I've taken two laptops here in the past month and have been thrilled with the service at CTS. Quick and easy drop off, friendly staff, reasonably priced and fast service. I'll never go anywhere else again for computer repairs!

I had a computer no bios information.
I wanted them to help me to fix the problem,
they just told me the memory slot is bad. However, there are two memory slots, before I came to them, I knew that one of them may does not work, one of them works. Why one memory slot is bad affect the bios information? They will not tell you any more information.
They provided the information you already know, the technician does not interact with customer, the owner of the shop just want to charge your money without any constructive suggestions.

Dan and Lana are great to work with. They know computers and more importantly know how to solve computer problems at CTS. They get the job done when promised and charge fair rates for quality service. I've been doing business with them for 18 years and have always been treated well.

CTS has renewed my faith in computer repair. My laptop crashed and would not boot. I brought it to Micro Center where I had purchased it and learned that the warranty had expired 1 week previous. I made some noise and they reloaded the original software but I lost everything. They said computer was old (3 years) and that is why it is slow and will not work well. I brought it to CTS and within 2 days I got back a computer that was better than when I had bought it. They put in a new solid state hard drive and the thing is blazing fast and dependable. I had another issue on a work computer, trying to move only subfolders from outlook to a new computer. Unlike others who posted here I was able to talk to the tech because it was tricky on what needed to be done. They did all the work same day on a Saturday so that I had it for Work on Monday. Laptop was $190.00 for hard drive, spyware cleanup and all labor. The outlook work, which would have taken me all day was $90.00, I mean talk about reasonable!

My old desktop was on its way out and I needed a replacement. I didn't want to go to a Best Buy or other big box chain given my overall terrible experiences with them in the past. A local friend recommended CTS and I'm glad I chose them. They assessed my old system (whether it was worth repairing and upgrading versus a new system), and recommended a course of action that has worked out for the best. The staff is friendly, and knowledgeable, and there for you if you have any follow-up questions or needs. As good as everyone says they are.

They always solve my problems quickly and at a reasonable price. They are great.

We first found CTS Computer a few years back when my son's laptop needed servicing. When it came time to replace/upgrade, we purchased the replacement here and were very happy with the pricing, the honesty, the advice they gave us. When there was an issue with the memory, they fixed it without any hassle. When it came time to upgrade to a new gaming computer, this is the first place we came. They suggested a configuration, were able to accommodate some customization that my son wanted (a specific case) and we could not be happier with the result. If anything proves the importance of 'buying local,' this is the place. We highly recommend it.

I depend on my personal laptop to be reliable. When I kept getting error messages as it tried to boot up, I reviewed comments concerning computer repair places in the Newton MA area and called CTS because they had consistently positive reviews. Not being able to leave it, I made a 5pm appointment on a Saturday afternoon. The tech quickly determined the problem was a failed hard drive, installed a new solid state hard drive and then was able to copy the files from the failed drive onto an external hard drive while I waited. When I departed at 7pm I had essentially a new computer which worked better than ever and had all my files on the external drive.
I found the tech to be very knowledgeable, skilled, and honest, and he stuck with the job until it was successfully completed even on a Saturday evening. Because he was so trustworthy and in view of the successful results, I intend to return to CTS for any emergent needs, including new equipment.
BTW they also make house calls.

Came in with a problem with my desktop, and they were able to fix it within 24 hours without any hassle. Customer service was great, the people there are nice, and very helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone having problems with their computer.

Lana and the folks here are the best. Very smart, very responsive. A real pleasure to do business with.

Absolutely wonderful. They are caring, professional, and at least for me, have bent over backwards. We have been loyal to them for almost 20 years.

Dan, Lana, Eric, and the rest of the "crew" are the very best computer sales and service organization I've ever experienced. I have been doing business with them since the first year they opened and have NEVER ONCE been disappointed. CTS is a nice, friendly business! I've had two interactions in the last 6 months. First, a horrible virus crashed a 4 year old laptop and wouldn't allow any activity The repair was reasonably price and it worked perfectly until our dog knocked it off a chair. After the damage was assessed (cracked hard drive, blue screen), it was obviously more cost effective to buy a new one, so I bought a new Lenovo. CTS prepped the machine and got me up and running with no hassle. Their price was competitive with big boxers, and the personal interaction made the purchase a good experience. Buy with confidence!

Best independent computer service and sales provider.

I have been there two times exactly - once my hard drive crashed, the other time I have messed my computer so badly, I needed help. The people there have been helpful, very quick and their price - more than reasonable - highly recommended!
I wish car repairs went like that, alas...

To whomever said the technicians will not interact: they talk to me all the time. Were you rude? This place is terrific..

I am so glad to have discovered CTS Computer in Newton near the Watertown line. They are trustworthy. Their prices are reasonable. Their service is fast. They greet me with a welcoming demeanor, friendship and sympathy. And lucky for me they are nearby, and there is street parking outside their facility.

My MSI gaming laptop kept crashing and my suspicion was the memory needed to be replaced. Now the type of laptop I have you had to take out all of the parts in the laptop to get to the memory. I wasn't confident in doing it myself so I first went to the manufacturer. They said it was something else. I paid money for it and got the laptop back. I still had the same issue.

I went to CTS because of the great reviews I saw here. I walked in told them of my suspicion. They investigated and confirmed the memory was bad (MSI used one of the most generic memory you could think of.) Here is where it got really cool. I was able to get my laptop back a few hours later. I would definitely go back to them if I have any other issues.

Daniel is a Master with any Computer. Everyone there are like family. I have been getting computers fixed their for over ten years and always came away happy and satisfied. Go there First! and save a bundle of money.
