Over all it was ok, although it was annoying that there are people walking around to tell you not to speak even in the areas that silence is not mandatory. Kinda ruined the day. Not going back.

A great place to go to get away from the hustle and bustle, but it is on the pricy side which makes it a little less enjoyable, but definitely worth a visit.

The $ 20 bath package after 6 p.m. is a scam. DO NOT PURCHASE A PROMOTIONAL COUPON!

Before moving, we called several times and wrote several times on the chat ... without response. However, having seen what was written without a reservation, we moved. When we arrived, at 6:00 p.m., we were told that there was a waiting list of 80 people and to come back early in the morning when it opened. How do we get in at 6:00 p.m. then, if there is a huge waiting list that seems to be perpetual?

However, as we do not have a package in the morning, but at 6 p.m., I pointed out to the lady that the package does not allow us to arrive in the morning. She tells me that it can be applied as a gift coupon. I then point out to him that this means that the promotion is no longer valid, since it amounts to paying a normal day.

Needless to say, it's non-refundable. A SCAM.

The site is nice in itself with a pleasant view of the frozen river and the ski slopes in the distance.

Then, I think that they were wrong target for their customers, the external employees allow themselves to take us from above and to speak to us as to children to ask us to be silent because we must not speak in the central bath .
We were 2 groups, 2 and 3 people, and everyone whispered ... Everyone was respectful of their neighbor ... However, I was surprised to be taken advantage of by one of the employees who came to me "scold" my friends and I because we were just talking. The last sentence was: it's 2 warnings and then it's the exit!

For a spa that claims to be luxury and with such high prices, they should first review their method of customer satisfaction and the way they address us.

beautiful spas, well maintained !! however the bistro is expensive for the mediocre quality of the food.

Great place to relax! Always a lot of people if you go during the busy time. Great service as well, and its right next to the outlets so you can get some shopping done before or after the spa! The only thing i didn't really like was the eucalyptos sauna, the scent was just too strong for me, it's like i couldn't breath. But it is still a great place to relax with your significant other!

Loud spa, average customer service but superb massage therapy and great prices

The renovation are a wind a fresh air. But it is noisy, full of tourist and staff does nothing to make people observe basic rules... People talk loudly and nobody says nothing. People put there towel on the fire place / oven in the dry spa, an employee gets in to check and says nothing... I don't want to breath somebody else sweat evaporating and it's not nice to look at. Otherwise the location is great.

What to say! The 1 star for the location which is pretty and big.
Our experience was a real disaster! There were 2 of us and we are 2 regulars at the spa and treatment center. We had never had such an experience, we had paid for a signature maple treatment which was $ 156 with taxes which lasted maximum 30 min of treatment. 15 min late for the massage therapist (I took a photo of the hour in the cabin) 15-20 mins of application all wrong with the product without any explanation, Then she left the room to let the product work 15 mins minimum ... then she entered the room and gave us a 10 min leg and arm "massage"!
There were two of us receiving care and when we were in the waiting room we heard one of the technicians explaining to the other how to do the care ... so the staff are in no way competent to perform the care.
I then received another treatment which was also ordinary ...
Our day cost us over $ 400 to be disappointed. I would like to mention that on the treatment coupons it was well written that he should have a Swedish massage included, and one of the therapists was not masso so had no idea how to do it. And does he sell his care as their signature? In addition to the billing errors we had .. they told us on the phone that the treatment was 1h15 minimum, we had 30 mins Max !!!
We talked about our dissatisfaction at the reception which offered us nothing, nor any explanations, she even told us that she herself did not like this care. (So why offer it?)
In addition to the bathrobe not included, the fact that it does not change towels for free, dirty wet saunas ... etc I consider that going to this spa is theft! With so many other wonderful spa options nearby, they should have their customer service reviewed.

We went on a saturday afternoon. Place was busy and not quiet. people were talking in quiet areas. Massage was really good.

Nice enough spa for relaxing and thermotherapy. On the side of Highway 15, so you see and hear the cars (one the big downside of this spa). People are allowed to whisper, so if that bothers you it's not the right place for you. Otherwise, nice facilities : hot tubs (not hot enough in my opinion), hammam (very nice) and sauna (very nice too), cold basins and the river. The relaxing areas are not particularly nice compared to other spas, and they really lack places for couples (no beds, double chairs, any place to be together). If you have discounts, you'll have the best value for your money.

From the beginning it has been the cao in all its forms at this place. There is so much to say but so much! They broke the law a few times I'm speechless. Since the reopening of July 4, people just can't believe it. I will avoid expressing their procedures so as not to frighten the few people there who want to work or go there. Very sad atmosphere ... not to say not to feel respected and appreciated.

It s beautiful, however, a bit far away to be able to relax. I will favor a closer spa. Can be very busy too.

Great spa overall. Massages are always good. Different types of sauna, steam room and hot tubs of varying temperatures. You can also cool off in the river or cold pools. Lots of areas to lounge and relax, multiple fireplace during winter. Small bistro is also available if you get hungry.

I came to this place for a massage and the spa was included. My massage was beyond amazing. Max did an excellent job. I loved the whole experience. The view is beautiful and the nature is breathtaking. The place is not too crowded which is great. Overall I was very satisfied with my experience. The only thing I would suggest is to provide larger towels.

All the same good. Very good little bistro. However, it lacks the magic touch. Being caught between 15 and 117 does nothing. Unless you have a good discount, I recommend going elsewhere.

6 reception workstations, but only 2 attendants, 25 people waiting. It is often so. Less and less interest in going there

I lost my robe there and the people was not helpful at all. I am surprised for their unorganization. It is extremely easy to take other customer's belongings. This is not the first time customer lost their clothes and this will not be the last time. I do not recommend you this place.

It's two crazy that I go and always so delighted. Try to find discount coupons, it's worth it. Make a full day and you will be delighted.

The service at the entrance is super slow, the receptionists are stupid, I waited 12 minutes on the phone before having an answer there are so many silent signs everywhere it becomes assaulting the eucalyptus sauna so strong sense c is unpleasant but everything else is perfect

Two accesses to the river, hot and cold baths, saunas, relaxation areas, bistro, treatments ... everything is there in a peaceful atmosphere!

My wife and I had been there before and really enjoyed our stay. We had taken a package for a hike and zipline not very far from Polar Bear's as well as a massage and access to the baths. It had been an excellent day. The two people who gave us our massage had done a very good job.
The facilities were really great too. I really don't understand the people who complain about steps or how to get around sonas and other facilities.
Very clean place and yes sometimes people talked a little but we didn't find anything too over the top at the time.

Also, the person in customer service by phone is friendly and courteous.

Negative:

I honestly would have given 5 stars as we really enjoyed our stay.

Having said that, this year we are going back but with a big disappointment.

The first time we were in the same room for our message and we found it very nice. We both chose a Swedish massage.

This time we are going again for massage and bath but my wife wants a therapeutic massage and I still Swedish. Unfortunately despite our indications that we are celebrating our wedding anniversary, we are told that we cannot be in the same room for massages. We are told that we must choose the same type of massage because it would be difficult to know which masseur to place where and we were given other reasons but which do not take away our feeling.

Huge disappointment...

It remains to be hoped that it will still be as pleasant in terms of noise, quality of place and massage as last year.

Management has made a bad choice since the start of this new year
by allowing "whispering" on the entire site except for one bath. So this is no longer a spa for which you pay but rather hot baths. Try to relax when you had to bear the tasteless conversations of some on their boyfriend and others on their problems at the office, not to mention the little couples who believe it is important to share with us their laughter and other uplifting nonsense. And nobody on the horizon, except for the bath located near the massage rooms to obtain silence ... and again there it took constant interventions to maintain it. No one else for a minimum of respect. If you want to hang up, unless you have plugs go elsewhere. Too bad we really appreciate the beauty of the site and the facilities but the irritants do not go hand in hand with what we should expect from a spa. This is a miscalculation of the owner and a lack of respect for his customers.

Excellent, a weekday evening for less traffic. Excellent massage therapy service. Several baths available, big traffic in the main bath ... must know how to change;)

Too many people so we could not get home ... they refunded my passes but weekend lovers in the water. Normally it's fine but you have to go there during the week

Hated the site, too narrow, to my opinion the site is very poorly designed. Cheap access but not worth the buck spent, I suggest trying another if you have high expectations!

All good except the hot baths are not hot and personnel at reception could use customer service training.
On a positive note, massage was great and the Steam sauna is the best I've seen!

The massages are very good! New well-appointed entrance. Sometimes too many people and personally I find that it opens late.

Unfortunately execrable service ..
When I checked on the site before introducing myself, we were very well advised that we did not have to bring a towel as it was provided as well as the padlock.

When we arrived we are surprised to learn that nothing is provided.
We decided to rent each a robe and a towel and share our locker.

I found the service casi non-existent. Nobody came to know if we were satisfied. The fireplaces were not lit and it was very cold! There were repairs which made us hear hammer noises next to our heads all the time. Indoor installation locations are very poorly insulated

When we went to the bistro we were very happy with the meal but very little of the service. The lady who had served us ... only had us as a guest and seemed to me to be the end of the world when we wanted details on the menu of the day. She passed me a condescending comment during the payment. We did not enjoy my girlfriend and me.

We do not intend to return to this place unfortunately.

I loved my experience at Polar Bear's Club! My partner and I received very good massages and took advantage of the hot baths. Great site in nature, we completely forget the city!

Since the renovations, the layout of the facilities is not at all optimal. The changes came at the expense of relaxation. Since the reception is at the end, you have to pass in front of one of the hot baths to go to the changing room, so impossible to relax in this bath because everyone passes within 1 meter of this bath when arriving and leaving.
Since COVID, they have almost doubled their price, utterly ridiculous and abusive!
Not to mention that lately their hot baths are not even hot. Usually I can't stay more than 10 minutes in a row in the thermal baths because I am so hot. This time, I was there for over 2 hours without even feeling hot since the baths were body temperature. Even my bath at home is hotter than that! Isn't that the main reason for going to a spa, to enjoy HOT baths ?!
Anyway, I don't recommend the Polar Bear Spa, unless you manage to get your hands on some 2 for 1 specials, don't spend the full price, you will be disappointed!

My favorite place to relax in the Laurentians. The location is great and swimming in the river in the summer adds a plus to the experience.

The spa was great with a lot of different options including saunas, pools, hot tubs. It was also a very good price because we went after 6pm. Just make sure to bring a pair of flip flops because they ll make you buy a pair.

Superb! There is a student discount, on the other hand, I recommend bringing a towel and bathrobe, renting them is a bit expensive.

Very peaceful, very relaxing .... small flat; the space in the lockers is really limited! We walk on our feet ...

We had to wait an hour before entering because there was a waiting list (we were there at around 5 pm on a Sunday), there is not enough parking space, and once you're lucky to find a spot, you have to walk on a road facing cars driving at least 70 km/h , because there is no sidewalk. To my surprise, the staff in the reception are the least welcoming staff I've met. The place itself is pretty big, saunas and pools feel cozy (but some pool do smell like chemicals). The kitchen is small, not much choice (the food is delicious, thought). Overall, the place is nice, but for the price I was expecting a better service, or at least a more smiley staff.

Clean place and well maintained. Confusing to get around however, no English signs anywhere inside the areas. Tourists have a hard time navigating through the different areas, they are all in french. Many places to relax and a good variety of saunas, hot baths and cold baths.

Home worthy of a primary school! I do not recommend this SPA at all to come and relax ... the staff lack professionalism and have certainly not become aware of the place in which they work!

Good spa. People talk a bit more at this one than more fancy spas but its nice and offten you can get discounts.

Last minute they called me to change the reservation, after the massage I was really disappointed, the massage therapist touched me as if she did not want, she did not touch my feet, the place is not clean and the baths either, first and last time

A bit expensive, but great experience. Can't use gift card and special together. And some special dont give you a lock, bathrobe and towel. Bring a reusable water bottle as they sell some but they have water fountains to fill it up. Bistro have fair prices and reasonable sizes

The place is superb and the bistro is good! On the other hand, the employees at the reception often seem jaded, chatting in their corner of their weekend. Not very warm.

We also came during work: baths and saunas were closed and we were all crammed into what was left open. No rebates to fill this gap.

Amazing place to visit and forget all life stress with an amazing scenes and kind staff and clean place and good prices. Look forward to visit again.

Very nice place, but it often happens that a bath is closed

I went there with my friend Jan 16, 2018, and I didn t like the fact that there were additional hidden fees like the bathrobe and the plastic flip-flops. I was quietly disappointed cause these are the kind of things that should be included with the locker. So that s 25$~ right there + 50$ for your regular entry. You should be more honest about your pricing on your website and be accurate about the things that are included and the things I need to have, especially for people who are going there for the first time.

Besides the inconveniences I stated, it's a great spa.

Good points:
-the employees are professional and courteous
- the place is big
-the changing rooms are clean
-the river is soothing and pleasant to observe
- sometimes they offer good promotions!

Negative points:
- the rule of silence is not really respected, there were people who spoke much too loudly
- hot baths are not really hot ... especially when it's cold outside they should be warmer
- the relaxation areas are ordinary (compared to other spas)

Good points; the locker rooms are large and clean.

There were three of us and we found that the water in the "hot baths" was not hot enough.
Since there are a lot of people it talks a lot, even in places where it is forbidden to speak.

We went to eat at the little bistro, it was very cold and even after telling them nothing had changed. We even noticed that the back door of the bistro was open while we were in our dressing gown.

My experience was really not great, Normally a spa is a place of relaxation ... We could not relax since in all the baths and surprisingly even the saunas, people spoke NO place was silent. The relaxation areas are due for a little refreshment of modernity and comfort since in addition to having very chatty people in the rooms, the chairs are really not comfortable to relax. It was not a little whisper, people were talking about everything and nothing very loudly and no employee maintaining calm and silence on the contrary had also spoken. In short, I liked the Polar Bear, but recently the quality of the spa has decreased a lot. VERY DISAPOINTED !!

Everything to relax! We rented a loft and at first we were surprised that there was no TV, but then we really got off the hook! In addition we have 15% discount on some nearby restaurants with our bill :) Only weak point: the baths do not close at 8:45 am ... I would have preferred to take advantage of it longer

The polar bear is hit or miss some times you can go and its perfect and other days you can go and the bathrooms are dirty the staff are up tight.
What i really dont like is you have to walk all the way up to the main lobby to change your towels. Why not have a room near the changing areas? The message is over priced and not really deep tissue. At 50.00 for the bath's its over priced.
