Contacted me unsolicited regarding an opportunity they had. The recruiter didn't seem to understand the role, refused my offer to tailor a more appropriate CV and generally didn't do all of those sensible things that you expect a decent recruiter to do. Unsurprisingly I didn't hear anything back from them after the application was submitted.

You might get lucky with a particular role, but from my experience I wouldn't want these people acting for me or expect them to add any value - there are much better out there.
