My family and I decided to book a mini vacation for July 4th weekend and to be away from home since COVID-19. It will be just a one time visit for us. I will not visit this resort again due to couple mishaps. Upon checking in we were to find out that the water park closed for two days which made my kids sad. Second on our way too our room the hallway and room had a very strong and funny smell. Luckily I packed Lysol which I used to take away the smell. On the second day of our stay we had to shower with freezing cold water. My husband called the front desk which took a while to get through. Being that I am pregnant it made me very stressed out and wanted to leave the resort but because I wanted to make my kids happy I had to stay to fulfill there excitement for the vacation. This resort need to modify and update to the current resort styles and accommodations.

This is not the fanciest hotel/resort I've been and the front staff service has much to be desired but when it comes down to it this place has it all. The indoor pool is amazing, outdoor is dirty and my kid got hurt from the sharp concrete in the pool floor. Waterpark is nothing special but the othet activities make it all worth it. Tennis, basketball, bowling, arcade, movie theater, lake, hourly activities for the kids, golf, archery, beanbag toss, volleyball, lake... list just keeps going. My kids had the time of their lives and therefore it's worth 5 star review.

Dont waste your money. They perform next to no maintenance on the facilities and the place is very disorganized. The food was the worst part and literally got my son, my wife and I sick enough that my wife and son threw up.

The only upside is that everyone that was there (guest wise) was extremely nice and pleasant to deal with.

We booked a family vacation involving 10 rooms and 26 people . The highlight of our stay was the dinner party we had in one of the rooms in the Galleria Building. Tony, the banquet captain was great; helping us get the room set up, putting candles on a birthday cake and leading us in singing Happy Birthday,. Our group coordinator, Cecelia was also instrumental in making our stay a memorable experience. We definitely recommend Split Rock for a Group event.

Beautiful family resort. Lots of activities for the kids and whole family. I recommend doing outdoor activities in the day time and getting the discounted price for the water park from 6-10pm. We stayed in the lodge by the lake. Room was a little dated but you really don't spend much time in the room so it's no big deal. Beautiful views and yummy food. Boat/canoe rental is a tad pricey. Mini golf was fun. I'd definitely return.

My 9 year old son loved the place and so did I! The room was clean and plenty of towels. I will be going back in a few weeks. The rate was unbelievably low. Put it this way..it was 1,100 cheaper than great wolf lodge and 1,500 than Kalahari! There's also a lot more to do in the warmer weather.

I went here for the day with my 5 year old daughter and 2 year old twins. It was perfect for their ages! And forsure good for up to age 12. It was clean, the staff was super friendly. I specifically chose this over camelback and kalahari because it was smaller (not too overwhelming) and the price is much better! They allowed us to eat in the waterpark so my kids took a break and ate lunch. They enjoyed the drinks and ice cream from the small shop there. I would definitely go back again!

As the waterparks in the Poconos go this one is by far the cheapest. Though I have to admit it is one of the smallest ones compared to Camelbeach, Great Wolf, and Kalahari.

It is fun for all people young and old but being the smallest indoor waterpark it is also very crowded especially on weekends.

We've come here a couple of times with my son for kids birthdays. They had fun. We not so much. Drinks are expensive so is food but then again we're there for kids, so as long as they are happy we're happy.

It is a nice resort, with a cool water park, pool, and some places to eat. I only stayed in the main resort building and my room was huge with a full kitchen. Access to the ski resorts s easy.
Nice little retreat.

Also would give zero stars if I could. We left on Friday am to have a long holiday weekend here over the 4th (stay scheduled from Friday through Tuesday). They called us on our ride out there (about an hour before our arrival) to tell us that had a computer "glitch" and could not honor our reservation (which we had a two night deposit). I am a technology professional...this was no glitch, this was poor management and reservation tracking. So, they put us at the Inn at Pocono Manor (25 minutes away) and promised to shuttle us every day to the amenities. This place was built in 1902 and it shows....and was likely runner up for the shooting location of "the shining". So the overflow place was a dump, and they denied any affiliation with Split Rock. So, we ended up jammed in a tiny two double room..and they ruined our planned events and activity reservations for the whole weekend. We ended up leaving early on Monday and will never set food near this place again. This place is not trustworthy, and I would caution any family trying to plan a vacation in the Poconos to steer clear of this place.

We were at the resort this past weekend. The resort is nice, and my family had a lot of FUN, however its bit run down in areas and what is advertised is not what you get, so have a print out of the package you ordered cause you will most likely need it. We paid for the ALL-INCLUSIVE PACKAGE. Which on the Website is advertised with Unlimited Movie including Popcorn, upon arrival I was told it includes one movie (FALSE ADVERTISING) and that they only show 1 movie anyway. Don't really care how many movies you are showing i paid for unlimited, so i should be able to see the movie 5 times if i wanted to. NO ONE that worked in the restaurants or the front desk seems to know what is included in our package, many of the employees didn't seem to know anything about anything. We were lucky enough to have a beautiful day on Saturday, so we rented a Golf Cart (it was a bit expensive for 1 day, but my kids have never been in a Golf Cart and they really wanted to go out on it and loved it.) and went exploring. After checking out the actual Split Rock we went over to the Lake The lake was awesome. I wish there was more for the kids to do on the lake, like a slide off the dock something, but we had fun making new friends and memories. While at the like we went on a Banana Boat Ride, so fun and we will definitely do it again. The bikes were all broken, and the arrows were not ready so Archery was out of the question. We had dinner at Split Rock Grill, the food was excellent and our server Rose, knew what was included and what wasn't included in our package, my only issue here was that when we were seated there were only 7 (out of maybe 50) tables being used, some had their food, others were waiting and a few were looking at menus. We were seated and received an immediate apology because they someone how ran OUT of Menus. So they seem to only have 5 menus, Don't understand that, but like i said food was Great and our server was very good. After dinner we went to see the Movie (which they play the newest movies or I should say movie) we saw Spider-Man Homecoming, it was included in our package with a free small popcorn each. My husband was told by the kid at the counter, that it only included the movie an he would have to pay for the popcorn. He did.. I later went to the front desk to question this and request a refund. They instructed me to go back to the theater because they couldn't issue a refund, so I did, once there, I was instructed to go to the Front Desk, i explained that they sent me back there, then i was instructed to go to the Bowling Alley were the manager is, so I did, I showed them the website says unlimited Movie with Popcorn and immediately they refunded my card. There were no issues or additional questions. The next day we went to Buffet Breakfast at Split Rock Grille(also included in our package), It was excellent. They have great variety of Food, including an omelette and Waffle station, my kids were in their glory. Right after Breakfast we did some shopping in the Gift Shop (there is not a large selection) and then off to the water park. There are not many rides, 3 big raft slides, 1 play area with the Giant Bucket(many of the items here were broken), a wave pool(with minimal waves, nothing that will knock you backwards, like you would see at some of the larger water parks), flow rider and a baby/younger kid area. There is supposed to be a Hot Tub, but it was empty and looked disgusting. Not enough in there that guests should have to pay extra to go there, you can do the whole park in 2 hours. This should really be included in the price of your stay at the resort. We spent a little time at the indoor pool (there are tables and chairs, but you can't eat or drink, so I don't understand that). The website says Lunch for the Food Court Deli NO ONE HERE HAD ANY IDEA WHAT WAS INCLUDED, they told me that they were never told. The arcade can use some work, not all the machines work. Bowling was fun, but the balls are warped and the lanes are not straight.

Absolutely horrible. We booked one room and they switched to another rom and we tried to rectified at the desk and they would not admit to what they did. I called the hotel directly when I booked the room. It is totally gross. Smells like 1970 smokers bowling alley. Loud all night long!!!! Hotel does nothing for it's guests. I would never send anyone here, so poorly managed!!!

We went to Split Rock for the indoor water park and the bowling alley and arcade. The water park was a ton of fun and the water was pleasant despite it being the middle of winter. The food from the little cafe thingy was ok, though overpriced like anything at a theme park. Drinks from the bar were, likewise, expensive for rail booze but the pour was generous and that makes up for a lot. The bowling alley and arcade was also fun. My daughter had a great time playing the games and exchanged her hard won tickets for standard arcade fare like a squishy toy and a stuffed animal. Staff was very friendly and we had a great time.

This is the ideal location for vacationing because the rooms are amazing, and the service is very kind and cheap. The best part is, is that it is close to many restaurants and entertainment.

While it is great for smaller kids, and do have a few medium sized slides, that are fun for adults as well, it was really COLD there and now the whole family is down with flu. Jacuzzis did not work and were emptied of water, without even closing the entrance to them. Staff was not able to tell why or when they will start working. REMEMBER to bring your own towels!
