Rooms too small in relation to the price. Breakfast not really special, uninviting breakfast room. Wellness (swimming pool and fitness room) very small. Remains beautiful hotel with great location.

This is a beautiful and beautiful hotel. The view from the inside and outside is located in the center of the area and close to the beach, near it are many different restaurants and sometimes there are various activities.

High expectations, very disappointed.

High expectations, very disappointed.
It started at check-in: my reservation was not found. Nervousness, again at the confirmation email I looked at me. Eventually after a lot of waiting it was all right. The hotel was under construction, which was a shame, but well, it doesn't bother you. 1 of the 2 lifts was under repair, causing very long waiting times in the morning at the lift. That is not the worst either. Breakfast to the max (therefore given 2 *), no time to explore spa and wellness.

In the bathroom you cannot let the tap run slowly or the water runs over the entire sink.
I was here for professional reasons. I work all day and then like to stay in a neat and tidy room, which I paid for myself after looking at the range of hotels in the area. I am sorry but this room did not meet that standard, certainly not for a 5 * hotel. I regularly go to hotels and have stayed in fewer stars, for less money with a better room.
That is the reason why I am really not satisfied: I paid 423 euros for this room and it is not worth it!
Early booking is also not the solution: apparently the hotel system does not always handle this reliably, and the price is more expensive than with a walk-in the day itself ...
Reported this to the hotel by e-mail, received an answer that I would get a different room, but received the e-mail on the day of check-out ... They would still contact me, but have not heard anything more.

I think it was cheap during the low season, but I was also renovating the bathtub in the room with a view of the pier. As for the stop of the name of the hotel, the bus and the tram were good. There is also a ballroom or a large hall in the hotel. If you are an art lover, why not go around the art around the building? It was a pity that I could not sleep widely because I had a double bed and two narrow European style singles, and the breakfast was the same every day.

No German speaking staff at the reception ...

Because of all the bad reviews I went here with mixed feelings. I have to say that I had 100% better than expected. The staff is super nice and helpful. It is an old hotel because it creates a great atmosphere. Breakfast overlooking the sea was amazing. The rooms cozy and very clean. A wonderful bath and well-stocked minibar was included in the price. The Christmas decorations made the feeling complete. I'll definitely come back!

Large and clean luxury suite with two rooms with sea view. The house / building is very nice and the location is of course excellent on the Scheveningen beach. The staff very polite and friendly.
But: the car park is already full on arrival.
The Hague Red Cross gala also took place that evening and the relaxing weekend was over. I wish we had been informed about this beforehand by email.

Wedding ruined.

Wedding ruined.

Honeymoon package booked as a wedding gift for 324 euros. That had to be an unforgettable experience according to their website. When the bridal couple (bride very pregnant!) Arrived tired from the day, they checked in and turned out to be no water throughout the hotel. Imagine: In corona time (!!!) not going to the toilet and not being able to wash hands ... The couple did not receive the booked suite and the ordered champagne was not delivered as well.

When they came to reception to report that there was no water,
initially, a 30% discount was offered if they stayed. Later when they got angry and wanted to go home, after a lot of discussion, they could come another time without paying. The bride and groom went home right away. The empathy of the reception staff was zero to non. A ruined wedding day, and you can NEVER redo that. However, the whole bill was happily debited from the credit card.

Later with a lot of effort (first had to block the account via my credit card) had our money back. What a bad hotel this is. Even if you want to complain, they don't even put you through to the general manager, super arrogant. Not even worth 2 stars let alone 5.

Be wise stay away from here!

I just love the atmosphere of yesteryear in the Kurhaus. I really enjoy going there. As a resident of The Hague I have never stayed there. We sat on the terrace, had lunch and drank tea. This will change in September. Then I am invited by a friend from Switzerland to spend the night there. He realized how comfortable I feel there. So ... the photos will take a while.
