Maintenance needs improvement. I have come here twice and both times I have had issues with the cleanliness of the rooms. Very accommodating people at the front desk and the restaurants but the rooms and hotel needs better upkeep.

While the overall stay was great, my family and I went out one Saturday and I left my airpods charging in the room. When I came back they were gone, I told the hotel personnel about what happened and they believed that the one person that went into our room(house keeper) didn't take it even though it was obvious. On that note they did nothing to remedy the situation and I'm out on new $160 airpods. The one star I give it is COMPLETELY justified!!!

Just left the hotel for a 5 night stay. The carpet in the room are not just looking filthy but are worn out too. The baseboard and trims needs repainting. It was dusty and overall filthy looking room. The restaurant is way too expensive! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE!!!

So I book a room here mid week over the phone through the Westin reservations department with a super outgoing friendly guy (that is apparently too daft to spell as he butchered my name). He takes my credit card info, asks me to spell my name 3 times and tells me that I am all set and if I need to cancel to do so by a certain date. I told him, no problem, visiting friends that are flying in from England and would not miss it for the world. I arrive Saturday to be told by the front desk that I have no reservation, I stand at the front desk for 45 minutes before finally the guy tells me that I need to book another room...so I do that being reassured that my card will not be run for missing the ghost reservation I've made. I upgrade to a 2 bedroom master suite that has a great view but paid well over 300 for my one night stay as I also valeted for 50 bucks!!! I thought the guy said 15...50 for one night is highway robbery!!! The hotel itself is nice but not really located to much of anything. 1 small pool, and 2 decent restaurants, decent amenities, pretty nice place....too bad I had such a terrible experience with the staff. I notice during on Friday the following week that I have been charged twice, once for 201 and change, and another for 350...this pretty much sets me into a rage. I call to complain and am transferred to a voicemail 3 times. I call back and demand to speak to a manager, I am put on hold for 15 minutes with a very nice young lady doing her best to keep me from popping a gasket...I feel bad for her. Finally Vick the manager gets on the line, probably the best part of my staff experience and the only person there apparently without their head in their bum. He looks up and finds that yes my card was rung twice, that the idiot in reservations who is too daft to spell has butchered my name and thus the terrible experience. Vick tells me that my money will be reimbursed, it better be! I will never stay here again, I would advise others who do have to book a room here to write down the confirmation number, get the name of the person setting the reservation and write that down to, and anything other applicable info so that you do not have to deal with what I just went through. I gave it 3 stars only because the facility itself is very nice, but the staff is terrible and there is no excuse for that...except Vick who was extremely apologetic and apparently the only person there with an IQ over 80. You guys better get you stuff together or you will not stay in business long.

If your in the mood for RnR, this is the place to visit. There's not much around so stuck up on groceries (I didn't enjoy the food offerings) grab a good book and prepare for a peaceful stay. I just wish there where more boat shuttles to the beach. Also, the young gentleman who helps with luggage is super friendly, his warm smile helps get you in vaca mood.

The room we got was not clean. There was crumbs all over the couch and a sock from the previous guest. Our shower has mold/mildew all over the tile and even around the window. The door the the next room on the patio which was on our balcony patio had something all over it, looked like vomit to be honest. The hotel room could have been way more enjoyable had it actually been cleaned properly. We ordered breakfast on our first morning and when we put the tray outside our door not even 30 minutes later no one ever picked it up. The cleaning person came through our hallway and passed it without picking the tray up. The tray literally sat in front of our door until the next day. The restaurant food was way overpriced and not worth what we paid. I don't mind spending that kind of money if the food is good, but it simply wasn't. I could go into details but instead I'll just say we went out of the area to eat dinner on our second day, had zero desire to eat that food again.

Nice Resort w shoppes and restaurants all within walking distance. Right on water w Marina. Little disappointed, they nab you for $30 Resort Fee at checkin. I booked through Snap Travel, which had best price, but when you factor in resort fee, which should have been added in booking, it was just an okay price. You have to do a weird thing w room key to turn on and adjust AC. Also, for a resort which offers tub/shower I called down to desk for bubble bath/salts, they said don't provide. When you step out of room, your in open air hallway outside. Beds were comfy and offered premium movie channels in room (hopefully, at no xtra charge - at least TV didn't prompt as to xtra fee) will see at checkout. May possibly return to this place if price is good and in the area.

Overall, an excellent property and quite unique to the Westin portfolio. It s certainly the most high-end hotel in Cape Coral by a considerable margin, and its waterfront location and onsite marina make it a draw. There are several restaurants in the marina development. The restaurants in the hotel itself are pretty sub-par in terms of both quality and value. Because this property was originally built to be a timeshare development prior to being purchased and rebranded by Westin, the rooms are MUCH larger than a standard hotel, and there are even 3 bedroom units that are absolutely incredible and perfect for large families.

Property well maintained, location, view and food was good, shops and marina great. However, the real turn off was the cleanliness of the room was below average. Room needed dusted, mirrors dirty, tile floors sticky and carpet in bedroom was very worn and stained.

Room was amazing. View was amazing. Staff was friendly. Room service was quick. Only issue was getting someone to answer the phone, and at check out we waited over 30 minutes for luggage service that never came. Tried calling the front desk and couldn't get anyone to answer. Decided to carry our luggage, went downstairs only to find out the lady I spoke with on the phone did not alert bell desk we needed assistance. Would recommend. Would stay again.

Beautiful place, it was our second visit. Cleaning is extremely, they have all the precautionary standards by the Covid. For me, the best thing is that it has a patana that leaves at 10 am every day and it takes you More

We just finished a 6 day stay at the Westin in Cape Coral and had to share how wonderful it was. To start, the location in a marina surrounded by a preserve is picture book perfect. The people everywhere were truly positive and uplifting. Whether they were the guests, the staff, the boaters, or the fish, we had no issues and more importantly, they were happy and smiling. The staff, both in the resort and in the surrounding restaurants were attentive and pleasing making any request their pleasure to address. The room was clean and well attended and the concierge knowledgeable and helpful. Front desk, bellman, room service, and pool side attendants were all going above and beyond any requested need.
We had the choice to stay on the Fort Lauderdale or Cape Coral. We are sooooo happy we chose Cape Coral and will definitely return. For clarification, we were a family of four but saw others as couples, multi-generation families, and families with children from 3 months to 20 somethings. If you are family interested in vaca that is restful, no work, clean, and safe, chose the Westin Cape Coral.

Forgot my new (expensive) sweater by the pool when I went back later it was gone. The pool bartender said she had found it, but now it was gone. She appeared to put it in the bar or something. Why don't they have a procedure for lost personal items? The front desk would find it and contact me. Have nothing heard, they haven't even bothered to answer my email. Bad style. We were otherwise satisfied until then.

The room is fantastic and the beds are comfortable. The 1 room suite has a great kitchen for cooking or reheating food from downstairs. The room service is polite and the food fresh. Great stay.

Lovely hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were very nice with great views. Restaurant food wasn't worth the money and everytime i went and ordered the same thing the price was never the same.

The staff was amazing...beyond accommodating! The room was extremely roomy and beautiful. The Westin had bikes to use and bike paths so no worries of getting hit. The only downfall is no beach, however the free water taxi will take you to Ft Myers Beach for free.

I normally do not write reviews but i felt i needed too for this hotel. Before booking this hotel, I read the reviews and I must say, we were disappointed. When we arrived, I will say, we had a great view of the marina. Our unit had a full kitchen however I had to was all the dishes, glasses, silverware, and pans. They had grease and food on them. The pots had dried spaghetti on the bottom.

We didn't see housekeeping when we were told they would be by the next day. I will say for one day, I opted in for no service.

The coffee equipment was broke and when i called the desk no one answered so my husband and I went down to see if we can get a new coffee machine. The next day i needed to use the blender and there was a big crack and not useable. Again, I called and no one answered so i tried again and no answer. My husband and i again went down stairs with the plastic unit to show them the crack. In both cases, we were given a new coffee unit and a new blender.

For the price we paid, i was very disappointed in this hotel.

Beautiful resort. The rooms were nice, pretty typical amenities in the room, hair dryer, mini fridge, coffee maker. The bathroom has a rain shower, which was very nice. The pool is very nice, large, with lots of chairs and plenty of towels. Views are amazing from the pool and the room. Our room had a nice sized screened-in balcony with chairs and a table.

The Westin Cape Coral Resort has become a favorite destination for me and my family. Not only is this location and resort exquisite, but the staff consistently executes for their members and make you feel like royalty. I have stayed here on several occasions and highly recommend anyone considering it.

I have stayed in several different rooms and suites and have been impressed by all of them. They all had outstanding views of either the marina or river, and came with some of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. I was particularly impressed with the suites; which felt more like a home than a hotel suite. The suites I stayed in had full kitchens, living/dining areas, residential washer and dryer, and expansive screened in balconies. The bedroom in the suites have the best sunrise views I have ever experienced and have their own entrance to the large balcony. The Mariner Suite was bigger than many homes and has the best panoramic views of the waterways.

The staff is what sets this resort apart from the rest. After my first visit, the staff here started greeting me by name. I felt like everyone knew me, my wife, and my pup from the moment we entered. The staff at the front desk are always available if you ever need anything; my pup makes me stop every time we pass so they can give him a treat. The concierge team will be able to provide you with local information and will make your trip unforgettable. Everyone on this team deserves credit for contributing towards the success of this resort; it is because of their hard work that we look forward to returning as often as possible.

Great hotel. The people in the hotel were very friendly and attentive. The facility is well equipped for a business conference. The rooms were a good size, comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. Shout outs to Nicole, Cat and Kirsten who were fabulous and possessed a great demeanour while serving in the restaurant and outside patio.

We had quite an excellent experience! The pool was a bit smaller than expected, but everything else exceeded expectations. Kids can do biking, tennis etc and spend endless time in the pool. The restaurants were fantastic! There are other restaurants nearby that are not part of the hotel itself. The water taxi was full (Reservations are recommended if you're planning to go on it). Overall, a great place to spend with your family. I met a lot of families from Wisconsin and Michigan coming here to escape the cold!

I stayed at The Westin Cape Coral Resort in a basic room. The family staying in the next room had a big argument. I called the desk and they made sure my safety was their priority. I did not ask for a different room but they moved me right away to a suite and gave me other accommodation to make sure we were safe and completely satisfied. I'm so grateful for the way Taylor Ross and staff took care of us during our stay. The took care of my family without having to be asked. They just did it. Thank you for making my stay a wonderful experience.

I was very pleasantly surprised at this amazing, relaxing, luxurious resort! Given the area its in, I expected something a little more run-down but that was definitely not the case here! Upon arriving, we noticed there were free bike rentals for the entire family, which I thought was such an awesome touch! The resort is set back from the Cape Coral community and it's almost as if it's on its own little island. There are some condominiums or other housing as you enter the resort area, but the resort itself is set back from that and the area that is enclosed is very well maintained and pretty. The room we were in was gorgeous, and was a 2-bedroom with water views. It was so relaxing! I also LOVED the screened in porches on the balconies, and I spent a lot of time out there. The decor was great; neutral but top-level finishes. My only complaint was I would've loved a deep soaking tub instead of just a standard one, but it was okay. The room service was delightful and I loved having a full kitchen. I would definitely come back here in a heartbeat. It was also much less expensive than some other places in Florida in other areas of the state. They offer a kids program for 4-12 years old, plus kids activities you can take the little ones to, like sand dollar painting, hula hoop contest, etc. We didn't have our kids with us, but this is a spot I would certainly take them to. The workout room was great, too, and I used it daily. I also enjoyed the pool. We went in mid-September and there was hardly anyone there! A super place and highly recommended. They also have a daily ferry boat ride to Fort Myers beach.

Just stayed at the Westin in Cape Coral and our stay was amazing. The location was beautiful right on the marina. Our room was comfortable with a nice view of a lagoon overlooking a preserve.

Curb appeal of property is awesome. But rooms disappoint. Not a single piece of art in my room 1406. Feels barren. Then had to call maintenance that TV was not working (repair guy was prompt and pleasant and fixed it). Then had lots of trouble getting into Wi-Fi (they just for new system and it sucks). Add to that the large disappointment that the nice lap swimming pool won t open until 8am. A very nice asset but that is pathetic.

Not on the beach but on a river with a marina. Very nice resort like most Westins. Water taxi to Fort Myers Beach is included in resort fee. Sanibel Island is 45 minutes away. We had a suite with full kitchen and a washer dryer unit. Also a screened in balcony. Several pools and restaurants on site

I don't plan to stay at this resort again. It may be labeled a Westin, but it doesn't act like a Westin. I've never wrote a bad review for a Starwood property, but I feel this one deserves one.

I work to remain a Gold Member so that I can access a few rewards and upgrades on the few family vacations we take. I called and asked for an early check-in and was denied. I booked with points, so was not able to book a suite of any kind and figured I would talk through that at check-in. I had to ask about an upgrade and was denied and told to ask again in the morning. I did that each of our four days and was denied each time. We spent our four nights there in the most basic room in the hotel.

The first three nights of our trip we stayed at a resort that treated us excellent (with no affiliation to them). Then we moved to the brand that we've been very loyal to for many years and were treated like a nuisance. I was really hoping to make this a yearly stay in the Fort Myers area for Spring Training, but I would prefer to use my points for flights and stay at a hotel that rewards us or at least attempts to improve our stay.

Other Notes:

The pool is not friendly for little kids. Minimum depth is 3 feet. There is another pool, but you have to walk a block or two and invade a condo set-up. Very weird.

The restaurant is very upscale, so we didn't want to bring our kids in. Started in the bar area, but it was way too loud for our kids and went outside. The restaurant in general has a very limited and non kid-friendly menu so we ordered some basic burger, grilled cheese kind of meal and paid $100 for a family of four.

There is no preferred guest floor.

I had daily conversations with the staff and consistently was treated like an unwanted guest. None of the staff ever tried to make our stay better. Maybe my expectations are off, but that is what I've come to expect at Starwood properties and this one not only made our Gold Member status irrelevant, they paled inn comparison to the resort that we stayed on in Fort Myers beach the previous three days.

I had really high hopes for this and was massively disappointed.

House keeping walks in without any notice. I wasn't dressed at all and they didn't even knock. Also their room service menu is a joke. Even if it says they have it they'll say they don't. Hot water pretty much non existant

Overall a very nice place. Beautiful view from the 16th floor. Tranquil setting on the mangrove lined waterways of SW Florida. Very tropical. Nice gathering place out back with bar and fire pit. A marina backs up to the hotel giving it a very nautical feel with some very nice boats and easy access to the ICW. Good sized meeting rooms and good food. The room was a little small but adequate and clean. However, there are some areas of needed improvement. When rooms are over 200.00 per night there is a level of expectation that should be met. The beds in our room needed to be upgraded. Room 1611. The beds should not sag at this price. The room got warm at night and the thermostat was fixed at a certain temperature that we could not control. I need to be able to control the temperature when I am paying a high price for the room. The lamp on the night stand did not work nor did the clock on the night stand. The dead bolt lock on the door did not work although we did not feel unsafe. Finally there was no soap in the room. We have stayed here before and would have rated the previous stay 4+ stars but we did have a much nicer 1 bedroom suite at that time. So I guess it's a good place if you get the right room.

The room and amenities were really great. The hallway had the same old sock and beer can litter for at least 12 hours and I found a receipt from april among my bed pillows. The curly haired valet attendant needs his own tv channel he was so awesome. Overall, the resort itself was fabulous but housekeeping needs to step up their game.
