My husband says their recipe is different than how it was 25 yrs ago (he grew up eating Sonny's). Most pizzas are thin crust even the ones you think are going to be hand tossed are pretty thin. It's apparent to us that this company cuts corners in order to make (save?) A buck. Our Margherita Pizza had very light sauce on, little to no tomatoes and the basil was chopped so small that the taste was hardly there. They never seem to have pizza specials and even their smallest cheese pizzas are very expensive. We had previously ordered a tomato pie (a pizza without cheese; basically just pizza sauce and crust) from them and it was just as expensive as a regular pizza. The only thing good about our visit was the cheese curds.. though we don't understand why they are served with ranch sauce as marinara complements them even more.
