Horrifying experience at a Halloween party the W h...

Horrifying experience at a Halloween party the W hosted..... We spent $65 each to be able to go to the Halloween Party. It took us a good 45 minutes to get through the line to redeem our tickets and buy drink tickets (each spent about $100 on drink tickets... and didn't even get to use them all because of what ended up happening). We got on the elevator on the second floor in order to get up to Ghost Bar. The security associate did not seem to pay attention to the amount of people who were getting on the elevator. It was so crammed that my friends and I were shoved against each other and against the wall (we were the second group to get on). One of my friends even mentioned to the security guy "hey don't you think we have too many people on here?" No response from security. Sure enough, 2 floors up, the elevator came to a stop and was stuck. Not a word from the security guy as to what he would do to help get us all out. He remained silent. The people who were closest to the buttons on the wall began pushing buttons and trying to find a call button. Again, no words from the security guard as to what he would do. No crowd control. Nothing. There were drunk guys on the elevator who were loud and obnoxious making jokes about being stuck. There was a girl in the back hyper ventilating and almost panicking. I was shoved against the side of the elevator and watched everything happen. Three different people tried calling 911 (myself included). The signal was out so the 911 dispatchers could not hear us. The security guy was trying to get through to the control panel. He could not get through to anyone. We ended up being stuck in there for at least 45 minutes, sweating, and feeling as though there was no oxygen getting in. There were a number of people beginning to panic. No one could get through to the hotel staff. It was awful... Finally about 45 minutes later (but felt like hours) the fire department came and saved the day and let us out. When I tried emailing HR to let them know what happened, no response. Not even an apology... Disappointing.
