I was in the ER for 7 hours before admitted and transfered to the unit. Once the ER nurse did initial assessment, 4.5 hours passed until I saw the nurse again and that was the second shift nurse. I pressed call button at one point during the day shift and they said someone would be in but never showed up. No pain management in the ER was my experience. 3rd floor nurses and assistants were wonderful and suprised about my experience in the ER. I can definitely validate others reviews of the lack of responsiveness in the ER

The entire experience was excellent. Dr. Brian Ondulick is a talented and friendly surgeon- a great asset to Soins' physican staff. Special thanks and acknowledgement are owed to the nursing staff on the fifth floor and in particular nurse Van and nurse Merideth as they offered exemplary compassion and care. I would love for them to be recognized in some way by the hospital and by their nurse managers. I am a doctor who in my past career served as a medical director at a children's hospital in another state and can authenticate these remarks by my extensive 40 year participation and experiences with hospital care.

I went in for SEVERE back pain. Had to request wheelchair to get back to room because I could barely walk. Indicated that my pain was 9/10 and couldn't walk, stand, or sit without severe pain. After sitting for 30 minutes the Doc talked to me for about 2 minutes and 30 minutes later the nurse returned with a script for a muscle relaxer and anti inflammatory and tried to send me on my way. I basically had to demand something for pain and then was only given 2 days worth. Went to PCP next day who referred me for MRI immediately. Turns out I have severe buldging disc on the nerve root and have been referred to a neurosurgeon. I was very disappointed by the medical staffs lack of concern for my condition and now i'll get a huge bill for basically nothing. I'm not sure I could refer anyone here who is in any type of emergency. Two stars because it was clean and the intake was speedy.

The first couple of times i was there they were very nice and caring. The last time I was there my room mate found me on the ground making no sense having a blood sugar issues I guess they never really decided. But the nurse called me a druggie with mental issues. Neither of which is true I'm a brittle diabetic but as she nastily pointed out she was a professional who deals with sick people every day. The fact that my medical issues are NEVER normal I had a stroke at 38 and have a ton of issues. So right now while my blood pressure is 204/117 I still don't want to go there to get care to bring it down. She ruined my entire experience at that hospital.

The only problem I had was the cleaning of the rooms. I was in ther 3 days before anyone cleaned. I had said something to the nurses and they did get someone to clean and that person on did a halfsss job.
I reported it to the head nurse and to the next cleaning lady. so hopefully the issue got resolved.

All the staff were great and treated me very nice the hospital was very sterile but I didnt feel like I got a diagnosis. I came into the emergency room and described I was having episodes where I stop breathing for multiple minutes. After testing they couldn't find anything and the tests came back negative. The nurse came in after about 20 minutes of me being there and gave me my take home sheet and said I was released. They prescribed me an inhaler and said my diagnosis was "spasmodic cough" that's a symptom not a diagnosis. So I went home I've had the inhaler and still have episodes and am at a loss of what to do.

I went in with extreme abdominal pain. I was in tears and trying my hardest to not scream. I sat and waited over an hour just to be brought into the ER. We were told there was two people before us, and it wound up to be nearly ten.

Fast forward to getting my blood drawn and sitting there answering questions to the nurses, who tell me they are going to get me fluids and morphine.

Time passes. We have paged the nurses station five times by this point, and we're reassured one would be in asap. Nobody ever came. Doctor comes and goes. Registration comes and goes. I get an ultrasound, more blood drawn, and a catheter to get a urine sample. THREE HOURS passed before a nurse came running in and tells me they are going to get me my morphine and fluids asap.

I spent a total of four hours just waiting for pain medication and fluids to help ease my pain.

They didn't tell me anything. Didn't answer my questions. Told me to go and see my normal doctor. Which I did. Turns out I had kidney stones, kidney infection, kidney damage, and e coli. All things the hospital could have diagnosed according to my doctor had they taken the time to do so.

This is not the first bad experience I've had here, but it is the closest hospital my insurance covers. But I'd rather drive an extra hour or two to go somewhere else and shall from now on. I will NEVER return here.

Pleasant staff even when they were very busy. One complaint...I am a KMC lab employee and my husband was never arm banded. He was sent for a CT scan with no identification. I personally know that is a big error. He did get banded at the end of his stay to receive some meds. Good job other than that major error

I thought I was having a heart attack Monday night. I googled the nearest ER & Soin popped up. Even though the 911 dispatcher wanted to send me an ambulance, I decided to drive my stubborn self to Soin (which I had never heard of prior) because it was only 6 blocks away. When I got there, there was only one guy checking in patients (disappointing). So... I waited until he was finished. However, as soon as I told him why I was there, they rushed me to the back & immediately started running test on me. The staff was friendly & efficient. The doctor, though, was questionable.... he checked on me after the test were ran to say that thankfully it wasn t a heart attack, but he didn t know what was wrong with my stomach?? I told him that I didn t have stomach pains. It was as if he wasn t really in tuned with why I was even there. He came back once again to tell me that he was discharging me & to make sure that I follow up with my primary care doctor regarding my stomach .

I wouldn t go anywhere else. The medical staff are friendly, compassionate, and genuinely concerned with your care. No one ever gives the impression that they are just doing their job . When they are caring for you, you are their primary focus. That means EVERYTHING to a patient who is possibly scared and hurting.

Avoid this place at all cost!!! Soin will try and RIP you off at all cost. No joke I was literally there no more than two hours for stomach pains and at which point I wasn't even in a room I was in a hallway. When I got the bill Soin charged me 11k dollars for only being there for two hours in a hallway. This Place is very sneaky, and I will do everything in my power to let people know how horrible this place was.

I choose Soon for my hospital because I am treated with kindness and compassion.
I feel that the staff is knowledgeable and always listens to me. I've been treated quite a few times there for asthma and COPD.
There are many options for me to go elsewhere, but I have no reason to. Soin is close to home and is the hospital I will always choose hands down over any other!

Literally they don't deserve even 1 star. Have my daughter out here vomiting for 3 days urgent care sent us here for fluids and we've been here 2 hours and they put an IV in here in the waiting room we sat out there for over and hour until I complained. Now sitting in hallway 2 hours later...still no fluid and no relieve. This place isn't suited for a wild animal. Let alone a sick individual.

My teenage son needed emergency care and I was not available at the time to get him there. The ED staff most graciously kept me abreast of all pertinent information regarding his care until I could be with him. Thank you Dana NP in the ER who took such excellent care of my baby. You all are amazing and I'm thrilled to have such a wonderful hospital so close to home!

I went to the ER last night due to flu symptoms. The main RN who took care of me never once checked in on me or offered me a blanket. I asked for one and it took her an hour. She made me feel worse and talked down on me and made me feel like a horrible person. She was mean and not empathetic at all. She should not be allowed to work as a nurse. The Drs were also not personable and seemed uncaring but were at least a little nicer than that terrible RN I had. I just can t believe how a hospital who believes to put their patients first would hire such inconsiderate individuals.

I've had several surgeries and many lab tests in this facility. They go above and beyond to make sure things are in order prior to procedure. They take wonderful care of you while there and go out of the way to follow up more than once. I can say without a doubt that I've never had better care. I would send anyone I know to them in a heart beat.

ER has always given great service!!! If there s a wait, it s because the staff is dealing with higher priority patients. On my last visit, I walked in and within 10 mins I was walked back to a room. Very professional staff, and in my opinion one of the best medical options in the area.

I went in the emergency room a week ago for swelli...

I went in the emergency room a week ago for swelling and pain in my jaw, not my teeth. Two doctors and a nurse said it was not my teeth but suggested I go and see a dentist. After setting on an uncomfortable chair for 2 hours I was prescribed 3 things that did nothing but hurt my stomach, and for the pain, they gave me so.ething I could have got over the counter. I went in a week later the symptoms got worse and again without checking me out they told me I should see a dentist, even knowing this had nothing to do with my teeth. After 2 hour I finally had someone check on my I told them I'm going to have to leave. That's when the doe doctor, after 2 hours, after I told him my pain was at a level 10, then tried to bribe me to stay, and told me if i would stay he would give me something for the pain, I'm thinking, why do they ask us the level of pain I'm going through on a scale of 1 to 10 if the o only time there going to do so.ething about it is when I tell them I need to go somewhere else that might help me with my pain.this is the worst experience I have had at any hospitals, I was suggested by one of my friends to go to that hospital, but I will never recommend this hospital to anyone especially if your going through pain. Next time I will be going 20 extra minutes out of my way to be seen by a real doctor. If your okay with setting In a chair for hours and then be sent home with nothing to help your symptoms, nor your pain, and your okay with being neglected 90 percent of the time your there, then you can go, but good luck.

Over the course of my pregnancy I spent a lot of time at Soin, between my OB office being there and delivering there. The staff at Advanced Women's is incredible. The doctors are attentive and I felt that they knew me really well by the time my baby was born. The nurses at Soin Labor and Delivery are amazing. They made my first labor experience as painless as possible and by the time my son was being pushed out I was hoping nurse Linda would deliver him for me and not even bother with the doctor! Kristen, Tiffany and Susie from lactation were also amazing--they made the experience so memorable and special. My husband and I will definitely travel to Soin to have the rest of our children someday. I can't thank Soin enough for the wonderful experience.

Nursing staff and assistants on the second floor (Brittney, Ann, Lisa, Andrew and Kayleigh) were amazing, fun and friendly! All things considered, they made my visit most enjoyable. Most importantly, thank you to my doctor, Dr. D. Molina, who provided me with the opportunity to go to Soin and did a magnificent job on my injury. I can t thank him enough for my utmost care and safety.

Thank you to all!

Terrible staffs and managers, the hospital may look nice and organized but don't let it fool you. The whole point of an ER is supposed to be fast and responsive to the patient asap. We waited for about 30 minutes to check in which is fine, but it took the nurse about an hour to see us, then another hour for the doctor to come. The doctor promised to give my girlfriend some medication for her nausia but she never showed up again. 3 hours have passed, we tried to call them on the telecommuting system and they said they are on their way but waited for another 2 hours and nothing is happening. Useless hospital, at least tell us what's going on.

I usually do not say anything at all regarding my experience of being in the hospital because it usually has not been a good experience at all. Which is why I do everything I can to stay out of the hospital period but this time my being in the hospital even for one night it wasn"t a bad experience at all for me, and I am glad. Of all the hospitals that I have been in over the years Soin Medical Center was the best hospital for me to be in. I cannot say that it has changed my opinion about hospitals period but I "did not have a bad experience at Soin Medical Center." So Thank You Soin Medical Center for my stay in your hospital. I appreciate it.

If I could rate this hospital a 0. I would. I have...

If I could rate this hospital a 0. I would. I have tried and tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt, because it is so close to my home, but never again.

My 1 year old had a very high fever, so I rushed her to the ER. After 4 hours of being there and nothing happening (they couldnt even cath her or do her bloodwork), they decided to transfer her to Children's. All the tests Soin was trying to do, were completed in the squad on the way to Children's by squad staff.

Another visit, my daughter ripped a nail off her finger and I needed x rays to make sure she didnt break her finger. Same nurse from previous visit, bandaged her up in the ER, the bandage fell off on the way home.

I went into ER for abdominal pain and cramps, bloodwork, x-rays, ultrasounds, couldnt find anything wrong with me and sent me home not once, but THREE times. I later found out I had kidney stones.

Finally, the last straw. I was going to have an outpatient surgery here. I figured this would not be the ER staff so I would be in good hands. I never received a call from PAT, like I was told I would. This made me skeptical, so I called the hospital and canceled my surgery. The day the surgery would have taken place, I get a call from the hospital, asking where I am. I inform them that I called a long time ago to cancel the surgery, so that this type of scenario could have been avoided. The next day, the doctor's office calls me and asks me why I was a "no show" at my surgery, so I'm guessing they never got the message either. A month after when this surgery would have taken place, I get a "get well" card from hospital staff. They clearly do not have it together. DO NOT GO HERE!

Went in with a broken arm and received a correct diagnosis but was refused pain medication due to a supposed "history". I don't have any history of drug abuse. I arrived in agony all night the first night I went home. The reason I went to the emergency room was because I had a broken arm. Break was really bad and I had to get surgery for it. I came back the next day after I was sent home with no pain medication and had my arm re-splinted and saw a different doctor that gave me the appropriate pain medication to cope with the break.

I went there for a broken toe. I went about 3:30pm on a Sunday. The wait was not long. I accepted to sit in the hallway. No biggie. I'd rather leave the rooms for me urgent care. I was released about 6pm. The nurses, radiology and social services were very nice. Only drawback is that there isn't enough parking in the ER area parking lot. I had to walk quite far just to get to the ER doors, and mind you with a broken toe in the cold. One nurse told me that they are adding on a 5 floor extended hospital in the back. I have no idea how they think how they're going to deal with all the parking there unless they build a parking garage. Other than that I would go there any day over Miami valley hospital

The brace that the nurses put on my knee was too small and I kept telling them that. Also the follow-up doctor you referred me to doesn't take my insurance. My primary care physician checks that information before he refers me to another doctor so I know it can be done. But I had to search for an orthopedic surgeon while in severe pain and on pain medication that could see me immediately instead of weeks from now.

I wouldn't send my worse enemy here. Coming from myself as a nurse, I watched nurses walk in and out of other patient's rooms without hand hygiene. They gave my grandmother injections without gloves or washing their hands, or at the least even using hand sanitizer. Infection control is key, but these fools must have went to nursing school at Dipshit Academy; they didn't know the first thing about nursing. 90% of the responses from a nurse there was, "Well, I don't know." without even bothering to find an answer. They violated HIPAA by giving my any medical information I asked for regarding my grandmother without even asking who I was. I could have been a complete stranger, but who'd have known? Not to mention, my grandmother, who has dementia, was sent to an extended care facility without anyone contacting her POA, also discharged her on room air versus the 4 liters of oxygen they started her on in the hospital, not to mention several medication errors. The only bathing she received was from myself during her visits, I had to ask the staff for any person hygiene items because it was not in her room. I myself working in health care field understand how busy it can be, but come on people; at least wash your damn hands or show some compassion for your patients, they want to be there just as much as you do so make their stay worth while. It disgusts me out healthcare has turned into a field where they half ass stabilize their patients and send them on their way to who knows where. I could go on for hours about this putrid health care center, but unfortunately nothing will be done about it, it's all about the money anymore. I hope my two cents keeps another person from letting their loved one receive the worst health care service I've ever witnessed.
