The museum left this boat with a great impression !!!! I really recommend visiting everyone. Price 17 pounds for adults and children from 5m 10 pounds, but really worth it. We had 2 hours, it was not enough time to slow down, to see everything in more detail for 3 hours. What astonished us most was that all the premises were restored as it was in 1843, when the boat first departed from Bristol, from the dock where it stands now. Made of waxy people, sounds and even scents !!!! If you go through the scent-to taste the scent of pancakes, the fish-fish, the wc-it's even a nose to cover :) the kids could have made mice masks, told about rats on the boat, they could dress up the clothes of the time and make photos and more activities. The boat is really impressive, as it is even 98m in length. The first longest ship made of metal and with a screw that transported people across the Atlantic Ocean. Recorded through 14d. Around the world has been flooded 33 times. Even the young Queen Victoria was fascinated by his comfort and luxury. 1886 Damaged by storms and the Falkland Islands became a floating warehouse, but returned to its dock in Bristol in 1970 and made a museum of boats.

Great value for money, exhibition, museum and displays all told a very detailed and descriptive picture of brunel in his time. The ship was very impressive too, would be worth a other visit.

This is a really great museum. There's enough information and spaces to explore to spend several hours. The atmosphere created in the ship is really good with a great use of light, smell and sound. Thoroughly recommended.

Fab day out, great attention to detail, had somebody playing the piano in the ball room on board the ship, the authentic smells made me physically feel sick, even met isambard! Lovely staff too.

Brunel is one of the most celebrated individuals of British history, however the feat of engineering to get it back from the Falkland Islands is truly remarkable. A family day out for all to enjoy.

Very interesting historical ship but focused rather more on technical than the personal history. Had some "victorian" entertainers who were very poor and not really necessary. Gift shop too expensive and the cafe was incredibly difficult to find, very small for the amount of tourists using it and very understaffed. Waited ages to get served and they ran out of china mugs as no-one to clear tables and wash up dirty crockery

Brilliant afternoon. Took the Mrs and mother in law and we really enjoyed it.
Boat is exactly as you imagine with scenes set up inside. Even smells of the olden days.
Great insight into life on board.
Great museums and educational area.
Really great day out
