Great stay, very close to everything, staff and everyone were very friendly, the room wasn't spectacular but very clean and comfortable

Enjoyable stay for 10 days in Washington DC. The location of the Sofitel was ideal for access to the National Mall, with a wide choice of restaurants within walking distance. Enjoyed relaxing with a glass of wine in the outdoor bar watching the world go by after a long day of sightseeing.

Lovely location to stay at. Very curteous employees. Only downer was we had to call for the guest bed sheets and pillow which took a while. Great overall experience though.

The location is near to the white house and the national park and the millennium, around the hotel amazing restaurants, and the hotel has a fabulous restaurant. The rooms are so clean, they have excellent services include the massage therapy.

Room was good and clean and the bathroom a nice size with separate shower. Staff at check-in were friendly and helpful. Reported faults with our coffee machine and telephone. Someone looked at the phone and said he would speak to his supervisor and that was the last we saw of him. The coffee machine remained unattended for the entire duration including not even removing/washing the cup used when trying to get it to work. Glasses used in the room were left dirty or in another case left in the corridor with plates for a day and a half. Wi-fi throws you out daily and we were unable to login as a guest. Restaurant was good and had excellent service in the bar. Location is ideal for sightseeing.

Nice hotel, clean room, good facilities, great location. Staff was helpful and friendly. Not sure I would classify this as a 5 star hotel though... Public areas are quite nice but rooms were fairly standard

Our stay was wonderful. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and efficient. We were always greeted when entering or exiting the hotel lobby. All of the staff was very friendly.

The hotel itself is amazing and in a location to access all the DC has to offer. But the one thing that enjoyed over anything else was the staff. They were courteous, professional, and efficient. Definately the place I'll stay when coming to DC.

The check in was fast, and easy. All the staff was very curious and nice. Once in the room, it was very spacious and had great decor. The room had a great view and the bathroom was just what I needed with a separate tub from the shower.

I just spent 5 days in D.C. Great location, excellent staff. White House is very close as well as Lincoln Memorial. I will stay here again when I visit.

Good room service and friendly staff. I was not very impressed with the breakfast options, the menu was overpriced and Starbucks is only a block away. However the options were good.

Internet options at the hotel are slow if you are using the free tier unfortunately.

The hotel was everything I had expected; from check in to check out. The amenities are excellent, the room was always very clean and it's been recently renovated. The morning breakfast has a variety of great choices. Our server Bryan, was extremely attentive and made our stay even better. The Washington DC location is superb. You have walking access to all monuments, theaters as well as the museums. It will be the place to stay on our next trip to DC.

first class hotel !! all of super luxury and excellent price

Took a couple of nights to get a top sheet added, but it happened in time for my wife's arrival to the hotel. Everyone was service oriented and friendly.

The rooms are modern and comfortable. The bar is great and makes a specialty drink called the barrel. It's most definitely worth it and the staff is friendly and fun to talk to.

Very convenient to visit all must see tourist spots from your hotel. Breakfast menu was very satisfying and service was excellent. Rooms were very spacious and well designed. We enjoyed our stay at your place.

It's good. A little pricy but it's worth it because you are walking distance from all the sight seeing attractions

Everything about the hotel was excellent. The prices were high, but no higher than you would expect in a hotel of that kind.

We waited in line for 10 minutes to check in(only one person at desk). A man in a suit stood there for 8 minutes...finally he went to go get someone to check us in(looked like a manager; guess he didn't want to use the computer). Same issue on checkout, one person handling the desk, long line. For the price I paid, they can afford more people. Was nice and quite until a room full of kids checked in midway through the trip. I pay a premium for hotels because I enjoy peace and quite...if I wanted to hear all that racket, I'd check into a holiday inn. AC leaked halfway through; had to call staff to fix it at 11 PM. Was never even asked if i wanted some form of compensation for all of this. Too bad I liked the location and the staff. Next time we go(every year) we'll spend our hard earned money elsewhere. Oh, and a box of M&Ms costs $11 dollars. Seriously...cmon. Just because you are "luxury" doesn't mean $11 is a fair price for a box of M&Ms LOL /sigh.

Sofitel is in the Heart of DC. With all the major attractions around; this hotel offers luxurious experience like nowhere else. The guest service is unmatchable. They have special concierge desk to make your stay more smoother. If you are in DC then it's the place for you..

Loved this hotel just 2 blocks from the White House and numerous historical buildings and sites. Beautiful comfortable rooms. Valet is expensive as might be expected, but you can come and go as much as you want for 1 daily fee.

Lovely high end hotel. Nice to have a shower and deep tub option in the same room. Hot apple cider and fruit waiting in the lobby.

We loved our stay in the Sofitel Hotel. My husband and I really enjoy it and the city. Ana was specially helpful with us. We loved the food and the great location. It was great hotel and amazing location where nice cafe around and closed to white house but one only thing didn't satisfy me the parking.

Staying here has been a delightful experience. The rooms are very clean and maintained. The heating and cooling are pretty instant when you adjust the thermostat. The room lacks a microwave and a view from the window, but the massive flat screen makes up for it. There are complimentary robes to use, shower caps, water bottles (not the 7 dollar Evian bottles). 24 hour room service! Heads up, it's 65 a night to park your car here.

The staff was very polite, courteous and helpful. The rooms were super comfy and clean. I love the Lanvin toiletries. i can't wait to stay again. Location is perfect, close to everything. Le Bar on main floor was fabulous! Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Nice and well located hotel. Smooth check in and out. Staff with different languages including French and Dutch! Service-oriented, sometimes a bit slow with service on the terrace.

The room/bath was very clean and bed was VERY comfortable - furnishings were new - bed was comfortable. Able to walk to tons of great restaurants and historical sites, museums, etc. We are picky people, and I don't have one bad thing to say about this hotel other than the wifi could be faster :) Check-in and Check-out were painless!

We stayed at this property for two days. We couldnt have any sleep both the days. The staff at the hotel was very nice and the location was very convenient. I wont recommend this hotel to my collegue, just because of the bad quality beds.

Beautiful location but personal and services are not always impeccable

This is my second stay at the Sofitel. The room was immaculate. I love the modern atheistic especially the rainfall shower head and big flat-screen TV mounted on the wall. The staff was courteous and attentive.

Great location, close to the best tourist attractions in Washington. Wi fi in the rooms included in the daily rate. Staff attentive and pleasant. Comfortable room and very clean, we stayed in one with city view.

Gorgeous room got it on Priceline for really great price valet is very expensive so y we is your best friend

Location was the best! Walk to the White House in just a few minutes. Our room was spotless and pristine. (Throughout my experience I've found that the Sofitel brand has always been solid and really sets themselves apart). We got a great deal for such a spectacular room. Staff were super friendly and always ready to help. Actual genuine kindness. We will stay here again when we return. Can't wait! Thank you to the staff for helping create such lovely memories for us!

Wonderful property in a great location, the hotel is located in lafayette square, 5 minutes from the white house and other DC attractions.

Service was very good, Our suite was well appointed and spacious. Housekeeping was excellent and on time. Breakfast at the restaurant was nice as well. We checked in around 2:30 pm on July 24, 2019. However, I was a bit disappointed by the check in experience, not the experience I am used to in the Sofitels I stay in around the world.
Valet parking has rooms for improvement.

From the welcome to the departure through the bar and the concierge service ... Everything perfect.
Only one downside. Breakfast room icy in terms of temperatures and decoration ... otherwise very good. Thank you

If you're looking to treat yourself - this is one of the better five-stars in the District.

Everyone, from guest check-in to the doormen, was exquisite. Even upon leaving, one of your workers was on the floor I was staying on and happily told me to have a nice trip home and then asked if I'd like some water. "Gotta stay hydrated!" I responded. It was incredibly attentive to my needs in a way that made me want to return again and again. Thank you for such a fantastic stay and for incredibly amazing workers at the Lafayette Square Sofitel.

My husband and I were extremely pleased with our stay at the Washington, DC Sofitel. From the moment we arrived we felt very welcomed. All the staff that we encountered were extremely attentive, pleasant, and helpful. Our room was lovely and well-appointed, the bed comfortable, the bathroom spotless. Breakfast was quite enjoyable. The Sofitel's location adds to its desirability--there are so many points of interest within walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, albeit brief, and will most certainly stay here again the next time we're in DC.

Stayed here a week ago and put down my American Express for incidentals and days after I checked out someone from the hotel charged my card almost $200 !! I have called them over 3 times and still have not received my money back, at this point they are thieves! They gave no explanation on why my card is being charged over and over again !
