Starwood Hotels & Resorts - The Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village Review

Checked out the resort for a wedding.It was ok but OMG the cost is crazy.

Place is top notch, very clean and just fun to walk around

Okay. I'll give this place credit for the nice staff, beautiful views, and extravagant living arrangements. However, even a cheap hotel offers some form of a complimentary breakfast. Not so with The Resort!
My beautiful bride and I booked our $300 honeymoon suite and was really looking forward to breakfast...

Beautiful spot. Stayed here 2 nights and then on a boat in marina for 5. Last night back at westin. Would have given 5 stars but last night on restaurant patio, service was really really bad. Like server rolling his eyes at us and waving his hand in the air as he walked away. I never got anything to drink with my meal. We never got a chance to say anything to him. Server seemed to be wondering why we were just staring at him in disbelief when he gave us the bill. I still would have liked a drink lol. We paid. Talked to a very nice manager. She offered to comp our tab but we had already paid and that's fine. My food was great...husbands food was missing dressing so just meh. Will be back though

Wonderful getaway Resort. Clean, quiet and out from the city. Offers free shuttle to Fort Myers Beach, book it is worth it. Also they offer pay tours to differents activities and areas. Free bike rides perfect to families. I would like more games and amenities around the hotel for families. Nice pool and food offers are good. They have 3 restaurants around. I have a good weekend in this resort.

I needed to change rooms to one with a shower and not a tub. It is the busy season and the hotel is booked solid.. but they made it happen for me.. the reason I go Platinum year after year with SPG.. consistently the best in the biz! Thanks!

Very good location and balcony views. Great to have restaurants in parking lot. Would stay again but not during holiday where rates triple. Nice marina connected and areas to walk that seem very safe.

My family and I had a wonderful time at the Westin. The suites are amazing with unforgettable views. I would highly recommend staying here.

Great location on the marina. Lots of restaurants close by. The rooms are huge and have a kitchen and lounge. Its clean and the staff are good. There are weddings here too so be prepared for fancy dressed crowds that aren't impressed by your shorts and swim top....

Great view from the screened-in patio. Maintenance was wonderful. Dog potty area is very dark and completely unlit. I keep a flashlight on my dog's leash just in case but many others do not. The large waste bin for dog waste bags was neglected, overflowing onto the ground and had not been emptied at all during my entire stay. Bellhop was very rude to myself and an entire line of patrons (6 vehicles all full of couples and families and some with pets) who were checking-in and unloading luggage from our vehicles. This continued by this man to myself and others for my entire stay. For that reason I do not plan to return, as I felt unwelcomed.

Clean, free boat shuttle, bike rental, nice room and service.

Stayed in a one bedroom suite. The deadbolt did not work, carpet in the bedroom needs to be replaced and water pressure in the shower was non existent. I complained they fixed the deadbolt and attempted to fix the shower, left all the towels on the floor and the water pressure still was no better, in fact water did not come out all of the no nozzles. I will never stay there again

The view and location is awesome, the room is unbelievable, and everything has been A+!!!

Beautiful place to walk around, eat, shop and relax!

Pictures make it look fancy. I've had better stays at other hotels.
We are a party of two. Closet has only 4 hangers. Pillows so soft that the air escapes as soon as you lay your head on them. Bed/mattress is hard. No microwave in our room. Coffee pot's plate rusted as can be.
There are only a few shops by the marina and three restaurants total; good food though.
Nothing to do with in walking distance. Maybe thats the point of a resort to be away from everything. However, it be nice to be able to walk to places and not have to call an uber every time.

I woke at 3:00 a.m. to catch a flight to Fort Myers and worked hard with cousins until 7:00 p.m. assisting an elderly relative clear out her house. By the time we reached the Westin, we were hot and exhausted. I can t put into words how much we appreciated walking into a cool, immaculate and spacious three-bedroom, three bath suite. After eating a delicious meal at Marker 92 in the building, we jumped into the pool outside the restaurant and later sat in a much-needed whirlpool tub. The beds were so comfortable, I fell asleep easily. Even though there was a band playing poolside, we did not hear a sound in our rooms. Perhaps the hurricane doors keep out sound? Every staff member I dealt with went out of their way to assist us. My cousins were so impressed, they decided to have the next family reunion here.

If you have knee problems stay somewhere else. They hotel makes you walk so far to get anywhere or even to your car. Nice place but a ton of walking for older people

This hotel is gorgeous inside and out. You can't go wrong by staying here!

Excellent! Complete apartments with beautiful view to the marina

Second review;. I asked for a drink and was told that it was last call. It was 11:45 pm and I watched 2 others receive drinks at 11:55. Again, another reason why this property is one of the worst in the Westin, Marriott family.

Great atmosphere in far SW Cape on the water. Excellent scenery and location.

Amazing property right on the water! I stayed on the 17th floor and the views of the surrounding areas are impressive. There are lots of nearby docks that you can walk around and admire the water and boats. A few of the nearby restaurants and bars are convenient to grab dinner and drinks. Exceptional customer service as usual.

Beautiful stay at a beautiful property over the Labor Day holiday. The resort is located on a beautiful marina with shops and restaurants. Looks like a great place to throw a nice wedding or event. The rooms are not as dated as I thought they would be. The balcony was nice with a great view of the mangroves. Room 1411 to be exact if you need two queens. I didn t like the screen in balcony but the rest of my family loved it.

Water taxi to Ft Meyers was a plus along with the amenities that came with the $30 resort fee. Well worth it! The two complimentary glasses of wine, use of the recreation center and it s two pools, along with tennis, bocce ball etc were all included in that resort fee. The main hotel has a pool with lots of fresh towels and 4-5 cabanas.

Overall this is a lovely hotel despite the pandemic. Lots of hand sanitizer stations available too and mask wearing is mandatory.

Very nice property. Great staff - very accomodating and cheery. We had a great kitchenette that was really convienant. Rooms clean, spacious and quiet. A bit out of the way but I wouldn`t hesitate to recommend this property at all. Will definately be back.

Rooms are clean and spacious. Great amenities. Fun bar and restaurant environment.

Although ,the hotel grounds and lobby is
impeccable. They arent practicing social distancing or face coverings for guests whether in the lobby or pool areas, elevators, dogs and dog hair is everywhere. The rooms DO NOT MATCH the property. They're outdated and poorly keep in regards to cleanliness. The hotel rooms do not fit the bill. During this time in which sanitizing, disinfecting, cleaning and providing safe accommodations for hotel guests is very important. This property needs to be inspected and should not be regarded as 4 star!

Very beautiful place. The view from the room is perfect and the staff is very nice and helpful. The rooms are spotless and spacious. Cant wait for next year.

The rooms are great and the pool is nice, but it is far enough away from things that you will want to rent a car if you are staying for a few days.

I was sent to Florida with my whole Team for Hurricane Irma, as part of the Disaster Relief Team from Entergy and ABC Professional Tree Service, when we got to Bonita Spring on September 20Th, there were no hotels available, some didn't have power, and the rest had all the locals, no rooms anywhere, after calling so many hotels, one of my crew members found The Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village, we were 22 Crew Members in total and they didn't have so many rooms available, i went to the hotel to have everything ready for when everyone got out of work at 10:00pm, all the rooms where ready, so they wouldn't have to wait for their rooms after a 16 hour shift, when i got to the hotel i was greeted by Mr. Tae Yoo, who i din't know at the time was the Director of Front Office, we had some issues because my boss had to sign some paperwork and send it to the hotel and he didn't have access to a computer to do that at that moment, etc. Mr. Tae Yoo saw my frustration and stayed for 5 hours after his shift was over to take care of me, always with a smile on his face and in the kindest way, and didn't leave until i had all the keys to the rooms in my hands, that is something you don't see now a days, exceptional customer service, a person that goes above and beyond to satisfy a customer, thank you Mr. Tae Yoo, we really appreciated what you did for us, everyone of my crew member remember your kindness, so do I, we thank you and your whole team for your patience and professionalism, keep up the excellent work you do. God bless you.

Unbelievably awesome from the picturesque surroundings to the superb staff, this place is truly A+.

Love it. All is clean and you get excellent service. People are very nice and helpful. Rooms are great. They have a washer and dryer in your room not down the end of the floor. The tv's are big. I'd say maybe 65" size. Balconies look out into the water and the boats and pool. Great place. Come enjoy.

Love, love, love the friendly staff from the front desk to the bar and restaurant staff to the ferry drivers. Magnificent views, beautiful sunsets, resort style pool, waterfront bar, dolphin cruise, and a ferry to fun, sunny Ft. Myers Beach, and so much more at this super clean resort. Can't wait for our upcoming return visit to the Westin Cape Coral in October, 2019!

started out real bad, the people in the next room were loud jerks, i called up the front desk in no time we were moved to a up graded room much better, the rest of the stay was 5 star, boat to fm beach 5 star, sunset cruise 5 star staff 5 star, pool had little kids all over the place and the people again sucked having stuff all over so you could not walk, BUTT there is two more pools nobody is there, so at every turn there is a good solution to stupid people plus the place is so cool, i wish i could live there

Disappointed in our stay overall. Not what I expect with a "resort". The restaurant on site has flavorless food with relatively poor service. The breakfast buffet is not very expansive. It's just a step above continental. Westins are supposed to be to quality. This one is not.
