I had the experience of dealing with square One resources through one of their consultants Robert Schooling. Unlike other consultants who wastes lost of time by asking irrelevant questions just to build their database. He was very clear and straight to the point, discussed role, day rate and next day he organised interview for me, got offer same day. Since then he had called me occasionally to check how things are at my current place. Best thing about square one is that they are never late on payments, you don't even need to raise invoices, just fill time sheets and they send money to your bank account after a week without fail. Wouldn't even give 1 star! Rude consultant. George Baxter. Spoke to me in the internal recruitment team, told him we do all our resourcing directly and don't need his help. After several if's and buts later I put the phone down, he then tried calling other parts of the business who transferred him back to us and he proceeded to argue with our resourcing manager about how our processes are wrong.

I have been a contractor for over a decade I have never encountered such dodgy and chaotic recruiter, they never offer you a real job, but they enjoy messing you around.
I was offered an urgent developer role seven weeks ago, told to cancel interviews after the offer was made which I did not, only for them to mess me around for seven weeks postponing start day week by week, till today I realised after chatting with a colleague already worked on the project, the whole thing was a hoax, the job has been on hold for weeks!
Stay away unless you want to be part of fruitless recruitment show which never hires you and never pays you.
I am very satisfied with the work of Square One, especially with my contact person Karl Upson. He does not just send me something, he listens to me, understands what I need and helps me to find new colleagues.
Contacted me unsolicited regarding an opportunity they had. The recruiter didn't seem to understand the role, refused my offer to tailor a more appropriate CV and generally didn't do all of those sensible things that you expect a decent recruiter to do. Unsurprisingly I didn't hear anything back from them after the application was submitted.
You might get lucky with a particular role, but from my experience I wouldn't want these people acting for me or expect them to add any value - there are much better out there.
Liaised with SQ1 for a PM opportunity. The professionality and the kindness of the recruiter I worked with was impressive: a lot of calls, details and useful information. The position was a fit with my skillset (and this is a plus because often recruiters contact me for unsuitable positions), and even if in the end I decided to drop the application for personal reason I can only give a positive feedback on this recruitment agency.
