Sons first concert last night at Slayer. Staff were lovely, very polite, friendly and professional. Lovely girl directed us to our seats. Just a very good experience.

Have been here a few times. Easy to find (we were driving), well sign posted, but there is also a train station which leads right to it. Last time we went to see Kevin Bridges Live. We were sat near the stage. Didn't have any food or drinks in there as we'd already eaten and queues were too long! Also I'm pregnant!

Fatboy Slim visuals were amazing, P.A system wasn't bad either amazing night

As a venue it is fantastic but the bars are a total let down, you can miss 30 minutes of a gig (case in point at Gerry Cinnamon right now) this is during the gig. They need the set up that festivals have to pour a lot of points ar a time instead of charging a fortune for people to miss the gig

Venue and concert very good. Queuing system leaves a lot to be desired. Easy to reach using public transport and if travelling a good selection of hotels nearby.

Typical large, soulless venue with a poor selection of overpriced food and drink - but then you're only there for the band anyway and it is capable of hosting a good show.

Seating is terrible really dangerous and the drink selection is shockingly poor and very expensive

Large venue with no drop off in sound quality regardless of where you are placed. Drink pricing is expensive but not overtly so for stadium prices. Had many a great gig here.

Great facilities and a great venue for music and shows

Great venue for events & gigs from the likes of little mix, steps & five finger death punch, also has food, drink and toilet facilities on site and also houses several private booths

Great event place cool to see the city getting another fantastic conference, show, arena driving the top acts of world to come to Glasgow. Located in Great location next to SECC down at riverside carparking next door and great access to Clydemotorway. Visit the website for all latest shows and events at Hydro.

Limited view, wrong announcements for when the interval was over. Not a great visit.

Expensive to park, expensive to drink, expensive to eat. Expensive.

Outstanding venue and because of its design there isnt a bad seat in the.place.

Well laid out floor plan, leg room for 5'6" people, helpful staff, loads of female toilets. Alcoholic drinks have lids and cost around a fiver :)

The place is great the staff work very hard to make sure everyone is catered for when the event is over the try there hardest to make sure everyone gets put in one piece and makes it home safe without any issues it is in a prine spot were it is just across the road to the trainstation

Great Venue, only been once so far, seen Paul Weller, great show, great location.

Great venue. Was going to have a few drinks with the wife but didn't really want to re-mortgage my house so just took my own.

Still think this venue is so overrated. Prices for food and drink are ridiculous and the view in any areas of seating are pretty poor. Screen sizes for the size of the place is terrible and the sound quality is always tinny reverb with heavy bass vibrations. I'm afraid it all aesthetic over function. Toilets are also horrible.

Great acts but expensive snacks. Sound is echoey for a purpose built venue.

Great venue for bands. Only criticism would be that on some occasions the sound mix can have a bit too much bass. Possibly depends on where you are seated.

Over priced food, drinks and merchandise. Not enough 'shops' on the higher levels. Ripped off left right and centre.
Positives are there is plenty of leg room in the seating areas and sound quality is acceptable.

Lovely big venue. Expensive drink (as to be expected). A special mention goes to the Steward on our section, when we went to see The Steamie on 30.12.19. A woman wanted to sit in someone else's seat ( despite having a ticket elsewhere) and was causing a bit of a scene. The Steward dealt with this really well, diffusing the situation and standing his ground, all whilst remaining calm.

Fantastic venue. Seen War of the World's, Nickelback (backed with Seether) and Kevin Bridges and all fantastic shows, brilliant sound quality and most seating area you can see stage fine. Screens big and clear too. The higher up parts are a bit of a pain to get loo and drinks but second circle up is brilliant as bar right there.

Had my dog so couldn't comment on inside of building..

Beautiful building and the staff was very friendly but the lift was broken so we had to carry our friend who was on crutches up the stairs as they didn't have any other way to get her to her seat.

Concert seating great but food drinks etc extremely overpriced

Other than overpriced tickets, there is little to fault about the SSE Hydro as a venue. The floor is a decent size and the view and sound tend to be good quality from the seats - even the top tier. There are a reasonable number of toilets, there is a free to use cash machine on site and there are plenty of food and merchandise stalls (though queues at these can be brutal at one or the other depending on the gig). All in all, I would easily rate it 5 stars if ticket prices were not double the other venue prices in Glasgow.

Great venue, amazing sound, just missing any intimacy

Good view even from quite high up and sound very good too. The Eagles were fantastic.

Went to see Rod Stewart. The place is amazing. The atmosphere was fantastic. One of the best venues for a concert I have been too and I have been too a lot

The acoustics are spot on. Best indoor venue in scotland.

Love attending gigs at the hydro, the atmosphere is astounding. No matter where you sit you always have an amazing view of the stage ( unless the idiot in front stands up)

Seen Strictly Comes Dancing. Show was great and well organised. Food and drink set up quite expensive but being a captive audience always the same. Would recommend

Visited there just recently for the strictly tour, not keen on the layout of the place though it is too high so when you are seated on the top level the performers appear small so you have to rely on those big screens dotted about which kind of defeats the purpose. What i will say though the staff are brilliant, i suffer from vertigo and i had problems getting to my seat which was on the third level, so my daughter went and spoke to someone a really lovely gentleman who came and helped me and the other young man who made sure i was okay to sit where i was but if i couldn't have managed they would have tried to get me an alternative seat. This was a Christmas gift and the person did not know about my condition. So hats off to the staff. Building on the other hand needs a bit of a revamp, more lifts and toilets closer to your seating are also better queue control

This is a fantastic venue with excellent facilities. The public toilets are clean and tidy and there are many, many food and drinks stands around the building. Unfortunately the choice of food and drink is very limited, don't expect anything remotely healthy, and these tend to be expensive but no more than any other arena.
The seating is quite comfortable and there is an adequate amount of leg room. However, if someone wants to get out of the row be prepared to stand up to let them by. Also the rows can be very long in some areas so if you are in the centre seats and need to continually get out to buy food or drinks or to go the bathroom be prepared to disturb a good number of people.
You can get a good view in the lower stands but I wouldn't recommend going above the first tier if you want to see clearly. Anything higher and you'll feel like you are very far away from the stage.
There are a variety of transport links but the surrounding areas are almost entirely restricted parking so it can be difficult to find free on street parking within a reasonable walking distance, especially during the day. Do your research on what will suit your party best before travelling.

Really good venue for live music and events, much better than concerts at the SEC.

Nice food good service and dog friendly what more could you ask for

So many QUE'S to contend with, from entrance to drinks & Food, toilets. They should have called it 'The Que'......

Well organized venue, easy to get in and out, sounded pretty decent, though I wouldn't want to be in the seating tiers.
