Beautiful historic building.
Rich in history where it was often on the demolition list.
Now a 5 star hotel, but also because of its location. Do you like classy, then it is worth it.

A solid triple does not pull on five stars. The rooms are not bad, but the bed is scary soft, the pillows are big, the blanket is winter. Not enough sleep, from the word at all. Huge plus of separate numbers - a view of the beach and the sea. Location - on five points. Staff schooled. In addition to the native, in English - everyone with whom I spoke. Well, in German with individuals. Breakfast is a buffet, not worth 25 euros. And in general, the price per room, in my humble opinion, is too high. I understand that, if desired, flaws can be found everywhere, but I have stated my subjective opinion. It seems that everything is fine, but not five stars.

During the stay, I was stolen from my hotel room. When reporting to the reception, one was given the feeling of equality. Unfortunately, the apology was only apologized on the day after the report, and only after a further request as to how things will continue.

Just been to the Kurhaus for the first time, we had the Valentine package.
We had a normal room, with chocolate and a luxury bottle of champagne with 2 glasses of arrival. Room was clean and it had a new nice bathroom, the minibar was extensively stocked and that was included in the price. in the room you still had pringles, nuts and good coffee creamer so nothing was missing! Mints on your pillow, showering rituals. The hotel is really more than beautiful and I thought it was quite an experience to sleep there. The breakfast was really really good better than any other hotel I've been to! Again, nothing was missing and they had everything.
Real quality :) the only downside was that we saw a table by the window only there were the plates of the previous people, so I had to put that on the table next to it myself so that we could sit there.
And then the beautiful view ... delicious breakfast overlooking the sea and the boulevard. You can also look out over the sea from the pool, there is also plenty to do in the area and the location is really great! we enjoyed it very much and will definitely come back, I recommend it to everyone.

It is a nice historic hotel. The breakfast is good, the rooms are clean and big enough. The staff is very friendly. We do not lack anything here.

Old room, wallpaper comes loose, butts on balcony, broken balcony door. And that for a night of a few hundred euros. Found the price / quality ratio totally out of balance.

Slechte service. We zouden vanaf 3 uur in kunnen checken, echter toen wij om 5 uur aankwamen bij het hotel werd ons verteld dat we nog moesten wachten omdat onze kamers nog gecheckt moesten worden. Na binnen een half uur drie keer gevraagd te hebben of we al konden inchecken hebben we er op aangedrongen dat we onze kamers in wilden. Echter bleek dat de kamers net pas schoongemaakt waren door een nat glas, gesloten kluizen en missende elementen in de kamer.

We have taken the executive room with sea view here. Beautiful of course such a view, but a sloppy 250 euros I thought it was not worth it. From the outside it all looks very luxurious, but on the inside it has fallen a bit. Time for a renovation or surrender 1 star.

On arrival received by a very nice lady, room show everything was fine! But in the evening we got a knock on our door and window by a gentleman who was sitting next to us because we were talking too loud and the TV was too loud ?! It was a Saturday evening and we literally did not dare to laugh anymore and the TV was no louder than volume 6. The gentleman in question later got another room and his stay was reimbursed and he was offered a breakfast !! DO WE LIVE IN THE REVERSED WORLD? We could not enjoy our stay and because the gentleman threatened with a bad review everything was offered to him right away, I left it immediately but absurd that the hotel does not even come with a compensation or something !!! Disappointing!!!

Just dirty and the staff very rude !!! We changed the room twice, because it was very dirty ..... but it was not better. Even the desk at the front desk was covered with a thick layer of dust. We had the staff on it, and got the answer "this is not your room". The breakfast was ok, but not 5 * worthy. The waiter has fallen a fork on the floor .... lifted, clean-blown and put back on the table .... just disgusting. Never again!!! Every hostel has better service

After reading some bad reviews I decided to share my experience as well. To start with super room, all very clean and tidy, the minibar is refilled daily and towels are also changed daily. Now with the corona to do very well, everything is taken into account, we could register at a time when we want to have breakfast, the breakfast was delicious. Top! The staff is also extremely friendly and proactive. DEFINITELY recommended, well worth your money and you won't regret it.

Stayed at this hotel for 4 days. We are very satisfied and the view from the room on the North Sea is just fantastic ... We'll be back!

Beautiful building. Good location. Put in room with no air moved to room with scaffolding in view. Asked deck people 3 different times about laundry 3 different answers. Sorry I used it extremely outrageous cost.Room carpet very spotted soiled maid service didn't know how to show us how to operate coffee maker-how do they clean it? Took two nites to get extra blanket.

Great location, family room ok, but I would always breakfast on the beach.

High tea taken together with my mother and sister. T was okay but we have really had better. Coincidentally heard an employee tell another couple that they could not have high tea if they had not ordered because not everything had been taken out of the freezer. For this money I expect fresh!

Had a nice stay on the executive floor (5th floor so nice view). Full sea view. Delicious enjoyed. Have breakfast brought as room service (tip, if you want, hand in the breakfast list the night before so that they arrive on time). Delicious eaten in the evening in restaurant Waves. Nice sunset. Very lucky with the weather. We enjoyed my birthday and our 25 months together. I just love the sea and the sea air. The beautiful sunset. I can enjoy it. Oh yes, I had a pain in my back (because of my health) so I wanted to go to our hotel room so that I could lie down and sit in a different chair. I thought it was great that we were allowed to take our Irish & Spanish coffee to our room so that we could drink it there. And wow they were really FUN!

Yes, a bit old here and there, but his age is just the poor of this classic luxury hotel. We had beautiful view of the beach. Yes the carpet I may leave the oldest rooms. But the beautiful ballroom at the entrance makes up for a lot. And what a breakfast! Super! (We do 5 or more hotels per year). There is only 1 place I want to spend the night in Scheveningen and that is here! Tip: take a 1 person (for 2) fruit de mer in Catch by Simonis! A wonderful combo this hotel + that restaurant in the slightly further port

We really liked the hotel in the photos. The outdoor area, the lobby and the dining area were very impressive and very nice. The rooms are not 5 stars. Our room was way too small for 2 people. We didn't have a real closet and the bathroom cannot be used by the elderly. Vie too high entry. The breakfast is a buffet where you can get everything. The bottom line is the rooms are unfortunately not very nice. The parking is a cheek, even the drinks here on the beach promenades are far too expensive. 6.75 euros for a large beer. You should take a lot of money with you here.

Yesterday we took a terrace at Kurhaus because of my father's birthday. With the 1 order (coffee, white wine, sprite) it already went wrong sprite, white wine check. But where's the coffee? And the waiting time was 20 to 30 minutes and the terrace was almost empty. Tap course doesn't hurt because they don't know how to tap; Beer without a collar; we are not in England.

2 servings of croquettes waited for almost 75 minutes. Cows still had to be slaughtered; No idea.

Overall impression it was a nice building; but otherwise it was the Can You Draw experience. I don't understand that they can still hold out. Just a dream moment, I hope they will improve, wait, they don't know that and or they don't want to.

Very nice in the winter also with kids, there is still much to do within walking distance even in the cold (ice rink in front of the entrance, light show at the hotel on the sea side, ice sculpture festival, sealife, cinema) Very nice is that you inside can swim in the heated pool with sea view. The hotel inside brings you all in the Christmas spirit!

Great location right on the beach! Unfortunately, that is also the only positive; this hotel is totally faded glory: rooms, interior, it really needs a makeover. But that is not even the worst: in addition, also bad service. Unmotivated staff ,. a reception to be really sad (staff is just in front of the entrance (near the reception) smoking a cigarette, while there are huge lines in front ...)

This hotel has really lost its "grandeur" since Amrath took over and that is a great pity. Been a couple of times a few years ago when it was still Steigenberger and the staff also spoke decent Dutch to you. Have just returned from a 2-day stay and I had already heard from several people that it had changed so much but still wanted to experience it myself. The room was really fine and mooj clean and a lovely bed but it is such a shame that the Kurzaal has been converted into a kind of uncomfortable conference room and breakfast is now served in the restaurant on the sea side and is terribly unsociable and above all very impersonal .. It is just like a food shed. Staff do not see you when you walk in or leave and the quality of the breakfast and how it is presented is far away. It was that breakfast was included with our package, otherwise we would have gone to breakfast for much less in a beach bar where you sit much nicer and your scrambled eggs are not a snot .. The atmosphere of how it was is totally gone. We will unfortunately not stay here anymore.

Service was slow. No butter with the shrimp croquettes with bread and no dressing choice with the ceasar salad. Was very disappointing. What a shame the location was great.

We came in for coffee - it took a while before a staff member was available. Also at checkout took it here. Coffee was nice.

Doesn't meet the expectations. I reserved a sea view room and only when I got there I was warned that there where renovations going on and that the view was completely obstructed (as you can see in the pics). They made a 15% discount because of that. Friendly staff.

Have only been to the toilet here. Super luxurious and nice and neat. Even free toilet visit, but no toilet paper in the powder room.

During the massage the ladies found it necessary to whisper and laugh. Mega unprofessional !! Never again so ..

Beautiful hotel from the outside.
Reception at check-in, too jovial for a 5 star hotel. Received envelope with 2 cards pressed in hands with no explanation what they were for. Obviously knew what one was for, but I don't know the second one yet. So no explanation at all.
When asked where the toilet was, someone from the 4 staff members who were talking to each other finally responded.
The executive room was fine, clean and spacious and, with 34 degrees, the air conditioning more than welcome.
The balcony looked more like a dovecote, droppings everywhere and the patio furniture.
Breakfast was okay, plenty of choice.

Small room, they didnt even change our bed for a bigger one. Breakfast is expensive and not that exclusive. Room was clean.
