This is a well established property management company. We viewed one of their homes and found the staff to be very friendly and professional, they were able to effectively answer all our questions.
Lance really cares about his tenants, that's all I can attest to as I'm not an owner. When problems did arise, as they are wont to do, his team jumped to make it right. I lived in a unit of theirs for 18 months and only left due to reasons beyond their control. I'd rent with them again in a heartbeat. They have the online portal where you can present maintenance issues and pay rent and you'll get a call on the maintenance issue that day, even on weekends. They have a text line that they will always get back to you on if they can't call you. They really are great people to work with. Michelle and Brianna are super professional and pleasant to chat with, as well. If Stix and Stones is the management company you'll be taken care of, there's no doubt. Good luck!

The best real estate company in Denver. Lance got us a house that with anyone else, we would have lost. The seller was ready to put the house back on the market but he negotiated for us. He is extremely knowledgeable about the ins and outs of every part of the process. Our lender screwed up several things during the process, but Lance was always a calm in the storm. So excited to be in our new home and we would not have gotten it without him. Thank you Lance!!!

Michelle was absolutely awesome to work with my family and I as we navigated moving 1,800 miles and finding a rental. Have had continued issues with this company. As a renter I have reached out to them multiple times for several issues with no response. Extremely frustrating.
Lance and team have managed our property for over a year. I was hesitant to hire a management company as I have been doing it on my own and its costly. It has been worth every penny. When I have had to reach out Lance is responsive and helpful with all aspects of my property. He and his team take care of everything so I can focus on other things...I am thinking of buying more property as he has made this easy for us.
The Stix and Stones team are a good group of good people. They have great customer service and are easy to reach. I felt like I was treated like a human being and I didn't feel taken advantage of or cheated after ending my lease with them. They are honest and a great company in my opinion. They went above and beyond and am very thankful to them for that

I have been renting from Stix & Stones and have been impressed with the level of service from our Property Manager, Michelle, and her colleagues. All issues have been addressed promptly with Michelle taking extra care to make sure we are safe and comfortable. She offers help everywhere she can and genuinely cares about her tenants. I am glad to have found such a great company to rent from.

I really can't understand where any of the complaints are coming from within these recent reviews. I can understand if there were negative comments from a few years prior to management changing hands as my initial interactions with the first manager were nothing short of poor and negative and sometimes downright insulting, but because of the new structure of employees, I am about to sign my fourth lease term with Stix & Stones for multiple reasons:
1) Rent is still more than fair for the Denver metro area, especially for the area that I reside.
2) They have been the most responsive and helpful Property Management company I've ever worked with.
3) They're polite and friendly, someone is always there to answer the phone and if you leave a message, they will always be back in touch.
4) While there have been some issues with my unit (just as any living space will have), anything and everything has been addressed in an extremely timely manner, whether a plumbing leak or a light bulb in the hallway needing replacement, and they'll always follow up on any type of call/issue and address ASAP.
5) They're just good, honest people who want their tenants comfortable and happy within their living spaces, and they certainly go above and beyond compared to any others I've rented from in the past.
In short, I would highly recommend that anyone looking for a place to live in the Denver metro market get in touch with Stix & Stones. I was honestly worried that I wouldn't find a place to live within my budget and they certainly pulled through.

Beware of renting with Stix & Stones. My time in their unit was riddled with issues, and by the end of my lease it was crystal clear that they do not care about the safety of their tenants. They do not advocate for their tenants, operate ethically or attend to anything in a timely fashion. Steer clear.
This place is a law suit waiting to happen. I was looking into a location that was falling apart. They make the places look pretty but they are hide the major issues. Very rude women and I even hear a baby every time I call them. Please be careful of these people.
I have been living in one of their properties for almost a year now, since I have moved in I have had nothing but issues, from roaches to a furnace that wasn't warming up my water to a broken thermostat, my dryer wasn't working for months I didn't get a mailbox key for 6 weeks and was never given a pool key. When I had the dryer fixed the guy said that the hose was too long and it needed to be replaced with an aluminum one, that never happened. 3 weeks ago I had to have my stove replaced and I had told management that my washer was not working. Over a week and a 1/2 ago I was told that I would be getting a new washer. I have inquired almost every other day to find out what is going on as I was told the owner had purchased a new washer and it would be delivered. I have spoken to 3 different staff members all of which told me something different. I called for the 7th time and was told I would receive a call and as usual that never happened. It is very obvious this property management only goes to work to get a paycheck, they do not care about their tenants or giving them a comfortable living situation. It's a shame to treat tenants poorly, especially ones who pay their rent on time every month and take care of the property they are renting!
My family had a wonderful experience renting from Stix and Stones. Michelle and the staff were very responsive, and attended timely to any questions or maintenance that was needed. After renting in Denver for ten years, I can say easily that this was the best management we have received. We would still be in our rental if an unexpected out of state move had not occurred. Absoultely the worst unprofessional rental management company ever. Be very careful i strongly advise not to rent with them. They will charge you for stuff that was never repaired. They will charge you tonss of fees. They will not work with you and are very greedy. They will never do any repairs they don't care about your living conditions. In the end its the worst idea ever you will save allot of headaches and money if you take this advice
Just completed a buy-and-sell pair with Stix and Stones - they were awesome! Meagan Watson was our agent -- she was friendly, professional, and dedicated to our cause. Everything ran extremely smoothly on both deals and was well explained. Meagan made sure we got good deals in both transactions (bought for less than list price, sold for more than list price!). Whenever we had a question or issue, Meagan was quick to respond, regardless of time or day. Meagan was able to quickly establish a rapport with both the selling and buying agents, which was a major factor in the lack of issues with both transactions. We would definitely recommend Meagan and Stix and Stones to anyone looking to buy or sell real estate!
Our company works closely with Stix and Stones management. Michelle Chauveau is an amazing property manager. Anytime I have questions or can't get a hold of one of her residents, she is always very prompt to get back to me and quick to assist me.
Working with Tracy at Stix & Stones was fantastic. She found my dream home and made the process very smooth. I talked with her about what I was looking for and she quickly set me up on the mls to get specific listings. We set a day to look at some properties and this helped us get an actual idea of what I wanted. I found a house on the 3rd weekend looking and closed on it the following month. Tracy is fun to work with and great at communicating every step of the process. I highly recommend working with them to find your dream property in this highly competitive market.

Beware of Stix & Stones property management, Craig Becker and Lance Becker. I purchased a property managed by Stix & Stones, they received rent from section 8 for 2 of the units on July 1, told me they would return funds via direct deposit, then on the 20th told me they would have to cut a check, and finally today (28th) said they returned funds to HUD. They are either inept, unethical or both and I would be VERY careful before working with them. Sorry I had to rate them a 1 if 5, however, zero was not available
They no showed at our appt to view 1695 W 113th. No response to calls or emails.
I have now been waiting 47 minutes to view a property that they manage with Todd. I spoke with a woman in their office yesterday and I knew they had a pending application and asked that they please let me know if the owner accepts it. Her baby crying into the phone as well the whole time we were talking on the phone so it was kind of hard to hear (pretty unprofessional).
Fast forward to today when I drove 15 miles to view this property with an appointment at 11.30a. I have been calling since 11.40a and it s now 12.21a and no one can be bothered to answer the phone. I just left a message and am doubting they will return my call.
I work in property management, so I am familiar with the ins and outs of the industry and this is incredibly poor business practice. If I were an owner I would not want this company managing my property given that they are incredibly unresponsive to prospects and unprofessional as well.
Normally the leasing agent would follow up to let a prospect know the property has leased and to cancel the appointment but also inquire if perhaps their company had another property that may meet the prospects needs. I can only imagine that the care they give to the owners and tenants is of subpar quality as well. I would not recommend this company to anyone!
I used creg for the purchase of my home in Castle Rock he's very knowledgeable about the process as well as loans he was accessible even on weekends to calm my nerves and answer questions I would definitely use him again and recommend him to anyone
Lance really went the extra mile. We had a negotiation at inspection and again at appraisal. We were very nervous we would not work these things out with the seller. Lance negotiated to perfection on both accounts and we closed. I am convinced without him this deal would have crashed. If you are looking for a real estate agent that is calm, collected and very professional, this is your guy. Highly recommend.

Once we paid our security deposit and all of our fees, we were completely ignored. We had asked if we could move in our furniture earlier and had a few other questions, we were told they d get back to us, that was two weeks ago, our move in date is in a week. I have left many voicemails and no one has returned my call or tried reaching out to me. Very disappointed in their service.
Drove 30 minutes to this location from Aurora with my ten year old son to get some gem stones he wanted. Doors locked. No sign on the door explaining why. Hours posted are apparently not current. Looked pretty cool on the web but its about the size of a broom closet and as you'll see, many people in these reviews have had problems with this place being closed during business hours. Very unprofessional.

Sticks and stones help me rent my six bedroom house out in Westminster it was rented in three weeks and I got twice the rent that I was was getting day showed it they made sure everything was good when they moved in Lance and Michele make sure everything was taken care of thank you sticks and stones will definitely use you guys again
The front desk lady is so rude. They don t get back to you for ever, they told me to text them instead, which I thought was ridiculous but I did. Never got a response. The house I am renting is in terrible condition. Extremely unprofessional.

Tracy is amazing - she took the time to find out what I wanted in a new house and then provided me with the best matches. Even after I 'found the one" she kept in touch through the whole purchase process. Communication was always on spot and she relayed both the good, bad and ugly - giving me recommendations and, often, solutions that were outside of my thinking process. I would recommend her and her lending team in a heartbeat. She really found me and my teenagers our perfect home!
Just began a lease with Stix and Stones and have been stupified by their incompetence. We viewed the apartment a month before moving in and were told the 2nd bath needed plumbing work done but would be ready upon move in; false. The bathroom is entirely useless with a shower that doesn t drain properly and a toilet that doesn t flush because it will flood . They claimed to have done a thurough inspection; false. Within the first few days (if that) we found numerous maintenance issues such as a closet shelf that couldn t support the weight of a single pair of athletic shorts, a kitchen faucet with a handle that was in no way attached to the sink, and worse of all, a laundry closet door that was so disfunctional, it could not be closed and fell in the middle of night against a hallway wall.
Furthermore, the operation of this Property Management Group is done in such an unprofessional manner that it baffles the mind. A baby is constantly on site, either crying into the phone or sleeping in the lounge while visiters are told by a sign to not wake the baby . Most of our numerous calls and voicemails have been ignored, the staff is rude, and is so incompetent, that they couldn t provide us with 2 functioning keys.
There is no justifiable explanation as to why these people have been given the power to manage anything more than flushing a toilet.
We leased a property through Stix and Stones this past month. The whole process went smoothly and was super easy online. We moved from out of state and Michelle & Lance were so accommodating with the showing and leasing process. Definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a rental.
My wife and I have been using Stix & Stones for just over a year and half now. Lance and his staff are top notch; watching over our property with a keen eye. They are quick to let us know about any issues that arise and often take care of smaller ones on their own. We have never had a problem finding tenants or getting asking rent.
