Customers do not respect the rule of silence at all. We went to relax and finally we were surrounded by people who spoke. Do not whisper, speak loudly in spas and saunas. To the point of hearing the whole conversation. We had to ask other customers to be quiet. There was even a lady who was talking on the phone. VERY disappointed with our experience at Polar Bear's Club.

Quite. Not bad service. Not enough parking slots. Need to walk by highway from parking location to get to the place.

The spa was great and I would go back for that. We booked a massage and the quality of very low. I requested a deep tissue massage and what I got was light rubbing of oil all over my body. No attention was paid to the target areas I specified on my intake sheet. I tried to just relax and enjoy it for what it was, but the experience was strange and I would have enjoyed my time there more if I had foregone the massage treatment. The massage therapists are apparently certified, but both my friend and I had a similar experience. To be honest, it seemed that they had no formal training.

I'm a returning customer and enjoy the spa very much.

However, they have HORRIBLE PHONE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Absolutely unfriendly, uninformed, unaccommodating and without empathy or the willingness to help. For a luxury service, they have employees working their phones who clearly do not care about their clients or their experience.

Lack of worrying hygiene! I'm going out of the doctor's office. I have a Folliculitis hot bath at my passage through this spa. In other words spa too busy, water test not or little done and inneficacious treatment. Pretty silly for a spa of this size and the price!

FYI: Hot water favors germs or bacteria called Pseudomonas spp. to grow (especially if there is not enough chlorine in the water to keep it clean). Bathing in this "soup" of bacteria can increase your risk of folliculitis. This type of folliculitis is usually prevented by proper maintenance of hot tubs.

Love going here for a quick getaway from the city. It's about an hour's drive out of Montreal, depending on traffic.
When you get there, it's quiet, serene, the river just outside flowing brings me to a scenic place to unwind. The change room is spacious, if going late at night, there is generally less people. The different sizes and themes of the hot spas are lovely. Enjoyed the cave spa, very cozy. The steam and sauna rooms are clean and very nice. The cold tubs are perfect for in between the steam & sauna use. It is relaxing in the little igloo hut outside.
This spa sometimes offers deals during the week. I reckon going during the week is better than the weekend.
I have gone here a couple of times, and it's very relaxing each time. It's an excellent way to pamper oneself.

Worst experience of relaxation ever. People are very loud and they do not respect the rule of silence. There is a lack of cleanliness in the entire spa - especially the bath tubs are not clean and the water is not very hot. Even if you purchase a spa access, Polar Bear doesn't give you a towel - It is not hygienic, especially when it comes to sit in the steam sauna. The quality of the spa has decreased significantly.

Typical spa, nothing too special. The spa was at full capacity and they didn t let us wait in the lobby. It was the middle of January and we had to walk back to our car in the freezing cold and wait for them to call us. Parking is located far if you don t get there early enough.

Situated up north in a scenic location clean and quiet relaxing with a stream running through has several choices of hot and cold baths and a lovely little terrace to have a light meal. Bathrobes towels and locks can be rented for your visit

Super nice place but super noisy on weekends. Whispering is allowed but people speak extremely loud and the staff do not control a minimum of silence. The attendant was kind enough to give us a refund. This place is supposedly a place of relaxation however impossible for me to do it labas.

Charming welcome, beautiful site. No very hot baths. They are all 98 degrees. The steam room is wow. I think my favorite of all I've done.

The biggest problem is the location of the units. In certain places, when you get out of the heat, you have time to be cold before going to the cold source ....

Which is very cool, in a lot of places we can chat.

There is only one comfortable relaxation room. No outside fire, but it was getting wet.

Visit from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Many options to rest your tired bones. Steam room and saunas are a good size. Bring extra towel.

I really liked!! It is relatively very large and so bright no matter where we are (eg the steam bath is bathed in lights through its large window that overlooks the outside). The staff are friendly. The view of the Montsgnes and the sound of the flowing river are truly extraordinary. I liked that there were places where people could whisper, which made the other baths quiet. 5 stars!

The first spa I went back several times.

Pros:
- Not too crowded (maybe because we went on a not too busy day - Tuesday)
- The food at the restaurant is light and complete the experience
- The view is stunning
- Price is super worth it (Black Friday Deal: 2 for 1 )
- The staff is caring and friendly
- You can dip in the river in summer and winter

Cons:
A bit far if you don t have a car (but not impossible)

If you don t have a car
- Get some cash
- From Montreal, take the train to Saint-Jerome
- Go to the Gare intermodale, buy a 2 ways tickets
- Ask the same lady that gave you the ticket where s the exact bus to go to Piedmont
- The bus drops you at the crossroads, 2 min walk from the entrance

In general, the spa is ok. The surrounding environment is great. But if you are from Montreal and just come for Spa, it is not worth it to drive +1h. The part needs mostly to be improved is the change room. Really too small and not enough showers. My friends left without taking shower and I waited long time and you are so crowed in the change room. The sights are great but the pools are not matched to the sights.

Only reason it didn't get five stars was for the parking which is a nightmare.

Pros:
- There are many bath and resting nooks, quite a large spa
- The massage therapist I had was amazing
- The place, indoors and outdoors, is aesthetically pleasing

Cons:
- The spa is located between highway 15 and the 117, which results in a loud and unrelaxing atmosphere. Not what you would expect for a relaxing spa experience... You can even hear the highway inside the massage therapy room, which unfortunately completely ruined my massage experience, despite the amazing massage therapist I had.
- The locker rooms are extremely small given the amount of people they let in. Keep in mind this is during covid, where they supposedly reduced their maximum capacity.
- If you are worried about being close to people and catching covid, avoid this place. Before reserving my massage, they advised that they reduced their maximum capacity, but I found this very hard to believe when I was there... The place was packed. Of course, you have to wear your mask when you are indoors, but when walking outdoors, most people do not wear masks. This would be ok if you could stay at least 2m from people, but the layout of the spa makes it impossible to keep your distance with others. You cannot avoid being within 2m of people when walking from baths, to nooks, to saunas, etc. The pathways are very narrow.
- In the saunas, many people were having loud conversations. I could understand whispering, but having group conversations and laughing quite loud is not what I would have expected in a spa...
- The baths were not as hot as I would have expected. This is coming from a person who doesn't like scolding hot baths, but the hottest bath they had was just not hot enough to keep warm on colder days.. The max they have is 98F.

Super nice place. Massage therapists are welcoming and competent. We tried the spa pools, the dry sauna and the steam room .... We did not regret! To repeat.

I have nothing to say about the massage I received! By cons, the facilities are not up to par compared with other spas close enough to Polar Bear's. My girlfriend and I went out of the baths after only 10 minutes since we had cold inside !!! Quite expensive thanks for a lukewarm spa. It was the first time we experienced such a situation. It was the last time for me ...

Zero refund policy, watch out before buying. Not a bad spa set up, but unwillingness to accommodate following a change of plans will keep me from buying there again.

The Spa was ok.But music was so depressing.Hope they will play something relaxing instead of horror music.

Nice place, but close early (21hlun & mar and sea) and we were fired at 8:45 under the pretext that we must be outside the site for 21h! In short, it is a lack of professionalism on the part of the employees who are so anxious to finish their shift that they push the customers out

Authentic Nordic spa, you can even bathe in the frigid river throughout the winter months. Great variety, very clean, attentive staff.

Nice day at Polar Bear. Beautiful site. A little flat for my taste. Bistro ok. Pedicure too expensive for the quality received.

The towels are too small and rough. Only one place to change wet towels should have another place being that it is done along 500m long it is far winter to change the towels. do not turn on during the day to warm up. By cons very nice employees and very good massage.

AVOID BISTRO. THEY WILL LOSE YOUR TICKET AND THEN BLAME YOU.

You need more than one waitress on Saturday at lunch time. We waited literally one hour for our food to arrive. Drinks were done by that point. EDIT THEY LOST OUR TICKET AND DIDN'T BRING US FOOD AFTER AN HOUR WAIT AND AFTER SHE CAME TO TELL US WE WERE NEXT FOR FOOD.

The lady at reception was very nice and dealt with it effectively. Avoid the bistro if you don't want your relaxation totally ruined. They lost our ticket and blamed us for waiting an hour. Then they made us pay for the ALCOHOLIC beverages we ordered (which you can't order without food, ha ha) and never provided us with the food we ordered.

Nice but way too expensive. Probably expensive to maintain and pay staff so...

The place is good but every visit there is at least a closed bath. The locker rooms are poorly adapted (only one toilet in the bathroom of women and it is always busy csr are the ones who like to change in front of everyone) prices are too high for the access we have. In short I loved this place a few months ago but next time I will go somewhere else

Nice place and impeccable customer service. On the other hand a lot of steps to do to go of basin in brew and the rest area ... otherwise in general I really like. The grote in a hot pool is fun as experience. A sauna in the water :)

In terms of value and quality. This is not a great spa.

It is nice. It has a serene environment...but it's also next to 2 VERY busy highways. So, it's loud.
I had to turn my phone's speaker on during my massage because the cars driving by were too noisy.

During Covid, we noticed the establishment was not very attentive to crowd control. They do not take appointments for the baths. So, it's a first come first serve basis....line up out the door before it even opened.

During a pandemic, the establishment is doing the bare minimum to ensure safe conditions for its staff and patrons. Over crowding and failure to scatter appointment times lead to a packed locker room with maskless patrons subjected to a VERY small room with no traffic flow. Not relaxing at all.

My last issue is why I will never return.



Sub zero temperatures out side. Baths cant even warm your body to its standard operating temperature...

For a place that requires more walking around than most water parks...I would expect the "thermotherapy" to be more thermo than my resting body temperature.

Youre better off making a bath at home with nice candles and a bath bomb!

Me and my boyfriend tried the spa experience for the first time during our visit on March 16th. Arriving the customer service clerk was already stupid with us. I found it flat. But the rest was great! The site is very beautiful and there are several hot baths!

Ordinary spas! You have to generate the whirlpool bath mechanism yourself and the force of the jets is very weak. There is better elsewhere.

Very nice place, the installation is interesting, but the service is poor, it took them a lot at the reception to make us smile. And nothing was well indicated, it was hard to know where we were and what type of bath we were going to.

To relax ... calm and relaxing atmosphere. Not too crowded (day, weekdays), spaces to change spacious, clean and offer beautiful amenities. A nice variety of hot baths, cold, river, benches, etc ... rest and calm guaranteed!

Completely unnecessary and unrealistic regulation,

It is completely FORBIDDEN to speak on all of the Polar Bear's Club installations. This makes it completely pointless and pointless to want to plan a stay there as a couple or with friends.

The management of the Polar Bear's Club puts pressure on their employees to force them to patrol the premises in search of offending customers and to aggressively harass its latter.

No alternative is offered, even to install basic voice zones or reasonable tone zones.

This leaves me to ask you two questions:

1- Why do you insist on imposing this absurd regulation on your loyal customers when, according to my observations, at least 90% of them were clearly not in agreement with this regulation?

2- If you are so proud and confident of this regulation, why not let your customers know before, during and after the purchase of a day pass at the reception and this even when you explain the regulations and the "map" of the site?

Good value for money with discounts at $ 25 Otherwise it's not the Finnish spa but it's still pleasant with all the basic equipment

Too expensive and too crowded. There is no relaxation possible here because it is on the edge of highway 15 so if we obliterate the fact that it is always full of people and that obviously we hear everyone talking, there is the noise of passing cars. The pools are very small and widely spaced from each other.

Really relaxing Spa. Open year round and fun in any weather

I saw a lot of comments here that said it is completely forbidden to speak on the premises ... I wanted to see for myself and I did well to go anyway because we were able to speak in low voices all day without being warned. (We went Sunday September 6, 2020)
Nice place, it's very clean. The bistro is good if, like me, you don't want to eat a big meal.
A lot of stairs too, for my part I found that they were correct, not too steep and that a few steps at a time, I have already gone to a spa which had a lot more!
Highway; yes it is close, no it is not that disturbing, but no traffic either that day.
The only negative point we found is that in the indoor seating areas it is not hot enough. Otherwise everything else is fine, my partner and I had a great day!

I love spas, I love spas a lot. I have been to spas all over the world. I don't mind spending my hard earned money on spas. POLAR BEAR CLUB IS 100% NOT A SPA!!!!!!!! It is an over priced pool with a masseuse on staff. I went with my friend, her mother and her boyfriend. We paid the full day price EACH which is $57 with tax. Once you walk past the re done fancy reception desk you walk out onto a out dated and poorly maintained deck. The veiw looks straight onto a highway and its just a bunch of lukewarm tubs next to a creek. I was trying my hardest to not be completely disappointed and enjoy my time at this place. They have absolutely NOTHING to do except quiet rooms for napping. I know spas are "a relaxing place" but I didn't come to soak in a highly chlorinated tub and take a nap next to a highway!! EVERY other spa I've been to has special sauna's and scrubs and activities. Like put some salt in a bucket and slap it next to a shower and call it a scrub..... They aren't even trying.

We grabbed lunch at the bistro which the service was SO POOR. No one greeted us or told us it was table service or helped us with the menu but they didn't really have to because it's like 5 items of over priced salads and sad sandwiches. I got the $14 grilled cheese. Yup. F*cking $14 dollars for a grilled cheese.



My friends mom tried to book a massage and only had cash on her at the moment. They don't take cash so she said she would be right back with her card and when she came back they said that they only had that one free slot and they gave it to someone else when she went to get her card. Like..... I don't even know what to say anymore. The way it's marketed is a spa when it's not. It's a pool by the highway. After about 2 hours and the security gaurd popping out of nowhere to stare into our tub for another 10 minutes we decided to leave.

We made a formal complaint and the girl at the desk just wanted us to fill out a sheet and maybe send us some discount cards for another visit. There is NO WAY I'd ever come back. I know handling upset customers is terrible for her too but she was rude, unhelpful and finally just refunded us all our entrance fees to shut us up and stop us from tying up the line. Which was filling up as after 6pm the entrance fee drops to $30.

She obviously realized we weren't going to be sent off with a "promise we'll call you and send you some discount cards". She also knew exactly which security gaurd we we're complaining about so obviously there's been some complaints about the "tall bald guy" before.

Don't go here. It's not how it's marketed. It's really not worth it.... Just so disappointed.

And on a side note the sauna is looking REALLY rough and in desperate need of an update. They also don't tell anyone to sit on towels and put their feet on TOWELS which is standard hygienic spa ettiquitte.

Over all it was ok, although it was annoying that there are people walking around to tell you not to speak even in the areas that silence is not mandatory. Kinda ruined the day. Not going back.

Hello, last summer I went to polar bears club. I had a wonderful experience. Unfortunately I had forgot my Bathing suit in a small white bag in the women's restroom.The swimsuit was a two piece Red and white with a white flower and also a black short legging. Very nice experience! The spa was uncrowded, despite the limit in the baths we were able to go where we wanted. Very clean and the view is breathtaking! I highly recommend you to go there. Although I believe that all indoor facilities including saunas are closed so don't count on it. In addition there are also sun loungers to rest and watch nature.

A full day of relaxation. Welcoming staff. Several services offered. A clean, modern place surrounded by nature. Accessible prices, ideal alone, as a couple or with friends. Do not hesitate.

Superb place! I have been going for over 15 years. The place is renovated from year to year. The new bistro is delicious and affordable. The river is beautiful. The locker rooms are clean! Beautiful spa!

Me and my boyfriend went to Polar Bear during the winters and we loved the place, very beautiful and large (3-4 baths, spa, sauna etc, warm chalet style decoration and there is a section where we can talk. The river is Wow, that's what I'm coming back to this summer.

By cons, in the bathroom, it lacked soaps, care / cream and the floor was not clean. The cloakroom is the other side of the walkway to reach the reception, and the bistro is in dire need of a renovation.

The location is idyllic on one side, but there's a highway nearby, it's overpriced, full of upsells, crowded. The only saving grace is that the massage was good.

Extremely disappointed.

We had received a gift card and intended to use it with coupons ($ 25 spa access) available everywhere. Unfortunately they refused our payment method. Completely ridiculous, if we had received an amount of money instead of a gift voucher, we would have saved half of the entrance ticket. In short, do not buy gift cards you will be penalized.

The supervisor's response to our comment was filled with arrogance and condescension.

Questionable business decision. Polar Bear will have lost customers for life.

Beautiful and calm place. The yurth is not hot enough so few people go there. The bubbles in the hottest spa do not work. The message is given in an exceptional way. Long to have an answer on the phone by cons.

perfect place, perfect day. me and my partner took the valentine's package and we went on a holiday Friday, even if the parking lot was full, once on site, there are so many baths, saunas and relaxation areas that we still felt almost alone. the employees are super nice. the problem of slippery floors has been taken very seriously since I have seen employees add salt several times a day. only small problem: 3 showers and 3 toilets in the changing rooms ... otherwise I intend to go back !! I highly recommend the bistro also the food is delicious and Madame Sylvie is a pearl

Worst experience ever , the spa is really small just a hot tub and sauna no real feeling to it could of been in my backyard the massage was great that why I still have two stars but I m was soo upset I wanted to cry , I rather go anywhere More

A business that has no appreciation for its customers, we go back for the 4th time and we denied access to the spa after 45min car because of too much traffic ... However once at the counter they only accept those who pay the big price for massage. We ended up going across the river to the SPA Bagni to finally see that the center was far from busy.

Attentive service and always and always and always and always and always 7 stars @!

It used to be great but we didnt have a great experience the last couple of times, it's way too packed, the water was dirty and some saunas were out of order.
