I went in concerned I'd broken my fibula in a fall at home. Due to the immediate tightening of my skin from the bruising, I was more concerned about developing compartment syndrome. I was immediately taken to an exam room. Even though it was shift change, I received a prompt evaluation. There was no lengthy wait for my x-ray. The staff was professional and friendly.

After staying in the Emergence Room For 7 hrs. this was un called for saying waiting on bed Well let me tell you after I had to get on the people in the Emergence Room told them they were going to get my wife a bed or I was taking her home. it was not 5 min. until they was there transporting her. Said they had to admit her to monitor her heart. Never once was there was a heart monitor hook up to her. I feel this was just to get more money from my insurance. on the way to her room I took notice of how many empty beds there was when we got off the elevator the first 5 rooms/Beds were empty and then ever other one after that.

Was very pleased with the whole process. Was seen right away and concern was shown for how I was feeling. Tested were run and results were discussed. Really liked the resident on staff. Her manner made it easy to work with her.

I had a stroke the previous week and was admitted to the (stroke) 4th floor. I had problems with the nurses not understanding the heart medicine (Sotolol) I was taking. I was suppose to take it on a 8 to 8 schedule. I feel that the nurses on the 4th floor were not aware of its requirements. More education on heart meds would be helpful to them.

I have had to go to soin for a variety of reasons over the years, the most reoccurring visit having to do with a wrist injury. I had taken a heavy fall and broke a carpal bone in my wrist. all that was taken was an Xray which was able to identify my fracture, however, and it pains me to say, the negligence of my doctor has resulted in a painful condition that I will have for rest of my life.. after a full year of assuming I had just broken my wrist, a painful clunking persisted and I returned to get it analyzed. took two weeks to get me into and MRI and another 2 to get the results. sent to 2 different specialists because no one knew what was going on... I landed at southwest orthopedics where there finally told me, after a year and half, that I have mid carpal instability. I presume that I got this condition the moment i broke my wrist.. and I believe had I had gone to the right doctor my condition would have been identified sooner and I wouldn't be living with this lifelong disability.

Soin is physically clean and inviting. The personnel are efficient and helpful. I went to the ER with back pain. The nice people there asked the same questions over and over. The same answer: No chest pain, just back pain. I was released after 2 hours (EKG/chest X-ray) with advice to see my physician because "since you came in with chest pain...."

Soin has the best Labor and Delivery staff! All of the nurses, lactation consultants, midwives and doctors were extremely accommodating and made our stay wonderful, despite some of the delivery complications. I would recommend Soin to all my friends and family. We were just treated so well by everyone!

Special shout out to my favorite nurses, Sam, Martha and Leona. You guys are the best!

They took very good care of my husband after colon surgery. He was a bit grumpy at times, but they took it all in stride, and did their job wonderfully. All staff and doctors were excellent, friendly, and informative.

My experience at Soin last week was great. Everyone was attentive, helpful and caring. My wife and I both felt I received great nursing care. Joe in the recovery room was wonderful and we enjoyed talking with him as we waited for my room to be cleaned. The entire staff from when we entered the hospital, through pre-op, surgery, post-op, my overnight stay, and then discharge were all professional, kind and attentive. Many thanks.

From the moment I came into the ER, I was well taken care of! Every staff member, from the kitchen (Daniel), house keeping (William and Mary), respiratory therapy (Kacee and Chris), physicians (Dr. Lakes, Dr. Brutus and Dr. Ghrandi), nursing staff (Sabrina, Kelli, Cindy, Julie, Diane, Morgan, Tori and Tonya), and nursing assistants (Elaine, Chrissey and Sam), the radiology staff, occupational therapists, transport (Paul and Brandon) and phlebotomist (Alexis) were exceptional!
Unfortunately, the only negative encounter I had was ER nurse Jason R.N. He was my first contact and was rude and impatient with me. Especially, because I couldn't breathe/talk.. When he was firing questions at me. I was scared and alone (husband not allowed in to speak for me), and he was not compassionate.
Other than Jason, my experience was amazing! A huge thank you to every one and any one else I forgot to mention!

Had to go here for a lab draw- absolutely horrible!!! The girl, Alyssa, had NO IDEA what she was doing! Hands were shaking, missed my vein and dug the needle around until she finally gave up and called somebody else, when I had already been waiting for nearly an hour. I thought the place would be fine since a family member worked there but I found myself disappointed. Suffice to say, if you get Alyssa- ask for someone else!!!

Not sure what's going on with this place. The first time I went they couldn't find my issue and simply sent me home with nausea and bowel spasm meds. Except when I got to the pharmacy to fill them, I realized they had someone else's name on them! They had been mistakenly given to me because I had the same birthday as someone else. This is a pretty serious error. I couldn't fill them, obviously.

I was there again this past Tuesday for dehydration after major surgery. They gave me fluids and said I might have a UTI which they were going to test for. Said I'd hear from them if I had one. Great!

I didn't get a call back but I am still having UTI symptoms so I called just to check and make sure. I was told that in my file it said the lab was 'canceled' but didn't say why. That it could've broken and I was already gone so they couldn't get another, etc. (Apparently they are juggling urine specimens around because I can't imagine how else this would happen). So basically they never even tested it! And I never would've known if I hadn't called to check because they didn't bother to let me know!

The woman recommended I go to my primary care doctor. Great. That means more money, another appointment, and days more suffering over something that should've been handled already! But I have no choice because I am still in pain.

Really unprofessional and makes me question the capability of their staff. Not sure I will consider them next time I have an emergency.

I was given such wonderful care by all of the staff at Soin Hospital. On a scale of 1-10, I would say they would all get between a 12-15! Such wonderful workers who make each patient feel special.

The staff and nurses overall were excellent. However there seemed to be much confusion as to needed treatment and the priority of that treatment. I am reluctant to return to Soin. I had two separate issues and only one doctor seemed to be able accept that, which then delayed the treatment I received.

I had fallen in the night and apparently hit my head, as was evidenced in the morning, by my bloody hair. My husband took me to Soin ER. We were taken immediately to a room. The doctor showed up moments later for the initial exam. The registration fellow joined us soon after, and the attending physician, though somewhat delayed by an actual emergency, was there quickly, as well. Though I didn t not need treatment, a lot of questions and exams were done just to be sure I was, indeed, okay. The nurse then arrived not long after the doc was finished, to go over dismissal papers, and we were on our way. My experience made going to the ER far more pleasant than it could have otherwise been.

I wouldn't send my worst enemy here. My husband was in agony with kidney stones- first we waited for over 1 1/2 hours to even get out of the waiting room, while the so called nurse the desk played on her phone. Then it took over 40 minutes from the time seeing the doctor to get anything for the pain, during which time we had to listen to employees stand around in the hallways and gossip. We'll never go to a Kettering owned hospital again.

These guys were great when I broke my ankle 3 years ago 2016.

This time 2019 I felt like I was in the way, they were so busy they parked me in the emergency room hallway and bad things were happening and I could hear them happening (not the best when you re there because your blood pressure is super high already).

Some of the staff was great while some just didn t follow through.

FYI: Please get Apple Pay working downstairs, some of us come without our wallets and our significant others forget to bring them.

Horrible! Came into the ER with vomiting, extreme abdominal pain, lower back pain and pain that began shooting down my right leg. They allowed me to lie there screaming and crying in pain. After a urine test, cat scan and ultrasound revealed that my right overy had a cyst nearly the size of a tennis ball that caused my overy to twist in on itself, fallopian tube and cut off blood supply. Had to be taken into surgery to have the whole right overy removed. So Sorry Staff that My Visable Discomfort Disconvienced You!!

This hospital was my favorite until the last visit I had to the ER and being admitted , I got judged by my tattoos and (I'm sure that at least half of that hospital staff has tattoos, the resident was the person who ruined it for me the most. Most the of the nurses I had on the 5th Floor were Okay, Aimee THE NURSING SUPERVISOR on the 5th floor was AMAZING. She listened to all my concerns with how the ER treated me. But I will NOT BE RETURNING TO THIS HOSPITAL. (They have the worse call light response ever) it should be less than a minute if they aren't helping other patients. ( I also know ever has their opinions and this is mine.) Thank you to all who have taken the time ti read what I have to say.

Worst hospital emergency room in the area. Signed in told triage nurse my pain was a 10+ in my back where I had fell through a sewer opening .My blood sugar was above 400 blood pressure 143/124. Told me to have a seat.in the waiting room pain progressively increased 2 hours and 43 minutes later I still wasn't seen while people who came after me were with less serious problems were going in and being seen ahead of me I would.not recommend this hospital to anyone. Excellent care during a recent hospital admission. All staff members treated me with the utmost care and compassion, and went the extra mile to make sure my husband and parents were taken care of when they were visiting and spending the night. I was given appropriate explanations regarding treatment plans, and wasn't treated like a drug seeker due to my chronic pain/illness diagnoses, which is rare in a medical setting. I will definitely return if/when I ever need treatment; it's worth the extra drive time to avoid going to a MercyHealth location.

I have no complaints at all. I praise and thank all employees I had contact with including nurses, assistants, head nurses, doctors, food service employees, and others. All did their work very well and professionally, even in some stressful situations, and helped me to keep a good attitude throughout. Thank you to all.

Just awful, The ER kept my child sitting in the hall to evaluate her fractured foot. After splinting her foot in the hall, they sent her home with no pain medication. Can't believe the team of 5 people couldn't do more than that. Disappointing. Don't go there if you have a choice.

I went to Soin yesterday for a miscarriage, they were not attentive or comforting at all. I thought well at least this should be quick and they can let me know what's going on. No, I was so wrong. I had an ultrasound done, and was told that the NP would be in shortly to check on me again. She never came back. I had to call the nurses station twice because the first time I called, I was told she will be right with you but half an hour has gone by and shes still chatting to someone at the nurses station about a co worker who was emailing an ex husband. After the second call, it took about 20 minutes but she came and didn't ask what I needed, just told me the Dr would finally be in to discuss things shortly and she was getting me some Tylenol. This all spanned from 8:32 to 11:45. I saw my nurse twice and the Dr once. Registration was nicer and more attentive than the nurses and Dr. Dr. Ewing came in and very rushed went over my discharge ultrasound. He could not confirm pregnancy or miscarriage because nothing showed up on the ultrasound and my levels were too low, which in my opinion means miscarriage due to the dates of everything and how far long I shouldve been. I did test positive but that's all he could tell me and sent me home bleeding and yucky telling me I won't get sick because there's nothing in there.

I recently had a prolapsed bladder surgery and it took place at Soin Hospital.

I was astounded how wonderful everyone was. The hospital staff starting from the front door arrival to front door departure could not have been better.

The Doctor s, nurses, dining staff, all that I came in contact with had smiles and made you feel special. I was impressed with the cleanliness.

Thank you so much for a great experience.

I would love to hear that the whole staff on the 5th floor get daisy pins. They all more than deserve one.

Completely satisfied with treatment.

Completely satisfied with treatment.
Nurses Donna and Laura were very efficient at getting me prepared and Dr Edwards explained everything going on to both me and my daughter. (I was kind of out of from the morphine so it was mostly explaining to daughter.) Picked up prescriptions and were able to follow all the instructions.
Then the nurses went over the release papers to be certain we understood.
