I give the breakfast buffet 4 stars as compared to other hotel buffets. Our waiter, Alex, was top notch. I never ate at a buffet where the waiter offered to get coffee, tea, or water, which were all offered at the buffet line.
The food was a bit better than the normal buffets. We had a nice variety and all of the cooks and staff I delt with were friendly.

A great family oriented environment and lots of nature to experience with the family. Indoor pool and a water recreation center. Summer is filled with lots of beautiful outdoor activities and a wonderful lake.

Here on a nice day outside. So crowds are not bad. Hot tubs not working. One not filled. One cold. Bathrooms clean. Food prices not bad, until I paid $5 for fries and got the equivalent to a small McDonald's french fry. Tip: the a Groupon.

Well to begin with i booked online thought i would check it out instead of going to the other indoor water park ,i will not be going back i check in they told me the water park was not included in my price so anyway bottom line it cost me more then if we would have went to camelback ,which is a great place ,breakfast i sent the kids down they came back with 2 bagels and they said it was stale and would not eat them so just another disappointment ,bottom line i turned in 2 tickets to the water park because we didnt use them then they tell me i am sorry but you bought them already they could not do anything about it, lesson learned ,a resort place that i will not be going to but at least i experienced it thats all i can say ,the rooms were okay but dated ,

This place is so out dated...... I am incredibly disappointed in this place. The Jets were terrible. The staff is so rude; my mother said nice to meet you with a lady that worked in the gift shop, and she gave her the nastiest look ever. The service is poor and wasn't good at all. Everywhere else I went beside my lodge room had service. The pool area is extremely dangerous. I had to call the service Company, to reboot the internet. Never coming here again! ONCE AGAIN UPDATE YOUR ROOMS!!!

It's not that I had a bad experience , its that this place did not fit what I was looking for. If you are looking for a family friendly resort, this is the place. If you are a young adult looking for a fun resort, this is not the place. Lol. 10 pm is Quiet Hours. Thats all I have to say. Oh And I really loved the guy making Omlets and breakfast...he has such a great personality....perfect person to be greeting people in the morning.

Went to Split Rock for a beer festival and stayed overnight. Everything was ok, some areas of the resort could use some attention. Had dinner at the resort also. The food was ok, but nothing special. I would go back for another event.

Worse hotel I have ever experienced. I normally rationalize a bad situation but this place takes the cake. We went there for our honeymoon since it was a gift from someone.. Customer service was rude and aggressive towards customers not just towards me. I witnessed in the check in area, them arguing toward another customer about if there will be a charge on their card while she was attempting to answer my question. Do not eat at their buffet as well. I was throwing up after I got food poisoning from eating under cooked corn beef hash. Their room was horrid in desperate need of an update. How does a room not have drawers to put clothes in. No closet to put anything in so we literally left everything in our suitcase. We had to move a table just so I can have a night stand. We bought clips to keep our curtains closed so we didn't have weirdos watching us while we slept. Their is only 2 elevators that barely held a luggage cart. In order for us to get to our room we took one elevator to one floor than walk across the building to get into another building to get into our floor. Wifi was weak. One linen exchange for a week including towels. There are no to-go order in the bar so anytime after 6pm if you were hungry might as well drive somewhere to pick up food. No delivery at all. No room service. You can tell its under staff when its a requirement that you have to do the maid's job when you leave. DO NOT STAY HERE AT ALL FIND ANYWHERE ELSE.

Overall a nice resort. Had a few issues with the room that were quickly taken care of. The hot tub and pool were well kept, and the fitness center and arcade were great. Disappointed that the arrows weren't ready for the archery. Would recommend.

I have posted one review on here already about the bad time my family had and how over priced everything was there. I also want to warn everybody that we are still waiting for our refund. We went through Expedia, they claim that they are being blocked from talking to a manager by the reservation desk to get the refund approved. By all means, I would advise people to never deal with this resort it isn't worth it. There are plenty of cheaper places to have fun in Pennsylvania.

Staff is not pleasant the place looks so 70's with some modern comodities which they are always broken. Overall we had an ok experience we purchased a time share for the travel perks however is all a rip off no availability to where we need to go and dated are not flexible. Very upset looking to sell it out

We went through our time share to stay at Mountain Laurel Resort and Spa. It was the most disgusting, horrible place in the word. They had given us a pass for Split Rock Resort so we came to take a look around and as a last ditch effort, we asked if they had a room that we could switch to because it was SOOOOOO NICE HERE. They did. Lisa at the front desk was WONDERFUL as was Nadia. They worked and got us a room. My children were literally jumping up and down. Within an hour, we went back to Mountain Laurel, packed up all our stuff, checked out, loaded everything back up into the car, checked into Split Rock, and were unpacking in our new room. Everyone here is so great. We love it. Thank you for saving our vacation.

We enjoyed our off season time-share transfer at Split Rock Resort. It was a great launching point for visiting towns and attractions nearby, but we didn't really care to partake in many of the resort activities. The outdoor pool was nice w/ sun and shade depending on what you're looking for, although you have to sign a legal waiver to go in! The Lodge by the lake is a little past it's prime, but the main Galleria seemed pretty nice.

Resort is ok theres plenty to do but it's really outdated my room and the hallway smelled like wet rug. The lights kept flickering. One of the bathroom lights didnt want to turn on. Food is way overpriced for taste. Waterpark was ok a couple things was out of service which sucked and lots of rust. I was locked out my room one day and since I didn't have my ID on me since it was in my room I was told I had to wait for security to open the door for me even though I gave the lady at front desk my room key. I waited soaking wet with my kids for 30mins, and she deactivated the other key I had in the room with my wallet so back downstairs again. They need better customer service and put money back into this place badly.

we stayed at the westwood villas. the room is spacious and the fire place was a nice feature. the kitchen was well stocked as far as being able to make small meals. this being said, the beds were ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! it would have been more comfortable to sleep standing up. the linens are very old and threadbare. the steps leading up to the cabins are falling apart. when we came into our cabin, we noticed an envelope requesting a tip to the people who cleaned our room. I cleaned our room. My husband had to go to exchange the towels as nobody comes to do that. He also had to request that the trash be removed from the closet as it was FULL and STINKY. i had to clean the windows because there were snotty handprints all over them and the mirrors as soon as you walked in. the resort area is close by but very outdated. the game room was filthy. and all activities are extremely overpriced for what they are. the water park is very overpriced and only somewhat worth it if your children are 5 and under. the food at split rock grill was very good but also way overpriced. the employees are super friendly but often unable to be found and the waitresses are very frumpy and a couple appeared to not have showered in some time. the last time we ate there i wanted to request a paper airplane check just so the waitress didn't need to come back by our table. the last day we were having ice cream in the lobby area which filled up with exhaust fumes that forced us outside and none of the employees seemed too concerned about the possible CO poisoning of any of the guests.

I am an owner here and I was upset with my recent visit here. I brought my sister in law through the referral program. We were in building 3 in Willowbrook. When we came in the room it smelled so bad, like a dirty wet mop. The carpet still felt moist like if they just cleaned it. It they didn t even do a good job. Also the sofas looked disgusting and old that I didn t even want to sit on them. There were dead bugs inside the room all along the patio door. The pots and pans are terrible. Also my niece had gotten burned really bad from the pool. It has wayyyy too much chlorine it s ridiculous. I don t understand what I m paying for. Even if it was through the referral program, it shouldn t be this bad of an experience. The people we bring are not going to want to come back or even own something like this. You need to start renovating because everything is just so old and outdated.

The beds are EXTREMELY uncomfortable, you can feel every spring and the bed is super hard to the point that sleeping on the couch was easier and more comfortable. When going to a hotel I would like it to feel like a vacation and not even being able to sleep because of the awful beds ruins the luxurious feel for paying to sleep in a room (basically paid not to sleep) Everything is super outdated and the only elevator on the first floor is broken constantly. The fast food restaurant is good but very overpriced, but is really the only option because the service at the back restaurant is awful (I was the only person in the restaurant and no joke it took 2 hours for our food with no refills on drinks). On top of all that the key cards don t work for the rooms all the time and the safety lock on our room was completely broken to the point where the screws were out of the wall and you could take it off. I have no service whatsoever in the hotel which would be fine if the wifi worked even a little bit, but my phone constantly connects and reconnects to the point where it s useless. Hotel has great potential but needs time, attention, and care to make it actually good.

The facilities aren't horrible, but make sure you are booked at the main hotel. The Lodge is a ghost town about 3 minutes from the main, which isn't far but who wants to get into the car especially if you're wet from the water park. There are no facilities for food at the Lodge. The only staff, I saw was the cleaning staff in the morning. There is a pool without a lifeguard. The bathroom was very dated, but functional. The bed was comfortable

I gave a 5 star because my 9 & 11 year old sons had a BLAST. BUT would I go back No I would NOT.... The water park needs to be better maintained. While walking up to the three big slides there was small what looked like puddles of mud for decayed concrete it look Yucky , nasty and unsanitary and I saw some where I was sitting on the beach chairs..And the water was cold its August so I can just imagine how cold it is in the winter, I won't be there to experience that . And the attendance to me it was colder the day before, but yesterday was over 80 degrees. Its Indoor the water should be warm... My first and last time...But my boys loved it

Came for a week and just booked another week because we don't want to leave, everything we want to do we can do on site and there's 3 supermarkets in the area to restock our kitchen here at willowbrook. It's awesome that they have shuttles for the resort area so I can go to town center to swim, catch a movie or just have a snack and a drink at the bar

Rooms need to be updated soooo badly
We turned on the fan and it was throwing dust everywhere, so nasty. Toilets didn t flush properly and closets smell musty.
We still had a great time with the kids and staff wee very friendly but please update those old dark cabin feeling rooms
In the 2 days we were there the hotel had to be evacuated because fire alarms go off when guests use stoves in the rooms.. Glad we went in the pool at the time since it was cold outside

The resort has great amenities, but the rooms are a whole different story. The main hotel looks renovated but once you get to the lodge it looks like you have been sent backs to the 50s. There was no WiFi in the lodge. There was a cockroach in my bathroom. The bed sheets did not seem to have been cleaned and there was a small stain that looked like blood. After looking at this i slept on top of the bedsheets fearing of bedbugs. The tv had more static then pixels. Overall, the hotel staff was very nice and welcoming but, the rooms are not clean or attractive. If management dose not believe these accusations i have pictures that I would be willing to send of the bed and the bug found in the bathroom.

The facilities are a little older but the customer service is extraordinary. It started with the man at the front desk, Lord, who was very friendly and ensured we were acquainted with the resort s offerings. It felt like I was speaking with a friend I ve known forever. That kid is going great places.

Then, to add to that, we went down to the arcade and the woman there, Makayla, helped us while my children were picking out prizes. I messed up and gave her the wrong card to throw away. Makayla went through the whole basket of discarded cards to help save our tickets and our remaining money.

Makayla went out of her way when she didn t have to. Thank you, Makayla. Thank you so much. Also, I love the name Makayla. Best...name...ever.

Honest thoughts

Honest thoughts
Should not be called a Resort, this place is very outdated looking, from the rooms to the hallways. So if your into it actually looking like a cabin sure you would think its ok. Food is regular, workers are nice, alot of activities to do, and markets nearby with a drive. For a getaway with friends is cool. The indoor water park is cool when there's nobody really there. There's different rooms, some bigger than others and some dirtier than others as well. Also when I was there both of the hot tubs were out of order, SHAME. YALL NEED HELP!

Hotel seems a bit old and out of fashion; rooms are out of style too; the shower head stream is too small to enjoy shower; no string to hang wet cloth especially there is a water park there. So the resort did not expect guest to stay longer? Activities are ok but some need extra charge. Receptionist are nice. Staff are nice. Food choice is a bit awful, and pricy. Overall it s ok experience. I really hope the management can renovate this place. The pool and the water park is a bit cold.

There are positives and negatives here... the water park is great, some of the area activities are easy to get to and very fun. However the resort is dated, and not equipped for modern times. No cell signal or wifi is available in my area. Other areas of the property have these, but not all. While I realize that it's not about sitting around on your devices, it's nice to be able to use them at night before settling in, or in the morning while having breakfast. The resort charges extremely high amounts of money for services that are either included or much cheaper at most resorts.

The location is away from it all, which for some that's great. Inclusive it sure is not. You have to pay for water park, food, bowling, theater, etc. Bowling is $8 a game, the Theater is only $4 per person and they give you a free small popcorn, but sodas are $4. The Water park, $33 per person, is small and closes by 8pm while every other amenity end at 10pm. It has 3 slides, a wave pool, a surfing pool, hot tub, kid water area, and I believe that's it. The rooms are good and they have a small refrigerator, if my room had a microwave it would have been great. The wifi sucks. Billiard room is big and has about 7 tables which are mostly broken, except for 2 and you have to wait for the people playing to return the balls before you can play, so expect a wait. The arcade was great and the fitness room had plenty of machines and fresh towels.

The rooms are slightly outdated. You can tell they're trying to update but it's not happening quickly. Not the greatest food but it is convenient if you get a room with a kitchen. The rest of the resort has a lot to do and the waterpark was a blast! Great for families with younger children.

Overall it was a decent stay. Plenty of activities and stuff to do, but let me start with the bad unfortunately the water park was closed as well as a bunch of other things when we went bc it was during the week. Not the cleanest place either could be better the place was definitely old fashioned and in need of remodeling. But I will just say the staff was very nice and friendly. I don't know if we'd go back tho.

This was a fun place to take the kids on a rainy day. The kids had a blast with the slides, obstacles, and getting doused with water from a huge bucket (careful though, it's easy to slip when that water's coming down). One the big slides was shut down and the kiddie pool was freezing, so there's room for improvement but it was a nice surprise overall. The staff was good.

Had a good family vacation here in late August. We rented out the lakeside room which was a short drive away from the main building. Our room was okay nothing fancy and had a mini fridge and coffee maker. The building where our room was in had its own pool and was right by the lake where you can rent boats. We visited the water park that was pretty small and more for younger children. They also have an arcade with bowling and tennis that was fun and a movie theater too. The main building has a restaurant for breakfast lunch and dinner which we took advantage of because of the all inclusive deal so we didn t have to pay for each meal. Everything closes at 10pm and the pools a bit earlier so theres nothing much to do at night except enjoy the scenery and lakeside. Oh and the WiFi is horrible here and the TVs in the room are kind of ancient. All in all I d say it was very relaxing I enjoyed the pool and hot tub the most.

I had some issues with the sleeper sofa not being functional and the staff immediately addressed the problem. We were able to move rooms. We then had an issue with the AC not working properly and maintenance came within the hour and fixed it. Maintenance was very professional and friendly! I would definitely come back!!

The waterpark is a little small, with only three water slides (one of which wasnt working when we were there). Some of the areas needed some attention, like the rock sides were cracked and chipping. There is no lazy river and no hot tubs. Overall my kids had a good time however we only stayed two hours and the price to get in isnt worth the time we spent. Their staff is amazing though and we actually got comped the water park tickets due to an issue at the desk when we checked in. I have however been to better water parks and may not decide to return to this one as Id prefer to try some new ones with more features. This whole resort area is outdated, however this resort is very large and includes a lot of amenities if you are staying on site. It probably wouldny be a bad place if you were staying more than one day and if the waterpark was included for hotel guests (or at least at a large discount)

Stayed at the timeshare Westbrook part of Split Rock. Place is a bare-minimum ok. No hot water our first night- they had to turn it on lol! Tub wouldn t drain. Gave us 1.75 rolls of toilet paper for a family of 5 for one week. Fireplace wasn t working. Alarm was going off in our building for 3 hours and they couldn t turn it off. Very dated facility, but was clean. Good luck reaching someone at the front desk. Very confusing place bc not a lot of signage. Want to see the Spli Rock this resort was named after? We had to go on a hunt for it! Pictures are deceiving. Shows the beach right by the resort, but in all reality- you have to drive to it unless you re staying at the Lodge part of the resort. Lots to do, but you will spend your money fast. Only free things are the pools (which one of the outside ones wasn t open one day bc the lifeguard decided that since it sprinkled for half an hour in the morning, he wasn t going to open it) and the beach. Cable broke in the whole resort- so no winding down with the kids at night. Pull out bed was very uncomfortable. Arcade had a ton of games that weren t working or that were just not turned on. (actual conversation I overheard from one arcade worker to another arcade worker Dude- why are all of these games turned off? I don t know- I didn t notice. ) Wifi is available, but terrible. I gave this place a 3 despite all of this bc we still had a great time. Hiking and zoos, etc are half an hour away or more. Check out Boulder Field if you go to Hickory Run park- very cool. But drive to it unless you want to walk a total of 7 miles.

It's a great cheaper place for the kids to enjoy. They don't notice the grime on the steps, messy concession stand, and pouts on the lifeguards faces. Otherwise it was a good time. I was excited to see the looks on my kids faces the entire time. They are asking when we are going back.

I will support with pics later. Currently on day 3 of 5 here and is the worst resort I've ever seen. Bugs in the room, amenities are in terrible condition, hot tub has dirty foam floating in it, and staff seem as if they don't exist. Do yourself a favor and don't stay here. Any of the places with indoor water parks down the road are way nicer. Unless of course you like bugs, mold, and wood paneling. Then stay here for sure.

Checked in at 11:50 pm on March 15, 2019. Checking out next day at 11am. I'm giving 2 stars for subpar service and rooms. One bathroom toilet was clogged, the showers leaked water from spout while in shower mode. The mattresses need to be replaced, springs are popping out making it uncomfortable. The only possitive is the rooms were clean. I think for 500$ a night it would be a little bit better for a resort. Their cahier at the coffee shop, Amey, had terrible customer service. Looked like he didn't even want to be there. Seemed tired, sluggish. Where is the customer service? We went to H2oooh as it was part of our stay. It was fun however, 2 attractions we're down. The hot tub and the lazy river. The slides we thrilling and my children loved the water jungle gym. Over all had it not been for the water park this would be a 1 star .Customer service should be a priority. Say hello, or a good morning. It goes a long way.

To say this place was a dump would be an understatement. The only reason why I would give this place one star would be because my 3 yr old son had fun at the water park. First, it was the longest check in process ever. Our first room was a complete dump. Decor from the 80 s with flies flying around the bedroom. We requested a room change with no apology from the front desk. We were told we would be much happier with our next room. This room (#3634) was a downgrade from our first room. Holes in the bedroom door, bathroom vanity was falling apart and love stains on the couch next to the bed. Music from a wedding celebration taking place was so loud it was vibrating our room until 10pm making it tough for us to fall asleep. Also, there were people running up and down the hallway yelling until around midnight. Paper thin walls made every noise loud and clear. The mattress was the worst mattress we ve ever laid our bodies on. Stains on the sheets. It was a complete nightmare. We will never stay here again or recommend this place to anyone. I have plenty of pictures and a video of the room to share with anyone who would like to see.

Probably the worst place I have ever stayed. The line to check in at reception took over 30 minutes. The room was dank and in disrepair. (I wanted to leave as soon as I entered the room but I could not do so as I was there on an extended family trip.) My family was assured that our rooms would be adjacent to each other but we were scattered all over the place such that I needed to drive to visit them. The amenities resembled public park facilities. The fact that my two-night stay cost over $600 is an outrage.
