My review is based on the service department. I would not recommend getting a Mercedes service her (especially if you are out of warranty). They charge more than other Mercedes dealers. Very bad on communication (had my car for almost a month without any updates). Takes extremely long to fix any issues (took about two weeks just to change a battery). My car has been damage by them multiple times and I ve reported it. But they live by the rule can you prove it (so I recommend recording your car before leaving it (in and out). They gave me a loaner car at enterprise but never picked up the tab. So I ended up paying for it. I have so many other things that occurred as well but I ll leave it here. If you decide to use South Bay Mercedes best of luck to you.

The WORST customer service I have ever experienced...

The WORST customer service I have ever experienced !! Jacqlyn Mohl in Service lied to me over & over and was extremely rude and incompetent. Steve, the Service Manager was completely clueless and lied to me as well. They told me to bring my car in to have the airbag recall work done. I drove an hour to the Torrance dealership only to be told when I got there that the parts were not in. So I drove an hour back home... They told me to come back the next day because they promised that the parts would be in... so I drove an hour again... only to be lied to again.. saying that the parts were not in and they had no idea when they would be in. I took 2 days off of work & spent 4 hours of my time & gas driving both days trusting the word of Jacqlyn & Steve. They lied to me both days and I'm disgusted how they could lie to my face and cause such inconvenience to me. I will never go back to that dealership !! I was going to upgrade my Mercedes Benz with a new Mercedes Benz... but now I will probably go to the BMW dealer instead !!!

The service at this location is great. Everytime I...

The service at this location is great. Everytime I bring my car I schedule an appointment with Amilcar and I'm in and out quickly - last time was 15 minutes and that included getting a loaner as well. I also like the fact that they take the time to review your car's history with you on the spot and will let you know if some form of service is NOT needed, opposed to most other auto body shops that will try and squeeze every penny out of your pocket during your visit. South Bay Benz has honored my coupons as well weather I pull them from AutoNation or directly from their dealership site. Each time they complete the work the cost has actually been less than the original estimated quote so I'm usually surprised and delighted when I pick up and pay. Overall, I trust the service at this location for a number of reasons I already stated, but probably most importantly I like bringing my car to South Bay Benz because this particular dealership is tagged on the Mercedes dealership finder as an "AMG Performance Center Elite." As an AMG owner I feel more comfortable bringing my car to a location where I know the service technicians have the specialized knowledge to get the job done. When you pay the price for a nice luxury vehicle like a Mercedes, great service and peace of mind should be expected to come along with the price tag. I find both to be true of MB South Bay which is why I'll keep coming back.

It seems that sales people at Mercedes-Benz of South Bay have no manners and training in customer service. I have been to the dealership yesterday evening and today in the afternoon with my boyfriend. Both days, the sales person, Alejandro mentioned that they have sold out the new CLA that has just come out. I saw several cars in the parking lot, but he claimed that they are already sold and that they wait for the pickup. Today the same thing. My boyfriend called, right after we left the second time, and asked if they have the car for a test drive, another sales person picked it up and said that yes, they do.
On the top of that, Alejandro, the first salesperson, started offering me some programs "that will help me to get the vehicle" before he could find the car and before I could even test drive it. He kept asking me if I am ready to buy it today. I said no, I want to see if this is the car that I really would like to get. Then when we went outside again, he came back and said that they sold the last one and that they don't have any car to test drive it. Honestly, I don't think I would consider buying from them. If they are so customer unfriendly right now, how will they get once I buy the car? I assume worse: they don't care now, and they won't care later!

Made appointment online, Arrived day of appointment (Monday June 3rd 2020) Explained to Frank Perri (service adviser) I needed to travel to Texas in my vehicle . Vehicle service was for air conditioner compressor. My car was there for two 1/2 days when i received a call from Frank advising me the part was not there for my vehicle. Three wasted days. that is error number one. I should not have been allowed an appointment if part is not there and not informed upon arrival.My vehicle repair was not completed till Friday and I found they installed a reconditioned compressor without asking me first if that was acceptable. My nieces birthday celebration was over by then and i never got to attend.

Second error when picked up vehicle noticed right Sunroof shade vent broken while vehicle was in for service. I provided image and was told by Frank he would check camera and get back to me. that call did not happen. I had to call him back. Frank said it was not an expensive part so they would replace. Sunroof Shade vent now ordered, I chose to order hood struts also.
Third error, When i returned to have right side Sunroof Shade vent installed, after they finished the installation i discovered the did a far less than perfect installation, as a matter of fact it was just plain sloppy work to the point where the Sunroof Shade does not slide back and forth with ease, also the upholstery fabric is not hanging down so i cannot ride a passenger in the vehicle and the red glue debris is flying all throughout my vehicle, potentially causing respiratory harm to me.

Frank said he would replace Sunroof shade and i had text him to ask if part has arrived and i have not received any call back from any one.
So now I chose to turn the concern over to Bureau of Automotive Repair. The worst experience I have ever encountered at a MERCEDES BENZ service center. I will never have my vehicle repaired there again . Today's date is July 9th 2020 They do not care that I have to drive my car looking this way. Beyond disappointed!!! He should be fired!!

If you are looking to buy or lease a Mercedes-Benz this is the place to go. I would totally recommend this dealership, especially David Guerra, Mr. Yoo and his team.

If you need help to look for the car of your dreams, go to the reception area and ask for David Guerra and Mr. Yoo. They are simply the best.

Mr. David, Mr. Yoo and his team will take a really good care of you. They are super patient and they will find your dreamed car.

Their customer service is beyond stellar. If I could rate them from 1 to 10, I would give them an 11. Besides, Mr. David Guerra and his team are super welcoming, and they will make you feel like home.

It's been a pleasure of letting them be a part of this unforgettable journey.

Went in for a recall service. Quoted 1.5 hours to 2 hour wait with a complementary car wash. Ended up waiting 3 hours to receive my car back. I understand they may have been busy. But in between that time my service advisor made no contact or follow up with the delay. When I finally got a hold of advisor she told me they were just washing my car. This was to buy more time. I was sitting in showroom the whole time. Furthermore the car was received unwashed and even came with a bonus dirty rag from the maintenance left on the passenger seat. This was unnoticed till I arrived home as the advisor had placed the service paperwork on the passenger seat covering the cloth. Overall not a big deal, but honestly wouldn t waste my time going back in June when I m purchasing my new car. We pay a premium for these cars and the service aspect is lacking. On a side note, facial coverings are required to enter premises and staff are not enforcing this policy. Some people are speaking to advisors without facial coverings and nobody is saying anything. I understand customer service but public health should be more important. Visit was Saturday 9th May 11am.

I was absolutly pleased with the services that I received from Eric Ordonez. He assisted me in making sure that I made the correct decisison for my needs in terms of a vehicle. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. I went in thinking that everything wasnt going to happen within that day, however Eric got everything done and we were able to leave that night in my new vehicle. I also loved the energy that the General Manager Tim Muzyka gave. Looks like i will be a Benz gal for a while. I reccomend that you gosee and ask for Eric O.

Worst service center ever. Now inder they have the lowest reviews on all. Got an appointment on the same day and the when i got in they asked me to wait since it was their lunch time. Now have to wait for 3 hours for an oil change. Staff is simply horrible and incourteous. Everyone from service down to reps are incourteous. Avoid going to this center at all costs.

I just moved to LA and my car broke down 2 days prior to my visit at Mercedes-Benz of South Bay. Ray made my husband and I feel welcomed. Ray was very helpful and patient. The team was polite and professional. They were understanding and continuously followed up with us. I am very happy with my new car and their service. I definitely recommend them!

They are honest with estimates and even came in lower than i expected this time i serviced my 2008 e63. Thank you Sonia and Wil for setting me up!!!!!

Yohan Haddad was an excellent and cheerful salesman with excellent knowledge of this new model car. Since leasing a car from this dealership, I have had to deal w/ a fraudulant check made off my account just one week later, the check info and copy of signature were obtained solely from Mercedes South Bay as no other check had been written off this account. I was told checks are scanned then voided, then shredded, but apparently someone has to take the check upstairs to get scanned, then someone shreds it, so at some point someone got to copy this check, make a fake one and cash it. I now have to deal w/ a Mercedes American Express card with an annual fee, I never signed up or asked for this card, yet received the annual fee bill today. Thank you for protecting my private information Mercedes of South Bay!!! Still waiting for you to call me back by the way.....

First time there wasn t too good, the guy helping was in a rush to go home cause it was so near close time. However, the next day I went back and received a much better experience after I told them how I was treated the day before. I received great service, was shown multiple cars and found the exact one I needed. Definitely a great experience.

I use the online system to book for the service. My service personal was not available due to her personal reason, and it took about 40 mins to assign me a new service personal. For the service estimate price which was given by the service personal, the estimate price is way higher than the actual amount was different than the online service reservation system. Be careful on their estimated service cost. Check the online first and compare with the given estimate in person.

I'm giving this dealership,the Representative and the Dealer General Manager high marks. I was rather concerned that the dealer had been rated in the 3 star range and what that would mean to me. I was considering going to another dealer as a result. The new General Manager, Tim Muzyka, who has only been there for a short time is aware that there have been unhappy customers in the past and was brought in to make this a top performing dealer. It is Mercedes after all and top quality sales and service should be what customers expect....and then receive. Right?

So far so good. Daniel Sombrio, our representative, is excellent and really worked to find the car we wanted. We eventually ordered it from Germany and he was on top of the schedule until we received the car. We took delivery 2 days ago. I trust that the new General Manager and his team will continue to up their performance one customer at a time. My turn was this week and everything was excellent. Hopefully you will have the same experience.

So take the reviews that are positive and negative...read them carefully as there is always good perspective. But I would highly recommend this dealer based on my recent experience with them. Hope this helps with your shopping. RKL.

I purchase a used vehicle from South Bay Mercedes ...

I purchase a used vehicle from South Bay Mercedes on Feb 3, 2013. The same day the check engine light comes on. A week later, a prompt came up stating i needed to change the oil. Realizing something wasn't right, I check the rest of the vehicle, I noticed none of the maintenance was done. The brakes were bad and the rotors were needing to be changed. Air filter in the car was bad. Wipers were torn. The Alignment was completely out of spec and i needed to take it a mechanic to get it aligned. They changed only three tires and one tire is needs to be changed at (cost 300 to change one tire). And as of this week, i need a new battery. If you are buying a new car from them, it is fine, but if you buy it used, buyer beware!!! They do not check the vehicles at all!!! I would think buying from a big Mercedes dealer would give me piece of mind, but it doesn't. Needing to do all this in less than one month after purchasing the car is a bit much.

Also, there service department does need a lot of work with there customer service. My first experience, they lost my keys and the second, a complete nightmare. They took my vehicle and promised me to pick me up from my location. Then when my car was ready for pick up. They stated Beverly Hills was over their mileage restrictions(something that should of been mentioned before I towed it would be nice instead of getting me stranded without a vehicle).

I made an appointment on line where they indicated that I would get a loaner car. I confirmed the next day only to find out from Maggie that they need to be reserved a week in advance. I told her that I had work appointment and needed a car. See had no solution and asked if I wanted to cancel. I later called back to speak to the Manger who did not pick up so I left a message. I never got a call back.
I then called Long Beach Mercedes where they took great care of me and a loaner right away.

Very disappointed. I brought my car in for a repair and a service and instead of $3,000 as per estimate they wanted to charge me over $9,000. My car was driving perfectly fine when I dropped it off but since I got it back my car has problems starting up (despite a new battery that I was told was absolutely necessary). Not a fan. Will think twice about taking my car there in the future.

April Stewart is the best service consultant at Mercedes of South Bay who care about her clients.
She called and reported the status of the vehicle daily and prepare and took care any necessary paperwork/loaner before I arrived.
I go in and able to get out of the dealer in 15 minutes. Thanks April!

The staff is really nice but I didn't appreciate being told my car was still under warranty and to bring it in for them to look at my transmission, only to be told after I arrived it wasn't and I would have to pay for them to look at the transmission and cover whatever they needed to fix. This was especially frustrating because it was only a couple weeks after I brought my car in and paid $900 for the B servicing. Which BTW, I'm still not sure what all they do. I was a bit frustrated because the transmission issues began immediately after they completed this service.
