This is one of my favorites in NYC! Amazing food and great vibe. My brunch favorites are the chicken & waffles and the French toast

Second time in a row I was disappointed. First time my Family from Atl and N.C. came to visit, heard so much good things about Soco so we go...waited exactly 1hr and a half for our food!!! I was embarrassed and there was only a apology nothing else. Food was good of course cause we were hungry. Said I give them a second shot, ordered the steak meal medium well, it was more like well cooked tough so tough I had trouble cutting it!! We were compensated free wings appetizer....I'm done!

The Red Velvet Waffles and Buttermilk Fried Chicken was so damn good! I should've ordered another to go.

Great cornbread, and classic French Southern dishes. The short ribs were amazing. Real good draft beer selection.

Waste of my damn, time & money! I called before I arrived, to be sure if I needed to make a reservation, the person whom answered the phone stated.." that dinner wil reopen at 6pm, that you can walk in" ...Well that's what I did, I took a $20.00 cab to Soco and the hostess wouldn't even give us the time of day, she had her back turned to us..When I caught her attention, I inquired about seating,.she stated "that there are no more tables for seating, that they can only accommodate those with reservations" ..Are you serious?? Was my response and she just walked off! So annoyed that I just paid for cab, over here..With my mother for her birthday, that I was taking her out to dinner...Never mind the fact I came from Georgia to take her out, smh...Poor communication,.the should of been told to me when I called, that I would be taken a gamble..

I really enjoyed my visit to Soco. The food and wait service were good. My meal was A-mazing!! I had the grits shrimp and lobster. The only reason why I am giving them 4 stars is because one of my co-workers order a red velvet Waffle with fried chicken and when asked how it was she stated it was too thick and she no longer wanted to eat it. When given an option of something else they suggested mashed potatoes and she asked for French fries and she was told she he can only substitute mashed potatoes.We didn't see the difference. You would think the French fries would have been a cheaper substitute. She was extremely upset because she really likes Soco and brought us there because of her past experience there. We all would still return,but know not to order the red velvet Waffle. Now don't get me wrong Everyone has a particular way they like their waffles.

Amazing food. Loved that they gave out champagne and hats to everyone for the new years ball drop.

The food was excellent but the service wasn t as good

My cousin and I totally enjoyed our experience at Soco. The waiters are outstanding for lack of a better word and the food and drinks were awesome. I told my husband about and we're coming before the weekend ends. I will definitely tell all. Fabulous restaurant.

Food was good. Drinks was ok but takes a while to get to you. Make sure when you pay that you get a receipt since when we paid cash, we were stopped and were told to wait while the security secured the door while they verified if we paid. Very tacky.

I'd love to tell you but we waited and hour and then left party of 3.

Found this place by accident, so glad I did!The mac and cheese is to kill for! Wings are all right too

The food there was to die for the welcome and the service are excellent. I order mc and cheese the burger.

1st time which was spring 2014 it was great! Food was excellent, drinks were on point and the service was good. 2nd time which was last night was HORRIBLE!!!! We got the white sangria that tasted like dirty dish water, the food was cold and my chicken was overcooked and dry. Not only that, I couldn't recognize what part of the chicken it was. The waitress was rude after we told her we didn't like the sangria and sent it back. She rudely asked "What's wrong with it and what don't you like about it?" Bottom line is I will not be going back. At least not on my dime.

Soco was filled with pleasant and friendly staff,,,,delicious food and drinks,,,the atmosphere and the fellow customers were wonderful also

Went here last night,and everything was good.The food,The service.Had the pan Fried Catfish and Mac and Cheese.. sooo good

The chicken is Great! That chicken/waffle meal is legit Amazing. Love this place.

The management in this establishment was very inconsiderate and did not know how to deal with conflict. Took a simple problem to the extreme, the overall customer service was terrible and they showed to be very biased. I do not recommend this restaurant as an option for anyone.

The Food is Amazing ! I had the chicken and waffle with a mango sweet tea and I am completely satisfied and full! The service was great as well as the decor! I will be coming back again!

This place use 2 be amazing... now it's horrible. Had the bbq chicken... threw up as soon as I walked out. I will never return!

Loved the brunch, however our waiting time was ridiculously long!

This is a really cute place and the servers were very nice. We ordered a lot of different things so we could try all of our favorite comfort foods. My favorite was the cheese grits! The cornbread and shrimp po boy were also good, but I switched the kimchi mayo for the chipotle on the sandwich. I didn't care for the fries that came with the sandwich, so I might suggest ordering the salad instead. The red velvet waffle was ok but not as flavorful as I was expecting. Overall it was a nice lunch and I would potentially go back.

Probably the best staff, extremely friendly. Very comfortable environment. Food is always amazing.

Cosy spot. The food was good. Parties of tow end up in the center of the walkway which wasn't so comfortable. The portions are ok for the price.

The food was excellent. I ordered the Blacked Salmon with the mac and cheese and it was the best i tasted in a while. I highly recommend this place.

Literally hands down no joke f*ucking amazing. The Mac and cheese with some Lobster shrimp grits are to die for. Go and keep going there!!

The food is really good! The atmosphere is so relax and chill. My parties waitress (Krystal) was so on point and attentive on an extremely busy Saturday night. The drinks kept flowing. The lounge next door is a nice little spot to follow up with drinks and a live DJ.

Pretty good! I ordered the barbecue chicken meal and it was LOVELY. Also, the staff was super friendly and the restaurant had really great music.

Amazing food and waiter service. The front of the house needs better customer assistance with greeting customers in a cheerful way and paying attention to reservations and seated parties when parties arrive.

the ambiance was very pleasant. The staff was superb. I'm giving it only three stars because my order was not made as I ordered and one of the servers passed a plate of food that actually belongs to a table next to us. the portion was mediocre and the bill was higher than I anticipated. overall it was a ok experience. I wouldn't go back

Love this place hands down. Me and my family go there very often. Everything on the menu is good. But hands down the mussels, mac and cheese, the wings. Salmon entree, and the chicken and waffles are bomb.com.

The menu is limited. There was limited seating and the staff did not control an out of control group who was taking over more space than needed.

My daughter recomended me to SOCO. The shrimp, lobster and grits was so delicious. The service was good. The boss was not bad on the eyes. Lol.

This place was a 'FIND'. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was incredible. It was packed on a Tuesday night with a jazz band that set a mood that everyone was completely enjoying. Other people's food looked like something worth eating but I chose the Blackened Salmon which was delectable. - I highly recommend Soco!

My cost was with tip. Yes, it was well worth every penny.

The best catfish that I've eaten in a long time! The batter was well seasoned. Great atmosphere. Will definitely go again.

This place gets pretty crowded for brunch. The cocktails during brunch are a little on the high side so if you like drinking bring extra cash. Chicken and waffles pretty good. If you order the Mac and Cheese do not order any other large dish with it. The Mac and Cheese is delicious and extremely fulling.

Brunch here is always amazing! People start flooding in the moment they open. On my last visit it was nothing short of amazing. Nice ambience, the music was good and there was a nice crowd. I ordered the lobster shrimp and grits and my friend ordered the steak and eggs. The lobster shrimp and grits Was fantastic. I definitely recommend ordering this if you come here. The steak and eggs were just OK. I feel like it was missing some flavor. Nonetheless we had a good time and enjoyed ourselves. Will be back for more brunches and dinner

So I called to reserve a table & verify the dress code...I arrive & am denied due to dress code..it s summer & I have a tank top on...btw there are 3 women with tank tops or spaghetti straps on in the spot...I am told to go to another bar for 6 minutes & they will let me in so I leave ...the manager comes down the street after me 3 minutes later to tell me I have been denied access...for real tho...will not be back...sidebar there were only 5 people in there anyway...next!!!!

Food was great - red velvet waffle with buttermilk fried chicken, thought $60 for 4 Long Island Ice teas was extreme , tip of $45 dollars was included & that was the minimal tip, now the lounge next door was to loud, playing music i never heard of mainly old school reggae not from America like the DJ i wanted to dance but sat down forcing my nasty as drink i paid $14 for!! I should of just stayed next door at the bar

Soco is amazing. Great service, respectful setting, gentle play list, and good food. It gets a little cold though so I always take a cover up. I ve been eating here for years and I really can t find a bad thing to say about it. You know how when you re really hungry but you don t want to take any chances? Well It s my go to place for southern food if I want a quick bite around the way that I know will taste good. My fave dishes are the pecan crusted pork chop, shrimp n grits and lobster, hush puppies, deviled eggs, the wings and Mac and cheese. I don t they ve ever missed the spot.

I absolutely loved this restaurant! I wish there was one back home in Chicago. The food was lovely and the drink were lovely as well. Wonderful customer service and the waiters were very attentive!! Everyone needs to visit this place at least once.!!! You'll be glad u did!

However they are a bit expensive but the atmosphere and cleanliness of the restaurant was well worth the price!

Just not worth the wait. 7pm Saturday 1.5 hrs for table, 1.25 hrs for food. Server brought tequila shots to "make up for it" to a table (of adults) who didn't order any alcohol... then messed up the bill!!

I placed an order through Ubereats only to have the order cancelled after a hour wait because I had to place it twice. The first time I thought I did something incorrect now to realize they cancelled without any notice. I was tracking my order and it said it's on it's way with an uber driver. I hear a notification on my phone and for the second time it said Soco cancelled. Unbelievable, they could have cancelled from the beginning to allow me the opportunity to order elsewhere. Thanks for nothing Soco.

Amazing !! The food, the venue, the quality of the service were TOP NOTCH !! Diamond thanks for the experience and the recommendations. My BBQ Chicken was great and the strawberry French toast was the best I ever had so far ! Well done guys !! Keep the Chef by any means necessary. 5 French's people say thank you from the bottom of their stocmach !!

Very trendy. Up and coming eatery in Brooklyn. Elegant. Not too pricey. Food well proportionally served. Waiter/waitresses connect with customer (s). Great ambiance.

Long wait, but absolutely worth it. Best mac and cheese in Brooklyn hands down. Also love the veggie Lasagna and their corn bread.

I really enjoyed my meal. I had a quarter of barbecue chicken with mashed potatoes, and rice and beans.

I love this place! Went here for a nice brunch with my family. I haven't visited in a while to this place. The food is still excellent and the service was superb! We sat outside, it may not have been the warmest day however, the staff was extremely accommodating.

Omg. I highly recommend this place, the food was DELICIOUS! I have to recommend the mac and cheese but also eat it while it's hot it can be a little on the thicker side once it cools off. The red velvet waffles and chicken was amazing, that chicken tasted awesome. The gumbo was good not too spicy but seasoned well. The service was great.
