Great facility in Tamworth. My wife is a gym member and she finds the classes and equipment to be excellent. The swimming pools are super, including for youngsters as there are separate junior and baby pools as well as the large pool for stronger swimmers. Swimming lessons for kids are well priced and high quality. I've had snowboard lessons which were very good and reasonably priced, although use of the slope recreational isn't cheap (but hey, snow sports aren't ever really cheap). The skating rink is also good fun. The Christmas time events are nicely done and entertain the kids.

I went ice skating here was a lot of fun! A good day out for all the family. Will definitely go back to go skiing. Would recommend for a day out with a partner or your kids.
What an experience, swimming, ice skatting, ski-ing, easy access changing rooms, And a cool relaxing bar. A great way to spend a weekend out with the family at the hotel right next door
It was ok. Very busy. Not as clean as it used to be. Can't grumble too much though, the weather and floods were bad out. Staff were pleasant and helpful though.
We booked for the inflatable and flume session which, it turns out, is not running at present. This was not clear on the website. The best I can say about the pool is that it has water in it. The facilities are tired and dirty, there is rust everywhere and broken tiles in the pool are patched with tape. Graffiti in the changing rooms finished the neglected effect. It is clear that there has been no investment in the pool for some time and I fail to see how they charge what they do. I did complain and was offered a credit voucher, which is all well and good if I intend on returning.......
We took the kids here for a snowboarding lesson. The instructor was friendly the only problem was the number of people on the slope. There are too many begginers all rammed in together. What was worse was the weekend warriors who had obviously had a couple of lessons and thought the could ski. Coming down faster than their ability would allow. I'm an experienced skier and after watching the carnage from the balcony I was glad not to be on the slope. Having said all that the kids enjoyed themselves. If you are thinking of coming here and need to travel save yourself a fortune and go to your local dry skislope
I was expecting a magical time with my 4 year old and in part it was
We arrived as requested nearly and was told come back in 20 minutes
Found the rickety lockers that require a non refundable 20p and hung around
Eventually we were allowed down the stairs and and now stuck in a room wrapped up in all the requested layers to keep us warm which was getting fuller and fuller so naturally it was getting hotter and hotter
Eventually old man winter appeared and proceeded to walk around the room meeting and greeting people 25 minutes later we were finally allowed on to the snow
1 half decent slope to tube down and 3 pointless one that's were tiny
The room itself was Valery small.and the so called trail was very short
The santa show was good and enjoyable except the Cheshire cat graphics seemed to scare a few of the kids and my 4year old has mentioned a few times since coming home
The animals were ok as well
During the santa show he mentioned there was a treat for everyone on the way out which when we got there was told it was for the school parties only not exactly fair as we had paid full price
Would I go back ???
NO
if I'm honest it's in desperate need of modernising and an expansion would be nice Noticed the ice ring in the middle surely that should have been part of the feature but it's not
Tobogganing: the slope was icy/compacted and difficult to control the toboggan on, leading to numerous crashes (it was plowed after our group and the next run was much more controlled.) The adrenaline tubing worked out at a lot of queuing and 6 runs in 30 minutes, or around 3 minutes of actual activity - not worth the money at all.
Haven't been for years. Booked up the climbing online for 2 adults and 2 kids. The pics on the website looked good. As soon as we got there, realized it was really something for kids and younger teens, not for adults. It was well-organised and supervised. But, not nearly as good as other places we've been to. Would come back for the skiing though.
We had a really good time but most of the activities were at an extra cost and where it states 'snow play' there actually only tubes down a snow ramp. The children had a good time and we will go next year but we will definitely book extra activities in advance because everything in Santa's wonderland had a short time limit. We were going to eat at the coffee shop but they had no food left, at 1230!!, so we ate in the restaurant, Aspens I think it's called, the food was cold, burnt, tasteless and there wasn't enough on the plate to fill my one year old granddaughters belly at a cost of 5.95. Per child's meal. Even the play area was at an extra cost. The best part was definitely the mini pantomime.
Went for 3 hour lesson but found it too crowded and although I managed to get the basics, a few times I was knocked over by mainly youngsters who thought they could ski but were going too fast and out of control - the last one taking my More
Our two 5-year olds had a great time on the ski intro. The session was fun, simple and a great way to get young ones started on the snow. My concerns over my daughter not wanting to go it alone quickly disappeared
Snowboarding. Wasn't to busy went on a Thursday 12-1. Free parking for motorbikes although no specific space. Lockers 20p not refundable but a good size.
Had a really good time, we went tobogganing and ice skating. The ice skating was great but felt the price was a bit much for the tobogganing for how much time we were given. There were that many people in our group we only had about 8 goes each(family of 4) and that was with us being at the front of the line first.
Brilliant place, got from beginner to skiin down the slope within 3 hours. Ethane was a great instructor. A great day out and and a worthwhile head start for our family ski holiday
Good fun, we went tobogganing with our kids (over 10 can go on their own) potty the sessions only last 30 mins with the que probably only got to go down the slope around 8 times
We took our 6 month old swimming at the snowdome and it was really good. Everything is different at the moment because of Covid but they'd done a good job with one way systems and social distancing stuff, it felt pretty safe. The changing rooms were a bit bare bones and there were no locks on the cubical doors but it's a minor complaint. There's a really good cafe in the lobby with a lovely view of the ski slope along the windows. The staff there were great as well, really helpful and organised.
Love the place. So much to do! Instructors are friendly and knowledgable too for the ski/snowboard courses. The ice track is awesome! Rink is good too!
What a fantastic day out for the whole family (or individuals/couples) it's well suited to everyone. The main slope is great fun for skiing or snowboarding no matter what your skill level is. There are activities aimed at smaller children such as tobboggoning or tubbing down a smaller slope. Other fun activities are ice skating and a snow area to play in as well as a studio. Food is available from a restraint which is good quality and well priced and if you want a Starbucks... There's one on site. Loved the whole experience and will be doing it again (and again and again) Please leave a like if this review helped, thank you.
Good price and a good quality slope for beginners. Lessons are easy for beginners but beyond that there isn't much for more advance skiers (some small jumps....) Good late night tobogganing but is often very busy and the toboggans are cheap and nasty which can make steering difficult. Lots of other sporting things to do here.
I was up for 7.30am, had breakfast around 8 I think. Wheatabix, 2 of them and then some toast. Cup of tea and then popped to shops. I had to pick up a pair of gloves for one of the kids, I chose the red ninja turtle ones, Raphael. Home for about 10am maybe 10.15 kids had all eaten breakfast, one had rice crispies and the others had jam on toast. The wife was getting a packed lunch ready for the snowdome so I made some ham sandwiches and put them in the bag. The party wasn't until 1pm so we all watched the Simpsons and had more tea. I opened some biscuits, bourbons and we had couple and watched another episode. We left at 12.15 and took a detour to pick up a parcel on the way. We had to go to the post office to get it, an amazon delivery we'd missed. I think it was a plug for a phone charger or maybe a potatoe ricer. They were only three people in the queue, the first two were sending a parcel and were relatively quick but the third person took a lot longer dealing with a passport issue. I collected the parcel and headed back to the car. We took the motorway for a junction then it was fairly well signposted from Tamworth, we parked roughly two hundred metres away from the entrance next to a people carrier. We enjoyed the facilities and took part in some sledging and saw people skiing. We left at the end of the party at around 5pm and took an alternative route home, going south to see if it was better. We got caught in a minor jam about seven miles from home which took the shine off the day.
Felt like cattle on a weekend. Instructions were rushed and group was over packed. Had time for a fee activities and not the lesson we expected. Facility is amazing but demand is not being met
Great place for learning to ski or to get some practice in prior to a ski trip. Very efficiently run and great restaurant overlooking the slope that serves lovely pizzas amongst other things!
Great day out. I took the 4-6 slot which was a little quiet but there were some icy patches that beginners might struggle with. I'd not been skiing in 20yrs so it was a great refresher but 2 hrs was plenty on the one slope. More suited for beginners or lessons.
Great place to have a good laugh boarding, all staff are happy and really helpful if need advice on kit or technique! My mate had a great time learning snow boarding for the first time and left the full day lesson happy and able to board happily by him self! My only gripe is that I wish the slop was longer and wider!
