Southwest Auto Sales Review

We have purchased 2 cars and use them for all our oil changes and some repairs. Much appreciated their extra help recently with going over and above to help me in a situation where we thought was an oversight on their part but ended up being something different and completely unconnected. They came to my rescue and even delivered my car to me WITH a kind approach and helpful attitude. These guys are just around the corner from my house, it s nice to have them in the neighborhood.

My husband and I bought a 2013 Ford pick you a couple weeks ago. It needed brakes bad.. they replaced them as promised. But they also promised to rotate and balance tires because it had a vibration. Well... We never got a call back for them to do the work. Also turn signal needs replaced... But once papers were signed, they forgot all about us. This was the 2nd car we bought there in 2 years. 1st time was great. 2nd time will most likely be the last if they can't keep their promise.

I feel like there was something shady going on here. We tried to test drive a car and it was low on gas & instead of just telling us they could fill it up so we could drive they said we could only drive it around the block bc the gas was low!?!?! And this is the odd part.......
Southwest quoted us at 9% rate for a $16k car & payments were about $450 a month for 72 months with $2k down. We thought this was odd bc just the day before we were at an actual Chevy dealership & they tried to sale us a nicer version of this same car for $22k with the same interest rate 9% & with $2k down but the payments were only $380 for 72 months.

So my point is how is southwest payments that much more for a cheaper car with the same loan length, interest rate & down payment as the other place???

This on top of the odd "test drive" was just the recipe to walk away!!! Not saying you will have the same thing just be careful.

Great Service and great sales people all around! Any time we ve needed service or had questions, they have gone above and beyond to accommodate at a fair price or answer as soon and efficiently as possible.

Its fine. I just wish they knew how to take NO for an answer!!!.and not keep saying " oh , you are making a big mistake!!" . like no im really not lol

Drove two hours to check out a few trucks. Didnt come down even 1$ on price. Or offer any incentive, wont go back. Took my business elsewhere.

Had a great experience dealing with the service team at Southwest Auto Sales. The price of repair was much less than anticipated- what a surprise! They did their best to do what we needed efficiently and at a great price. Bought the car from them and they now have a loyal customer.

Pat fixed a broken brake line, installed a new headlamp and did some troubleshooting to find the reason for no power to my drivers side window, and fixed. I believe Pat to be efficient and trustworthy, and I will go back to Southwest for the maintenance needs of my vehicle.

Bought a 2013 Nissan Sentra from this Dealer in the middle of this year and within a month I had to spend thousand dollars fixing the issues. And again, this month, I have a battery and a brake sign on the Dashboard which will cost me somewhere around $2000 to repair it. When I bought the car, they mentioned that, they did the full vehicle inspection and there was no issue and now within 6 month its costing me around 3k on fixing. I would not recommend this place to anyone as the car you buy from them are not reliable at all.

Very personalized service and accommodating staff. My wife visited the dealership first and was treated with the highest respect. Upon her recommendation, I visited and was nothing short of impressed. They brought the vehicles to the door for us to drive, offered us as much time as needed, and had enough inventory to meet our needs. No complaints.

Had an absolutely terrible experience with southside auto in Roanoke. I responded to a promotion I got in the mail that indicated I had won a flat screen TV. When I showed up at the dealership they took personal information claiming that I needed to provide that in order to claim my prize. Instead they ran for credit checks on me and applied for an auto loan. Even after I told them I was only here for the promotion and was not looking for a new car. Stay away from them when I called to complain to the manager he said he did not know who that person was and that he had independent consultants working for him. They are unethical and will use your personal information stay away from them.

Wonderful staff, Great sales team, and an awesome service center. From the sales all the way to the service center it was a pleasant experience with NO PRESSURE :)

Not surprising, but they were quite deceptive in their advertising. If you're responding to an ad for a promotion, don't expect to get what the promo says. Their inventory looked fine, staff seemed fine, prices seemed high but all around a forgettable place with some regrettable advertising practices.

*update* the promo item they gave out didn't even work. Cheap, noname smart watch that won't power on.

Overall pretty good car-buying experience. Had a bad experience with the detialing/maintenance/mechanic side of the business. We had some issues with parts being fixed and we were told we'd be compensated for the problems and our troubles, but it was never documented. So, when we came to collect, of course that manager was no longer there and the new manager had no idea what we were talking about. VERY unhappy with that situation because of how things were handled and how we were kind of ripped off in a bad situation. Left a bad taste in our mouths for SouthWest for future business.

My family friends and I have bought several cars here . Good cars and hood people.

Jason was very freindly, answered questions and found us cars to test drive. They have quite a lot to chose from.

My husband and I purchased a 2011 Nissan Quest from Southwest Auto Sales and the process could not have been any easier. We had done a lot of online research prior to visiting the dealership and it was exactly how it was described online. The Salesman was very knowledgeable of all the options and went over them with us before we left the dealership. I would recommend Southwest Auto Sales to anyone in the market for a vehicle.

I had the worst experience buying a car. The car they sold me was cute looking but was a real lemon. I fought with them when the transmission blew out after only having the car for 28 days. I had repair after repair in the 9 months I had the car.

I was treated rudely and will never deal with these people again. Don't go there unless you want to be sold a lemon. Yes, they can get you financed but you will get a high interest rate. When I signed the papers agreeing to one payment, I was told when I came in that the payments were doubled. No one called me to alert me to this, I felt trapped.

Don't ever buy from these people. Go to Best Deal! Auto Sales instead!

Shopping for a car is my least favorite thing to do along side going to the dentist. But it's one of those things you just have to do from time to time. My wife and I just bought a Ford Fusion from SWAS and it was hands down the best experience car shopping that we've ever had. We looked up reviews on car lots and on individual sales people at specific lots. Out of all of the FW area used auto sales lots, we found Southwest to be the most up front about their inventory. We found positive review after positive review about a guy named PK at SWAS. When we showed up to look at cars, we asked for PK. From the first hand shake meeting him to the last hand shake closing the deal, I couldn't have asked for a better sales rep. PK never pushed us. He gave us excellent advice on car vs. SUV for our growing family. When it came to negotiating a deal, PK was real, but he was always friendly. Our experience at SWAS was top notch. Everyone was professional. Everyone was pleasant. They earned our business. I've never had great experience buying a car, until now. BIG thanks to PK!

The sales team was great! I brought my vehicle in for service and had a repair as well. The warranty covered it and their service team was outstanding. I plan to use them for my future vehicle purchases.

We found a vehicle we wanted to purchase, made application, ran credit and were waiting to hear back about the financing. When we didn't hear anything, we called the sales guy ("hot-Rod") who told us the car had been sold to another person who came in AFTER our application was submitted! Why was someone else even allowed to test drive the vehicle when we were simply waiting for the loan to be finalized? We were told it was "first come first serve" and the fact that we had an application in process didn't matter. The next day we found out that our loan had been approved, but the car was gone. I've never had an experience like this or dealt with such dishonest, under-handed people.

Took my car in with several problems. Had to have two of those issues addressed that day, but willing to schedule another day to get it all taken care of. When I arrived to pick up my car, I learned that all issues were worked on and fixed. Wonderful service and friendly staff. Highly recommend!!

Wish I never bought a car from Southwest Auto. I would not recommend this place to anyone! Within a month of driving many issues arose and I feel like they knew this car has issues and had been an previous accident. Also the car I saw online that I came to see was NOT the car they showed me!

I seriously couldn t be happier. The shudder from our brakes is all gone and we saved so much money going here. Big thank you!

I did not end up buying the Journey, but was treated very well.

The experience was good. While test driving the vehicle before purchase the airbag light came on and the dealer was supposed to call about getting it fixed but no one ever called me. I had the impression they were going to fix it at no charge but I ll probably have to file a claim with the warranty company to get it fixed.

Sold me a vehicle knowing it had issues. Wasn't willing to do anything to make it right.

Driving from a long distance to look at a truck you don't want to waste your time , I was sent videos of all areas of the truck and a test drive as well , many questions were answered with patience , Phill was great to deal with and I got a good deal on a nice truck. I will definitely check your inventory the next time I'm in the market, thanks.

Great experience. The sales staff was very helpful and not too pushy. If it wouldn't have been for them I would have purchased at another place. In the end I ended up getting the best deal in the area on the car I wanted. The five free or changes and two free tire rotations are great bonus as well. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone shopping for a car.

Initial visit was great. They had not inspected vehicle before putting out on the lot for purchase. Ended up having major problems with it and it was in service almost more than I was able to drive it. Think goodness I had the warranty, management did zero to follow up when I had asked about trading the vehicle. Wouldn t recommend using them unless you have someone independently check over vehicle.

Salesman didn't tell me fees before 2 hour drive. Wouldnt let my bank wire funds had to go through there bank and refinance later. Asked if there was any early payoff feees since i was refi the rep said no over and over, nothing on the closing docs guess what there bank charges 175 early pay off fee. Charged me for plates and licensing still had to pay another 110 for plates. ( no idea where that money went. )

Ive tried email and calling and the straight up REFUSE to talk to me after the first email where they lie saying that theybdidnt have that fee when i signed and i called them out on how it was there. They refuse to reimbursed when i have witnesse and written proff that there been in the wrong. ( cause apparently the fee started 5 days after i signed and banks can change there terms whenever after signing is what they tried to say)

Also had the car 1 one month check engine light came up they refuse to give me there warrenty number they said i have for it ive asked 3 times. Took it to my ford dealership here said its going be 1500 to replace but im hoping its still under manufacturing warrenty since they wont respond or nelp.

i bought a jeep worst place they say i never got warranty im still fixing up my truck they scam me and wont help me fix the truck dont recomend this place.

I recently purchased a 2011 Ford Edge from Southwest Auto Sales. I primarily dealt with Vince, but all of the staff members that I encountered were polite and helpful.

Looked at a camaro for my son to take to college in the fall and talked to them several times about one they had. When we drove 2 hrs and 40 min there to look at it , it was in terrible condition. Missing lug nuts, cracked tires that wouldn't make it 20 miles up the road wo a blowout, which I asked about the tires before we drove up there bc I worked for a tire company and they told me the tires were 'good'. Also I understand it is a used vehicle but when it has a door on it from another vehicle, you may wanna have a better paint job. Then when we actually test drove it, we couldn't hear bc of the whining sound being so loud. Assuming its the power steering pump. Not sure how anyone could sell a car as unsafe as this one was to anyone and still sleep at night. we won't ever be back..I had to rate this a one star to post it but wouldn't even give it a 1 if I didn't have too.

I was happy to see that they did what they said. That I would be in something new that day.

upside down , I was misled about sales tax being paid by out of state buyer, I was assured more than once that I would not have to pay sales tax twice , out of state buyers beware .... (got ripped off ) maybe this was out of ignorance or on purpose , but the they was done with me as they got there $$$, did not try to remedy the situation or apologize for there ignorance

Well what I thought was a good experience just turned out to costing me an additional $300+. Was given one key fob, with a blank key that won't even unlock the doors if needed. Was told they had the other key fob, but couldn't find it. So now I just had to buy a new key fob and have it programmed and buy a new key from Cadillac. Once I get the new key I have to take it to a locksmith and have the blank key cut. So make sure that have everything covered before signing paperwork.

Wasted my time. Was looking to get the 04 dakota for $5,000 only to be told "the miles are to high and the year to get it financed." Tried pushing me into a car when I wanted a truck. Super disappointed. Was hoping this would be my car lot to be able to push my friends too.

Southwest auto Sale are the best people ever they take care of you and make sure your every need is took care of. They are really nice and have the best cars for the right money. And keep open communication with them and they will help as much as they can doing what ever your needs are. I love theses guys they are the greatest.

I worked with Kegan. He was easy to work with and had good communication. Was willing to come in on his off day to work better with my schedule. After the purchase having the first 2years of oil change and tire rotations taken care of has been great and the service department typically always has the time openings that I need.

Saw the vehicle adverised from this company on the Internet. Called to get information and purchase this vehicle. We were told by the company that the car was in fantastic condition both inside and out. We told the company we will be driving from four hours away to purchase the vehicle and after making the drive the vehicle was NOT even close to great shape... The entire back of truck had missing paint that someone tried to paint over with what appeared to be white out. Then the interior portion of the vehicle was not only in bad condition there had been a dog that had been in the vehicle and ripped the headliner. There was still dog hair in the vehicle and smeared windows after being told it had gone through a complete detail. Needless to say we drove four hours back home without a vehicle!

I made an inquiry about a vehicle for sale here, was instantly reached out by two different employees about any questions I may have. So far so good, until I asked the questions.
A week goes by, no response from either, and the vehicle is no longer available.
The fall of customer service..

MY wife talked me into buying a truck from this place, and I must say buyer beware!!!!!! I have had this truck just over 1yr and since I have replace the bearing on the passenger side. Which ran me 800.00 to do because of it being 4wd. I also had top replace the water pump a short time down the line. Of which ran me 300.00 to do. The insurance they offer is a joke. Having replace the bearing at the chevy dealer, which tried calling the insurance place several; times with no answer. I got footed with that bill. Now the shift lever will not shift into park properly. Which I expect to run me at least another 300.00 to fix. This place doesn't even deserve the star I gave it. Now I have to make calls to have that done. So be very careful with this place. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

I really enjoyed my truck buying experience at Southwest. Raul is very in tune with the vehicles on the lot. He was very courteous and professional and had the answers to all my questions. They are a very female friendly Shop. A lot of places take advantage of women buyers but Raul was very respectful and repeatedly asked me if I had anymore questions. A very highly rated place to buy a vehicle and I love my F150 I purchased. Great inventory! I am sure anyone could shop this lot and come away with the car they want. Kudos Southwest! You have a customer again should i need another vehicle and I will definitely be referring customers your way.

Talked with them at 4 pm made an appointment to see the truck the next day at 9 am. After driving 100 miles to see the truck on arrival they told me they sold the truck yesterday.

I drove 126 miles after 2 weeks of negotiations with Jason on a cadillac . I was treated very well by all . Jason was excellent ! Thanks to all for honest car buying !!

This was my first time buying my own car as an adult. I bought a 2008 Chrysler LX 300. The day I bought it I was very pleased. P.K. was very helpful with showing what was in budget and going over all the carfax. I was very happy with my first adult purchase. I had to send proof of residence to get my title work. I sent it three times and each time they said it wouldn't work because it had to be within 30 days. I called the BMV to ask what I could do as I do not have a lot of official mail I could use. The BMV told me Indiana law was 60 days. When I told P.K. this he rudely said "well I was always told it was 30 days." Then at 3:40pm, P.K. texted me to come get the title and do it myself, and to come before five. I had to take time out of my day to drive from Ossian to Roanoke to pick up my title. I was incredibly disappointed in the quality of customer service. I paid the BMV taxes as part of the car price for a reason. Also, after being concerned about my incredibly squeaky breaks, I checked the carfax to learn they have not been replaced since 2009. How did this pass the safety test? I'm very disappointed.

Well u definitely have to have alot of money to put on a vehicle there. Wont be stopping there again

Drove an hour to see a van was suppose to have dvd I c as liked on phone you be sure they assured me had dvd. Got there no dvd. Then said they could put one in no charge to me then after test drive told me could put head rest ones in at cost add $600 to cost.... plus van vibrated pretty sure needed tires balanced or aligned but they knew I was coming should been ready. Guy was suppose to call me and have heard anything. Wasnt impressed I'll buy elsewhere

This was my first time purchasing a car on my own, and Southwest Auto Sales really walked me through all the steps and explained everything so well! I couldn't be more happier with my purchase! I will be letting family members know about this dealership so that can look for their cars here as well!
