I appreciated the protocols that were in place in the service department during the current pandemic to maximize safety. I was extremely pleased both with the service and with my service provider. My only disappointment came while walking through the showroom to the restrooms because in the showroom one employee at a desk near the front door had a face mask but wore it under his nose and another employee took his face mask off to talk on his cell phone near the front doors. That made me very uncomfortable. So I sincerely hope the sales employees will take seriously Sterling McCall Acura s COVID-19 protocols during my future visits there.

Long story short, I bought a 2015 Acura TLX V6 on ...

Long story short, I bought a 2015 Acura TLX V6 on Jan. 2017 from Sterling McCall and I also paid couple thousand dollars for Extended Warranty. The odometer was read about 18K miles. Today, the odometer is reading 34,421 miles, running perfectly fine, no warning lights, nothing wrong at all and 4 new tires. However, on the Oct. 31 (Halloween) the temperature in Houston area was drop to 31-degree Fahrenheit. It was cold on Thursday morning and my Acura couldn t start so I had to jump cable to make it started. However, three warning lights VSA system, Precision All-Wheel Steer System, and Check Transmission were showing on the Dashboard. Next Friday morning my Acura couldn t start so I had to jump cable again to make it started. So, I decided to drop my Acura to Sterling McCall Dealer next Saturday morning to check which I did. So, I met Christian Gonz as a Service Advisor. I told him the battery issue. First, he told me my Acura is not under warranty that is wrong. He said, it takes 2 hour and 30 minutes to find out. I told him OK, please call my cell phone, I have to go lunch with my friend. Around 4PM, he called me and asked when was the last time I replaced the battery. I told him I never did since I bought that car. Then, he said the battery wasn t original from Acura, he had to find out on Monday because the store is about to close soon and closed Sunday. He offered me loan a car that I declined. On Monday around 5PM he called me and told me the battery was replaced that also fixed the other two warning lights but the Precision All-Wheel Steer System is not gone away and stay. He also said there was Coke spilled on SBW Shifter could causes the problem and not under warranty. I told him I never drink Coke or Soda. He asked me to pay $164.50 for diagnostic to find the root cause. I said OK go ahead. Next Tuesday around 8:10AM, he called me and said that SBW Shifter needs to be replace that cost $768.20 before Tax and Shop Fee. I declined that because I don t have that much money at the time, in the mean time I still pay $1100 on my Credit Card for 4 new tires that replaced couple months ago from Sterling McCall. My Acura was recalled to fix something else, they recommended to replace 4 tires which I did and cost me little over $1100. Around 9:30AM on Tuesday 11/05/2019, I picked up my Acura and paid $168.50 for diagnostic (the code PC26C3). But, all the three warning lights VSA system, Precision All-Wheel Steer System, and Check Transmission were still on the Dashboard. So, the other two warning lights were not fixed as he said. I talked to my friend about it. He took my Acura on the same day and went to his friend s shop. In 30 minutes, he took a picture on my Acura s Dashboard and called me BaM! it cleared. It needs to reset after battery die or replaced battery, that s it. Problems solved. Bottom line, Mr. Christian Gonz lies to me several times about my Acura that is not under warranty, Coke spilled, SBW Shifter damaged, battery not original and pop, the Precision All-Wheel Steer System must be fixed cost $768.20 first to clear the other two warning lights, I believed they didn t do any diagnostic but charged me $168.50 for it, and kept blah blah blah. I m working hard to earn money to pay Rent, Dental, Insurance, Car, Utilities, Gas and Food, but not waste money like this to Sterling McCall. From now on, I never buy or bring any car from or to Sterling McCall again, they are not honor their warranty, dishonest, lies, made some problems up to void under warranty, treat their customers like idiots. I need to call in to cancel Extended Warranty because it is not worth it when Sterling McCall Dealer is not honor that.

Booked an online appointment for oil change with coupon within 30 min of arrival. ThEy we re ready. They asked owner to drop the key in a zip loc bag which I thought was a good way to keep it from being touched by different people. The service and wash was done in about an hour. Smooth and easy. Great job.

First and foremost, I am absolutely still in love ...

First and foremost, I am absolutely still in love with my purchase that I made back in November of 2016.
Unfortunately, I am disappointed with the service I have received here today.
I recently refinance my car and requested a GAP refund, after trying for several days to reach someone to help me in this matter, I got in touch with Ana. Ana was very helpful over the phone and sent me the proper documents to fill out, unfortunately that's where the helpfulness ended. After forwarding the requested documents, I never heard anything from here again. I left frequent voicemails and called for updates. After two weeks, I decided to go in person to receive an update.
I was lead into Will's office who was gone for less than 5 minutes to check on my case. Upon returning he informed me that I would need to contact the lender to request the refund, which was not in the GAP contract nor from the letter I received from the original lender, nor what I was told over the phone by Ana two weeks prior. After more carefully explaining the process, I was satisfied with his answer. Upon asking why it took me having to come in person, and him taking less than 5 minutes to find an answer I've been waiting for weeks for, he unapologetically told me that "people forget." After explaining to him that I've been trying to consistently reach out for weeks, he gave me a very lackluster apology.

I am not dissatisfied with my purchase, but I am disappointed with the service I have received. You don't simply forget about a customer.

I purchased my Certified Pre-Owned RDX through a different dealer with the optional Roadside Hazard Warranty and Platinum Maintenance / Service Warranty in July 2017. I scheduled a B1 maintenance and needed a tire replacement which had a slow leak. Sterling McCall would not honor the warranty.

I am highly dissatisfied, and I do not recommend the Sterling McCall Acura service department.

I come here for service and Shazain has been a rockstar. Very knowledgeable and courteous. Humble and very helpful. He has kept my cars safe and sound for the road ahead of me. I purchased a car from Sterling McCall Acura and had a horrible experience. I do not recommend purchasing a car from this dealership. I was sold a car in bad conditions. Shortly after purchasing the car I noticed it smelled like gas inside outside my car. I also had oil leaking. I took my car back 2 days after purchasing and was told there was nothing they could do for me because my warranty is not effective until 30 days of purchase. I spoke to the sales manager Blake and the General manager Kim Eddy. Kim was very rude and did not seem to be concerned. Driving in a car that smells like gas with a baby is clearly a health hazard, and Sterling McCall Acura could careless.Customer service was horrible. I do not recommend doing business with Sterling McCall Acura. I m very disappointed with their customer service.

Deal was made within a few minutes of talking to Michael. Shantae Nash was extremely polite, sweet and funny. Art (finance) was a character. Very funny and easy to deal with as well. I would definitely do business with this place again and deal with the same people.

UPDATE (16 Sep 2020): Buyer beware! Do not pay for the Customer Protection Package (a $995 value). This package was to include wheel locks, ceramic window tint, and nitrogen filled tires. Fortunately, I was able to negotiate this price down; however, none of the items were included on the vehicle when I drove it home. It wasn t until I went to Discount Tire to have a leak repaired that they told me that the tires didn t have nitrogen in them. Additionally, the person at Discount Tire wouldn t even do the work because, not only did the vehicle not have wheel locks, it didn t even have the correct OEM lug nuts for the Acura. Lastly, the ceramic window tint wasn t even done on the vehicle (I confirmed this when I went back to the dealership to have them put lug nuts and wheel locks on the vehicle). It s true that the dealership corrected all of the items I should have received from the beginning; however, they were willing to allow me drive the car home hoping I wouldn t notice the items I paid for weren t done. Btw, wheel locks cost about $40, nitrogen in the tires (with lifetime refills) costs about $40, and a quality ceramic window tint costs about $350, so all in that should cost about $430, not $995.

I had a wonderful experience at Sterling McCall Acura when I purchased a previously owned 2017 Acura ILX. Darrell Babineaux was extremely helpful in virtually showing the vehicle via FaceTime and the price was right. I expressed to Darrell that I needed the closing process to be very efficient because I limited time to sign the papers. When I arrived at the dealership, the car was prepped, and Darrell flipped me the keys and told me to take it for a spin. Upon my return Mr. Patel in finance had all the documentation prepared and I was in and out of the dealership in record time. I couldn t be more pleased with my purchase, the manner in which I was treated and the general friendliness of the staff. There was a lot of sales activity going on, but I never felt neglected during the process.. I will definitively be returning to Sterling McCall when it comes time to trade my 2018 Accord Touring. Thanks to Sterling McCall Acura for an excellent experience.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Sterling-McCall Acura. I live in St. Louis and flew down to Houston on a Saturday. Despite booking the flight the night before & not giving them much notice, they were ready & waiting for me when I arrived at the dealership (close to closing mind you)! They treated me like a long lost relative they couldn't wait to see & whom they had all the time in the world for!
They walked me through all of the features of my pre-owned RDX, along with syncing my car with the Acura Link application on my phone, familiarizing me with all the features the car has (which is substantial, even as a base model)!
Signing the financial paperwork with Bobby was also an enjoyable and efficient experience! Not to mention, the comfort of having one of the most inclusive car warranties in the industry! Acura does things right & they back up their vehicles knowing that they make an exceptional product that is built to endure whatever your life has in store for it!
They topped me off with gas, ensured I had snacks and beverages for the drive home and even checked in to make sure I made it back safely.
Buying a car is something that Sterling-McCall has turned into a genuinely wonderful experience and I would highly recommend considering them for your next vehicle purchase... Because they aren't just here for buying a car, but for making you part of the family for the life of your car (Unless you live 12 hours away haha! That would make an afternoon oil change into a roadtrip).

These guys are crooks and looking to prey on what they deem easy targets, got quoted by the service manager thousands of dollars to replace something that was not damaged and wasted my time so called trying to diagnose the issue. I went to an independent mechanic and got it diagnosed and fixed the same day for $120 all in, which included the brand new part from Acura and replacement.

This is supposed to be the makers of the car and they can t do their job, cheats.

For better service go to John Eagle Acura, if you want to buy a car or have your car serviced where there are true professionals and stand by their word.

Don't buy GAP Insurance when you're about to financing with them. They told me whenever I paid off my car, the rest will be automatically refund to me. I refinanced my car and cancel their GAP cause my current bank already took care of it. It's been 3 months and I haven't received my refund yet. Tried to contact abt 3 weeks and they was like they're going to check it for me, but no answer has been provided. No one care or take responsibility for that. Such a shame!

DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE!!!! If I could give them a negative rating I would!! I bought my daughter a car had it 6 months and it had broke down 6 times in the 6 months. She was driving home from college and the engine went out! Fatih the sales manager assured me that he was putting my daughter in a good car for the second time and that everything was checked out and in good condition .
Now, I have had the VW since March 19th and this car has been in the shop twice. The first time it was the water pump and I payed for it and moved on. Now, it is in the shop again and it is the fuel pump and the left and right CB boot. Which the warrant guy and the VW dealership it is currently at, explained to me that the oil first starts to leak from the CB Boots for a long period of time and then if that is not taken care of they will eventually break. He said that their mechanic's should have noticed that before selling me this car and therefore this is a pre existing condition and they will not cover this on my warranty. So now I have had the car for about two months and have to shell out $681.19.
I also want you to know that Fatih Sales Manager was trying to get me to fix the Audi through my warranty after I traded it back in to them! This is so wrong in so many ways!!

I called the warranty place and my previous warranty has not yet been cancelled either since March!

I have been calling and emailing them for days and no-one will return my call, not even the GM! Sales guy Jason Foster told me in so many words, this is the car I get for the money I spent!!

Believe it or not I still bought a car from here which I couldn't even believe. I bought a car from Sterling McCall Acura about 20 years ago which was a great experience. The car buying experience is no longer pleasant at this dealership. Customers are more or less a mark rather than an opportunity for service. This was best exhibited by the Acura sales manager Kris. They put a 995 markup on the advertised price called a customer advantage protection package. This is a charge that Kris felt should not be any point of negotiation and every customer should be excited and happy to pay. He pointed out that I drove all the way from Beaumont to buy a car and I told him I drove to look at a car, me buying a car is up to him. He asked if we wanted them to take the tint off the windows because we weren't going to pay the 995. At that point I realized what type of person I was dealing with and was not going to buy a car from them. As I was leaving I let everybody in the building know that the thousand dollar markup was a scam and their advertisement was a lie. It was not my finest moment but it was true. I tried to leave but they still had the keys to my car. When the salesman brought me my keys he talked me into staying and promised me I would have a different manager to deal with. The new manager I dealt with was great and the salesman was great but Sterling McCall should be ashamed of their 995 markup which is basically to rip off little old ladies and people who aren't paying attention. Sterling McCall should not put their staff in the position to have to defend such a ridiculous charge, except I think Kris loved it. By the way the markup listed on the window sticker is $1495 customer Advantage protection package. A car's a car and a deal's a deal so I would go back. I just would never deal with Kris and I would never entertain the ridiculous markup. I would never send my grandmother to buy a car from Sterling McCall unless I went with her. It's a shame this exist with such a major dealership and don't tell me it's all dealerships because it's not.

I just purchased a new Acura RDX Monday. I was a little anxious about beginning the search and was to meet Darrell Babineaux to help me, he had responded to my internet inquiry. He instantly put me at ease. He is OUTSTANDING, he was informative, attentive and so respectful. We visited while looking at the vehicles and we enjoyed the test drive. Once we made the decision it was time to meet Kim Eddy to talk price. NEVER has anyone worked so hard to meet my needs. She is simply AMAZING !!! She also was so respectful, courteous, kind and joyful. I don't know how long these two professionals have been with your dealership but I do know you better do EVERYTHING possible to keep them there !!! I'm 70 years young and I've bought MANY cars through the years, this has been without a doubt the best experience I've ever had purchasing a new car. When I went to finance another dynamic young man, Clayton Lewis worked with me. He also was AWESOME !!! He too was very kind, attentive and informed. I will tell everyone I know to shop at Sterling McCall Acura and to ask for Darrell, Kim & Clayton. I came to buy a car and I honestly feel I was so blessed to leave there with 2 awesome new friends !!!! Thank you Darrell and Kim !!!! I Will be back !!!!! Y'all are THE BEST !!! UPDATE: i CALLED the number the manager gave in the response RIGHT AWAY and a lady told me "Jim Smith doesn't work here anymore", so yeah, so this is absolutely a fraud dealer, don't listen to whatever they say or better get away from them

BEWARE OF FRAUD!!!!!!!!!!
my first car and i had extremely bad experience with this dealer. On the day of purchasing the car, my brother and i talked to the financial guy about the paper work. He gave me 2 different financial rates and promised to give lower rate if i buy the GAP insurance plus extended warranty and explain to me about those 2. I agreed on that and we signed some papers.

When i got home, talked to friends and realize that because my car still has 2 more years warranty and i put down payment, so i don't really need those 2. I looked at the contract, now this is where the problems arise. In the contract, beside GAP insurance and extended warranty, i just realized i signed for the "dent guard" and "resistall paint protection", which the guy never explained or talked to me anything about those. This was also my fault because i thought those were part of the "GAP insurance", but still, he never told me what they are or how much i have to pay for those.

Now talk about money, my car worth 19k, plus tax and other cost, it should be 21k, the GAP insurance is $750, extended warranty is $2400, and the cost of "dent guard" and "resistall" is almost $4000, so the final cost that i had to pay for the car is almost 28k, $9000 more of the original price. I did some research, the resistall is just a sealant coating that usually costs around $400-$800, but they charged me almost $3000 for it, also the coating was never applied to the car, which means i had to pay for the thing that i never had. This is absolutely a fraud.

Things didn't stop there. I was so mad and called them to cancel all those things (because i'm from different state). They said i can only cancel when i do my first payment, so i waited until i did my first payment and then called them again. Then they said they cancellation was done, i should wait 2-3 weeks. 2-3 weeks later, nothing happened, so i called them again, then they said it usually take 6-8 weeks since 1st payment. 8 weeks later, still nothing, i called again, they said i should wait 2 more weeks, the refund check was on the way to my bank. 2 weeks later, still nothing, i told them if they still do nothing, i will take this to the court, right after that they sent me the confirmation for the cancellation of GAP and extended warranty and told me they will work on the dent guard and the resistall. I waited for 5 more weeks and nothing from them, so i called again and they said they are still working on it, however, the resistall, which costs $3000, can not be cancelled. I understand that it is a protection coating, when you put it on the car, you can not cancel it; however, the coating was never applied to my car, how can it not be cancelled??? why do i have to pay for the thing that i never have???

It has been 6 months since i bought the car, at the same time, i have been paid for the interest of those money, they just try to extend the process as long as possible to collect the interest. I was very patient to them already. I will talk to an auto fraud attorney and bring this to the court to see what i can do.

THIS IS THE WORST DEALER EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Clayton in finance was very quick and informative about additional plans such as the Acura care plan and maintenance plan - which I think was worth the buy. Charlie, who is also in the finance department, introduced me to the service supervisor, Antonio, for my future needs. It was a very excellent experience at this dealership. I normally don't write online reviews but the experience I had purchasing a vehicle from Sterling McCall Acura was such a stellar experience that I felt compelled to write this. I found the vehicle through an online search and, after a few phone calls with Michael Johnson (MJ), we had an agreement on price. The next day, I received a call from Bobby, the Finance Manager, who discussed various financing options with me.
Bobby was able to get a better rate than my credit union. As an out of state purchaser, I had to fly to Houston to look at the vehicle. MJ picked me up at the airport and within a couple of hours, we had all the paperwork signed and I was on my way home in our new vehicle. MJ and Bobby were a pleasure to work with, as were the rest of the staff I met at Sterling McCall Acura. All-in-all, purchasing a vehicle from Sterling McCall Acura was a great experience and I wouldn't hesitate purchasing a vehicle from them again!

It was incredibly disappointing to drive through Houston to find that the vehicle had been sold the same day without a courtesy phone call from anyone so that I didn t waste my time. For that reason alone I won t be shopping here or recommending this dealership.

This was my first time coming to the dealership for Acura service and they have a new customer for good! I went in for a simple oil change and they made it just that, simple. David Gilbert was my service advisor and he went out of his way to take care of me and my car. Shelby was great to deal with. Having had a really bad experience with another dealership the week prior it was so refreshing to find a dealership that didn't lie or play games! He treated me with respect and honestly, which I truly appreciated. I would highly recommend Shelby and Sterling McCall! Pablo in the finance department was a pleasure to work with and made the whole paperwork process a positive one. I can honestly say there was not a single negative in my purchasing experience at Sterling McAll. It's hard to find good customer service these days but Shelby and Pablo definitely provided just that!

I don't know why I cannot go back to edit my ratin...

I don't know why I cannot go back to edit my rating, but I added one star to my previous two stars. I only added one star because the manager, Kim, called me this morning to explain that there was a miscommunication between the salesman and me. They couldn't have told me what we were looking at financially without speaking to the bank. Completely understandable. However, being told not to worry, that they will take care, no worries, and it will work out does not help when we are in the middle of making a big financial decision. I appreciate Kim reaching out and calling. She said that she would handle our paperwork and speak with the bank on our behalf. I did not hear back from them, so I called to check up on the status. I was told by Emad that we should have an answer by tomorrow morning. Depending on how the interactions go, I will update the review again if necessary.

**UPDATE**
Even though we did not buy a car from here. Kim did do everything in her power to work with us, and tried to give us a good deal. I would recommend working with Kim if you can when you come here. She was very pleasant on the phone and via email. She was patient and she really go to bat to try to make things work. Thanks Kim. You definitely redeemed our experience with the dealership.

So we found the exact Cadillac that we wanted and ...

So we found the exact Cadillac that we wanted and called the dealership to let them know we would be stopping by the next day with check in hand to buy the car. Our salesman was ecstatic (of course) and that he would pull the car off the lot and have it waiting for us...sounds good right? We were supposed to be there at 11 but couldn't make it at that time. We made sure to express to our salesman that we were still coming just running late since we were en route. Well when we got there the car had been sold that morning. Our salesman proceeds to tell us that there is a 2 hour hold on the vehicles once they are pulled from the lot and they couldn't hold it anymore. So he proceeds to try and talk us into another vehicle in a color we clearly stated that we didnt want. My problem is not only did we say we were only interested in a specific vehicle but also it was sold before we got there and no courtesy was given to us or our time. He knew the vehicle was gone before our appointment time and rather than say it's sold but I can try to find you another, the salesman decided to give us the news after waiting for an hour then trying to talk us into another vehicle in the hopes he could still get that commission. Believe it or not car salesmen, some buyers know exactly what they want and don't have time for games. We left the lot in search of another and 45 minutes later we were in the Cadillac XTS we wanted.

The service manager Tim Machuca leads a very knowledgeable and personable team who's number one focus is always customer service. I brought a used MDX into Sterling McCall Acura for a PPI - Pre-Purchase Inspection. I've never owned an Acura before so this was important to me. Everything from scheduling the appointment to payment was super easy and FAST. The service was amazing. In particular, Brandy, my service advisor was literally like the angel I needed. She was so knowledgeable and gave me so much information about what to expect with owning an Acura. I can't wait to buy it.
