I was greeted at my car with a wheelchair. I was taken straight into triage and on to my tests. Every staff member along the way was polite and caring. I was out in two hours. I felt like I mattered and wasnt a burden.

The Physician and the Physician assistant were awesome. Seemed as though they really cared and took the time to listen.
The nurses on the other hand lacked basic nursing skills such as knocking before entering, invasion of privacy when given a gown, which Heather gave me and proceeded to stay in the room with the nurse she was training. I had to literally get up with an awful headache and go into the bathroom to change.
The nurse that did my discharge was very sweet and I dont remember her name, put the blood pressure cuff on wrong to do the final vitals before discharge. The line for the artery wasn't even lined up with my artery, giving me a unusually low bp reading which was charted! (medical error!!)

Every time I ve ever gotten any answers about my health it s always been from Soin. I ve got several issues and the nurses in ER and on 3rd floor are wonderful. The staff is nice. I ve only had to wait once in ER and it was packed and I only waited 20min so not bad. I get great care with nice and kind people no complaints

As a nursing student, I would not recommend going to the ER here. I would take the time to drive 20 minutes to Miami Valley in Centerville. I took my friend to the ER last night and we waited an hour to get her in a bed. She was in visible pain when we walked in and yet another girl went in before us who looked as if she just had a cold. They do not seem to care about who is in more critical pain and just who got there first. Once we got a bed she was given a thin blanket and was told to take her clothes off and get into a gown. Luckily we knew they had heated blankets so we requested to get some. An hour passed until she received them. The nurse took blood and urine that was supposed to be tested. We never saw those results. We were also placed next to a lady who had been violently throwing up for the entire 6 hours we were there. The nurse even admitted to us that, that was her room yet she had not been in there for hours. Hearing the lady consistently throwing made my friend also throw up. Around midnight my friend was taken in for a CT scan and we waited 30 minutes for results that they said were negative. Today she got a call saying that she has a severe kidney infection, blood in her urine, a cyst on her kidney and a distended gallbladder. They sent her home with only nausea medication and Advil. Her family doctor had to call her and tell her what the she had been diagnosed with. The nurse asked us what we were going to school for and when I said nursing she immediately tensed up and disregarded what I had said. She knew that I knew what procedures should be done and how someone should be cared for. The doctor, Dr. Balonier, was the one to come in to discuss the CT scan and he did not seem to care at all. He was in and out within 2 minutes. I had to stop him so I could ask a question. Usually they would ask if we had any questions before being discharged. This was an all around terrible experience and I was able to see all of their flaws. Take he time and go somewhere else!!!

I went in 2 days ago and was there 24 hours. My first nurse, Rachel, was amazing but then she left. The next nurse was super slow (1 1/2 hours) late on getting me pain meds. The heart doctor didn't even go over my tests WITH me and then refused to come talk with me regarding pain I was still having. TERRIBLE HOSPITAL. Never going back.

Everyone was very nice and professional. They kept me informed about what they were doing and why. Many went over and above their jobs like Dr. Gonzales, Pierre from surgery team, Dr Johnson from surgery. I didnt get everyone's name but some were a nurse Michelle, PT girls, Jade and I wish I could tell you more but I can't remember the rest. I was in med surg

The nurses and assistants were excellent.

The nurses and assistants were excellent.
But I stayed in the hospital for to long due to some kind of disagreement or confusion over my home medication.
I was repeatedly told I would be discharged today or tomorrow.
I was told by one doctor that I was good but had to stay another day!?
Next day I was told by another doctor I had stay ANOTHER DAY!
It was if the unit had never seen a heart attack and stent implacement.
I would like to thank the lady from health and home (not sure about title) for help in getting the cost of Eliquis down to $0.
Also the pharmacy staff
And so, Finally getting me out of there!

I give a 1 star because that's as low as it allows. My mom (75 yrs old) had a heart attack and congestive heart failure. They ' forgot ' to send her home with a diuretic and 2 days later we were back with congestive heart failure again. They gave her a shot the next day and she kept bleeding from it and I'm talking soaking the gauze. Had to change her gown 3 times. They wanted to send her home. I said i didn't feel comfortable taking her home while she was bleeding . At about 6:20 one of her nurses came in and said the supervisor wanted her out by 6:45 or she would have her escorted out! Then they didn't want to give me the supervisors name. She still had an IV in her arm! She also had no discharge papers yet. I took her home bleeding. She bled for 12 hours before we got it stopped ourselves. WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!

If you want a whole family experience, choose a different medical center. My son and his wife have always been allowed to keep the youngest during the birth of most recent baby (just had their 6th). This has aided in the bonding of the child to the baby. This was not allowed this time, even though 4 years ago at this same facility it WAS. Big disappointment.

The emergency room doctor was the most incompetent and rudest person I have ever met. I would not take my family pet to be treated there. Please, if you need medical attention go to a facility that is trained to treat sick people.

They were compassionate, friendly, and quick!
My only negative is that the people who tape up/boot up people with injured feet are poorly trained in both proper fitting and application of said devices... thus causing even more safety hazards for them once they leave the ER. Poor young thing tried to put me in a device that was easily 2x the necessary size, and would have caused further injury. I had to tell this person that it was not going to work, that I would require a smaller size... for anyone not able to communicate this for themselves, they would have left with a sloppy clown shoe to trip over.

Nice place and people. My only problem was the miscommunication that happened a lot. That should not happen when it comes to people s Heath and medicine. Also, if you expect something done when they told you. That s gonna be probably an hour in delay.

Surgery was right on schedule, no complications, food was great, nursing service was very good too. I had no pain with the surgery and only one time in the room the next day. I would recommend Soin for same day type surgeries.

Courteous, prompt, and organized from the very start at ER registration desk. Promptly roomed despite the (all area hospitals included) 20 to 50 patient backlog d/t Influenza B/A. The staff love their work and workplace, and performed their jobs energetically; I wasn t just another client they needed to treat and street .
At every level, Nursing, MD, housekeeping, dietary- I received respect and TIME. The staff was familiar and informed with my test results when I had questions that needed answered. I have a direct healthcare job, so I know the difference. Further, all was done easily and without a flurry of activity needed. (Like Pigpen, from Charlie Brown, without the swirling dust cloud!)
I came from a small, close city with it s own hospital- I chose (and will choose again, if needed) to go to Soin for my healthcare needs.

I was treated very well. I was checked on often and when I put my call light the person who answered was very pleasant and a staff .member came to take care of me. The only change I would make would be the menu.

Took care of My fishing lure that I had embedded in my hand after catching a fish. Painlessly and quickly. Jade made my visit extra special. Thx Jade an everyone else that was involved.

EVERYONE here was wonderful and made a scary experience much more comfortable. The ER staff were attentive, very kind and efficient. The 4th Floor staff did everything with a smile and made all the poking and prodding as easy as it could be. All of my Doctors were beyond what I could have hoped for! They were not quick to do invasive procedures (Perforated ruptured appendix) due to severe internal swelling and mangled angriness of my belly and stressed my heath and preventing further complications as number one, forgoing surgery for IV antibiotics. No one ever wants to be in the hospital but I am beyond glad that I was directed here, best choice!

When I needed mental help they got me in right a way and was seen quickly. They also made sure I had a drink as snack while I was waiting for my ride to pick me up. If you ever want to go to an emergency/hospital with kind friendly staff I'd definitely recommend this hospital!

I was at Soin few years ago. The place has improved in my opinion. It was satisfactory then and now it s in the very good range. I liked the fact that they answered every one of my questions about my treatment thoroughly. That built a confidence factor within me and calmed my nervousness tendencies many people have when going into a hospital.

Our experience was good this time, but the last time my husband was admitted to have an IV flush out dangerously high levels of magnesium. When he got to his room, the nurses said he was all set and went out the door. I called them back and had to tell them what to do. He was at risk of a heart attack and the IV was critical in preventing one. If I hadn't been there....it should not be up to the family to keep a look out.
My grandson went to their ER with a badly cut hand. They said it would be ok and sent him home, doing nothing for him. A few days later he was admitted to Kettering Hospital for a week as they tried to save his hand. If Soin had treated him, that would not have happened.

I love Soin. I wouldn't go to another hospital. Every time I've been to Soin I've gotten exceptional treatment. They are great about getting into detail about what's wrong and running several test to make sure they've check everything. The nurse's are amazing at keeping you comfortable and informed about all procedures. Soin is a great hospital!!

Went here after my car accident, the nurses in the emergency room were very nice and supportive. I was only here a day so my visit was not extensive or anything like that but anything I needed, I was able to get. The people doing my scans and whatnot also seemed professional and nice, I did end up here around 10 PM though so maybe it was because it was slow, either way though I had a good experience!

Absolutely horrible, went to ct scan came back and found my things at the nurses desk I was placed in a chair in the hallway . At least 4 rooms were empty that I could I see from my hallway chair. They remained empty till i was discharged. Doctor was a know it all tool that wouldn't answer questions. Immediately went to a different hospital and was diagnosed with kidney stones. Soin refused me any medication and treated me like a unwanted burden

Watch your insurance and incoming bills. I went in...

Watch your insurance and incoming bills. I went into the ER, which is in network for my insurance, paid a $100+ dollar copay on site, and two months later I'm getting a separate bill from a Kettering Network Radiologist Inc. Must be some kind of sub-contracting going on, which is fine, but the sub-contractor should never be billing me directly in my opinion after a copay was collected at time of service. Now I have to make phone calls and try to untangle what I'm sure is a billing/insurance mess.

Update: I did get this sorted out. I had to call Soin and Kettering Network Radiologist. Kettering Network Radiologist re-processed my insurance and everything was covered appropriately in the end. It's frustrating that this is so common, I've learned this is not unique to Soin after asking some friends but I'm not used to dealing with it because I've used a lot of military health care. Upped the rating by a star because this is apparently common but I still think these things should setup in a way that patients don't have to make all these phone calls and mess around even when they have good insurance.

The dye used in MRI backed up in my arm because it didnt filter and I had to go to ER to have it looked at.. when I called with my concerns Brittany said I should have said something that day, but how was I to know the pain I was feeling wasn't normal and the bulge I had in my arm wasnt typical?? She was rude and I ended up in ER to have it checked.. now almost a week later, still in pain.

Thank you Dr. Proctor for the phone call.

Thank you Dr. Proctor for the phone call.
After my care, I called my doctor the next day, as instructed, but my test results had not resulted. Instead of having to wait all weekend, Dr. Proctor called on his Saturday off to tell me the results.

I came in at 9:40 pm and I was seen by two doctors and a nurse, checked out and diagnosed by 10:16. I was so very pleased with the genuine concern that every single one of the workers had for me. I really appreciate the care that was given at Soin!! Signed Stacy Harrison

I certainly received excellent care while I was hospitalized. Every person who came through my door wanted to know if I needed anything. Dr Patel was a godsend. She came to see me several times after I was out of the emergency room. She shared her medical knowledge with me about my Congestive Heart Failure. Appreciated that very much. Soin Hospital is definitely top notch in the area.

These guys are the worst medical staff I have ever seen. They completly ignored my wife's conditions never gave her pain medications until forced by me after her surgery. The staff refused to help my wife bathe after her c section. Also after my wife having preclamptic symptoms they refused to treat it until water started filling her lungs. The doctors then stated oh well we should have done something sooner. This hospital is a joke and they are going to get someone killed. If I had a good lawyer I'd file a medical Mal practice suit against them. I feel like they are dilibertly letting my wife's condition deteriorate to defraud the insurance company.

I went into Soin ER after I passed out. I assumed I was having a Ulcerative Colitis flair up. Turns out, my heart was weak and not adequately suppling blood to my brain and extremities, causing the dizziness and fainting.
I was admitted and with 3 days I had a pacemaker installed. EVERY SINGLE NURSE on the 2nd floor deserves a raise! Everyone was kind, compassionate and exceedingly knowledgeable. They made me feel like family, not a patient and I will NEVER forget their kindness!
The doctors were quick and through, leaving no stone unturned while they looked for what was making me ill. They truly SAVED MY LIFE, I will never go to another hospital again!

For the most part - a very good experience. Very busy while we were there - triage - believe his name was Dave - in Emergency Room was great. Doctor in ER was great. Nurse in ER not so much. After a wait, the nurse could not get a blood vessel to do blood work so she said she would ask another - who did not come for 45 minutes. She got the vein on her first try and collected the tubes of blood but left them on the counter. Original nurse did not return to room and I noticed that the tubes of blood were still sitting on the counter 45 minutes later. I went to the desk to report the blood tubes issue but no one came in to get them. A different nurse came in to get an EKG and I told her about the tubes of blood and she labeled them and sent them on to the lab. At this time - around 9:00 - my husband said he had to use the bathroom - and the nurse advised that they would need a urine sample - something that had not been mentioned in the six hours we had been there. After his bathroom visit I brought the urine back to the room and told the nurse it was there on the counter. When I left the hospital at 10:30 - it was still sitting on the counter.

We arrived at 3:00 pm and the doctor decided that due to some health issues my husband has, he and his specialists wanted him moved to Kettering Hospital. I was told around 9:30 that transport was requested but that it would take awhile. I finally left the hospital at 10:30 and I understand that transport arrived between midnight and 1:00 am. I know the ER staff had no control over the transport time and I am not taking them to task about the delay - just mentioning it to show a time-line.

We were pleased with most everyone we encountered - the only problem was with the nurse assigned. Even though it was a busy Saturday night - there was no reason for some of the delays - especially the issue with the blood sitting on the counter for over an hour before it was sent to the lab., and the urine sitting on the counter for at least 1 1/2 hours. Other than those issues, as I said previously, my husband received great care on his visit to the ER. The ER doctor came in several times to let us know what was happening and to check on us, and we were very pleased with his care.

The facility is new and really amazing, as well as the staff. I asked several nurses if they enjoyed working there and I kept getting the same answer that the top level administration makes it all about the staff, which is rare in some facilities. If the staff is happy they pass that along to the patients. Wait time was not that long, but it was very efficient and kept us informed of any delays. The doctor was so knowledgeable and explained everything, and took a lot of time to ensure I understood the plan. This will be the facility I come back to!

a friend had twins here, and another had a chest pain scare 2 different times. As an acute care cardiac RN, I saw no issues during my visits and felt good vibes from the facility in general. My friends all seemed satisfied with their care from a reasonable stand point. 5 visits and no complaints so far from any of the 3 adults! :)

I was very impressed with the Fast Track Care unit.
I came in with acute asthma tightening and severe cough. Feeling miserable. Wasn't looking forward to lying in an emergency bed for hours
I was able to get the needed care quickly and responsibly. Staff was great and showed patience and restraint with my babling. Lol
Yes I would recommend Soin Medical center very highly!
Thank you

I had to be admitted for a night and every single employee i came into contact with was absolutley amazing. They were so accommodating and kind. No matter what i asked for, or what i needed they went out of their way to help me. I cannot say enough about how incredible they all were. This is the only hospital i will go to from now on.

My experience at Soin was great. I had a procedure which required an overnight stay. From my surgeon, Dr. Hess, to the anesthesiologist, the nurses, house keeping PT and OT and dining services, everyone I interacted with made me feel at home. They valued me, what I had to say and they listened. I had ample opportunities to ask questions, voice my thoughts, and listen and process information provided to me.

I truly felt well taken care of.

Thank you everyone at Soin who were involved in my care. I appreciate you!

I have had a number of procedures done at Soin. The staff has been helpful and thorough. The billing department was also great to work with. Additionally, my four times at the ER (once for myself and three with others), were handled professionally. I was always treated with respect. Bottom line: I would not hesitate to go to Soin Medical Center.

The staff at Soin are SO kind, attentive to every need . Their professionalism is unmatched! My ER visit was thorough, not rushed like other hospitals have been in my past visits. I was attended to almost immediately, from the nurses to the doctors, to registration and then CT. They controlled my pain as needed and kept me informed of everything that was going on and what to expect next. I would highly recommend Soin hospital to everyone!!
