Great zoo. My 2.5 year old had a great time! I also enjoyed how the paths are shaded, we went on a fairly hot day but it didn't feel horrible because of the shade!

For the most part the animals seem cared for. There s lots of shade which is nice when it s warm. However the admission price is high. 28 for adults and only slightly less for children. Then EVERYTHING inside costs money. You can t turn a corner without bumping into an attraction that s an additional fee. The amount of money we spent was ridiculous for a few hours at the zoo.
But my biggest issue is the place was SWARMING with yellow jackets. My daughter was stung and I spent the majority of the day shooing them off my kids to try to protect them. They were absolutely everywhere. Very stressful.
The zoo was a lot of fun and had plenty of areas to grab hand sanitizer. A+
Great zoo.. very clean!!
Plenty of animals and rides for the kiddies..
Great place to spend a day with the family. Personnel is all around very friendly. Animals look well attended and the zoo is very clean and organized.
Large open zoo located in a forested hilly location. Wide variety of animals. There is a chair lift ride that travels over many of the animal habitats.
Fun place to bring kids, plenty of shade and entertainment for everyone.
Well cared for zoo. Sadly, we got to hear a keeper who had a facial piercing curse at the Wolfs Guenon. We get you hate your job and dont want to cleanup after / feed them but please dont take it out on them.
Went Durning the week to avoid crowds. It was clean. The staff was friendly. I like the changes they made to some of the exhibits. The Bharzza monkeys are my favorite.
It's a clean and fantastic zoo. Plus in the hot summers there is a canopy of trees to keep you cool.
Love going here, lots of animals and very friendly staff.
Been here so many times and it s always a fun experience. Very clean, friendly staff and plenty to do.
Absolutely loved this zoo, was my first time in this area. Beautiful part of the state, tons of beautiful animals and they crowd control right now so really not any worries on the social distancing. Masks are required over age 2 I believe. The deer encloser is really neat, be sure to watch your children at all times in there tho.
This zoo its great to spend some quality time with your family. They have more exhibit of animals
Nice small zoo for the kids, there is a bit of uphill walking through the zoo so plan your route to see the animals accordingly
Great family experience. Fun for all ages. Loved the deer enclosure. My daughter was able to get up close and personal with the animals.
Great place. Super friendly staff. Plan ahead. It can easily take three hours.
This is the best Zoo in Massachusetts. Great time had by all. Not a 5 star due to, I am not a fan of caged/captive animals.
Must go zoo. Seemed little pricey overall. But worth every penny. Zip line and skyline rides were the best.
Love this zoo. Lots of different animals big and small to see. Feeding the dear is very cool.
This place has all the animals you'd need to see...probably could spend 2 days here!!!
Its been yrs since I went to this zoo. Many updates have been made to this zoo making it more fun for all.
Great Zoo. Well shaded so even comfortable with a mask on hot days
Amazing zoo! Took just over 3 hours to see the whole zoo. All of the exhibits are super close to the point you can basically reach out and touch the animals! Great variety to see! The deer forest was really cool and interesting. You can go right up and feed the deer! Overall the best zoo around! Highly recommend!
The rainforest maze was fun. Good selection of animals. Skyfari and train ride are extra add ons that are relaxing. Great for kids.
Fun for the whole family. Can walk with the deer's & feed them. Great petting area too!
Definitely spent a great day there great for kids but it's great for First Dates
Been to a lot of zoos and this one is a great Far and Away my favorite
Well worth the money, they have a wide variety of exhibits. They even have interactive exhibits like the Deer Forest!
Great family place awesome animals, they even have a ski lift thing that goes over the Zoo and you can see the animals that way. Plus they just added this new amazing restaurant there!
Even though there was no elephants, but the did have a huge amount of animals. Definitely a place for the family
I loved it! The animals look healthy and well taken care of. I definitely recommend.
Many animals and birbs. Even the monkeys make birb noises. Saw a sloth move its arm 3 inches to the right. Did not get eaten by tigers. 10/10 would zoo again.
My Family and I love going to Southwick Zoo. The animal displays are great. The kids rides are alot of fun my kids have a blast. Love the option of the combo tickets which include unlimited rides on all mechanical ride. Such as the skyfari is lots of fun you get great views of the park. They now included a jungle maze it was awesome, bigger and harder to complete then what it looks like. With all things to do in the zoo my family was there for 4hrs. And we still didnt get to experiance everything.
Very wide open easy to navigate good assortment of animals
Not cheap but provides for a wonderful, interesting and delightful day. I will definitely be back here!
Completely outdid any expectation I had of it. The exhibits are extremely close to the walkways so you can get an excellent view of all the animals, the animals were generally very active, and the staff was extremely friendly.
I am sorry to read that this zoo is still keeping some of it's animal's in poor living conditions for the species. Years ago - 2000 or a bit earlier, I visited this zoo as a volunteer for the Great Ape Project. I was dismayed to see two chimpanzees being housed in a concrete "jail" with no grass, no room to run and play....just horrible conditions. I was told that the male had been kept like this for over 20 years and "that he didn't know any better, so it doesn't bother him." I was also told that the zoo was building a new home for the chimps and soon Jingles and Bongo would be moved there. I visited the next year and saw the new chimp habitat which was a great improvement. However, only Jingles was there with another new chimp; no sign of Bongo. When I inquired about where he was I was told that he "couldn't handle" the move (he went insane) and they had to move him elsewhere. Nobody would tell me what happened to him. R.I.P, Bongo, as it is likely you were euthanized. Shame on this zoo for treating it's animals so poorly just to make a profit. :(
Well cared for Zoo. The animals seem healthy and happy. Also the Deer farm was great for my sons and a good learning experience. I definitely would recommend all to go.
This zoo is awesome. The deer park is beautiful. The animals are very well taken care of. There is so much to see. Its definitely worth the money and your time.
Staff are very helpful and friendly. The sky lift was our favorite thing of all.
Great place for kids and families to enjoy a summer day. They have a Zoo Babies day in July where all the baby animals are now able to be seen by the tourists!
Awesome place. Everyone was wearing masks . Followed all covid rules. Kids had a wonderful time. We felt very safe there. ! Will go back again. Had Dinner in the restaurant food was delicious.
My son visited the zoo on a day trip. He had a lot of fun with his school friends. There are many animals. They could also pet goats, birds and deer. After returning back, he kept talking about all the fun things he had.
Got me there safe and sound today. A fun Gather's Day!
Awesome family vacation...the deer enclosure was amazing..
This place is great. Its huge and fun. Went for my son's second birthday and we had a blast. Recommended it to everybody. 5 stars
Winter wonderland is great! Even in the cold and rain, glad we went. Train ride through the deer area, meeting Anna and Elsa, photos with Santa, maze etc - my toddler loved it.
Great small zoo. Great selection of animals. I like that it is in the woods with varied terrain and lots of shade during the hot summer. A bit expensive, but it must cost a lot to maintain and keep clean. Worth it!
Had a great time. The zoo has a variety of animals a d a deer forest where you feed the deer. Rides for the little ones and a few for older kids and adults. Well worth the time.
Love this zoo. Been here from New Hampshire at least once a year. My kids love it.
Had a fun day here - things were spaced out enough to get away from the crowd of people we walked in with, and by mid afternoon it seemed to thin out. The kiddie rides weren't anything fantastic but my kids enjoyed them! Their favorite was the Skyfari ride
Great zoo with lots of exhibits. The sky safari ride is fun.
I love this zoo. The atmosphere, tranquility. Friendly staff. Leisurely paced never over crowded.
Absolutely stunning what they have achieved. Constant improvement in experiences for humans and quality of life for animals. Sadly expensive but they are a private zoo and need the money. Check your local library for free passes.
Drove 2.5 hours just to visit this zoo. So happy with our choice. The zoo is well worth the admission fee, clean, knowledgeable staff, and soooo many animals. The Skyfari ride was also amazing. Definitely recommend!
This is a nice place to visit the prices are a little high but remember this zoo is family owned and they need the funds to care for the animals.
Lots of animal exhibits. Great place to take the family for educational fun.
This zoo was absolutely amazing. Definitely going back. I brought my almost 10 month old and she loved all the animal interactions they have- goats and deer to feed and pet. Monkeys and giraffes to watch. Some stuff was closed off due to covid so I can imagine it will be even more fun once they are reopened.
Some of the better animals like the tiger and lions were a scam like there were nothing inside the pens
Great little zoo. If you take your time to appreciate each habitat, then it's a full day to see the whole thing. There's plenty of shade throughout the park and a great walk with the deer exhibit. All in all, very impressive considering its relatively small size and countryside location.
We love going there with our family. Great for young kids. Can't believe it's in our own backyard.
I enjoyed coming here, and seeing all the different types of animals they have here. And they take really good care of the animals as well.
Nice but as it is the start of the season a lot was closed. The good news is only 15 instead of 28 since not fully open.
Great place a lot of Hornets this visit but not their fault
Phenomenal zoo! I still can't believe how big it is and how many animals are there.
Terrific place to spend the day with family walking and viewing the animals throughout the Zoo.
Great zoo. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. The deer Park is super unique. The petting zoo is always a crowd pleaser.
We had an awesome time, I haven't been there in years since my children were young. Went with the grandchildren and was so pleased at the improvements made on the animal enclosures. The experience was wonderful and the restaurant on site was great too!!
Horrible! I drove 1hour and :05 minutes me my husband and my daughters 2 and 4 years old. And my puppy Max, when I got there they didn t let me go in because I had a dog with me. And I searched through the site about bringing pets and I didn t find nothing. So when we got there they didn t let us in we had to drive back home. And they told me I couldn t leave the dog inside the car if I did they were going to call the police. So I went to canobie lake park. Southwicks Zoo was horrible for me. Hate it.
Tons of animals and it's always clean and maintained! We've brought our son twice already this summer and can't wait to go again. The new restaurant is also great - lots of good food to choose from and fun drinks.
We have been going here the past 3 years. It is a great place to go with my grand son
Such a great place for kids of all ages. It is a real hidden gem.
Personally it's not worth a trip. Came all the way from cape cod and I was pretty disappointed. I've seen many commercials and thinking it would be exciting but I wouldn't go there again. Didn't see half the animals they claim to have way too many monkeys. It was almost like a monkey sanctuary. My mother in law and my son had the wrist bands and that doesn't cover hardly anything. I don't think my family and I will be going there again in the future.
Shady walk around zoo. Good variety of animals. Nice playground. 3 yr old loved it! Will be going again this year.
Wicked fun. I liked it better than Stone Zoo and Franklin Park Zoo.
Nice zoo with alot of great animals only issue is dont pay the extra price for the rides not worth it. The rides should be part of reg price
Such a great day... This place was amazingly clean. Beautifully landscaped. you can tell all the animals were well fed and taken care of.
You need a fun day with your kid this is a place that will cheer the family up. Really nice staff here who are always happy help and answer any question. Fun activities, fun rides awaits you here. The feeding fun for goats, deer and the parakeets are the activities we look forward to everytime we visit this zoo. Lot of fun animals for us to spend a good full day of fun. The food here is just amazing...from fried dough to the mini doughnuts to the hot dogs...they just ooze in taste and we love it. A perfect place for spending a lovely summer day.
One of the best zoos I have been to. Definitely worth the trip. I've tried to see sloths at 4 different zoos now and was finally able to view one! Their habitats are impressive, the food is reasonably priced and they have a variety of things to do in addition to the zoo itself.
