Haven't been there in a couple years. Have never been a big fan of seeing animals confined. That being said, they really do it right. The living areas are large and clean. The new giraffe area is really nice. My family really enjoyed the day. They hand fed a couple deer, goats, and birds. The price is very reasonable for all the animals they have. If you are going for rides, this is not the place. If you want to see many beautiful animals, this is the place.

Great place to spend the day lots of animals. They seen to be happy not little cages but large living spaces and the people care about the animals. If you are looking to spend the day outside this is a great place to visit. Prices are not to bad. Very large zoo.

Had a good time with my wife and 2 grandchildren. Only complaint was the rides in the park were a bit pricey????? The camel ride was $6.00 per child for 1 loop around for a distance I would estimate to be about 150 ft. Couldn't believe it!!! The maze cost was a bit excessive. Don't remember exactly how much but I thought it was a bit high considering what we got.(A chance to stumble around looking for 4 animals to get an electronic card stamped and then after that receive a sticker as a prize). Lest I sound grumpy, the only reason I as an adult felt compelled to do this was to be with my 6 year old grandson. The sky ride was the only thing I felt was worth the money.

One of the best ZOOs i have ever visited. The open enclosures are awesome. Animals looked well feed.
The skylift is a great feature (i wish i had a chance to ride it before it started raining).
The goat and deer petting zoo were very clean. Thank you for the first deer I ever petted.
The staff are very friendly and informative.

Food and drinks are a bit pricey.
Free parking (during my visit)
The restaurant that is at the main entrance is pricey but the food was amazing.

This is definitely a place I would come back too.

Convenient way to see quite a variety of animals, my son loved it and in going on a weekday there were no crowds in may. Rhino's were a bit depressing as the pen was solid dirt with a sign explaining how their typical day consist of grazing on grass for half the day, along with the general sizes of all the pens, but that is the price for the convience to see them. Still very sad though.

Love this zoo. Would have given it 5 stars but the whole wrist band ticket pricing is kinda confusing. If you think you might do just one or two rides its worth it to get the wrist band. The layout of the zoo is a little difficult o see everything without a lot of back tracking.

COVID Phase 1 opening day. Great setup and effort by the staff for social distancing throughout the visit. Everyone (guests included) was masked. Timed tickets worked well. They sanitize your hands on the way in. Sanitization products readily available throughout. The animals seemed happy to see some visitors!

Our family is so happy to have Southwick's back open! Please keep up the great work.

I personally think this is better than Disney's safari in FL. They have a deer forest that you can walk through and the deers are so used to people they walk right up to you. Food is a flop so pack a grinder and a beer.

Best zoo in Massachusetts hands down. Makes Buttonwood Park Zoo and Roger Williams Park Zoo look like they have no clue gow to run a zoo and the amount of animals on display is incredible

I've been going to the Bronx zoo since I was a kid and this is no Bronx zoo. But it was big and clean and more interactive. A great place for a day with the family. And there's a really nice bar and restaurant on the premises. Great place!

This is my favorite local zoo. It s large, with lots of animals and two areas to get up close to the goats and deer. Plenty of parking and clean bathrooms help make it a comfortable visit. They have a new cafe too, so you can grab a snack that s on the healthier side. Don t forget to check out the lions and tigers!

A bit expensive when bringing a large group but a very good time nonetheless!! Lots of monkeys, if that's your animal of choice. Beautiful big cats! And a very fun sky ride for a decent price! Definitely worth a visit!

They have animals that are not normally seen at zoos in NE. And they all look happy and healthy. There is also a huge walk through area with young deer that you can feed for .50 a handful if grain and. from gumball machines that are as scattered throughout the area. And most will walk right up to you so you can pet them . There are amusement rides too but we spent every second checking out the animals. Lastly, the gift shop is huge and the prices are very reasonable. In fact, less expensive than others I've been to. Keep in mind, this is a huge zoo and covers a lot of acreage and there are stroller rentals available if you forget to bring one.
I know we'll be back again and again.

This is by far one of the best zoos in the New England area. Lots to see. Has animals that some of the other zoos around don't. Nice shady areas if it's summer. Very nice gift shop also! Great zoo for all ages!! Every summer it's one of our favorite places to go!!

The zoo is beautiful and so many animals to see. I would recommend bringing your own lunch though, the shacks are expensive and taste like cheap freezer burnt food. We haven't tried the actual restaurant on the premises so I can't speak for that.

5 hours was not enough time to see everything! Buy your tickets online at least 45 minutes prior to get entry quicker. The combo tickets were a good choice for us, the skyline ride was very nice as was the train ride. Lots of animals, many more than I took pictures of. Food was reasonably priced.

Such a fun place ! For anyone! Any age! The zoo keepers (employees) really love the animals there and it shows !!!! We talked to one gentleman who worked their. He was telling us about the 2 monkeys he raised as he was cleaning their cage . One of them he raised since a baby, and its 27 years old! Now as he was saying this, the monkey jumped on his back and was excited to see him!

I took my almost 10 year old daughter 2 weeks ago to the Southwick zoo and had a great time. This was our second time there (1st time was about 8 years ago). The zoo is clean and well run. Plenty to see and do. Animals seemed well taken care of and and plenty of space to run around. Their habitats were clean which made us both happy. Also, their little gift shops were so cute and their petting zoo amazing too. We were very impressed and can t wait to go again!!!

I went for the lights show. For $50, I really expected more. I've been to other shows in Attleboro and Agawam, and they were worth the experience. After driving for over 45 mins, we were quite disappointed.

They over charge here. We paid over 100.00
To enter and had to pay for our 2 boys to do everything. The boys weren't to excited about the park at all. The animals looked very miserable. Sad! We left in about an hour and a half. Waste of time and money.

The good: a lot of animals to see that look well fed and taken care of. The bad over priced to not include anything but walking around everything else is extra cost. For us it was very hot day and a lot of walking and snack stands closing at 3 when place is open till 5 and every vending machine out of order. Disappointed in how the website represented the place. Also certain exhibits are weekend only but cost is still the same, shame people do plan vacations during weekdays.

First time out since pandemic. Great way to get outside and get fresh air and exercise. No crowds. Super clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Love the large animal habitats and all animals looked well cared for and actually happy to see people.

Wonderful day at the zoo! It wasn't crowded since you needed to order tickets online and choose a time. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Cages and animal areas are clean. The petting zoo was open and staff was keeping area clean. Will be back soon!

We spent about 2 hours here walking and saw most everything (got tired out!) Highly recommend coming on an off day to get the whole experience without the crowds, I appreciated that on our visit. There are so many kinds of animals and they were all pretty active. We visited the deer forest and fed them, next time I would bring a cup to hold the corn (there are machines inside too by the other entrance, if you don't want to wait). I hadn't been to the zoo in forever, so I neglected this and will advise others who haven't thought about it either: wear some bug spray!

Fun for the kids, small zipline ride for 12 bucks, small maze for 5, buy both for fifteen. Can feed goats and deer with food purchased from a dispenser for 50 cents. Currently you need reservations, was more or less and easy going experience. Would recommend as a day trip with your children.

Best privately owned business. A days worth of things to do and see, shops and very family oriented. Well cared for, knowledgeable staff attending customers and performing animal shows. Staff genuinely cares for the animals. Restrooms are maintained very well, facilities support nursing moms by providing Private rooms with rocking chairs for comfort! Price seems steep but well worth it considering all the expenses to provide such a great place for family fun! Great Job Southwick Zoo!

So much fun! Extraordinary variety of animals, lots of fun activities to do (although some are closed down due to the pandemic, but that's certainly not their fault) and a good restaurant literally so close that you can watch the goats while you eat. One of the best trips I've ever had to the zoo.

Fun day trip with the kids. Decent zoo, good selection of animals. Clean, fun, we enjoyed it. Stay is friendly and informative. There's an albino Peacock that roads freely, he seemed cool. Deer Park was an amazing experience, especially for my young daughter.

Haven't been back here in a while and was surprised to see how many improvements they've made to the zoo. So many different animals to see here and the habitats look great. Even with all of the attractions that needed to be closed due to Covid-19, the trip was still worthwhile. It was very easy to social distance here. 3 hours was just enough time to get around to pretty much all of the habitats. We arrived at 10:00 a.m. when the park opened on a Monday so that may have helped with lower numbers of people.

The staff was very obviously focused on the welfare of the animals and education of the guests. There are also wonderful opportunities to touch and feed animals. This is a great place for children and adults.

Beautiful zoo, beautiful landscape! Loved the way it just fit in with the surroundings. The lift was cool, traveling over the zoo, and the train was thrilling, going right through the Elk woods

Not busy during the week and signs are everywhere to keep a 6 ft. Distance. Also masks are required. Rides were not open when we went except for the skyride. Food is limited to the restaurant.

This seems to be the best zoo in Massachusetts. Lots of great animals spread out in Woody setting. Went mid-week in early October and admission was discounted. Also got to ride the sky ride free. Lots of trees so would be lots of shade in Summer.

The interactive activities like the parakeet landing, and deer forest were a family favorite! We didn't get to try the skyfari or zipline, but we will def be back! Lots of kiddie rides n a park to keep little ones entertained, plenty of wildlife for the older kids to enjoy! Def "off the beaten path", though!
