It is a good dealership but when trading in a car they low ball you. They also try to sell features that enhance the value of your new car. When trade in time comes they are forgotten.

Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Made the buying experience very pleasant. Bob was extremely helpful and professional. Made driving 4 hours completely worth it. Andrew made the finance part so simple and easy. Definitely one of my best experiences on buying a truck out of state.

Extended Insurance offer feels too much like a commissionable add-on.

I needed to change my vehicle and had been looking for good options for months. After a thorough market research on all possible dealerships in Ames and Des Moines, I got the best deal, services and quality of car from this dealership. The staff was very professional and courteous and took care of the process very smoothly. Their price offer and trade-in value was also very competitive. I d highly recommend Stew Hansen.

I had a very good experience. It started with the recpetrecept who got me a salesmen all the way to the financial officer. I haven't had a bad service yet and this is my 2nd vehicle through them. Friendly staff and great customer service throughout the whole dealership.

My father sold cars for over 25 years. Im accustomed to a certain level of preferential treatment when it come to car dealerships. That is the level of service I received here. Had to do an insurance claim repair, and it was right next door to pain less. The staff was kind and accommodating, upfront, clear about details, and my car now runs like a dream.

They are very helpful, sadly the conditions I had to visit them, they guided me throught all the necessary.

This dealership is the very best in the central Iowa area. The second best is Willis. The worst Lithia. I have bought and had my cars serviced by Stew Hansen's for over 25 years. Stew Hansen's is the most honest and dependable dealership in Iowa. Honesty goes a long way in the auto industry, The service manager Frank Hansman is the best and his staff Jordan Shore and Todd who helped me this week are so good. However all the service staff is great. When I have purchased my cars here the sales people are very fair and knowledgeable. Thank You for all your help.

The sales, finance and most of the service team are so awesome to work with, i had a bad experience with one of the shuttle drivers and did a survey that had come via email and was honest with my thoughts and review. The very next day the head of service called me and was VERY apologetic and gave me his personal number to call him next time i come and he will handle everything personally. Otherwise, top notch.

Sales person was great. Bought my used van from them 8+years ago. Over 200,000 miles and it's still running. Would definitely go back.

Worst dealerships. Toke my Jeep there to get my fuel pump fixed and came home with lot of check engine lights on my vehicle. Now regretting why I chose them in the first place.

My wife and I didn't intend to buy a 2014 Jeep Compass last Saturday on our way to Dick Olson's funeral. However, Dave Ostrom was very persuasive and there were several Jeeps to look at. The financial manager was very good and we were surprised to be able to buy the Jeep for a smaller monthly payment than for the loan we had paid off on our 2006 Chrysler 300. So far all has gone well.

Just had an oil change and tire rotation on my Jeep Wrangler. Took it in tonight for an appointment first thing tomorrow. They started work immediately and finished it within an hour and they even rotated my tires so that the "Wrangler" on my spare was properly aligned. Just can't beat that service!

Had service done for a safety recall work done. Excellent service. Was finished in the time quoted. Very friendly shuttle drivers. Clean and comfortable atmosphere. They vacuumed my car when finished too.

Expensive lol $500 for 2 key fobs. Professional, good work, nice clean place.

Stews seems to simply only care about themselves . Simply would not help us out even with a car we had just purchased from them within a year. Trying to take advantage of the situation we re in . It s too bad . If they were willing to help us out they would of had a customer for life . Now I ll never want to buy another car there.

Persistence but I m not easily pressured. I think most people would feel uncomfortable. Disappointed with the trade in offer, when I took it away my payment amount went up a $100 even though I increased my down payment. I will not recommend purchasing here to anyone else.

Was good at 1st then, sold truck was considering. Then found different truck and while waiting in finance office sold that one. Just nad practice and this is coming from retired car salesman.

I brought my Chrysler 200 in for an oil change. There was some confusion regarding the prepaid oil change package that was easily resolved to my satisfaction. While there, we looked at a very sexy 2018 Jeep Renegade. Since my husband had upgraded his truck just a few weeks ago, they still remembered him. Very happy with the entire experience and will be recommending friends and family see them!

I just moved to Ankeny and I noticed an oil leak on my truck so I called Dewey Ram in Ankeny. They have over a month before getting in to the service department. I called Stew Hansen and they got me in and Fixed me up right away! Scott in the service department is great!

Took our Jeep in for service. Worked with Chip. He explained the issueds,costs associated with repairs and approximate time frame repairs would take. The repairs took longer than expected due to a part in back order but we got our vehicle back in time to take on vacation. Chip kept us up to date on repairs and was doing anything necessary to get us on the road so we wouldn't miss our trip. I even wenr out of my way to tell the service manager just how amazing Chip was to work with!! Thanks again!

Love this place! Jason Hachmeister was great to work with and made the process super easy for me. I am a first time car buyer and he was clear and explained how everything would work. Moved to Des Moines and finally need warranty work done so I went to Stew Hansen because service is very important to me and matters if I when I buy another new car. They replaced some transmission cooler lines that were leaking 2 weeks before warranty was up. The radiator started to leak in the same spot immediately after the warranty was up. They refuse to stand behind there work. period! I am looking for somewhere else to buy my next dodge.

Wow wow wow is a lot to say let's fast forward.today is 3/14/18,we had such a wonderful experience with Doug Burned a week ago we also traded in our 2016 Jeep patriot for a 2017 Jeep Renegade.The Jeep Renegade Latitude is a great ride.With having my new Jeep Renegade a week I love it.This morning I was on my way to work and was involved in a rear end collision.I was uninjured the Jeeps are very safe.When ask who I wanted to tow my Renegade I didn't really care who towed it all I cared about was getting it to the Pros at Stew Hansen Collision center.By the end of the day with the help of the great professionals in the collision center they come to my house to pick me up to take me back to get my rental vehicle.once again Thanks again to all at Stew Hansen.
