Iron Maiden, out of this world gig. SSE is the best.

Excellent venue. Great sound, lots of helpful staff, clean facilities and plenty of food and drink on offer. A tad on the expensive side but I'm happy to pay the extra in exchange for the service.

Great place for a Venue. Well organised and loads of Staff to help. Plenty of toilets too. Can't wait to return again to see Rod Stewart in November. Easy to get to from Central Station and there's plenty of Scot Rail Staff on to keep you right.

Always a great venue to see any band or events taking place. Lots of nearby parking, easy and usually quick access with plenty of internal directions to seating. Bars and snack vendors on the ground floor along with loo's where you need em! Helpful staff on hand to guide you to your seat.
All in a great venue in my opinion.
Was here to see the Stereophonics in March. Top gig.

Great place for viewing the last of Still Game, but not very good for those of us with mobility issues - not the least of which was the lack of handrails, I found it physically difficult and somewhat frightening.

A good venue for nights out and listening to favourite artist/group.

Stewarding for this event was very poor. Given wrong information re box office queue and got to front of line to be told to go to SECC instead then queue again!
Lack of staff inside to steward people and lack of staff and stock in merchandise outlets.
Too few staff at seating entries, poor signage, letters not visible on steps for rows, seat numbers missing from seats.
Utter shambles! Not impressed by this fairly new purpose built venue!!!

Went to the Queen concert last night and saw someone take a serious fall because the slipped on a slice of pizza. I fully understand that accidents happen however once the staff had helped the person up they the decided it would be good practice to walk away and leave the pizza where it was for someone else to slip on. I spoke to the staff member and his response was he had notified the relevant team to come to attend to the matter. When I I formed him he should be standing over the pizza to prevent another incident he clearly didn't give a damn. Shocking and totally unprofessional attitude with no thought given to the potential outcome. 0 stars for this manner of staff & element of the evening.

Went to a steps concert in december and i really enjoyed it

the food and drink bars are over priced and the food wasn't even fully cooked! avoid buying!

Depending on where you are sound can be pretty dire. That being said without this venue certain acts would not come to Scotland. Car park is a disaster leave at least an hour extra as traffic light sequence when leaving venue should be managed better. Public transport is equally as bad if you do not live local which is unacceptable considering the size of venue. Nice try just badly thought out.

Great venue for a concert and access to the event was easy. Only issue was getting instructions to your seat. The numbering was strange and it took a few attempts to find a steward who knew where we had to go to our seats.

Best venue in Scotland. Sound quality is perfect, it's clean and always has a great atmosphere.

Getting the car out from the drop-off point is a complete nightmare, a huge line of traffic and the lights are green for ten seconds at a time, takes forever.

I like this venue and have attended a good few concerts recently. Staff have always been helpful. As usual with any venue food and drink can seem overpriced for ordinary food. Facilities are ok as again with any venue at peak times the toilets can be a bit of a nightmare and I suppose how people treat the facilities has a lot to do with it as well. Pretty much all the gigs I have been to I reckon the sound has been really good and a good atmosphere.

A bit soulless compared to other Glasgow gig venues but you can't fault it on a practical level.

Great gig, but venue really poor as horrendous queues to get in with no control or organisation. Also inside there were insufficient staff available at bars and no queue control. Floor through concourse was ridiculously slippy with staff and security doing nothing about spilt drinks other than watching people falling. Gents toilets were flooded early in evening and no sign of any remedial action.

The Hydro is a very nice arena. Easy to find in general and easy to find your seat once inside. However the parking prices and drink prices are through the roof and let down the whole experience.

Best big venue in Scotland. Rubbish choice of beer though. Fosters no thank you.

Great view, venue and performance from Florence and the Machine

It is an amazing venue well over due in Glasgow I have over 40 tickets from being there great Vue no matter where you are it's effects in the venue are amazing love it

Staff very helpful, plenty loos, Cirque du Soleil show was great.

Stay at home and put on CD as the sound in the Hydro is terrible, your fav band will sound awful !!!!!

Easy to drive to parking and then very short walk to venue.

Loved the hydro wat a place went to boyzone concert there just one complaint why do some of the door staff give off an impression of superiority too you and also can be quite rude an abrupt this is th first impression you get of the hydro and it should be a good one ! Not all the staff were like that though just a few I've payed a lot of money for my tickets and should get treated with respect not disdain

Ok venue, tickets are overpriced along with the drinks. Toilets are also questionable.

Love the hydro for a concert. Alter bridge were brilliant

Gig was phoenomona and the great sound system adds to that. HOWEVER the stupidly placed screens meant that the act was obscured, even although they are designed to be transparent. I was there for a different gig a couple of weeks earlier and screens were either side of the stage. That made much more sense.

A very good venue for the annual 3 night c2c country music festival that this year transferred from the adjacent smaller Armadillo concert hall. While it isn't as acoustically accomplished, it accommodates with ease almost double the audience 'in the round' (the stage is actually on one side of the circle, if you can imagine that). It's facilities (refreshments, merchandise, etc) are well up to the task of meeting the needs of c.7000 concert-goers so I can certainly recommend the Hydro.

Excellent venue. Only downside is if you use the drop off, pick up point. The traffic coming out of the multi story carpark, moves quicker than the pick up point.

great sound and atmosphere really big layout great for watching concert and shows

A fabulous venue which opened approx 3 years ago. Seats around 13k people with not a bad view in the place. The facility's are very good round the concourse with food like fish and chips, pizza ect all available plus plenty of bars. Car parking is available within easy walking distance and a number of hotels on site. The staff I met where brilliant, helpful and friendly. Great venue

Nice facility, good food and drink options, comfortable station and views of the stage.

Great venue but really need to stop people entering the arena during the support act, especially in the seated areas.
Constant standing up of people ruins the performance.
Get there on time or wait till the interval
Works fine in the concert hall and will make for a better atmosphere

Excellent venue inside. Went to the irn bru carnival. Parking is extortionate. Is also a 5 min walk away. Needs to be cheaper to park.

Great acoustics and visual effects. Shame about the fosters beer.
