Lovely property with excellent service and great location
Great place to stay in San Fran. Perfect location and convenient to all transportation. Our room was very comfortable and service was attentive.
Location is very good, with lots to do within walking distance - or a short cab ride. The room we had was small, but what we expected.
Beautiful hotel with wonderful staff and concierge.
Was there for great event this past weekend. Great ppl and space. Loved the ginger bread castle.
Nice view. Rowdy crowd on rooftop hinders experience
This is a great, funky hotel a fee blocks from Chinatown. Tons of character and style, make this a great place to stay... Except... The rooms are old and really, REALLY need an upgrade, especially for the price you are paying. The bar is good and the food was above average for hotel food. Once they redo the rooms, this is a 5 star place.
Westin St. Francis has a great central location. Some really beautiful Christmas decorations were up when I visited. Not nearly enough signage to figure out where I was supposed to go, though.
Very beautiful and is in the center of San Francisco
Central location. Fancy elevators. Small but cute rooms. Marble bathrooms on renovated floors fwiw.
Historic feeling hotel with large conference rooms. The staff is excellent and friendly. The hotel is just a bit older and classic feeling, not like a modern new Westin. I think my room is totally haunted.
Enjoyed a two night stay on the Starwood Preferred level. Two heavenly sleeps waking up to 180 degree city views. Located across the street from Union Square, The Westin St. Francis is almost too convenient to shops- Luis Vuitton, Neiman Marcus, and Saks Fifth Avenue can cause serious credit card damage. If you aren't big on crowds or tourists, this is not the hotel for you.
Rooms in the historical building are very small and old fashioned, but ok for a few nights stay. I cannot recommend taking the breakfast buffet at the hotel, variety and quality of food is below average, price is extremely high. Better take a la carte or one of the nearby cafes. View from meeting rooms on 32nd view of tower building is magnificent.
I have stayed in the new building for one week it is a 5 star hotel not a 4 star great location everything near by in woking distance and it was rather expencive hotel
I especially love the St. Francis during the holidays.
Great view of the city from the Imperial Floor. Location is right at Union square so always crowded.
Well located, great service, comfort and cleanliness ok, highlight the lounge on the 32nd floor with a beautiful view of part of the city.
Great hotel with even better staff. I will definitely stay there again. No joke they knew my coffee order by the second day. The views of the sun rise are insane so try to get a room with a view.
Hotel was great, views were amazing, and the staff was very helpful.
Great hotel and pleasant staff, loved our stay here.
If you go to this hotel you will feel like a true prince and / or princess. Brutal. One of the most charming hotels I've ever been to :) In the heart of everything ...
Right in the heart of downtown SF. Walking distance to food, shopping, trolley, etc.
We stayed in the Bridgeview Suite, which was gorgeous. Super fast elevators. The concierge was quite helpful. Valet & bell services were also good. Highly recommend.
Workers were on strike and the hotel was not able to uphold in s standards while we were there. Big dissapointment.
Older style hotel, but great location and modern amenities. Gym has great cardio with a smaller weight selection.
St. Francis Hotel in San Fransisco at Union Park is a beautiful, stunning hotel with beautiful rooms and great views. The location on Union Park is perfect with the Trolley and plenty of shopping just outside the door. The registration and valet staff were friendly and very welcoming as we would expect. The breakfast at the Hotel is very good with lots of variety and options. We also like the exterior glass elevators going to and from our room. We would certainly stay here again.
High quality and beautiful hotel. Huge rooms in new tower and great food from room service. Amazing original lobby and bar. Only bad experience I've had is requesting a crib be brought to our room. we waited over an hour and called several times to ask where it was. Finally went to front desk to ask and the manager immediately brought a crib up himself. Friendly, helpful staff. Great customer service. Amazing views, across the street from Union Square. Walking distance to shopping and restaurants.
Great location, but check in always seems to be a hassle. Location is perfect though for the Union Square are. Kind of cool and historic. Just do not like the check in process there.
Beautiful hotel. Great central location in SF. Our visit was a little out of the ordinary due to the room we had (suite), however the staff was great, the room was immaculate, and the view was spectacular.
Rooms are a little small, but overall experience was great!
Great old historic hotel. Rooms are small on historic side. Bathrooms even smaller. Newly remodeled rooms. Can't speak for new side.
Really nice hotel. Rooms are little but really pretty and with everything you need, so no problems at all. People are friendly and the area is near a lot of attractions. Overall it seems like a great option. Towels and shampoos are really nice as well. But I should warn... The bed is great !!! It might get in the way of you waking up early ;)
Great room, super comfortable bed (I have a bad back), and the interior is very beautiful. The Christmas decorations are a fantastic.
Room was neat and decent. Great location - right next to union Square.
Solid location, conference facilities could need a refresh.
Gorgeous old hotel - everyone friendly and professional, room marvelous and comfy, would definitely go back!
We had a major family reunion here in March 1979 with Uncle Todd and Aunt Louise Newberry (from Santa Cruz) and Uncle Ken and Aunt Helen Waltz (from Berkeley) on my rail trip to California from New York.
Very nice hotel. Missing some of the garnishes I would expect from a luxury hotel. No water bottles in the rooms, not impressive shampoo/soap, no turn down service. Very clean, plenty of standard amenities, and conveniently located. Very nice ironing board, something that most hotels skimp on.
$15 for WiFi per day. Nice hotel but no free WiFi at that price range?
The staff at Westin is fantastic. The rooms are well kept and the lobby and ball rooms are beautiful.
Get a room in the new tower. Older rooms are cramped. Only a full size bed.
Strategic position, clean rooms, well organized and lively
It was very nice. Room was big food was great. Very excited to come again.
Attended some events during Dreamforce 2018. Such a beautiful, well-kept hotel. Staff were friendly and meeting spaces were modern and updated. Superb experience.
Good centrally located place to stay bang on Union Square
I would like to start by saying this hotel is beautiful and has a ton of history. When I checked in I was greeted by a staff member who made me feel like a long time friend not a guest. I was a bit down because I had to travel for business and was going to miss my wifes birthday. The only silver lining was that my wife was flying out after her birthday. The reservationist, listened and suggested possibly upgrading. I didnt need all three nights, so she reserved me Friday night and gave me a generous discount on a beautiful suite. Then Friday morning came, I confirmed all the details before I left for work, everything was set. They would move my bags and let my wife into the suite while I was at work...big shocked planned as my wife had no idea I upgraded us to the Pacific suite...out of the dog house for sure thanks to Westin. My wife lands, gets to the hotel, tells me how beautiful it is and she cant wait to see me. I ask how she liked the surprise suite. She said the room is nice??? But not a suite. They had placed her in my old room. I got back to the hotel around 1230 and was told by reservationist that suites arent typically ready at that time.
They would text us by 4pm. So we went out sightseeing and return at 4 pm...No text. I go to the counter and after multiple trips to the back, the reservationist said my deluxe room wasnt ready. DELUXE ROOM? I reserved the Pacific Suite! She goes back behind the door again, comes back several minutes later. Suddenly it wasn't booked that way and someone else was occupying our suite. But she is able to get me a deluxe room on a higher floor. I asked to speak to the hotel manager and she says she's a supervisor and this was the best she was going to do.
SO, what really happened? Westin had been selling out that week, they saw an opportunity to sell a suite at a significantly higher rate and they totally screwed me over with out batting an eye. I did however get a half sincere apology and was not charged the upcharge for my smaller room on a higher floor. Thank you Westin, I will never forget how I was treated, nor do I plan to stay in your beautiful hotel again.
Hotel room is lovely, don't get the continental breakfast, though.
Great, historic hotel to stay in when visiting San Francisco. I came for a wedding and we stayed here, which also happened to be where the reception was hosted. Service at the hotel was great upon check in, they held our bags for us because we were running late for the wedding!
The best part was the reception. It was held on the 32nd floor and the panoramic view of the city was incredible. Not only that, but the staff provided to service the reception (cocktail hour and dinner) was outstanding. Everyone was very attentive and friendly and kept the night rolling smoothly.
Led to an outstanding reception, one of the best I had ever been too. Can't say I spent a tremendous amount of time in the room, but I enjoyed my stay.
The most beautiful hotel in the world! Incredible staff incredible location!
Great hotel, but they do not treat SPG Platinums very well. You have to negotiate to get upgrades. Great location.
Absolutely terrible experience. Was double charged for parking which costs $80 and you had to wait 30 mins for the car if you wanted to leave! Had to call 3 times to finally get it fixed. The room was overpriced for what we got. Have been to much nicer best westerns..
Very good service, moderate breakfast take into account that parking is charged separately
Thin walls, can hear everything in hall like it was happening next to your bed. Showers were cool. Better options for the price.
Very nice hotel. It is beautiful and the staff are friendly.
Classic hotel. Although rooms are smallish, they are comfortable and the service is excellent.
Great Service overall, registration, valet parking, luggage service. Comfortable stay, great views from the room.
Beautiful hotel, very good services.
Congratulations Housekeeping Department.
