Solware Review

Fantastic shop, coffee as soon as we walked through the door, extremely happy with the service and the prices. Will defiantly recommend to friends and will be back again.

Had some issues with a used Ultra mmc single shot I brought from Solware last month. I took it back and they sent it away to be fixed. When it came back I got it home and it still wasn't right. I emailed them and they asked me to bring it back again. When I got there they took it back and gave me a new Ultra multi shot SE in walnut! Each time I've been in, I've been well looked after and shown anything I want to look at. Prices are good. With how they sorted my problem out, I can only recommend this shop. They also did me a good deal on a swift stumpy moderator. Very happy.

The online part of the business is ok they a good selection
But the delivery time is very poor considering there is a minimum charge of 5.50 for first class. I have only ordered from them twice but both times I have had to wait at least 4 working days fory parcels to arrive.

It's an ace little shop and the staff were very welcoming, even to a newbie in a suit! They started by offering me a brew - I ended up buying an air rifle, scope, bag and pellets on my first visit.

Unfortunately, the rifle wasn't suitable. I called them the next day to explain and Bill offered to take it back and ordered something else for me. Popped in after work to collect it tonight and he was happy to swap the scope over and set it up. Fantastic, old school customer service!

As someone who is new to the sport, a visit to a shop full of experts can be daunting - not so with Solware :) I will definitely be returning to buy and learn more.

Brilliant service staff very helpful over the phone and recommended part which was suitable for my rifle un seen. Transaction completed within 5 mins and delivered the following day in less than 24 hours will be recommending to my club members at Scarborough &District Rifle club.

In short everything the shooter might need. Don't take my word for it, try them for your next purchase and see just how good they are.

If you want top of the range, they can do that too. Not pushy, a really pleasant experience. I can see myself spending more time here. It was well worth traveling 95 miles to visit this shop.

An Aladdin's cave. Everything you could possibly want.

What a great bunch of guys. Given loads of advice and a cuppa (while I was wearing a shirt and tie not shooting gear may I add). Took home a new rifle which with no fault of theirs had a manufacturing issue only found after a couple of fills. Replaced the next day which developed the same issue (bad batch of seals). Courier collected the same day and new rifle with benefits arrived the same week. They couldn't do enough for me, even offering me a selection of loan guns to shoot that weekend. You will not be disappointed.

My local RFD and one of the best in country as far as I m concerned. Always welcomed with a brew and a choccy biscuit, they give unbiased advice and they suggest something for your needs, rather than just selling you what they want.

Top guys and a top gun shop!

Very helpful staff and very knowledgeable about all their products ,they also recommend you obtain the correct accessories to save you forgetting something ,(i.e.oil ,pellets,bb,s gas)they will try to get a product for you if they don,t have it in stock .

BEWARE: Brought a gun off them a while back broke within 2 months of buying tryed to send it back they told me there nothing to do with it

I visited the shop for the first time on Friday. The staff are very helpful, friendly and professional. It's a small shop but with a large range of products and knowledgeable staff.

I've been in a couple of times in the last six weeks for bits and bobs (a 300bar bottle, cleaning kit, pellets etc) and have to say the lads are really friendly and give great, no BS service. Well worth a visit.

Brought a gun from here today it s the best gun shop iv ever been staff are excellent very knowledgeable they even set the scope up for me at no extra charge will definitely be using again thanks guys

I bought an air pistol from Solware a while back, I required extra magazines for my gun so I messaged on the website, got a response not long after, guys at Solware did me a real good deal for the x2 magazines, I was also given the opportunity to shoot a German air rifle which made my day! Great prices, but it's the customer service that makes it brilliant. Visited today to purchase air rifle, offered coffee/tea straight away and helped to choose best products for me. They also went above and beyond to help set up the scope and rifle.

I cannot recommend Solware highly enough, it's so rare to meet a gun salesman with such integrity, the staff are knowledgeable and helpful, the pricing is straightforward and they are very competitive, great stock, great deals but most of all just nice people to deal with.

Visited here in the summer, the reviews on here doesnt do them gents justice. Fantastic customer service from the phone to the shop. Called in advanced and collected my 177 rifle no issues at all. They even set it up for me for free. Offered refreshments and sweets to my younger siblings, they still talk about the hospitality of solware to this day. Hope to do business again soon !

I drive all the way from Oxford just to come to Solware and I will continue to do so for all my airgun needs. By far the cheapest air gun suppliers in the country and a really nice bunch of helpful blokes to. They won t sell you something you don t need or want and they ll let you try out a 2nd hand equivalent in there shooting range before you buy.
I wanted a hard to find limited edition air rifle I couldn t get anywhere else and amazingly they had one in stock 10/10

Yet again Solware exceed my expectations , first class customer service. Not only are they very competitive on price when you buy goods or PX goods when you do have an issue with a product they have bent over backwards to get it sorted fast (was not there fault)
I can not recommend them highly enough and would not purchase goods from any other store.

every time i go there they sort me out, they are a great bunch of lads who give gr8 advice and WILL NOT SELL YOU SOMETHING YOU DO NOT NEED just to make a sale, they give you honest impartial advice based on there years of experience and what there customers relay back to them,
i`m glad i found them and i have had some fantastic advice on items, and if they haven`t got it in they do there best to get it for you and give you a phone call to let you know they have it in
and there is all ways a coffee or a tea for ya while you are chatting or just browsing the shop

I came into the store yesterday, never purchased an Air Gun before but the guys here are so helpful. From when I walked in they offered me a coffee which was very nice. They took their time into explaining about the firearm I was looking for and led me to the final decision. I have not yet tried the Air Pistol I purchased as I'm waiting to go to the range but overall I am very satisfied and would recommend to anyone.

Excellent customer service and a pleasure to deal with. Started off with a call at 8:55 (too eager I know, but i'd been reviewing guns overnight and was busting to get one and chanced my arm with an early call!). Answered politely and I asked about a Gamo Coyote Tactical .22 rifle. They had 1 in stock and would I like them to put it to one side for me. Yes please and I'll be there in a couple of hours (no longer had to rush out without breakfast or a cuppa).

When I arrived all the signs were there about the service, staff in company t-shirts helping another customer put their purchase in their car and a pleasant goodbye with a handshake. It boded well!

I was greeted and the first thing they asked was would I like a cup of tea or coffee. I'm awkward and asked did they have sweetners (catches most cafe's out) and yes they did!

Coffee in hand I was then asked by the youngest member of staff in the shop what could he do to help (apologies I am terrible with names and was too busy looking wide eyed at all their stuff for sale!). I mentioned my previous call and another very tall guy popped his head around the corner and said the gun was all ready for me. So far so good!

Said young man unboxed the rifle to show me and asked if there was anything else I needed. I mentioned a silencer and he proceeded to show me a good range, fitted them all to the gun and test fired them to show me the quality. Easy to choose when shown what they can do.

Silencer purchased I then asked about a bag although I mentioned that I had just bought a new one for my old gun but not to sure if it would fit. He said bring it in and we will check. Looked a bit short but he did advise me to take off the silencer after use as my bag had a pocket for it to live in and they recommend not transporting a gun with the barrell extended if possible. Seemed sensible and saved me a new bag.

He asked would I like to see any scopes and I mentioned that I had just bought a new one that was on my old gun. This is where the customer service went into overdrive! He asked if I would like him to swap it over and sight it up for me. I also mentioned that I still had the old scope for my old gun and he also refitted that and sighted that one up as well! Helped me to my car and I got the obligatory farewell.

I am one very happy customer. Never written a review in my life so sorry that you got war and peace but I really felt urged to let them know how impressed I was. This is not my local shop but it will be the only destination for anything air gun related until someone can beat their offer and customer service. Well done guys (and one lady that I saw)

Thanks to the lads at Solware my Son and I are the proud and delighted owners of the new Steyr Pro X Scout. Superb service, the lads got the kettle on as soon as we walked through the door. It was our first visit and well worth the 350 mile round trip. The store is a veritable Aladdin's Cave and the staff are so helpful. I'm of the belief that if you can't find it at Solware there's every chance that it doesn't exist. A superb buying experience and can't recommend the staff and service at Solware enough

Brought 2 pellet guns was supposed to be new but was secondhand happened twice second gun when tested was faulty

I travaled traveled 60 miles to the shop, and the two guy were very nice, and helpfull,with what i asked. I did a part exchange, with them for a walker p38 for a Luger PO 8. they also put an Marushin Derringer in also, Plus as they did not have any ammo in for the Derringer one of the chaps gave me a nice bag full from his own in his car. To me this was over the top and very nice. will tell my friends about them. and if i nead a new gun later i will go there again.

Simply a type & level of service which we imagine had died in the era of rationing or gas-lit streets. What an awesome, erudite, experienced & friendly crew. I actually as a result research what I want on the Internet (often a famous retailer starting with 'Pell') - & then buy it physically from these guys! Oh yeah - excellent prices, to boot! Where's the sixth Star option!?
(N.B. They also stock the genuine Umarex 88g Co2 canisters (pictured) - which wasn't clear from the actual product page, but which I was very happy to discover!)

Solware are definitely one of the best firearms dealers in the country, run by enthusiastic staff for shooters. But don't take my word for it... Get yourself over to Tamworth and pay them a visit, you certainly won't regret it

I couldn't fault this shop. The guys here are very knowledgeable about the sport and all of the products that they are selling. They've been amazing at helping me to get myself set up as a starter to the sport. I'm very happy with the kit that I have come away with and the service than I have received. I would definitely recommend coming to here for any of your rifle needs. On top of this they also have the most competitive pricing that I have found too!

Called in yesterday having not owned a rifle in 15 years. I wanted a decent air rifle within a budget for pest control and to teach my son to shoot.
