Good venue though as usual booze is pretty expensive though you can at least take it in with you.

Great place, comfortible, good concert. Delicious food
I went with my partner to see Florence & The Machine who were superb by the way. But my moan is about the lateness of bloody many ticket holders who come to find their bloody seats after the lights go down. Places like the SSE Hydro should stop people finding their booked seats and spoiling the enjoy ment of others who have to stand and let the late punters find their seats when the lights go down. So next time get time get your seats first forget about the food or drink order
its fine for venue.but if you dont get good seats.can be a pain.foid and drink well over priced could do with reviewing it..stop you at door if you have any drink.
Love this venue recently saw The Script lighting and effects were brilliant
The food and drink are ridiculously expensive. The staff are helpful 8 out of times.
Unless u pay for seats at front there is no point going as cheep seats at back are to far away from the stage. U will need binoculars 2 see anything
Keep Going Back to see Madness at The Secc Hydro . Security is excellent they help as much as they can even showed me to my seat. Downfall was the fosters beer. Flat as soon as I sat down please get decent beers in. Other than that I'll be back to more concerts of my choice.. stayed overnight in Campernile which was good also
Well layed out building other than the seating, we we in the middle row which means your boxed in, i have a 3 year old so had to go to the toilet with home during the show, well there's no way out other than making a whole row of people stand for which I recieved some glaring stares. Everything else was great though, friendly staff, free wifi, good acoustics.
Not very pleased as staff had asked if my boyfriend could sit the rest of the show with his jacket on as some embarrassment of a person complained about his top I don't find this right at all and it's absolutely embarrassing if you ask me stuff need to grow up and put immaturity aside
Good for a music venue, sound wise, but in every other respect it is shambles. Over 50 minutes late at opening the doors... while it was raining... costs are astronomical for rubbish food and drink and the crowd management is utter nonsense. I was sitting on the seat directly beside the stairs but was forced to consistently walk the long way round for no clear reason... sometimes I was allowed to use the stairs and other times (on the same night) I wasn't?!! Pathetic.
Grandchildren loved visiting the SSE Hydro... My only complaint was that it was a bit expensive for merchandise and something to eat and drink.
Absolutely ace. Very clean and tidy. Comfy enough seatS. most staff were friendly and helpful. Good security. Thoroughly enjoyed the gig :)
We went to see Nick Cave, who is an amazing song writer, musician and knows how to hold his audience captive.
However I prefer to see him perform in smaller venues as that suits his style of music and craftsmanship better.
Wouldn't bother with the hydro again, too big,too far away and lacking personality.
Excellent venue for concerts. Food stalls and outlets are very expensive and queues are ridiculous as you would expect from most venue sites. Toilets are always smelly and in a poor state of cleanliness. The building its self puts on an excellent colour show at night from the outside.
Had a great time watching Kevin bridges, waited ages at the bar trying to get served though
great sound and that's what counts. if you are in the cheap seats whatever you are going to see is basically a dot and you are so high you can get a nosebleed. Food and drink service is quick. Parking is extortionate but okay if there are four in the same car and car park staff get you out quickly.
Huge venue but even though we were sitting near the top the view was still perfect.
I've been in much better venues, but this is an upgrade from the old Hall 4 at the SECC. Always looonngg queues for a pint, no matter if ore gig or during the gig, its so slow. I've always found the staff to be unpleasant to rude at best.
Visited quite a few times for gigs. Although all gigs at full capacity, entrance was really fast easy to be seated and enough bars to serve all gig goers without waiting usually more than 15 mins!
Wonderful building by the river! Very intriguing. I wish I had the opportunity to live a concert in there...
Fantastic venue which doesn't really have any bad seats. A good selection of food and plenty of places to get a drink. Yet to find a bad point yet.
Lots of fun great venue even if you're not close to the stage you still get a great experience
Good venue over all, easy to access and competent and friendly staff.
Normally such a good sound from anyone playing here, however the Kings of Leon were ok but the sound was rather poor. So not being techie minded I blame the sound engineers.
Went with my Wife to see Boyzone here, great venue that holds around 10,000 people. Great sound with easy access to and from your seats. Bars and food outlets available in the main foyer. Very easy to get too and from Glasgow city centre where we were staying, only 2 stops on the train. There are also a number of hotels around the Hydro if you prefer staying nearby. Overall great experience and would go back to watch other bands.
One word of warning ........ DO NOT book seat(s) at upper level 2 or higher if you have a fear of heights/vertigo.
Went there to a Nickleback concert. Huge place, easy to find, Great acoustics.
After years of being disappointed with the SECC because of the sounds quality I must say that the Hyrdo is a million leagues better
Great venue! Probably one of the best I've been to in the UK. Having now seen 5 or 6 shoes here, it's always a good place to see your fave gigs.
Great venue for big gigs. Huge arena for different events.
Very good. Only the systematic lack of the said conquilhas is worth it.
Good venue when full, when half empty it echo's for fun
Brilliant venue for Gigs, staff were helpful enough as people arrived, but they got a bit pushy at the end - telling folk that they had to leave when all some folk wanted to do was wait until the crowds died down a bit. Some of us are not too steady on our feet and don't like being jostled.
Far too big ended up watching the screens I would have been better watching the TV at home wouldn't go back hated it
Easy car parking and good communication while in the venue
Good venue for a show. Only downside is that the food and drinks are overly expensive and the transport options aren't great, especially after the show
Went to see TAPF, thoroughly recommend the VIP package.
Big venue... the coke is actually coke zero is the only bad thing really
Went to see fast and furious live tour drove all the way from Newport South wales. Was amazing and worth the drive. Nice arena good view of show and the fast and furious live tour crew was amazing
Excellent venue inside. Went to the irn bru carnival. Parking is extortionate. Is also a 5 min walk away. Needs to be cheaper to park.
Nice venue maybe the lower seating could be elevated to see the stars better
Only complaint is the top tiers are a bit steep and you need a telescope to see the stage, will buy better tickets next time.
Went to see Bjork. Great venue, didn't try any beer or snacks so can't comment on price, seating is good had a great view. Staff plentiful and very helpful. Acoustics pretty good as well.
Awesome experience... Took my daughter to see the Vamps and she loved it... Definitely going back... Although, it would be better if the stands were more clearer to find
Great place when I went there for a gig. Food and drink was rather expensive. Staff very friendly and helpful. Couldn't move much sadly when in seats though.
As one of Jehovah's Witnesses I attend a Regional Convention at The Hydro every year. It is a wonderful arena with spacious seating, and the temperature is monitored very efficiently. The G4S security team are a very professional outfit that are conscientious, and easy to work with.
This was a great place to go! I went there with some family to see little mix. It was brilliant. So big and exciting - even better as we got front row seats. Highly recommended.
