Overall, our experience here was pleasant. The water park access was included with the price of our room which was really awesome that we didn t have to pay out of pocket for it alone. The cost was very appropriate and we did not feel we paid too much to stay here.

The water park was very kid friendly. All the kids seemed to have a lot of fun. My boyfriend and I came on a Friday night and we had tons of fun even though there didn t seem too much for adults. We were bummed that the hot tub was closed but we understand because of covid. The only complaint that I have about the water park is that the lifeguard staff except for maybe a few are very distracted on their phones while guarding, spinning around in circles and staring at the ceiling. Being a guard myself I was horrified to see the laziness of these guards because it only takes one time for someone to drown. My boyfriend and I came out of a water slide and fell out our tubes which was so fun, but the entire time the lifeguard s back was to us and he didn t turn around until we were out of the water. If Ellis or Red Cross were to come audit this place, they would be shut down in a minute due to the incompetence of the lifeguards.

The pool in the main building was warm and relaxing and we had a great time. Again, no hot tub but that s okay! We then ended our night at the Thirsty Moose, which was really fun! Drinks not too expensive, and we had the whole place to ourselves for most of the night. Pete was super nice and was chatting with us all night. Fries are amazing btw.

In the middle of the night, we were awoken by the screams of the people in the room next to us. The walls seem to be pretty thin, and we had to turn on the heater to drown out the noise. The rooms were dated and the hallways had a little smell, but it was nothing to really complain about. It was a nice experience overall and we would definitely come back when things are more upgraded and back to normal if this pandemic ends. It was super cozy and had a camp feel which we both loved.

The breakfast area was nice, the staff was kind and coffee was great. We sat down and ate breakfast before leaving and it was a pleasant way to end our stay.

All in all, we would recommend staying here, especially if you have kids who love activities and water parks! As two adults, we still had a lot of fun!

Had a great time here. Deer were outside back door every night. Got within 10 feet of them, but only because that's where they already were. Beautiful place. Take time to walk around near the lodge, it's gorgeous

Really nice and relaxing atmosphere. The resort itself has changed significantly over the past few years with the new management. Great area for winter as it is directly in between Jack Frost and Big Boulder ski mountains. Not too far from Pocono Raceway either. Overall would rate this place about an 8 out of 10 with activities for the whole family.

One of the more affordable resorts in the poconos. You won't pay $600 a night here like some of the other theme resorts that shall remain nameless, "cough", "cough", like Wolfs Lod. Or CB. Split Rock also has the H2O indoor water park open to the PUBLIC!!!.

It's cute for an in-hotel bonus. Certainly not for a water-park style destination.

Staff is no-where near attentive enough to feel comfortable letting my 8 year old swimmer out of eye-sight for even a minute. Even at the top of the three tube slides, there was only one "lifeguard" who was really kind of bored with being at work or maybe just tired and having a bad day. But if there was any kind of medical emergency, she wouldn't have been able to do anything.

Three "cool" tube slides, a fun wave pool and surf pool and a small kids play area. But that's really it.

Snack bar is cafeteria-style pool food. Meh. (Eat in Lake Harmony instead)

Outdated motel with a never ending hidden fee structure. Water park is in severe disrepair due to poor preventative maintenance. About 50% of the water features are not working correctly and there is exposed rust almost everywhere you look. To top it of we got a view of their junk yard.

Came for the cardboard classics. Staying at lodge because we had such a great time last year. Come to find out nothing is open and no shuttle. Never coming back to this place. So disappointed. Drove all this way for nice getaway and it's a blizzard out so we r stuck in the room with nothing to do. I would have stayed at the main lodge if they would have informed me. I give it 0 stars

The accomodations were great but the services were not. Very little info at check in. Had to find out things in our own. Took almost a half hour to check in. For how big the resort is pools especially the outside pool is small. Was not told of the second indoor pool at lodge and that water is cold. No windows to warm up water. Very few activities for small children. Staff at front desk cannot answer all questions. Asked about water park, answer need to ask there. But doors are locked and does not open till noon. Was quoted one price when made reservation for water park now quoting 13 dollars more. Not happy about this place. Asked about bikes all out for service at same time. This is just some of it, not sure what other families are doing

There's lots of helpful and friendly staff around, and the rooms are nice and large! But, there are very few cooking knives in our room and the main microwave started to spark when we used it. The sofa bed is also subpar. But the water resort they have on property is fantastic! And, they have discounts for guests. Overall I would recommend staying here.

Was recently here for a meeting and they re always so nice. I believe they re currently renovating their restaurant? It looked nice. They re meeting hall for dining definitely should be updated next. It s not very welcoming and after a long meeting, it would be nice to sit in a room that didn t feel claustrophobic. Other than that, it s always a pleasure going there for business.

The water park was clean and maintained, not crowded and the kids had a blast. Not a big fan of the lockers, they kept on malfunctioning had to switch out from two different ones. Also, the showers had no benches or hooks to place your items while you showered and changed.

We had a room in one of the Willowbrook buildings and it was like staying in an apartment. It had everything a house would have like dishes, and pots to cook in. If we knew that ahead of time we would've brought food with us and not have to eat out. Now we, unfortunately, was not able to do much around the complex because I hurt my back a few days before but it all looked like fun. We loved seeing a hare a couple times along with 4 deer everytime we drove around.

Lovely, cozy, wooded area in the Poconos! Quiet, more peaceful and gentle resort still away from the busy life! Well kept facilities, friendly staff. Staff helpful and generous! Especially nice for a getaway from the normal routine during winter gray days! Yet Jack Frost and Big Boulder are neighbors! It is a quaint resort with a indoor water park, bowling, theatre, racket ball, large I door swimming pool and hot tubs! Actually a perfect winter getaway place! It's not far from Reading, Bethlehem, Allentown, Philadelphia by car. No need to fly away for a brilliant fun trip! Of course even better in the summer months! SO MUCH TO DO!

Quite sub par, very little upkeep on exterior structures, swimming area of the lake is very underwhelming compared to what one pictures when they hear "Resort." Now interior wise everything is great looking, just super bummed the water park wasn't open but can't hold that against them since most people are overreacting about the flu this year.

Has a water park, swimming pool, hot tub, bar, and night life all which are very nice. Rooms need updates and the food court is lacking and over priced. Restaurant dining is far so pack foods. They have a movie theater and bowling alley which is nice if kids get bored. Cleanliness is mediocre.

If you are planning to use the water park or fitness center during your stay, be sure to stay in the main hotel, which houses them along with the arcade, movie theater and all other activities and food sources. I was not aware we would be in a separate lodge that we had to drive to. Had I known, I would not have bought the water park package, as we used it for only one of 2 days. The lodge did have its own pool, which was convenient, but the rooms were outdated, not everything worked and the walls were very thin. We were kept up very late by a noisy family next door. However, it had its own historical charm, original wood paneling in the halls, etc. The main building has only one restaurant so be prepared to wait if you go during peak weekend hours or use the food court, which has decent pizza and salads. I had no cell phone service at all inside the resort buildings- my service is T-Mobile- and limited service outside. The resort is close to the jack frost/big boulder ski area, thankfully, as that was where we spent an entire day.

Water park is small. My kids are 14 and 12 and they were way too big for this place. The family ride was down, so they did give us a price concession, which helped.
The place just seems.... Unkempt. The h2ooo water park ridestairs had sitting water with algae? growing on them, that you had to walk through.
The mini golf course is large and the layout is fun, if it weren't for the garbage, pine needles, dirt and rocks all over every hole.
Nowhere on site to eat either.

The resort is going through renovations, we had a 2 bedroom suite. The rooms need updating , but were clean and comfortable. the beds were very comfortable. we ate at the Split Rock restaurant 3 times for dinner and at the pizza place 3 times for lunch and twice for dinner. The prices were right in line , not expensive. Pizza was great so was the food staff, the food was prepared wonderfully, the wait staff was fantastic. I had Lobster Mac and Cheese twice because it was so good. The staff at Split Rock were also great. Especially Gregg, Michael, and Maria and Harold and Jacob. We played many different games with all of them and they made it fun. We have decided to go back again next year.

The community is pretty amazing with new houses being built and old being updated constantly. The actual resort buildings however are in dire need of an update. The pool is pretty dirty outside of Monday when it is cleaned and the lake swim area looks pretty gross.

They kept tellings us they was booked no more rooms until i demanded a refund then we got another room which was very out dated not a comfortable stay. I also called the front dest of the main stay and mary was not a pleasant person to talk to. Over all i would not be coming back and would not recommend anyone to stay here.

This was our annual high school senior trip, and it was great. The rooms were spacious enough for the up to four persons per room to feel comfortable. The activities were fun, and the food was, for the most part, good. The omelette station during breakfast was the absolute best. Everyone had a great time.

Fun resort but is going down hill. Have been going for several years but i am noticing that things are falling apart. In water park, no hot tubs, no surfing, one tube down. In arcade, many machines not working. Laundry out of order. Use to be a lot more sports for families to play like soccer but not now. Still had a good time but not as good as it use to be.

Sat Jan 7, 2017 Our 1st time there. Facility was nice and clean. We had 6. Grandparents, adult kids and 2 grand kids. We all had a good time.
A special note to the staff/Lifeguard GREG at the Komodo Dragon Surf Pool. He was F A N T A S T I C! Watching him work, he had to be the hardest working guard there. Gracious and helpful to the kids trying it for the 1st time. Whatever they pay him...it isn't enough!!! He is running up and down that surf hill all day and cheerful while doing it! It was all great but this guy was the STAR of the day!
They have lockers (electronic a bit pricey on the rental) but they fill up so they need to add another block or two.
Everyone there was sociable and we felt quite at home. The lifeguards are very watchful and do tweet out at risky behavior. We will go again!

Waste of money. A small indoor water park that is in desperate need of TLK. There are only 3 slides and 1 of them is a multi-seater raft ride that they only had ONE raft for so the wait was insane. Then they kept having to take the only raft available to inflate it further. With tickets being $39 a person you would think they could at least spring for an additional raft...just one more would have improved the experience tremendously. Lots of old band-aids and hair balls to step around if you're into that kind of thing. The snack bar was the worst food I've ever had, and we're not picky eaters...$6 for a chicken patty sandwich. We spent over $80 to purchase lunch for our family.

So bummed. This place has so much potential. Rooms are ridiculously outdated. Hallways loud, one creaky old elevator. Activities were closed because of weather and a gun show and beer fest. So basically only option was the water park, pool or bowling (1.5 hour wait) They never extended hours of those activities in light of no other available activities so the entire hotel waited until 4pm for the water park to open. It took an hour to get in, while security let outside guests in first (literally LOCKED hotel guests out of the water park). And then only half the water park was open due to staffing issues. It s a shame because some of the staff was very, very nice. But as a whole, the place totally lacks leadership. Oh and to top it off....my kids clothes were stolen from the water park. We packed up early and turned what was supposed to be a 4 day stay in to 1.5. Will NEVER return there. (Nov 2017.)

This place is really basic and can look a little run-down, but you're not here to be in a luxury resort. You're here because it is next to a massive Indoor Waterpark and that's what you are trying to do. The hotel staff is very nice and Incredibly accommodating.

The rooms in the main building have not been updated since the 1980's. You can hear through the walls and ceilings. Check in was a nightmare. Water park is half the size of Great Wolf Lodge and not included in the exorbitant price of the rooms. No microwave and tiny refrigerator. Toilets and Beds in the rooms are EXTREMELY LOW TO THE GROUND. There is only one public handicapped accessible toilet in the entire main building. If you are on the fourth or fifth floor you have to take 2 separate elevators to get to your room. If you are the 6th floor you have to take 3 separate elevators. Only redeeming quality was the room was spacious.

The place was amazing. I stayed in a one bedroom suite with my year old. So clean and felt right at home. The staff were so helpful. I love that there was a shuttle van to get us from building to building if needed. No real crowds in the building with my suite in it since the main building was a few mins away. And the main building just beautiful. Karaoke night the first night was so much fun. Indoor pool was nice and so many dining choices. Then the best part h2ooh or however you spell it. Best indoor water park I have experienced to date. I will be back. And I am bringing friends next time..

Experience was awful. Could not park anywhere, was told to wait for an open spot and was forced to wait over an hour for parking. Finally walked into my room which smelled like skunk, waited almost an hour for someone to come spray the room. Hospitality was in the dumps, definitely would not recommend this resort to friends and family. My advice is to spend the extra money and stay at the Kalahari Resort. Can't even compare the experience between the two.

I have came here for my 5th time a few months ago for easter. I go here every winter with my dad for a tradition. We had a blast on 2018's trip during the superbowl. However, this year was quite different. As much as I love going here, it's sad to see that somethings I enjoy in the resort are being runned down. Such as raquetball, they had a nice and empty room to play in but this year had no air conditioning at all. I usually last the whole 2 hour reservation, but I only lasted about 30 minutes because I felt I was getting sick from the lack of air. The arcade was kind of a let down for me as well since very few games were in play, but at least the bowling here is nice. The food there is a mixture of good and bad depending on what you get; I recommend getting the chicken tenders. They're amazing! But just a heads up, if you're eating at the restaurant, you might get looks from the elder staff since it's from the kids menu. (I say this because of a wonderful waitress that we had gave the both of us an attitude with ordering the food. She still gave us looks when we ordered the next day- we both ordered that amazing chicken tender meal.)

While we didn't stay in the family building, we have stayed at The Lodge since the cabins (where we usually stay) were all booked. It was still nice and peaceful for the most part, and we had nice views of the lake and the mountains.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I believe my days of visiting this once beloved place has come to an end. I'll still visit sometime, but staying here isn't really for me anymore. I wish all of the staff good luck in the future, and thank you all for being great, even the nice lady that kept looking at us. :)

I got sold a room that wasn't available upon arrival. Paid for Lakeview and got no view. Had promised a refund on the cost difference, never got refunded. It's a so so hotel with non existing management.

Aquapark is decent, and is the only reason I'm giving this 3 star review, otherwise it would've been no stars.
