Spent an afternoon before busy Easter weekend and front desk staff were courteous and professional. Massage was amazing quality and again very professional service. Overall excellent value for money with a Tuango combo deal and don t understand why people complain. Clean and awesome experience. Would recommend and come back again.

Stolen boots (not enough space inside the lockers, but apparently the space is at our own risk, despite everybody letting their boots outside and no warning signs). Disastrous customer service. Not a relaxing place, people speak loudly, the atmosphere and crowd are very unpleasant.

Saunas are closed without notice. They charge a monthly ... cancellent services and your subscription ... keep your money. Polar is a mainrenant FACTORY for tourists ... and followers are real SPA pad will be well received ... and will be very well served. total failure.

Too much normal for a Saturday, but perfect service, it is a real place of relaxation and their massage is just wow it goes.

Beautiful spa, large and well-equipped changing room. The spa water is okay, not too hot but I think when it gets a little colder something will have to be done because people will definitely be cold.

The relaxation areas are quite ordinary, not comfortable enough, folding chair.

I also like the fact that the employees are courteous and respectful. Some other spas are so in noise monitoring mode that it becomes redundant.

The comments I see here from some people who get full of noise I find its special. The spa is located next to a falling river, so already at the base there is noise outside all along.

The bistro is good too.

Very nice facilities, but no on-site staff to enforce the normal rules of a spa. People were talking in the sauna and spa ... it was ridiculous. $ 158 later I'm not more relaxed. Also a bit of an attitude on the part of the reception!

Completely unacceptable that they refuse to take my call. After calling 5 times they connected me to another customer who also had questions. It s clear they don t care about the world.

I called five time and got out on hold for over 30 minutes. Eventually I got connected but it was to someone else who was also calling in asking questions. It's clear that they don t give a damn about their clients and don t deserve to have any in my opinion

Enjoyed every momeny. Peacful and quiet environment. We will be coming back !

But this is just an unrealistic great place, thank you very much for the rest !!!

WORST SPA EXPERIENCE EVER !! DONT GO THERE
1- lack of cleanliness in general, the baths, rest area, bathrooms were really dirty
2- the indoor rest areas were not well heated, we were cold and we were shivering
3- the lady stopped the spa when someone spoke there (she stopped the bubbles) = we bathe in our grime = ruin the experience at the spa = we feel at the small school or with a prison guard = disrespect = unsanitary (no less water filtration) = worst spa experience of my life
4- very average massage, the massage therapist counted my life all along, I felt like I was the therapist myself (ie the psychotherapist)

Soothing stay in a dream environment. I go back and highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed. The site is huge and you don't feel the presence of others. You can even dip into the river. .. cold cold in early March. Good lunch at the restaurant if you want to eat and to follow your adventure.

You close the Spa when you need to come after a long day of work. I think you need to go back to the schedule before covid .... like other spa in the area.

Went there on the weekend of Dec,14 2014. Absolutely loved it!! One of the guys changing room was a little small but the other one had plenty of space. 3/4 of the staff was very nice and the rest not so much. We were 4 friends and we had a really good time. If I had to suggest something I would tell them to make the area where you can speak normally (the non silent area) larger. About 1/4 of the spa is non silent area and the rest you have to be really quiet. They should make it half half. Other than that really nice experience. :)

First off, it is extremely dangerous to get from the parking #3 to the spa as we have to walk on a 90km/hour road in the dark without any lights. We actually had to run in the snow on the side hoping not to slip or get hit by a car. Also, very disappointed as I bought a certificate at a Polar Bears booth in Montreal and the woman specifically told me that it would include every cost including taxes, robes and water bottles. She told me it was an amazing deal and that is why I bought it but when I drove an hour to go there they told me I had to pay a differential and that robes and water bottles are never included and there is nothing they can do about it.

Most favorite spa. Go and try to find their little cards they have in most Canadian Tire and few other boutiques; that gives you a 2 for 1 entry. The base price without coupon is too expensive, but with the discount it's all worth it. My go to spa, I adore this place.

If you are a millennial that needs your phone in a hot tub or like to text your friends in the relaxation room then this is your spot. Way too many cell phones and way too much talking. Way too many people (it was during holiday) allowed in. The most unrelaxing spa. Only one person got stopped for taking group photo in the tubs but the phones appear to be allowed. Bistro has great food but way too small. The lockers are way too small. No added touches like plastic bags for bathing suit or creams or anything special in this spa.

Has changed a lot since the time I go there. You can talk everywhere except in the bath that is on the way between the entrance and the locker rooms ... Average relaxing atmosphere ... The bistro has changed. Disappointing. Water not hot enough. They removed the outdoor fireplace.

I loved the layout of this place. Many people ignoring the silence signs and talking away tho. Something missing from this place for me not sure what. I did really like the fact that they had a little area you could go in the river that was walled off. Nice feature. It's a very clean spa. Caring gestures missing.

Not a bad spa, but could have been better. In the resting area would be great if the bean bags came back, also the cantine food is a little too salty. Otherwise I would recommend

There are still closed facilities and ILS should improve access to the river. But it was good.

Too many people. It speaks loudly and very much. We were disappointed. Indeed, as others are mentioned, the towels are much too small.

9/03/13 - We were four friends and we were on our first visit. We had two 2 discount cards for one. A shuttle bus carried us from the parking to the entrance and back. We did not have to wait even though the spa was pretty busy. The welcome was warm. An employee gave us an overview of the station. Our cloakroom (there is more than one) was clean, 3 showers with soap and rinse cream for hair, 2 toilets, a dozen hair dryers. We enjoyed the variety of baths and the fact that two of them were cold but not as cold as the river. The place was very clean, the staff friendly and the atmosphere relaxed and relaxed for relaxation. The place is located not far from highway 15 but it's like being in the middle of nature because the cooing of the small river is in the background and accompanies us throughout our stay.

Overall decent spa. The horizontal layout on the river is scenic. The bistro has limited selection and no license. For the price there are better spas around.

Had my glasses stolen from the shelving just outside the sauna room. My friend had her boots stolen from the change room. Staff were disorriented, unhelpful, and almost rude in dealing with the issue.

If you go, lock everything up.

Its super relaxing but you always have to speak in a low voice

The polar bear is a nice big spa outside. In winter it is advisable to bring your own dressing gown or bathrobe and warm sandals. It's clean and the prices are very reasonable. The Massage Therapy service is very professional and they are really attentive to your needs, so much so that they even make you fill a sheet or you circle the parts of your body that you want to be massaged mainly. Even when there are many people, the space is big enough for everyone to scatter everywhere. When you relax in the baths there is a beautiful mountain scenery and ski resorts. Nature lovers are served. They also have very interesting promotions. Frankly the 5 stars are merited.

This has to be my favorite spa in all of Canada thus far! It was my second time visiting while in Montreal and I was very impressed with how the staff have maintained the place. I was also pleased to see the upgrades made to the men's change room compared to my last visit (e.g. more bathroom stalls and showers). Overall I was happy with everything and will definitely be back again whenever I'm in town :)

Brought my Girlfriend here for our Anniversary. the place was PACKED! it was Saturday but I think they shouldn't over book like that. I mean it wasn't very relaxing I felt more like I was at a public pool without kids.
Massage was great. somebody stole my Girlfriend and I's robes and towels so we had to use someone else's (gross) the security guard walking around isn't friendly he just grunts answers at you if you ask him a question. they don't add enough logs to the fires near the baths to be able to sit and enjoy yourself it was still way too cold. one bath wasn't even opened it was closed for maintenance so the other bath was so packed I was sitting on the stairs as you walk into it.
Blonde little girl at the reception refused to speak English to us. for my first spa experience I must say I was dissapointed the only reason you're keeping 2 stars is because of the massage. Oh and be ready to park far away cause their parking lot is a joke

Over a 100$ for a massage that was not worth it.
Receptionist was very rude.
And other spas have more options in the bath access than just saunas and pools.

I really enjoy my time at the Polar Bear's Club Spa! It's a really well kept location and I always come out of there relaxed and recharged. Hot Cold Therapy I find does wonders for the body and definitely helps heal and rejuvenate. The main reason I like this spa is that it is outside the city and the air just feels better on your lungs, there is true tranquility and mixing man made pools and a fresh water spring I find very relaxing. You even catch people sun tanning on the rocks in the creek. Not that expensive as far as spas go as well. Are there better, most probably but for what you're getting it works. As for food, eat before unless you feel like a spa trip is also a reason to eat very healthy as menu is limited. I go for relaxation though, not the food.

Warm welcome, but the baths are poorly maintained. The request to whisper is not respected and is not imposed by the personal on site. I will not go back.

Very disappointing for the price. The atmosphere is cold on arrival, the pools are far one from the other, we must do all the trips to bring towels to the reception ... So without coupon or free gift card, it does not worth it

Negative points: Lack of chairs and moreover it is due to be replaced because it curves in the center of the chair ... you feel the bars outch! Not very comfortable.
Points to improved: Enforcing silence! The staff is not very present on site (Sunday)
NO BOOKING OF LONG CHAIRS! Please already that there is not enough, I waited 1:30 that sir and Madame come back to their chairs so that there was only their towels on the chairs .... very frustrating pcq I could have in enjoy in their place!

In addition, you should also include in your rules that the "STRING" is DEFENDED in places ...... BORDEL what's that! I count 9! It's not appropriate as a place to show off the buttocks in public FRANCHEMENT! A little disappointed

I paid for a bath and message package and tried to call several times to make a reservation, no one ever answered. Very bad service. Their excuse is that they prioritize people on the spot? I paid my lump sum in advance, it makes no sense.

Many people this Saturday. cloakroom man not clean. No attendant to clean. Noisy. Much better the week.

Site is nice, but should have reserved a massage therapist as they had just one. Didn't find a bath that was above 98F. You need to provide your lock or rent one... the Highway nearby can be loud if trucks are passing by, though the sounds is hidden in some areas of the complex by the nearby rapids of the river.

Nice place and staff, wonderful view and comfort , got a deal on Tuango for 25$ , I recommand this place.

There was no hot water in the showers in the women locker rooms. I told the staff and they just said it happened yesterday as well but didn t offer anything. Just told me after I was about to leave that they were going to deal with it. Not great customer service. Great baths thought

Very nice place with a lot of different pools. The site is lovely, right next to a small river in which you can swim.

We stayed 1 night in a loft. The room was nice, king size bed, mini kitchenette.

Definitely coming back again.

Nice place, but cons I do not like the proximity of the highway and massage was rather blah .. also there are several hot baths but they are all at the same temperature of 98 which I think is not enough hot. They should vary the temperature in the different baths. The food at the bistro was REALLY HORRIBLE and tasteless .. moreover you can not even bring a lunch.

I might go back to the polar bears club but that's definitely not my first choice.

Enchanting site .. the river under the snow is beautiful ... BUT very big lack in services. Not enough heated rest rooms .. silence is respected NOWHERE !! No employees to try to maintain silence (no relaxation possible) the outdoor baths are all at the same temperature which is not hot enough for my taste: 37 degrees in winter .... no! In addition, the facilities are far from each other in summer, but at -20 in gougounes ... no! The smoking area is not heated. Presence of dangerous patches of ice at the entrance to certain baths .. a lady fell in front of me !! Anyway .. unfortunately not at all up to its reputation. Maybe in the days when it was the only place where this service was offered it was the best but modernization is essential: do your homework: go see the snow cabin, the heated hammocks and the sweater dryer at mathers. The reasonable distances, the many (different) saunas, the rest rooms, the multi-sensory room, the exfolliation and the heated Finnish smoking area (at mathers too, there is the Nordik floating bath and the many others which all have a small no longer there, the only positive point is the changing rooms and showers, lots of space and quite practical.

Heaven on earth. This spa resort is not too far from Montreal, but just far enough for you to get peace of mind. Everything is always nice and clean. And even when the weather conditions are extreme, you can still have an amazing time trying out various hot baths and saunas.

Really nice place with a good selection of hot tubs and saunas. Location is right beside a highway which is kinda meh but you don't really notice it when you are there.

Nice spa, make efforts to reduce the talk. By account there is a lack of showers and space in the cloakroom.

I love this spa, well place , clean . I enjoy the way the spa is made , gives you the feeling that you have a lot of space ! The view is really nice !

Not my favorite spa to relax in. Quiet zones are not respected and people walk around with their phones (prohibited and noisy).
The food is excellent and the massages very pleasant. The staff are courteous and the place is clean. Arrive early to gain access to the nearby parking lot.
Perfect place for a girls night out. Not so much if the goal is to be quiet.

Overcrowded and noisy. Seems like it was overbooked.

Our massages were great and the customer service on the massage side was very professional and kind. However, I agree with the fact that this spa does allow too many people in and yet do not have the facilities to accommodate...
-Two bathrooms for ladies and three showers, waiting in line for both.
-To return the towels and bathrobes you are carrying them all the way to the front desk (two buildings apart) instead of having a drop off place near the bathrooms.
-Towel system was confusing, the woman I spoke to at the front desk told us that we can exchange our towels during our stay if they get too wet. Then when we went to exchange them as she said (they are very small so get soaked quickly) we were served by a different employee who seemed very confused as to why we wanted to exchange for dry towels?
-Front desk staff was not welcoming or happy to help with general questions

Fabulous day spent at the Polar Bear Club for my party, it was relaxing and reviving. I loved my experience and it's certainly not the last time

Only the massages were open but excellent massage and attention from the staff.

A spa near Saint-Sauver, at around 60km from Montreal. The place is very beautiful and clean, 4 or 5 hot water outside, and 2 cold water(which I tried for 5seconds and was cool) and there is also a vapor sauna with lemon(?) aroma, and a dry sauna. There are plenty of wooden chairs to sit in the sun or around the outdoor fire place , and relax. There are also some benches in the inside. There is a cycle of suggested times for hot water, cold water, and resting time, 10-15min(hot water), 5-10 seconds(cold water), and 20min resting.
You can rent a towel and a bottle water, and a lock all for like 12$. The only thing: you should be silent, people are trying to relax. So go there , It s really worth it.

Very disappointing experience, their reputation is far too great. First there was renovation that day and I saw that they had started since September 11th. So construction noises all day long. There is a beautiful little river yes with a nice view on the highway, the facilities are far from each other .. The rest areas are distressing .. The bistro is small and there is almost no choice and it is expensive .. .

Great spa! Love the openness close to the river, makes for a calming atmosphere. Pools, sauna and lounge areas are clean. Locker rooms are tight but clean. The only thing is they have 1 small bistro, with a limited meal menu. Kind of an inconvenience when you re spending the day there and hungry.

Good spa but not safety place. Somebody stole my shoes. Be careful there.

The people at the front desk were particularly rude and preferred to talk to each other than to greet guests. In addition, after having forgotten my wallet after my bathing session, I called the reception and the person who answered me told me that there was still cash ... When I got it back, he No more ... The staff members had happily served. When I asked to have a follow up on the situation I was sent to walk ... SPA TO AVOID !! (In addition it is located between 2 highways ... we hear the cars pass all the time ... Really unpleasant!)

Always so relaxing. Although the location is near the 117 and the 15, this will not break your moment of relaxation.

It's not so clean as in the photos that show. However the customer service is good.

Worst place ever, we called before coming. We were told no need for reservation. When we got there , there is waiting list, we cant go in and we were told to wait outside in my car and there is no waiting spot inside. They wont tell us how long the wait would be. It is not nice place inside and outside. Dont go there!

Service is horrible.

A wonder since the last renovations. We will be back very soon for sure :)
