Their former great food has gone wrong no where as good as it used to be !
Their rooms are really beat up now .
But , we love the employees and therefore keep going back from time to time .

Rooms were nice, food was decent, however my room was not ready at 4 and as I was there for a wedding it was pretty annoying.

Small rooms. WiFi wasn't working, when I asked the reception they just told me to keep trying. Ended up that the modem wasn't turned on! Uncomfortable beds and pillows.

Staff are great! They were kind and thoughtful! Everything is very cleans and has a great vibe to it

I have been here a few times for lunch, just because its in a good location when I'm out for a motorcycle ride. I am noticing the quality of the food slipping. I had a BLT with fries, the bacon must have been on the grill since breakfast, because it was so well done I had to remove it - or a dental visit would have been required to repair a broken tooth. This place was extremely slow at the time of my visit, I guess that might tell you something as well.

Breakfast buffet was terrible, front counter staff were very rude. The rooms are clean though and the steak sandwich is delicious.

The layout is awesome clean place and bright a good feeling and people are friendly.

Nice Casino. Well maintained and inviting. All the staff are super nice. I also like that the have a smoking section.

Staff is not the friendliest. Service in both restaurants was horrible. Refills are impossible to get and none of the servers have a personality. The rooms are ok, ours wasn't ready until 5:30 pm.

The hotel is awesome. The rooms are very well appointed and big! Beds are very comfortable. Pool and waterslide are fun and clean. The food here is amazing. I cant say enough about the staff. Everyone is always friendly. Casino is smallish... but still lots of fun.

A peaceful and enjoyable stay with a great mountain view. Price was good with buffet breakfast included. Restuarant food had a great selection with the nightly buffets proving great value. Rooms were well appointed, big enough and clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. Only an hour away from Calgary for a day trip. So glad we lucked upon it.

All you can eat lobster and prime rib on Fridays and Saturdays.

We pulled into the parking lot. Lawn was gross. it s covered with empty cans and there was a human feces sitting at the bottom of the light pole. Buffet dishes were empty. it s not good at all. The server was so rude and were not serving us . but when the bill came in , there was a charge 15% self service . What a joke. Mind you i already lost my appetite anyway before i walked in that place because of the sight outside of the hotel.

Nice rooms, great hotel and casino. Close to Calgary and Banff.

Went for the casino. Nice staff, cool building, lots of machines but they removed the one my friend cane to play.

A great option to avoid the insane prices in Canmore and Banff. Our room was clean and comfortable, and in good repair. If you're picky about such things, the mattresses felt either a little cheap or worn, but more than adequate; I suspect most people will fine them just fine.

Breakfast was included which added to the value; eggs, pancakes, cereal, juice, coffee etc. It wasn't anything special taste wise, but did us well enough to head into the mountains early with full bellies.

Wait times for buffet are a bit long since it is not that big of an area but the food is good. Non smoke area in casino is still really smoky and i couldn't stay in there too long. Pool and hot tub area are also smaller than I thought. The hot tub is not as hot as I would have liked. Still very enjoyable stay at the hotel.

Perfect location for visiting Banff, Canmore and K-Country. The staff are friendly and helpful. We loved it.

We went to the casino this visit . Their is smoking in side which can be overwhelming . In the no smoking section people still smiles and none of the employees enforced the no smoking rules . The slots are the same from 2 years ago and lots of machines were broken . The coffee was like dishwater .

Food was ok, staff ok. Cleaness gets 0.00 activites get 0.00 casino full of drunks.

Food was decent fairly reasonable prices and you can smoke in the restaurant and parts of the casino for those of you that smoke

Small casino and a little slow on the bar. The poor ventilation for the smoke removal. Most be hard on the staff. Buffet is always good.

Smoking is allowed inside so beware the lifeline chain smokers!

Nothing to do except gamble in the casino. Couldnt even get a cup of coffee except in the casino.

Very clean, not very busy and the food was quite good.

our stay in the junior king was great. bed and linens were top knotch. the pull out couch is terribly uncomfortable and good thing we didn't need it. staff got us an early check in and that was fantastic. great views and overall the hotel was excellent. pool and hot tub were fun for the kids, it was very clean. staff were all very friendly and pleasant. food was pretty good, we even ordered from the late night menu which is great at 10pm when you want food! casino was ok we didn't spend much time there. helicopter tours looked amazing and we sat on the field and watched take offs and landings for a while.
this hotel needs a snack bar or more snack items available after 6pm...like a corner store, also a good coffee bar would have been appreciated.

Decent hotel but table games open way to late. Also it's smoking so that's pretty nasty

Well I must of showed up on a bad day, I saw 2 staff member that actually smiled and seemed to enjoy their jobs some what all the others had scowls on their faces and sounded irritated to have to communicate with people. We had a room with a jacuzzi tub that had jets missing so we couldn't use it, the carpet was all bubbled, garbage under the furniture, a stained and frayed pull out couch that wouldn't close all the way. This hotel needs an update and a moral boost before I would come back or reccomend it to anyone.

Came here for the prime rib and lobster buffet. The prime rib and lobster was great but the other food is subpar. Still great value for what you are getting. It can get very busy though and reservations are recommended. I spent 20-30mins waiting in line to get the lobster and prime rib. Our server gave us the wrong drink and refused to change it though.

I personally would not go here for several reasons. Out in the middle of nowhere, nothing else to do but gamble, and not up to my standards if cleanliness. The only reason we stopped in was for the helicopter tours across the street. They allowed our tour bus with Rocky Mountaineer stay in a conference room while our tour took turns up in the copters.

Looks VERY well appointed. Prices on their website look steep for long stay but they promise to be the best in the area (inc Canmore) if you contact their sales department for stays longer than a week. We might do just that!

Stopped by on the way during a trip to Canmore. Played slots in the casino; machines worked fine and it was very clean. Had appetizers in the bar after as well: service was quick and the food tasted great. Would definitely recommend for a night out.

Went there for the white water rafting, gorgeous building and super pleasant staff

The surf & turf all you can eat buffet on Saturdays are a must after a hard days play on a mountain

I had received a free stay at this Hotel over the weekend. it was alright but there were a couple things that did bother me . First off, When checking in, the person at the counter (possibly a young German fellow) was kind and receiving, but did not do the proper steps of checking in. Things like telling us when the check out time was and we had to go all the way upstairs to find out that our key cards were not programmed to the door to allow us into the room, so we had to go back downstairs and get the programmed for the keys to work and walked all the way back upstairs to get settled in.

The Buffet was great, it had a moderate selection of food both Dinner and breakfast. The pool was awesome too, it's great they had a slide incorporated into the hotel. Super fast when going down, I had a blast! brought me back to my childhood.

Late at night, before going to sleep, I had tried to charge my phone but noticed that the KEYPD wireless Tablet wasn't working nor charging and we did not have a charging adapter as most hotels have integrated USB charge ports now-a-days, but there charging systems did not work. I called to the front desk and asked to see if anyone had a working tablet port or even a wall charger adapter, front desk wasn't much help as they didn't have anything. The Gentleman at the front counter (of Indian descent) said he would look into it for me to see if he could find anything. I did not hear back from him for over 30 minutes, so I called down and asked if he had found anything and he said "nothing sorry". When i asked him why didn't he call me back, he didn't say anything and hung up. It's the little things that bother me the most, and I also must admit that I should've been more prepared myself and brought a wall adapter with me, but other hotels that I've stayed at usually are good about it and have some spares laying around. However, I did get to stay at the hotel for no charge so I shouldn't be complaining too much, but would I ever go back? Possibly for the buffet specials but probably not to spend the night.

We stopped in for the Saturday buffet dinner after returning from skiing at Nakiska. Overall it was a good value with a good selection of items at a reasonable price. The restaurant was a bit smoky though and the service was slower than I am accustomed to.

I was very happy with what they offered and the extra amenities they provide as well as front desk service. Although one issue was when we arrived 2 hours after check in time the room was not ready and was told it will be in the next half hour. We decided to go to the casino but we weren't allowed in with luggage so that was a bit frustrating.

Went for their breakfast brunch. Pretty boring and limited selection.

Stopped for lunch, food was very good service on point. Sorry to see business like this suffering due to covid!

I work close to there and i go there for wing nights. Super cheap wings and they taste really good. I havnt stayed in the hotel though, the food is good.

I really liked the Stoney Nakoda Hotel because for a very good price, we received a clean room and good breakfast. (It's a buffet) The employees are also very nice and accomodating. I would defenaitly suggest this if you are looking for a room in the Kananaskis area.

Didn't gamble and didn't stay, just got food in the restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. Prices are what you'd expect from a casino. Service was great.

It was extremely disappointing!! We, as a family of 7, stopped in for breakfast on Sunday morning. When we arrived there were only a few tables occupied. Several tables arrived shortly thereafter. It was very difficult to get service, the bacon tasted like it had been sitting there for days, buttered slapped on cold toast, making it very unappealing. Food was cold, once we waited forever to get it, THEN had to wait for silverware! I maybe got 2 strawberries on my waffles. We barely wanted to pay for it, let alone tip for our next to non-existent service!!!

We really enjoyed the slots, but again, the service in the lounge was poor. Staff was slow to come serve us and bring us our drinks, and when we asked for our final tab it took another 15-20 minutes. And it was not very busy.

Nice place to stop for a rest, drink and play if you want to. Very well taken care of facility.

This was our first stay. We have eaten at the restaurant, but never stayed here before. The hotel was quite full, so we were told we would have to stay on the main floor. That was convenient for the restaurants and pool (on the main floor), but had the disadvantage of loud pluming noises from the floors above. There was a very loud running water sound every time water came down the pipes from upstairs.

We were in the mountain side of the hotel. We thought that the traffic on Highway 40 (about 100 meters from the hotel) might be a problem, but we could not hear it.

The room was clean and well-kept. The price was very reasonable and was further discounted when you provided the website with your e-mail address.

We had read a few so-so reviews of the breakfast buffet (included in the price). The buffet includes everything but bacon, though the second day we had ham. The staff keep the dining room clean and are very pleasant. Given the reasonable price (when not staying at the hotel), we would stop there for breakfast on the way to Banff or Kananaskis.

The slide in the pool is surprisingly fast and was never that busy. As a bonus they were filming part of Jumanji 3 in the far parking lot.

Just went to the restaurant after I got rained out in Kananaskis. Ordered nachos, and they had lots of cheese, which I appreciated. Service was a little slow. I am sensitive to cigarette smoke, so it was hard on my respiratory system to hang out in there for too long. However, I knew there would be smoking in there, so I did that to myself.

There is a smoking section and it's everywhere! Horrible.

Stopped in to use the washroom. Was clean. Would have gambled, but the table games weren't open at noon.

Friendly service at the bar, food is okay but quality isn't always consistent.

I think the location and building are great. I do think there is room for improvement on service.
