This building is great for practising Nordic traditions. I've had clients hang out there before, especially by the nose of the statue, just like Odin did.

The statue actually seems bit smaller when you get up close. The view from the pedestal is great, from where one can see Manhattan, Brooklyn and Staten Island.
Short ferry rides gets you to Ellis Island and Liberty island respectively, and both places are well equipped with gift shops, cafes and free wifi.
We spent more time going thru the history tours at Ellis Island - interesting to hear how immigration started and evolution over the years.
Approach to the ferry area at Liberty Park is bit confusing, there need to be better signage to guide tourists. The park itself is huge, with an attractive play area for young ones.There's also ample parking for those who are keen to drive down.

Amazed by the history of how everything began very nice experience.

American Symbol.. I am awaiting from childhood to visit this.. and Finally achieve on September 2018.
You can visit from New York or New Jersey. Liberty state park I found good option. The cruise first stop at Musium and then go to liberty island.

Crown ticket is always in high demand. You should plan the visit according to the tickets.

This was my first time at the statue with the new museum built it was very nice,not as crowded as it use to be

Amazing even in bomb cyclone!! We rang up the company in the morning of the start of bomb cylcone where snow was coming down thick and fast, expecting to not be running and to reschedule. To our surprise it was running and thought it was a great opportunity to see the Statue in the snow! We got to battery park and took the cruise over (security before was very very good, airport style). Unfortunately couldn't get the city views from the sea due to the storm but still took some great photos. Got to the island and walked through to the Statue. We had pedestal access so immediately went up. This was great and lots and LOTS of steps, so good cardio too! Came back down and go to the front of the statue and got some great pictures in the blizzard before retreating to the shop to get out the cold. Really is magnificent and the Cruise service is great and really easy. The return trips are every 30 minutes so never too long to wait.

Is a great place to go but sadly is very expensive, they don't make it easy for people who has low income and wants to explore more about the history involve
I'll suggest who doesn't have that much money to spend to bring with you some food or snacks specially if you traveling with children's
Just to give you an idea is small bottle of orange juice Tropicana will cost you $ 2.49

Talking about that fruit smoothie all-natural it is not all that is the machine who does it

To go to the top you have to make a reservation ahead of time ( understood too many people wants to climb to the top ) and the prices " well the prices" it's all about the money

Such an iconic landmark that just cannot be missed. Walking around outside the statute is a great experience but if you can, book to go inside. It will give you a whole new appreciation for this iconic place. The ferry to the island can be a little difficult with the huge lines but there are plenty of ferries and they leave very regularly

Simply a must do while in New York. Reasonable value as well as the ferry ticket takes in Ellis Island as well.

Great place to visit it's a must. The only thing didn't like is that while you are waiting there is no place cover to protect against the sun. Bring an umbrella.

Buy the Pedestal ticket and enjoy the scenic views. Be sure to check out the short film and also visit the museum.

Had a tour of the place and was amazed out how tall the statue really is and all the history there to learn about! Even enjoyed the fairy ride there

Amazing monuments, people go grazy about this statue, but there is nothing like Sardar Vallabh Bhai patel Statue..

How could you go wrong with going to a historical place. I promise you wont regret it. In a sense its like going back in time with the Museum its beautiful take your family and have fun.

Definitely a must visit when in NYC. If you can cross the Hudson river and board the ferry from liberty park in Jersey city, you would save a lot of waiting time in the line. Also liberty state park has ample parking spots.

I have to say with going on a toured visit there wasn't a lot of available staff. A lot we had to figure out on our own. But the cafe there was Amazing.

Cool experience to have with family and friends, I do recommend taking your own food and beverages, because the food there isn't great and ridiculously expensive, not worth it for me other than that cool place to go

Very historic and beautiful sights. You could feel the emotions of living in this country.

Beware of the outside ticket sellers when you first walk up to the area to board the ferry. They are not connected to the park service. They tried to steer me towards somebody to buy tickets on their ferry which will take you to the island but you have to spend three hours there. I just ignored the guy in walked a bit further and saw the ticket window ran by the National Park Service. $18.50 includes a stop on Liberty Island and Ellis Island. The lines weren't too bad but it was cloudy and cool so that could be what kept people away. Didn't have tickets to get to the pedestal or crown but well worth the trip. Actually spent more time on Ellis Island.

So cool! It wasn t as expensive as I thought and the ferry ride was so fun. This is a beautiful place to visit in New York and it s in a very nice and convenient area of the city.

We took the 10am ferry across to Ellis Island, so were probably at the statue by 12 (after a wander around Ellis Island that is!)

No real queue's to deal with (Friday morning), and a perfect winters day to see the sights.

An amazing experience of nyc skyline and the lady liberty. It s a must to visit when you are in NYC. This is a perfect blend of sea,sky and skyline.

We didn't go up on this trip, but we took full advantage of the beautiful park and views.

It was cool. I liked it a lot. The new museum on the island is very good. I'd highly recommend it. Trump should go there, he might learn something!

I've been to New York several times and I never had the chance to visit Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty until now. Definitely reccomend! Nothing like seeing such a profound national monument up close and personal.

So much history here... It s an amazing spot to see from the Hudson River at night.

Photos simply do not do the Statue of Liberty justice. You must take a chance and visit this landmark. There's also a museum and self guided tour, so there is no shortage of things to see and do.

Next time I go to New York, I hope I can secure tickets to go inside the statue.

Another bucket list item ticked. Although some aspects of the boarding and organisation were a bit chaotic, this was one of the few NYC attractions that did not disappoint. Here are some quick tips:
- Research the different visit/ticket options. (We found some of the Statue
Cruises website information confusing and misleading.)
- You need to actually land on Liberty Island to fully appreciate the Lady s size
and symbolism. However, if you are pressed for time or just want some closer
photos, you can just stay on board the Statue Cruises boat, but a better option
is the Staten Island Ferry or a water taxi.
- Book tickets in advance through a reputable supplier. Pedestal or Crown access
is limited (tickets are available on line 5 months ahead and sell out fast).
- Select the Print at home option or you will need to collect your tickets on the
day at Castle Clinton (you will not be allowed to board on the basis of a booking
confirmation).
- Boarding can take 30-90 minutes. Boarding queues are shorter and the island is
less crowded if you go earlier in the day. Queues are also shorter if you leave
fom New Jersey rather than Battery Park.
- Leaving Battery Park, the best views will be on the right-hand side of the ferry.
Head for the left-hand side on the other journeys.
- Allow enough time, especially if visiting later in the day. At least 2.5 hours for
photos and whistle-stop tour of the new museum. 3-4 hours if visiting the
Pedestal/Crown.
- If you are into American history, combine with a visit to Ellis Island which is
included in the Statues Cruises ticket (see separate review) in which case you
need to add 1-3 hours.

In more detail .

We had Reserve tickets on the first (9 am) ferry with Statue Cruises. We had decided against Pedestal/Crown Tickets because of the climb (195 steps or elevator with long queues for the Pedestal and 377 more steps via narrow spiral stair case for the Crown) plus you have to store belongings and go through a second security check.
At Battery Park, the queues to board started an hour before the first ferry. There were two queues (the one for Reserved tickets is on the left and the Flexi tickets (purchased on the day) is on the right. After passing through airport style screening, you board the next available ferry. The hype about priority boarding for advance tickets is rubbish. In Battery Park both queues were opened at the same time, however because the flexi ticket queue was much longer so later in the day you can t be sure of boarding the first ferry. Several people were ejected from the queue as they only had a booking confirmation (if book in advance, make sure you select the Print at home option or you will need to collect your tickets on the day from the Pre-booked tickets counter at Castle Clinton). Boarding at Liberty and Ellis Islands was pretty much a free for all, with lots of pushing and shoving. Ferries run every 20-35 minutes and vary in size - 400 to 800 passengers on two or three decks, with both indoor and outdoor seating, toilets and limited snacks.i hope this review will usefull for many peoples expecially touristers so do like thank you

Actually I visited this place when I was young and still remember that. It is so beautiful and the breeze was cool its actually a good place to visit though I might visit it again in future

The state itself was stunning and breathtaking. The virtual tour is awesome and very interesting. I was disappointed to find out that we couldn't buy tickets to go up the statue. We found out that separate tickets had to be bought at least two weeks in advance. So if planning to come, make sure you get the tickets.

Keep in mind that you must arrive before 2:00 p.m. if you want to visit the statue and the museum.
It is good to know that before boarding the ferry you will feel like when you enter an airport, you will be checked by guards. The waiting line to board the ferry is approximately 1 hour (try to get there very early in the morning) the ferry ride is 15 minutes. Book with plenty of time in advance, so you can climb (the 354 narrow steps) to the crown, the view is beautiful,
its history is incredible. Very good experience all the way.

A must if you are visiting New York, such an iconic site to see. Arrive with plenty of time as it can get very busy and getting on and off the boats can be slow, but you will be rewarded. Not only with a close up look of the lady herself but also with stunning views of Manhattan. Note : If you want to get into the crown you must pre book

If you're going to New York you MUST check out the statue of liberty. No way you can go there and not go through that experience, its free!

Remember that you can only get here using the national park services with the statue cruises service. It should be 19.25 USD and the tickets can and only should be bought at the castle Clinton national monument. Don't buy with the people outside the south ferry Subway station, they can't take you to the island.

As a personal recommendation do the audio tour (you can plug your earphones to avoid having to carry the phone on your ear). Make sure you take a nice coat specially during Fall-Winter time! It gets really windy, and also bring some sun glasses.

Also enjoy the view of lower Manhattan scrysrapers while the ferry takes you to the island!

If anyone has patience in their life must visit the New City's statue of liberty l mean it's teaches you how to be patience in your life. Just wear warm clothes in winter and cotton clothes in summer so you don't get a problem while waiting in the line

The view from the statue of liberty is very insane and the statue shows of our alliance with france. The crowns view of the island and the harbor is even better. And I've flew around the statue and the view is phenominal.

Did not get to stop. If not at ferry early in day, before 2pmChoice of one attraction.Was beautiful going by. Will be back

Awesome to finally see this in person. Kinda surreal. Had the pedestal tickets if you have a hard time walking to stairs don't get them and especially the crown.

It was a very well maintained historic site. Of course the management on site too did their part in maintaining the place and ensuring that the tourists get a good time.

For some people it is a once in a lifetime chance to see Lady liberty and I would totally recommend to see it.

Must go place, you can spend an afternoon. Ferry service is available to take you from both sides. NY & NJ. When you take ferry from one side it will drop you on the other side. On the NJ side you can board ferry from Liberty state park, on the other hand you can board ferry from battery park on NY side. This place has lots of food options too. And this is strollers and wheelchair accessible.

Perfect place for a day trip to statue of liberty and Ellis island.

Worth waiting in the queue for getting into the ferry . 10-15 mins ride from New York will take us to Statue of Liberty . Nice city View from the island . Tour guide audio device is available for different languages. A food court is also available for those hungry souls !

Stunning and a must see on a visit to the big apple. They have a self guided tour through this home phone device. You punch the code in when you arrive at an exhibit that you want to hear more about and you listen on the phone. It is available in many languages.

I recommend going during golden hour for the best pictures.

All the security and staff were professional and polite.

Be sure the pack light as they only have small lockers for you to store your belongings.

A monument every American must visit. The island is so clean and the vibes are just so peaceful. You can feel the real meaning of liberty in its air. We didn t get a chance to go to the top of the crown due to waiting list but definitely we ll visit it again. Highly recommend.

3 hours queue without any notice unbelievable!! After 1 hour OF QUEUE we realize we still doesn t move much SO we are stuck because 2 more hours of WAITING.. how hard is it to put a notice 2 hours of waiting starting from this point

A remarkable monument and you can feel the history of what statue of Liberty would have been for millions of people after you have been to Ellis island too.

We went to the liberty park in summer from NJ side.
If you want to view the city from crown, book it in advance I would say atleast 5 months ahead., and it's worth watching.

For pedestal tickets, I'd say it takes atleast 3 months in advance to get tickets especially in summer.

The park is maintained well, and there is no time limit. The only time limit is the ferry timings that takes you to and fro from the NJ or NY side.
Parking is available.

I was a bit disappointed being that it's a National Park and everything from getting from the parking to the actual monument was not very defined or put together. They need to put some money into this park to make it the memorable park and experience it should be.

Five stars .. if you go to new York this is a must . Note, pre book the crown tickets as they sell quickly .. you have to queue airport style to get on the ferry so be prepared

What i liked was how well everything is managed and organised and how you can spend some amazing Time there reflecting on the History, the great Views and unparalled Atmosphere.

I am officially proud to say I am a real New Yorker. Meeting many people from different parts of the world I was always ashamed to tel others I had never been to the Statue of Liberty. But I finally did so. If you buy your ticket online you do not have to wait on the long line to purchase the ticket. We went right before 12pm. The sun was not out and beaming yet. So it was perfect for a rooftop boat ride ! Unfortunately we skipped Ellis island but you have the option to stop there while on the boat ride. The Liberty museum is included in your ticket purchase definitely check it out and sit through the short film that talks about the history behind lady liberty. It was an amazing experience. Staff working the route is quick and friendly !!

Must See Attraction in NYC.
Get early and purchase crown access tickets. They are worth buying.
If you dont want to spend money for the cruise there is a ferry runs between NYC and NJ for free. You can hop on it for free and see Lady Liberty. you can see the view from free ferry in my photos attached.

One of the most famous monuments. The arrangements to go to visit the place is very nice and systematic.As always the crowd is huge. Evenings would be the best to visit since the view would be beautiful.

Beautiful statue placed in Hudson River gives wooow feel at first glance itself.
