Fun for kids of all ages, our family loves a trip to the science center. So many hands on activities to help learn about a wide range of scientific concepts from weather or space to video games and fossils. We are members and enjoy using the discovery room with our toddler as well!

This is an excellent destination for families with children of all ages. My children find some thing new and exciting to do each and every time we stop in for a visit. The science center doesn't charge admission but it does cost to park in areas.
Love taking my 2yr old daughter. She has so much fun! Love the Dino's and all the different exhibits! We only live 10 minutes away, but there is enough to do for us to go all the time!
Awesome educational, edutainment fun for the whole family. With dedicated areas, neatly separated by age, there s enough intrigue for all age groups in this fun, elaborate maze of machinery and architecture.
Very cool science museum! It had tons to read and explore and even more interactive things, especially for kids. We really enjoyed this museum and, to top it off, it was completely free to get in! Just pay for parking.
I was there for 2 1/2 hours and did not see one person cleaning or sanitizing the interactive exhibits. It was very disappointing to see that this was not a priority of the Science Center. The Da Vinci exhibit was great and I highly recommend it before it closes.
A great educational place for the whole family there IMAX films are the best my favorites were Australia and The blue Angels absolutely have to see them fantastic
Okay, but too crowded. Monitors need to do more by ensuring that play time on games are adhered too by customers. So more children have a chance to experience the environment and that the rich and greedy don't think that the this treasure is only just for their kids.
St. Louis science center is very beautiful and mind blowing structure. There is no entry fee and have free parking on premises .This place is very kid s friendly. It is very good for educational tour for science loving student. It has overhead bridge on top of I-64. Bridge is completely safe and very wide. You can able to see traffic on I-64. It looks like so many cars flying underneath of the bridge. It has lazer gun on side of the bridge. You can able to measure speed of car by pointing lazer gun on to a car. I am not sure whether it is accurate or not but it is quite a fun. They have some binoculars on the side of bridge as well. But, you do not see much. They have so many puzzle games for kids all over the place. Our realtive s kids enjoyed making arch puzzle a lot. There is is replica of dinosaur on the bottom floor. Our relative s son sacred of it. He thought it was real and live. Well,we have very good time at Science Center.
Free excellent family fun. St Louis is the best town to visit because of their free museums and excellent free zoos. I come every summer with my family. I love this place so much. Their new game exhibit is outstanding. We paid for the ocean movie. It was so cool.
Such a FUN experience for our family! So much to do and see and learn about! Every time we thought there wasn't anything else to see then we would find another fun room to explore! Our kids had the best time! Our favorites were the build your own sails and flying objects, the dinosaur exibits, game room! I LOVED the grow area! Thanks for such an amazing day of adventures!
In need of an adventure with our toddler, the St. Louis Science Center hit all the marks! Perfect for hands on little ones (like mine) or the most reserved little learners! Educational fun for the entire family, plus it is free to explore which being on a budget is great for my little family! 4.5 is my true rating, as there was some trash scattered here and there, but I would not go as far to say it was trashy, if you feel me. Overall great visit!
Took my daughter to the Pompeii exhibit was awesome had a blast got to learn a lot of good history I've loved the story of Pompeii and to be able to get to see the exhibit up close just made it a hundred and 10% better
The exhibit itself was nice but the 4d movie they are advertising was a total lie, jokes and ripoff. It's not a movie it's a bad animation. Just just stand in a small room and watch it with some wind blow on you.
I can t thank the two individuals who helped us enough when my son fell sick outside before we entered!!! He was doubled over in pain and ended up puking all over the place and the two staff members that helped us were only concerned about his well being! Such great people and a great facility!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
As with most free attractions, come early to avoid crowds. But there is still plenty to do here and keep the kiddos entertained. The temporary Apollo exhibit was particularly fascinating, with the actual capsule on display!
We are so lucky to have the science center in our town. It is such a wonderful place. Everyone, on staff, is friendly and helpful. Always a fun adventure at the Saint Louis Science Center.
Amazing place. You can even save on parking by the planetarium. It is free but it well worth seeing it from the other side. The staff is super helpful and there is a lot of things for the kids to see. Well worth a visit.
A lot of the "fun stuff" you need to purchase a ticket for. And it's not very big. Don't get duped by the "free entry" on their website. Also you need to pay 10$ for parking.
The Science Center is always great and currently are running an exhibition on games. We were there recently, however, for "Science on Tap" an annual celebration of craft brewers. It is an opportunity to try a great range of beers from what you may consider normal to some that are very odd (e.g., a gooseberry sour). It was a lot of fun and a good event to attend with friends.
For a free science museum. This is pretty great. It is not a Smithsonian but. This is Saint Louis not Washington DC. Anyway. Yeah good science museum great place to bring kids. Dinosaurs. Fun exhibits. This a good place and again. Free. So. There is no reason not to come here.
Very cool exhibits. It's definitely a place for children though. If you didn't mind then touching everything and getting in the way, then definitely go and try out so of the stuff they let you do. There are doing some work on part of the center but still very organized. Parking is easy to find, $10 to park but free admission to the center
I absolutely love how STL maintains their museums. They are fun and free. My cousins and I enjoy the activity area where there is a giant size game controller to play Mario and wall chess among other cool activities.
Absolutely wonderful they had a little bit of everything from dinosaurs to outer space, it was something to keep you busy all day long. Best of all it's free! parking is about $12, but well worth it. You owe it to your kids to take them there.
After an experience at a science center in Madrid, I really wasn't interested but we went and it was so fun! Interactive and visually entertaining. Great place for kids and adults.
Free to get in.... parking costs but if you know your way around you can find free places to park....the only thing I didnt like is that there were high pitched kids screaming everywhere and with the high ceiling those screams echo so loudly... but what can you expect...its a children's science center
We finally got there to see the Pompey exhibit. It was EXCELLENT as are all exhibits at the Science Center. The exhibit was well organized and educational. Highly recommend seeing it .
Great place for children and grandchildren. Tons of interactive displays. Parents can learn a lot as well. Just saw the Pompeii exhibit. Absolutely amazing! I've been to Pompeii. The exhibit displayed everything missing from visiting Pompeii. Pristine artifacts and superb historical narrative. Definitely go if you can!
Tons of things to do! And it's free! The people of St. Louis have an AMAZING gem that can not be found in other communities. Kids of all interests and ages can enjoy this place. Highly recommend!
Great for kids age 4-10. Discovery room is fantastic for the younger crowd but you need a reservation as it's not just open all the time. IMAX is amazing.
Guitar exhibit was cool. Took a brief stroll through the rest. I now want a small skeleton. The place was crawling with children. Free to get in, 10 bucks to park in the lot.
Took the grand kids here and they just loved it. Loads of things to do and see here and the admission is FREE. Parking can be challenging so be prepared for that. A must visit if in STL.
Most disturbing situations ever happen when the guitar exhibit exit leads to a psychedelic funhouse that you could get lost in forever if you can't find your way out. My mom almost fell because of that big metal doorstop. It was nice to see the highest levels of dust on a guitar collection under glass since the Hard Rock Cafe in Memphis where I was held up at gunpoint over twenty seven cents one night.
I come here for work fairly frequently and I usually have a good time. Parking can be difficult even if you are a member and on days that there are field trips visiting it's easier to go home and try another day.
What a great place to take the kids for an educational and fun trip! If you re looking for something to keep them busy all day it s climate controlled, this is a place for you. They also have an Omnimax theater. It might be an IMAX. Either way they have special shows all the time for an extra treat for the kids. There s also a build a Bear workshop inside.
This place was awesome. All you have to pay for is parking which was cheap and the extra exhibits. All of the exhibits are fantastic. My kids loved it. We spent a lot of time exploring and could have spent a lot more. Thank you for an awesome experience.
I like it is free and have plenty of staff to help you navigate around. My 2 year old daughter loved it. Do not like $10 parking but still worth it. I was told if you park on the planetarium side there might be free parking.
Fun for kids of all ages and FREE! A visit to St. Louis must include a visit. The newer Mission to Mars exhibition is great. You can drive a Mars rover, study rocks like scientists, and more. The dinosaurs are always a big hit, and there's even a place for kids to "dig" like real paleontologists. The science show was fun, too. This last visit was the first time we saw the new Grow exhibit. My kids liked it, and the volunteers were knowledgeable and friendly and answered all my inquisitive 7-year-old's questions about bees. Be sure to park on the Forest Park side and walk across the bridge! And once you're across the bridge, build your own arch. Have fun!
This is an amazing museum. To top it off it is free!! Free!! There are adventurous simulators with its unique experience. There are interactive games activities which is a fun for all ages. There are also various interesting exhibits. I would absolutely recommend this museum when visiting St Louis Missouri.
Great place for the kids to have hands on interaction with science. History..etc ..plan on a whole day to hang out!! Put on a great show!! Lots to do.!!
We had a blast. The new gaming exhibition was great. I even let the kiddo beat me at Street Fighter. It was a little crowded with school groups but otherwise a great visit. Definitely check out one of the live science demonstrations!
Although very busy on the day we visited it was an enjoyable day. Only downside was the length of the walk from our parking spot to the entrance. The exhibits were busy but accessible for all. Only lengthy wait was at the Build-a-Bear store.
Always excellent, great for the whole family. Parking costs, but there are some roadside parking areas that don't cost anything. That said, it's worth the price, given this goes towards keeping the place running. Kids almost always seem to love the dinosaurs and footbridge over the highway.
Nice sized science center- lots of people in the summer. My 4 year old enjoyed it but was a bit overwhelmed by the crowds and noise. Recommend a slightly older child, 6-8. Exhibits are generally good though so needed maintenance.
The discovery room is for children ages about 1 to 10. Best for ages about 2 to 7. The grow area outside is most fun in the warm and summer months. The animatronic dinosaur is an iconic staple of the center along with the ball maze powered by kinetic energy via a human sized hamster wheel. The ever changing displays and hands on activities make this free attraction a must visit at least 2ce a year. The planetarium has a wonderful introduction video to astronomy for kindergarten through elementary school age. It integrates factual information into a fun 30 minutes. The flight simulators are great for early teenagers to see what it would be like to practice flying planes. Realistic joysticks make this video game type area very interesting. The bridge going over the interstate is always a hit with kids of all ages. The floor has windows to see vehicles passing underneath, there are also binoculars and speedometers to use out the side windows. I highly recommend people of all ages to visit! PS- parking by the planetarium is free.
Wrangling a 5 year old here can be a bit challenging, wish there were more younger kids exhibits. But we will grow into it. This place is pretty amazing for all ages! Can't wait to take my little tyke to Omnimax! #attention span
