Went on a Sunday and it was busy and me and my 4 year old played in the kids area and it's fantastic. Great value for money and my boy loves it every time we go

Honestly had a blast there, absolutely great fun for adults and family.
lots of outdoor space, chilling areas and places just to sit in the sun.
Had a blast with velocity and the black hole rides they are sublime!
Nevertheless improvement is needed in a few areas.
Cleanliness, the changing rooms were atrocious! Honestly, not mopped not cleaned and worst of all trash in most of them....
Second, appearance. The place needs to be shut for a few days and needs cleaning up, gum on the floor, rust everywhere and what's worse is the tower outside is completely rusted which made most people very nervous going in!
Third the band system doesn't work! So why have it?
Finally the showers don't work correctly. They need descaling! You try having a shower with water spraying everywhere or just dripping?
I hope they can improve by the next time I go because that place is fantastic!
Love this place. Kids have fun whilst I relax on a sun lounger. I am a scaredy cat so this is the best place for me. Been a few times now and can't wait for our next time.
We drove all the way to Cornwall for this place. It wasn't a disappointing day. In fact according to my kids it's the best place ever. Not too much queuing and the place really quietens down after 5. Changing rooms are a bit naf but who cares.
Slides were amazing. Took 3 kids (15, 13, 5)
Dissapointed that young kids can't go on your lap as you can at most other waterparks.
Also take a pound for the locker.
We payed by card and they don't have a button on their tills to charge you the pound and then give you it from the till like, yet again, most other parks do.
The real downer is the place is disgustingly dirty. I mean really dirty.
I tried to raise the issue with the manager who at first, tried to imply I was mistaken.
I went with him back to the changing rooms and thats when he said "If you are trying to get a refund then forget it"
Couldn't believe my ears.
Accusing a customer who raised a genuine complaint of being a freeloader.
I took pictures and video and am contacting head office and the local council enviormental health department.
Such a shame as the place has potential.
Great entertainment, clear website. Tried out different slides with the whole family. Despite vacation, don't wait too long.
Splashdown is a great waterpark with lots of slides and pools. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. The park operates both inside and out with some slides encorporating both. There are a range of slides with different slopes, turns and speeds. Overall it is a great place and definitely worth a trip
This is a perfect attraction for those who like a thrill.
Firstly, the queues for the early bird session actually weren't as long as we expected. they have a very efficient system to tell you if the slide is clear, and the harshness of the slide.
The Mississippi River Ride was a probably the most enjoyable, and yet gentle ride of all, where you sit on a ring with other people and go down a series of slides and pools. This was fun because you got to go with the people you came with right beside you. That is if you don't lose them down one of the slides!
There are lots of different slides inside and out and even the shortest session gives you enough time to go on all of them if you're not there at peak time. Overall a lot of fun!
Great indoor waterflume park based in a Poole retail park plenty of parking spaces as long as you are over a meter high you good to go. My boys enjoyed it 4 hours long they definitely would return again. Fun for the whole family. Enjoy
changing rooms need more staff as disgusting, out of 4 cubicles I had checked 3 had rubbish and one cubicle even had an old nappy in it!! if you have a family under 4, this is not the place for you, the kids pool is up 3 flights of stairs and right in the top corner of the complex the only bonus to this is that it saves you from getting trampled by every one who is running to go down the flumes barging in to you. the kiddies pool is ok and has a cool boat and a slide.
expensive for what it is in my oppinnion
1* for cleanliness
1* for poor staff attitude
3* for kids pool
will no be returning any time soon.
We came here with our 2 year old son. We got the reduced tickets which meant we couldn't use any of the slides which was fine as he wouldn't have been able to use them anyway. There really isn't much to do here for younger children. Just 2 small pools which were really not that great. They were also quite difficult to find as its not played out very well. One of the pools had water canons and a slide. The whole place is quite rundown and could really go with being completely renovated. The water was quite dirty with lots of good knows what floating in it.
Having visited a couple of times this year I have to say overall its superb, better than some waterparks I've been to abroad. Have always found the staff polite & helpful, ok it may not be the cheapest day out but I bet it costs a lot to run.
On our last visit the chlorine level did seem quite high but was not a huge problem, certainly did not spoil the day.
I could feel the joints on a couple of the flumes but its not as though they are brand new.
Had no issues with the cleanliness of the changing rooms either.
Overall a brilliant water park, will be visiting again soon!
Brilliant day out. Great family fun and water flumes for all levels of ability
Good fun for the kids, reasonably priced, especially during quieter times when you don't have the queue.
Great slides, would be nice if it had a pool as well
I had a great day! On my day out! I would suggest it is suitable for all swimmers! :)
The slides were great - a nice variety for different ages, I took 13 kids aged 8 to 10 who had great fun. Only issue is the number of people the venue admits mean that you will be wiring in excess of 15 mins. Still a great day out that the kids loved
Fantastic. I had a great time. Not for the timid. We went for the 6 hour session from 11-5. I was glad I did because as a first time person I don't think I could have done everything in 2 hours. I noticed in May half term that a lot of people went home at 5 so you could have a wonderful time in the cheaper evening sessions because there was no queue. There is NO swimming pool but there is a cafe, outdoor loungers, an out door sitting area. If you have a family from 7-21 who like swimming this would be a great day out that would suit them all. Your children must be able to confidently swim. There are toddlers areas, the most popular with the adults is the bubble pool. I saw quite a few parents sitting reading while their kids played in a safe fun environment. After there are a lot of meal choices in the area including a Tesco for those on a budget and a movie theater. Special note they weren't able to cater for my weird diet BUT we did buy other food so the cafe was happy for me to eat my egg free, wheat free, gluten free, dairy free lunch. Will be going back again.
Had a great day out here , facilities could do with a good clean and freshen up though
Great flumes but need more lifeguards to pay attention to the area they're controlling and limit the amount of groups of lads allowed in due to boystrous behaviour spoiling other younger children's enjoyment and safety
Definately one for older children 8+. We paid alot to get in. Two adults and the three under 7's went in the childrens pool that wasnt very big but there was no where else to go for that age. There was way too many people in there and the the queues were really long. We were in the water park for over 2hrs in the afternoon and we only managed 7 goes on the slides. We would go again but not until the rest of the kids are older.
Clean, fun and lots of choice of flumes. Limited options for smaller children. Can get very busy at weekends.
Great fun with the outdoor area open. Spent around 4hrs there. Nice to be able to use the cafe in swimwear.
Enjoyed this place. Great flumes. No normal swimming pool tho. Quick queues
We bought tickets for 6 hours, thinking we'd probably not use it all, but we had so much fun we ended up staying until the last few minutes on our tags. Fantastic fun for adults and kids, we all loved it.
Brilliant place but many people ignoring social distancing despite the numerous signs and announcements. Many (young) staff not wearing face masks or visors correctly but big shout out to (also young) Charlie who not only was wearing his visor correctly but was also asking people in his queue to move back to create space for social distancing. Really appreciated your efforts! Well done! Hope they get recognised internally too.
We went with 2 children just under 3, the only choices for slides is a 10cm "slide" and a much larger enclosed twisting slide. The girls were too small to go down themselves... The water at the bottom would be above their heads before they exited the slide..risk of drowning!! Parents are not allowed to go down with children.
Unfortunately neither child really enjoyed the tiny slide and were too small for the larger so we may as well have gone to a normal pool!!!
Was fine until a fight broke out in changing room Fing and Blinding which scared my little boy
Kids had the most amazing day here. I Struggled a little as I wear glasses full time but they can't be worn in the park. I did have a great time but feel like I missed some of the experience coz I couldn't see......it was expensive but as a once in a while treat it makes a great day out.
Very disappointed picture on website make kids pools like slot bigger. Was told by one lady I could wear my glasses to carry my son to flume but would need to take them off and secure them to ride the flame after waiting 20 minute on stair with my young son 3 got to top to be told I couldn't go down even if I removed my glasses and I couldn't even put on son down it so I had to fight my way back down stairs with my son where everyone is queing to get back down not safe at all.
Visited this place for the first time with my children, the flumes are great and the children had a great day , however it was very dirty and definitely in need of a cleaner , the staff around the centre were extremely rude and unhelpful , my daughter was almost dragged under the water by the pink rubber rings whilst a young girl just stood and watched as I was fighting my way through people to get to her, seems a lot of training needs to be given to these young rude workers , very disappointing especially after how expensive it is to get in ! Won't be returning in a hurry !
Pleasant for
children
Great slides. Some amazing. Great for entertaining the kids. Don't go there for a swim though, it ain't happening. Showers are mixed, changing rooms are very small. Price reasonable because you'll probably only go once!
Awesome water slides, a really fun day out! The Screamer is a great slide. Went on 2nd November and although it was very cold on the outside slides it was bearable. The only downside is the lack of pool and drinking water points in the park.
So expensive and when the pool is half empty they still ask you to get out, I d rather travel to romsey rapids
Did six hours here and it was fantastic, didn't want to leave! Definitely recommend to anyone who loves a water slide.
This experience was really fun and enjoyable Barrons revenge was really fast the rapids were funny. The only thing I didn t like was dragons lair
Took my daughters today. Very busy and concerned about the safety aspect of so many people there to ratio of lifeguards. Both my daughters got injured and complained the place was dirty.
Best indoor waterpark in the South Great day out loads of places to grab I bite afterwards in Tower park
Amazing place for party's and swimming days for fun
Good place for kids. It needs a bit of maintenance though.
Very nice. Good for bring family and children.
I like that place. Hot weather. Everything soo good.
This site is not covid safe. There is little or no social distancing.. If this suits you... It's fine. There was one lone voice.. But otherwise very liitle control.
Was a bit expensive but we stayed for a few hours to try and get our money worth. Great place to go for a treat if you can afford it. Kid's and I enjoyed all the rides and even when busy the wait wasn't too long for each one. Fantastic for a half term treat.
We had sooo much than we were expecting.
The only thing missing is flume rides allowing for than an individual on a float.
Today we visited this water park, it was amazing, fun for the whole family, just the best family activity
Great selection of flumes and most were open. The men's loos were pretty tiny for the amount of people in the park. It was very busy. We had the 11-12 turnup on a Sunday which was only a short wait to get in. Food portions from the cafe were large by default and pretty quick to serve.
Love the place great day nice slides friendly staff . Only thing what I didn't like was the price of the food and hot dogs were really expensive . Execpt for that loved it will be return soon
Kids loved it, but for adults a lot of outdoor slides which creates colder environment on cold days.
Clean, well layed out but a little confusing at a glance, great glooms.
Amazing, it's very spontaneous and great for kids although many are very high or fast which is technically a good thing!
Absolutely fabulous thoroughly enjoyed every minute, well worth a visit, kids will love it.
Loved it! Also special thanks to the staff from the food court for finding my husbands wallet! Saved the day! Really fun place for all ages!
Nice time with the family enjoyed all the flumes and spa pool , nice atmosphere and price isn't bad
Fun for about 30 minutes and then it starts to feel like you've paid to queue.
Went with the nephew, was good fun for a couple of hours!
Nice and clean. Well maintained. Gets busy in the holidays. Best time to go is at opening. Early bird tickets available.
Been here only once
Best place to take kid to have fun day
Took my 6 yr old boy. He absolutley loved it i enjoyed it myself. Definetly go again in the summer holidays.
It was good but the staff could be more friendly and I suggest eating somewhere else as there are lots of food places around, and also it's a waste of money despite all that the experience was incredible and I would love to go again
This was an awful experience. Although you have to book online and get a time slot, and apparently limited entry! It did not feel like that at all. Apparently normally 800+ capacity now down to 360. There was no social distancing measures, no one taking control of the queuing areas, directing or assisting.
The locker and changing areas are an utter joke, again no managing of the areas. One way system not adequate or outlined easily. A few staff members with masks/visers, and the staff I spoke to were very friendly but essentially not in control.
Advertised for a food package so we added, however no seating available because for some crazy unknown reason spectators are priority - why? Will now reduced seating for space in between why would you try to do both spectator and meal deal options. We ate ours in the car, after we left after one hour of a 3 hour paid for time slot!
I'm surprised this place has been allowed to continue in this manner, and how the local council think it is acceptable.
Well it has a wheelchair accessible changing room and for wheelchair users that's it. It's all up and down stairs, there's no ramps or lifts and the place is cluttered making moving around hard as well.
Had a great day today. The measures in place for Covid-19 where brilliant, the place was exceptionally clean and the staff were amazing.
Great fun. Pretty busy at times but queues not too bad.
Great waterpark overall, slides are good, staff are friendly. However on the Covid side, I ve been to the park multiple times in the past and reduced capacity doesn t seem much different to how they operate normally. Would even be tempted to say busier than previous visits. Social distancing in the park is good until you reach the changing rooms, from their it s just non existent so wouldn t recommend if you re quite conscious of staying socially distanced. Apart from that great experience!
Not great for kids less than 3m. They had 2 pools for toddlers. But one of them just pool. No extra fun plays. 2nd one very small with little fun plays.
It's ok. I have been with my boys several times now and the thing that gets me is how cold the place is. We only ever go for two hours, but I spend the whole of that time being very, very cold even on a summer day. Please warm the place up! Standing in LONG queues, wet and cold is miserable. I only go because my boys love it and the youngest isn't old enough to go in alone.
Also I agree with other reviews - too many people are allowed in at a time, so queuing for too long. All very well to say come out of season, but kids aren't allowed to skip school for a couple of hours at Splashdown!
Mixed opinions on some of the staff whilst some happy to help with a smile and sense of humour others obviously didn't want to be their and wouldn't interact. Would go again.
