Canyoning -Instructors, very professional on the whole. But the half-day was just too basic. The instructor had the best/highest jump (while we watched), plus we were told to jump basic, 2 feet first, whereas the instructor was all "watch me!" as he pulled front flips down the zip-line. At one of the first jump spots, the promotional video has people jumping in from all angles, we were never given that option other than the 1m or so jump, and the water level was plenty high enough for the 4~5m jump on the other side of the pool...

Evergreen Canyoning would be perfect for the family that doesn't go outdoors much, or swim much... But for those of us who would love to throw a back-flip or 2 off some big jumps, it's not for you...

I enjoyed canyoning.

I enjoyed canyoning.
I was very careful about safety and had an experience that I could never do myself.
Slide down an 8m high waterfall, jump off a rock, slide on a rope, or ride on a river.
My son, who was in the third grade of elementary school, was with me, but he was kindly guided, so I was able to participate happily without any fear.

We had an epic time with Tobin the TourGuide of Evergreen. Even with different snow conditions he made the utmost happen. He showed us Hakuba and its vicinity to the best. We can only recommend this.

I had 2 snowboarding lessons there, a first timers lesson with John from Alberta and then a level 2 from Lachlan from Sydney. Both lessons were exceptional and I was over the moon with my progress. I never felt like I couldn't do what was being asked of me.

Spent a lot of our lesson trying to find the instructor who seemed to hate being there. A group of us took a combination of lessons for skiing and boarding and had average experiences. We found Hakuba ski school much better.

It is a great school, we have been going there every year. But I am not happy with their flexibility regarding discounts, as I was waiting for my hotel to be confirmed, I have called them the day after the discount period finished and explained the situation now that I finally got the accommodation sorted. Despite the fact that we are regular costumers and we will have classes for 2 kids for 7 days, there was no flexibility on their side and 0 discount will be done. This in the morning after their early bid discount was done. I am very disappointed

All good intentions however, being moved into four different groups in a half day session (refresher for me), proved to learn how to snow plough four times. It was obviously early in this season (18/19), and group organisation was quite poor.

Had 2.5hr Group Lesson at Happo One. I don't think I was put in the correct group so I didn't feel I got very much from it. Spent too long waiting for people falling over.. lol
Wish I had insisted on being put up to the next level. Anyway it was a nice day and all the instructors Aussies, Brits and Kiwis were Super friendly and nice..

How incredibly disappointed we were to have our three kids lessons cancelled on due to visa issues on Evergreen s end. They made no effort to make accommodations or assist us in any way. We were able to make arrangements at Hakuba Snow Sports, and our kids had fantastic lessons! To those considering to book holiday ski lessons for your kids with Evergreen, beware... they can cancel on you last minute leaving your holiday in a complete tailspin! Would not recommend.

Very professional, close to scientific. Both guides were relaying the group's position frequently to the guide office and digging pitholes to stay on top of the condition of the snowlayer, and documenting it. We enjoyed skiing BC with James & Terry who had a great attitude. It takes skills to entertain a Nordic group who have been skiing offpiste/BC more than 10 years together. Well done.

Snowboarding for the first time and booked a full day lesson. The next day I was completing a full green without falling and even attempted a couple of reds (unsuccessfully)! Haha... had the best experience and walked away with a good tool kit on how to get off a chair lift to how to control my board safely and finally how
to snowboard with my leading leg! Couldn t recommend them enough!!!

We (totally nine people) booked 3 6-hour private lesson with EVERGREEN and requested a private instructor who can definitely speak Mandarin. We completed booking and payment 3 months ago before the class starts.
On the webpage, it says if we buy 6-hr lesson, we can choose private instructor who can speak Mandarin as well as the techniques we would like to learn.
1. On class, we told Chinese instructor what techniques we would like to learn, he clearly said that he won t be able to do that because he is not qualified for teaching those skills. OK then we suggested Evergreen a workaround solution, we asked if Evergreen can send us a qualified English instructor to teach us higher level skills and Chinese instructor can be the translator but we got REFUSED! I want to addressed this again, we definitely let you know our levels and what skills we want to learn when we made a booking, but the instructor you sent could only teach us BASIC skill that we already have. You apparently IGNORED our request! It s a cheating again, we paid but we didn t deserve what we paid!! We paid and you should offer without prejudice to our rights.
2. We booked 6-hr private lesson with instructor who can speak Mandarin, upon our arrival to meeting point, we were just informed you assigned us an English instructor! We talked to the front desk staff asking for help but they IGNORED our request with very bad attitude! The front desk staff didn t even find any solution for us but just IGNORED and we could only accept because no one was willing to help us! The instructor was truly nice and patient, just as I said, we don t understand English and that caused the problem we couldn t learn well from this nice instructor (Not his fault he was teaching with passion and patience, we liked him), finally we almost gave up learning due to language barrier! We didn t deserve what we paid again!

Evergreen team came to Taiwan for promotion last year and we were greatly impressed by your passion and profession and we thought Evergreen must be a great ski school, that s why we immediately determined to join the classes in (Hakuba) without any hesitation. However what we were treated is totally different from what you are supposed to offer! We feel so disappointed and unsatisfied by your service and attitude, no passion no service only IGNORE . We are not responsible for your miscommunication during your team, YOU SHOULD NOT WASTE OUR TIME AND MONEY BY OFFERING SUCH A TERRIBLE SERVICE! What we are requesting now is to know how you can resolve this issue with your sincerity. We will never give up to fight for our rights.

It's a great ski school. The staff and the instructors are super friendly. The instructor are all not just good at skiing, but all very patient teachers as well. And finally, they have great attitude for the kids school. They encourage the children without being either excessively pushy or excessively passive. I'd highly recommend this to anyone.

Today, I had Jesse, from Ontario Canada, as my level 3 snowboarding instructor. Can not rate him enough, super super friendly and patient. Gives really good tips and tricks for better technique, and was very motivating at getting up us and going when you re facedown. 5/5

A big thanks to Evergreen for the backcountry day ...

A big thanks to Evergreen for the backcountry day last Saturday (9th March) and especially to our guides Nate and Zak. It was a bluebird Spring day but with a wildly variable temperature gradient and 20cm of fresh snow, conditions were challenging. Nate managed to hunt out four awesome runs of fresh pow for us all to enjoy. Nate's attention to detail, assessment of the conditions and support of everyone in the group were totally professional. It was a great adventure that goes down as one of my all time ski days. And the equipment was great, loved the K2 Coombacks with skins made to measure!

Back at my desk in Sydney, my head is still somewhere out in the mountains of the Tsugaike backcountry. Well done to the whole team at Evergreen!

We had a wonderful half day snowshoe tour today. The scenery is stunning and it was a unique experience seeing parts of the mountain we couldn t access on our own. We are a group of 4 adults and 3 children (6,6 and 9) and our guides were so very patient and flexible with the kids who loved the tour but always struggle with their gear and walking and new experiences. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We d definitely recommend.

Great ski school for those just starting out. The entire operation is run very efficiently. They are very responsive to emails, offer advice on where to rent gear, have various pick up points in the morning, and drop you back at those points after the lessons. I highly recommend going for full-day classes. The school is also right on the ski slopes, so it is very conveniently situated (ski passes can be purchased right outside the school). Instructors very enthusiastic and made the lessons a lot of fun.
