Had a chance to sneak off during the week and go snowboarding here. Worth the drive. Outstanding time and great pot pie. I also have an allergy and they were extremely accommodating.
Great terrain and easy proximity to town. Prices are getting a little silly here and starting to get over crowded but still plenty of good times for all here
So much terrain and a beautiful mountain with plenty of views! Season pass is definitely worth it and is even cheaper than other comparable mountains within the northern Utah area.
So small, yet has what you need. Very friendly staff and skiers. Beautiful mountains!
Great skiing, great lodges, great summer activities, great local resort
Friendly staff, great facilities! Would enjoy riding again on a powder day! The bathrooms are extravagant, as are the light fixtures and chandeliers...no idea why, but I did enjoy having nice facilities. New lifts, gondolas, etc... curious lack of and/or small size concession areas, but again, the bathrooms are amazing. The base has what looks like some fine dining options. Or maybe they are regular dining options and I couldn't tell because the whole Lodge was decked out. Either way it was a nice place with friendly people and I think the steeps would be amazing on a powder day!
I have been Skiing here since I way 2 years old and it is absolutely fantastic. Definitely a recommend. The food is a bit pricey but it is delicious. If you are looking for a job then this is the place. You get a season pass and are able to give day passes to friends. Truly an amazing place, the mountain itself is amazing and I love every run. If you are looking for a day (or 2) off then I strongly recommend Snowbasin.
Wow was surprised what a place beautiful mountains friendly people high mountains
Not one bad thing to say about this place. Much better than the crowds at Park City. Everyone we spoke to is very friendly and welcoming. Very few flat areas, most of the mountain has vertical from top to bottom. Lots of large, long and wide open runs. Much of the area was groomed (good since we came when there wasn't recent snowfall). Beautiful scenery. Maybe my favorite mountain in the area. This, and Snowbird. Will be trying Powder Mountain today.
I am Spartan! great location with steep hikes and tons of parking.
Mike the owner is awesome! Personable, caring and runs a top notch breakfast, lunch, early dinner Cafe. You get a free bag of popcorn with your meal. I had the veggie lovers pannini with pesto and cheese. Awesome. I also had sweet potato fries, crisp not oily and flavorful. My husband had a burger and onion rings, again, awesome. The onion rings were crisp and not oily! We stopped the next day and I had a Pina colada strawberry smoothie. Can I say YUM! My husband asked if they could make up a shake; chocolate hazlenut and they did and it too was awesome. A must stop in to eat place. You will not be disappointed. Say hi to Mike!
Great staff, wonderful mountain and logistics for blue skiers
First time up there, no snow, grounds flooded due to spring runoff but was a wonderful view.
Blues, Brews, and BBQ is no longer my favorite place to go on Sunday s. Snowbasin not honoring their promise of using the old mugs for years to come left a bad taste in my mouth. Laws change, I get that, but honor your customers and give us a discount or offer a trade in. After being a long time customer, I m sincerely disappointed.
Glad that Snowbasin allows uphill traffic. Makes for a great morning.
Beautiful location! Great snowboarding! Yummy food! :)
Don't miss it ! Nice place to ski if is a cold day! Sun is always on the top!
Don't forget to visit strawberry peak
Great mountain, well layed out lift access, solid conditions. Earl's kitchen staff was rude and unhelpful during a mountain wide shutdown due to lightning. So you all know, your website says lunch starts at Earl's at 10:30.
Such a large resort with essentially three different mountains. Needles runs for tourists, groomers, and to stay near the lodges. Strawberry for long wide open runs in open spaces. And John Paul for crazy black diamonds, forests, and that big mountain feel.
First class resort, lots of acreage, handles crowds well with 2 bottom-to-top gondolas and 2 high speed chair lifts.
Great place to ski and snowboard. A lot of varied terrain for all skill levels. The lodges are extremely nice and comfortable. Parking can be a pain, especially on busy weekends, but the skiing more than makes up for it.
Skiing was awesome and we listened to a fantastic band in the lodge yesterday (Bread and Circus) hope to see them up there this summer! Great place, great times!!
This is a wonderful resort. If you're a beginner or intermediate there are plenty of runs available. Be sure to utilize their complimentarily shuttle service to minimize your walking before you strap in for some runs. One of my all time favorite resorts and the inside of the buildings are lavish. Home to the best snow on Earth!!
Beautiful resort with flowy single track in the summer
First time there it was a surprise on how nice this resort was. Grooming was awesome, people were friendly, we had a great time.
Some of the best skiing in the Ogden and Valley Area. I hope that they recover from the pandemic well, as it might be hard to get new hires.
The food up here is some of the best food I have ever ordered, and the resort is massive. I do wish that they would limit day tickets on pow days to let season pass holders get more out of it but there's still a lot of terrain to go around.
Good snow, the resort is geared toward people down to pay excessively. Smh
Skiing became my passion on these slopes. Perhaps my favorite memories of life were made at this resort. The mountain is large enough to always find something new to shred. The double blacks at the top of the mountain are stunning! Children, families, and hard core enthusiasts will all find joy on this mountain. The lifts are great. The crew is always capable!
The food is amazing. It is expensive; however, it always leaves you tempted to buy more despite of the price.
A beautiful and fun resort year around without the huge park city crowds. Plenty of challenging ski terrain, a bit more of an intermediate resort with a lot of steep and back country like areas. A small super-beginner area once you graduate from there it s closer to intermediate runs.
Love mountain biking the trail system all summer but if you are looking for a custom built terrain park go to Deer Valley, SnowBasin is mostly natural trails.
We spent $70 on mugs at the last event of 2018 because they claimed they would be good for future events. Arrived this year and were told they are no longer going to honor it. Poor business and a waste of recourses over what, $15 in profit on a mug?
20 plus thousand vertical feet. Awesome runs great day.
Loved, loved, loved Snowbasin. Went there after skiing Snowbird, Alta, and Park City, and liked Snowbasin better in quite a few ways. The snow was the freshest (un-skied powder everywhere), the lodge was incredible, and the staff was so friendly. Just a great mountain in general
Awesome summer programming with lots of activities and a weekly concert series.
Beautiful and so green all summer long. The lodge is one of the most stunning buildings I've ever been in.
We love visiting in the spring, summer, and fall. They have a great playground and frisbee golf is a great way to break up a great hike.
I love snow basin and have been to several full moon events. Was extremely disappointed last night. The meteor showers was something I was interested in seeing through a telescope. There were supposed to be several big telescopes from the astrological society. There. Couldn't find any. Several other people were looking for them too. We left early and talked to an employee who told us the society pulled out a month ago. Why wasn't it made known? It was a beautiful night and always enjoy the top if the mountain. Just disappointing that after such a huge hype, it disappointed.
Great resort, love the lodge. Pretty awesome Sunday brunch with gondola ride. Blues Brews and BBQs during the summer. Year round fun.
Earl's Lodge was fantastic, but the best part was the skiing! Even with the limited runs open it was an amazing experience!
Been up there for 4 different mountain bike races. Very pretty and spacious resort.
I attended the Basin Brew Fest, the food was great, the beer was excellent, and the live music was awesome! Beautiful for the fall colors
My first time skiing ever. I had a great first experience, and decided to go to ski school the first day, which is the best decision I could have made for myself. Dennis was my instructor and did a great job at teaching the basics. I have a solid foundation, and look forward to learning and growing more. Snowbasin was a stellar resort; very clean, spacious, and friendly, and run very professionally.
Runs took 20 minutes to ski down- fantastic. Beautiful chalet inside and out. Fun pop music playing outside. Nice quick hot wax beside main gondola. Schnazzy washrooms.
Why do so many skiier and snowboarders frown in the chalet?? It seemed I couldn't get one smile out of anyone. Perhaps it's because outside isn't allowed at the tables inside.
Love, love, love this place. My husband and I already have season passes. This will be our second year to have season passes here. We RV full time, so we stay in Ogden and ski Snowbasin.
They have great food, service and skiing.
The chalets are so clean along with the restrooms and lounge areas.
Of course the staff are wonderful and playful. I enjoy the staff a lot.
The food services managers need some refresher training on customer service. Especially at the needles lodge. He spoke to my group on two seperate occasions to inform us the food wasnt going g to be served for 3 more minutes while we were perusing the menus at 10:57 ....seriously? I have had similar experiances at Earls as well.
The servers I found to be quite polite, and the cinnabar has been excellent..
I am wondering why I continue to buy a season pass. ...when the customer service is so disappointing. You charge top dollar for food. ..I expect top service
I love this place! The lodges provide such a relaxed atmosphere and the snowboarding is epic! Utah snow never disappoints!!
Stunning views, beautiful wildflowers, and the gondola ride is something I will definitely do again. The ridge trail was not accessible due to snow, so that hike will be rescheduled later in the summer. We enjoyed a lower hhike instead.
The best slopes, the best restaurants, the best shop.
Great scenery
Great Blues & Brews
This is one of my youngest children's favorite resorts, even after only 1 visit so far. The 8 person gondolas were fantastic especially on a windy, stormy day. Fun runs. We had a good mix of groomed and powdery runs. Upscale, comfortable feel to the lodges.
This is the ski resort in Utah! By far the best staff and mountain you can be at for a visit or a season pass.
Came here to Utah for the first time ever to visit both park city and snowbasin and I am equally blown away by both of these amazing resorts. From the wide variety of trails and the ample amount of lifts, snowbasin truly has it all. Apparently it was built from a billionaires vision and the architecture of the buildings truly reflect his tastes. The chandelier and the massive tree trunk structure of the buildings is awe inspiring before you even head up the mountain.
The top of the mountain is where they held the mens and womens downhill and the view from there is absolutely stunning. You can see all of salt lake city and park city and even the mountains that surround the cities from up at the top of snowbasin. The trails have a great variety with some being extremely wide and some being narrower and more pathed. Overall this was an adventure and I haven t even touched probably 80% of the mountain yet so I will definitely be coming back in the future.
Big disappointment went up to blues and brews they don't honor any of the old mugs. They want you to buy a new mug that's a lot smaller . Big Downer but I'll go up there enjoy the free concert.
