The discovery room is for children ages about 1 to 10. Best for ages about 2 to 7.
The grow area outside is most fun in the warm and summer months. The animatronic dinosaur is an iconic staple of the center along with the ball maze powered by kinetic energy via a human sized hamster wheel.
The ever changing displays and hands on activities make this free attraction a must visit at least 2ce a year. The planetarium has a wonderful introduction video to astronomy for kindergarten through elementary school age. It integrates factual information into a fun 30 minutes.
The flight simulators are great for early teenagers to see what it would be like to practice flying planes. Realistic joysticks make this video game type area very interesting.
The bridge going over the interstate is always a hit with kids of all ages. The floor has windows to see vehicles passing underneath, there are also binoculars and speedometers to use out the side windows.
I highly recommend people of all ages to visit!
PS- parking by the planetarium is free.
