Large zoo with lots of animals. They all look healthy. Info about each species are at each enclosure. The deer enclosure is a great place to spend a bunch of time. Very cool to be with them.

Took my 6 yr old niece. She loved it and was tired by the end. There's lots of walking so wear comfy supportive shoes. Tons of monkeys to see, lions, Tigers, Leopard, giraffes, zebras, etc. Interactive exhibits with deer and birds. There are small, but fun amusement rides for the kids also. Would definitely go again.

Large, well-shaded zoo with a variety of educational attractions located right here in Central Massachusetts. Limited carnival-style children's rides and playground as well. Certain activities (20 minute train ride, panning for gold, kids rides) cost extra, beyond general admission, although there's plenty to see and do without buying extras. Unlimited passes through their charity partner, Earth Inc, are well worth the cost if you have children and live nearby. The recent addition of a full service restaurant on-site (Gallifords) really elevated the experience and makes it easy to spend an entire day.

My little boy loves Southwick. We had a great time that he's still talking about days later. The park has a good vibe, the staff is friendly, the animals seem happy and are obviously well cared for. We'll absolutely be back.

Not a good experience. Big animals in small cages . they let the goats run around in a bigger enclosure than the cheetah.

I was there 2 months ago . the enclosures there are pathetic, look at them try to lie about it . the cheetah lived in a 15 by 10 bubble

Really big park with many attractions. I didn't get to go on the camel ride, but I got on the train ride that went along the park, and I was able to snap pics of the birds in the pond. Some of the animals get real close to the train. I enjoyed the bird show.

One of the best Zoo's in New England! Plan on a full day because there's lots to see and do. Make sure you have comfortable shoes because there's a lot of walking and it's all hills. The addition of Galiford's Restaurant was great. You can get a real meal and an adult beverage if you want more of a selection than the Snack Shacks offer. Make sure you get a combo ticket if you plan on using the Skyfari or Woodland Express Train, which I definitely recommend doing!

Tons of animals and it's always clean and maintained! We've brought our son twice already this summer and can't wait to go again. The new restaurant is also great - lots of good food to choose from and fun drinks.

Wonderful place to bring the family we hickey recommend this zoo to anyone on the area. They have a great new restaurant that the food is amazing but our waitress Chrissy was the best waitress we have ever had in our lives. She couldn't have been kinder she was filled with happiness, energy and great recommendations on the food and exhibits to visit after we ate

What a lovely zoo! There were lots of the exotic animals you hope to see, sloths, panthers, giraffes <3, zebras, lions, tigers (no bears :) and more! But I was surprised by how excited I was to see a pen of about 25 guinea pigs! They have a petting area, and even better is the chair lift so you can see the whole zoo. I especially loved the deer area, they will come right up to you! (and follow you around if you have food) Great place to bring kids, but honestly my boyfriend and I alone had a blast!

a wonderful, family run zoo. many animals, a walking path that is mostly in the shade. discount tickets can be purchased ahead of time, parking is free and there are lots of "additional-fee" items; rides, maze, train ride and animal feed.

This zoo is very nice. It has an area where you can feed deer and birds. I am surprised how many different kinds of animal it has and all the signs are very informative. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.

Amazing Zoo!!! It doesn't look very big and we thought we were lost on the way there, then it just pops right up. There are many times you can go in and interact with the animals and feed them. If you take your time you can spend a day there.

This zoo is a fun spot to bring the kids for a day. Lots of things for them to do and a good range of animals. There are a lot of rules for the small kids as well as a few for the older ones. The sky ride is a neat perspective on seeing the animals. The Deer Forest is really neat and it's fun to be that close to the deer. The petting zoo with all the goats is my kids favorite. I do wish some of the animals had a little more space as some of the enclosures are a bit small. The food options in the park aren't the best unless you are willing to go to the restaurant attached to the park. The winter wonderland they do in the winter is a so-so experience. The train let's you see the animals that can be out in the winter but very breifly and you cant go see them on foot. Overall I would recommend this zoo for a fun family outing.

Southwick, in my humble opinion, has become some what rundown looking, not very many animals, comparatively and a little pricey for what you get.
Their handicap services are also expensive. To rent a scooter is $35, coupled with admission it becomes unaffordable for some. In my opinion Roger Williams has far better prices and a better by far Zoo. Sorry Southwicks.

My family absolutely loves going to Soutbwick's Zoo. If you plan on going multiple times during the season, I would highly suggest looking into an Earth membership, great benefits. (unlimited visits, member only nights). Great staff, very clean grounds.

Best zoo in New England in my opinion. High number of exhibits to see. Also a deer sanctuary and petting zoo where the deer, pigs, goats can eat right from your hands. Also enjoy the peacock that roams free. The only negative is the restaurant on the property. Multiple times I have tried to eat there and there is a wait even though half the tables are empty. While I understand staffing issues it's not worth everyone standing in the waiting area for 30 minutes while we could be sitting at a table at least.

Big fan of this big Zoo. They have animals that are not seen in surrounding zoos and, to my knowledge, are only missing elephants and foxes. My only complaint is that they have really diminished the amount of freedom that you have in the Deer Forest in recent years; something I do not blame them for, but rather the people who visit.

Amazing experience! First time going and just so much to see! It was really clean and staff was really nice. The chair lift was amazing, you got to go through the whole park and really take it all in! Will definitely be going back

We had a great day at Southwick's Zoo! The weather was perfect for the zoo. They were well set up for social distancing and had arrows to direct people. They have a great variety of animals from all over the world. A lot of the animal habitats have multiple viewing spots which helps people spread out.

Fantastic zoo. Took my niece here for her first birthday and it was a blast for the whole family. You can walk around a forest with free roaming deer and have fun with goats. You can also gave interactions with giraffes, sloths, and rhinos and go on a zipline over the whole park for an extra fee. Apparently the sloths are very popular because they are already sold out for the season! They have a nice restaurant in the zoo and plenty of snack shacks, plus rides for the little ones! Definitely cant wait to go back

Had an awesome experience at southwick's zoo. Lots of animals and birds and their species to experience. Reptiles, birds, wild animals, fun zone for kids, food zones, ice cream zone, toy train, skyfari, zip lines and mazes. Spent almost 3 hours and enjoyed every minute of it. You can even spend 5-6 hours here with family and friends.
Staff was very nice and friendly.
Parking was free and ample. However, they say "Park at your own risk".

It is our favorite zoo to visit, privately owned and always getting better with so much to see and do with a dining selection from hot dogs to sit-down meals. We hope someday they will offer a paid behind the scenes tour of the zoo for us zoo geeks.

It's a bit hilly if you struggle with walking, but they have a good assortment of animals and exhibits. All of my grandchildren really enjoy coming here.
ADDITION
Just did the drive through here and it was outstanding. It was really well done and my granddaughters were so excited.

We're had a wonderful experience. The zoo was kept very tidy. It was extremely hot so a lot of the animals were not active. We're going back next week. All in all it was a very enjoyable experience!

The deer park, to the tigers, the chimps and so much more! There is really something for everyone here at Southwick's. One of my favorite activities here was the skyfari, an amazing way to see the size of the whole zoo, while getting a unique view of the animals. I was impressed by the diverse animals we saw, which are not available at Roger Williams or Franklin zoo.

The new restaurant on site, Galliford s is very modern yet had the rustic New England vibe. We had lunch on the porch area over seeing the zoo. The food and service was perfect. Looking forward to coming back!
