Simply superb customer service from the Tamworth SnowDome. I brought my two children today to do climbing and ice skating. Despite the floods the staff were absolutely fantastic and they even provided free parking at the nearby ankerside car park. We had a problem with the ice skating session that was very quickly rectified by Jackie the duty manager....5 stars all round. Many thanks for being so helpful and friendly. We are looking forward to coming back soon!
Great session doing the freestyle skiing. Wasn't actually anyone to give advice like it said on the website but that might be because of corona. Did have great fun, pretty decent skiis, boots, etc. The snow does get pretty icy towards the end of the session which isn't fun but other than that it was great.
Great food. Huge selection of activities at good prices.
Amazing indoor real snow slope as well as a wealth of other facilities like indoor climbing, gym, swimming and its own Starbucks and diner. Friendly staff and a great family day trip
A easy going atmosphere, if your new to skibg or snowboarding I would recommend a private lesson may seem a bit pricey but really good friendly tuition. They really want you to progress!!
Great facilities apart from toilets which are falling apart and never clean
Went for the winter wonderland the elf was absolutely nuts Santa's Theatre I haven't laughed so much in a long time
Wife and daughter loved the ice skating. With fewer people around it's so much more enjoyable. tobogganing also good. Got many more runs in. Excellent. Starbucks was comfortable but expensive. Aspen food awful but the service and staff were friendly which made up for feeling sick the whole night.
Magical moments for the young ones, okay and us bigger kids lol...fun for all the family
Review from my 10yr old daughter Evie who learned to Snowboard with the Fast track lessons in the summer:
I really had fun learning to snowboard at the Snowdome over the summer. The teachers were really nice and patient with me.
It was easy to get my equipment (helmet/board hire etc). I loved the hot chocolate at Starbucks after my
Lessons. I love that I can now go boarding with my dad as a recreational boarder. I really recommend the Snowdome
Went ice skating, it was very fun although the desks were understaffed so we were left half an hour waiting for ice skates meaning that we had less time to be on the ice.
Brilliant. The Alps in Tamworth! Reccomended! James
This is an excellent place to take all of the family
Worst experience ever, and refund wasn't with 20% + as they said, total time waste, drove 3 hours there to find out it was cancelled and only got a credit note when we got to the reception.
Great skiing and snowboarding centre. Great fun for all the family. Nice food. Pizza served on a snowboard is great.
Andy C instructor was fantastic, thanks again for all the tips!
Kids loved this place. Did the Winter Wonderland tour, tubing and toboggan ride. Very cold, so make sure you wear winter clothes!
Fabulous family friendly place. Lots of activities. Parking, coffee shop, climbing walls, swimming pool etc.
It does ice skating, tobogganing, skiing, swimming and lots more.
Came for the new climbing wall and really enjoyed it. There's several different walls, some with written challenges for additional attempts and some with timers. The staff, especially Edd, were very friendly and helpful.
The only place in the England to provide lessons for skiing so you don't go to the slopes for your first time and not enjoy your vacation
All day skiing lesson here. Great Instructor and equipment/changing facilities were good. The rope lift on the left side of the slope is temperamental and was frequently cutting out causing some pile ups. Was busy at times which increased More
Visited here for a birthday party for an eight year old, rock climbing was the activity and everyone enjoyed it and the staff were very good at explains to the children how to be safe and the enjoy the activity.
Fantastic activities including rock climbing, swimming and obviously Tabogoning, skiing and snowboarding. Not being that energetic I enjoy coming here for my starbucks coffees and sitting in the restaurant looking out of the windows at ice skating, and people enjoying snowball fights. Real log burning fire perfect with a coffee or hot chocolate.
Good but very hard to find on foot from the rail station
a great place to go if ever looking for winter sports in summer ,,had a grear couple of hours here (watching the young ones ) but was great shame its not closer to home but will definately arrange another visit ....good fun..
Really fun session here very covid aware and safety measures in place, would recommend for safe family fun!
Staff are friendly and the slopes are really good here.
Did a learn to ski day, the instructors were very patient especially Chris. Highly recommend.. big thumbs up
Really disgusted. We, a family of 6 (and another family of 4) were 7 minutes late for a 3 hour lesson and Jacqui the duty manager would not let us in. It had just taken us 3 hours to drive from Herefordshire after the worst flooding in history. Perhaps a little goodwill and compassion might have been necessary given the circumstances? Even there own car park had been flooded. Just remember you don t know everyone circumstances perhaps you should Be Kind .
We visited for winter wonderland which i reccomend for any parents with toddlers and tound children
Swimming with the Yeti is good fun for kids. Climbing tests your stamina and trust in a rope. Don't look down.
Lovely ice skating venue but they need to invest in some wide fitting ice skates.
Well this was a fun evening out!
It's just perfect for a big group of friends and a good deal with the sledging and tubing. Love throwing myself down the hill in the snow!
Thought the food included afterwards would be rubbish as it was included in the deal, but was actually pleasantly surprised. Everyone's food was more than edible and was presented well.
Would definitely go again.
Great venue, came here for Winter Wonderland and toboggan ride. Massive improvement on 3 years ago when we came and it was absolutely heaving and appeared to have been over subscribed. Would certainly come back again...
Cracking team always fall over backwards on the slop to help you :)
Brilliant evening spent here with the family and even took advantage of onsite Starbucks.
Great day just, too many people all at one time with lessons going on turn the corner and straight into a lesson
A good place for hot summer days, there are many rides for older children, such as swimming pools, climbing rafts, ski rafts, only half an hour from Birmingham.
Very covid secure with temperature testing on entry.
We went swimming with the kids. The pools are okay but very basic and dated. I expected higher standard considering the price we paid for it.
Swimming pool is very good and very quite on Friday's.
Had a fantastic time with my daughter lots to offer will definetly visit again
I love it here I first learned to snow board here the teachers were really friendly and understanding had a lot fun while learning and now years later I m even better and still go here to board.. best place the is in the uk to do this. 5*
Absolutely loved the snowdome. Went twice in a week, once for ice skating and again for my son's 5th birthday party in the Snow Fun area. Both visits were really good fun.
Had a great morning skiing with the wife and kids this week, good snow, helpful staff, food was good too. Picked a weekday during Welsh half term, which was a week later than in England this year, slopes not that crowded. Highly recommended, we will come again.
Great experience ,lovely instructors, however a rather condescending team member also attempted to teach us how to ski, sometimes contradicting the instructors. However other than that a great experience without to many people on slope
A brilliant Winter Sports indoor activity center based right in the heart of Tamworth and within easy access of Town Center!
You can do everything from Skiing, Snowboarding and Sledging to having Snowball fights and even go swimming if you so wish!
Absolutely fantastic family day out for all ages!
Visited at Christmas for the Santa experience, groups were overloaded and felt like we were packed like sardines did not make for an enjoyable time.
Cold as usual, hahaha, makes you feel like your in another country. Love the Starbucks after the slopes
The Gym Reception staff and Gym Team deserve an award, they are super friendly and helpful. Everyone gets a Hello on entry and that makes me feel welcome. Mandy was my gym membership advisor and made the experience really relaxing and fun.
Returning to fitness after a terrible accident at work last year and moving to a new area, I was truly scared to get back to fitness in a Gym. It's always hard to join somewhere new but after sitting down with personal trainer, Kieron, for 45 minutes, I felt really understood and valued. It was so helpful just to talk without starting a programme, it gave me a lot of space and time to ask any questions. Kieron also advised me on low impact strength classes, circled everything he thought would be suitable for me.
This gym is passionate about strength training, which is a relief and I had my first TRX session today. There's a totally dedicated long metal TRX Frame. I loved it, it's a Beginners group and the people in the class were incredibly welcoming too. I was allowed to modify some moves, slow down moves to perfect my form and the Trainer was fabulous and lowered the Step for me when we worked away from the Frame (I can't step too high!).
There's a dedicated Women Who Lift group, again, strength training being at the heart of this gym, it's pretty cool!
Super friendly Gym with lovely staff and friendly members, I think anyone would feel at home here and I think it's the best in Tamworth, after researching a lot of places and 10 out of 10 for dedicated TRX.
Just one request: BALLET BARRES, it would be great if you installed a Ballet Barre in the lower gym hall
Great fun on the small slopes watching the toddlers. The kids love it. Then too the big slope for tobogganing.
Amazing day out take plenty of cash for food and drink (or a large rucksack of snacks and drinks ;) as you get plenty of exercise and excitment through the day with the activities available, I can garentee it will provide a good night's sleep after for young and old.
Used the ice rink/track for the first time tonight. Both are very small but going at 5pm was actually a decent time to go as there weren t many people. The ice around the track is very lumpy and I watched a number of people fall in the same spot where the bumps were most prevalent. Having said that, there s a quiet area to practise moves or just get into the swing of the ice if need be.
I would say it s a great place to take kids but if you re an intermediate/pro skater, you might struggle for space.
I d like to also note (it s not overly important) but the car park and general outside area is not well lit and felt a tad dangerous.
Obviously a matter of perspective but with smaller kids I think its a bit hectic and disorganised. Mad at Xmas, so much so , after complaining, we got free tickets to come back and a chance to stroke some disenfranchised reindeer whom it seemed had questioned their role in Xmas and a bit annoyed they'd run out of magic dust to fly away from the Winter Wonderland they'd been tricked into.
Cool place. Pool. Snow for skiing and snowboarding. Lessons. And ice skating. Lessons were pretty reasonable with a discount code and really made progress from zero to getting down the slope.
Still a great place to keep the skills up boarding.
Prices are still a little high.
Parking suck's, should be free for people that actually pay to use the facilities
