Absolutely worth the drive. Not only is the terrain huge with wide open groomers, the facilities are great. The main lodge looks as if you are going into a fancy hotel. As a side note, my car rental keys fell out of my pocket on the slopes. Not only did ski patrol find them, but they looked for the car they belonged to, left a note, and drove the keys back to me in the parking lot. Certainly some of the best customer service I have ever seen at a ski resort.

The resort is excellent! There are tons of runs and although there are a lot of people you don't really notice it because the place is so big. The lodge is really nice and the food is great!

I don t know where to start. Service was excellent, everyone was very friendly. The groomed runs skied well. The snow quality on the black diamonds was the best I ve experienced. The rental equipment was brand new, so it held up well on the slopes. Scenery wise, it s Utah, which means the views are absolutely stunning. Definitely coming back again, and I d totally recommend this resort to a friend.

My wife had just had back surgery and we were contemplating having lunch on top. We asked an employee who was walking by. He graciously suggested that we wait a few weeks for my spouse to heal some more. He had back surgery a while ago and had an idea how the ride might affect my wife. He suggested we eat at the vendors at the base. There was a good variety of good tasting food.

We where in need of two empty bags for the food we couldn't eat (too much). They gave them to us for free even though I offered to pay.

Snowbasin has grown into World Class resort.

Nice easy greens for are lower skilled members of are group. And some very nice black and blues for more advanced members of are group to split off on and meet back up at the bottom of the hill.

Purchased ticket on line for yoga. Sitting here picking my nose. Nobody can tell me what time the ticket booth opens. Yoga is 915 and all I can get out of the staff is I might get my ticket at 9 maybe they don t open until 10 ???? Will not ever do this again. Supposed to be a fun relaxing day and it s nothing but stress. Might not even make the class.

I like skiing here, and I get a season pass every season.

My biggest complaint is food prices versus its quality, and the large fee for a replacement pass.

I just spent over $400 for a season pass. Dont charge me $25 if I loose it after a wipeout. It costs nothing to print it, you arnt fooling anyone.

Great place in the winter and summer. The only complaint is that the summer mountain bike lifts are only opened Sat and Sun, and I have weekdays open. But that s a minor point. Still 5 star resort

Been coming here 40+ years. Great snowboarding in winter and fantastic hiking & biking in the Summer. You can take the gondola for $14. to the top. And hike around tbe peaks then hike down if your feeling ambitious. Or take your bike and ride down. Blues Brews & bbq concert series is awesome & free. Lodges are amazing. Good food, just expensive.

Best lodges anywhere (just like Sun valley). For long black diamond groomed runs, head for John Paul lift. Both the John Paul and Needles lodges on top of the mountain are exquisite with amazing views. Great terrain options. Plenty of fun long groomed runs. It's like a bigger version of Sun Valley without the cute town.

Overpriced, oversold, overhyped. For starters, it s a ski mountain, they hate snowboarders, so if you board, forget about it. On top of that the snow was icy from the massive amounts of traffic and their rental boots are garbage. Go to Powder mountain 15 minutes away and have a great time.

Honestly, the best resort I have ever skied at. I have been to resorts across all of utah, Idaho and Wyoming and nothing even comes close to the quality for the price, other than sun valley(a resort owned by snowbasin). The service is fantastic, the food is amazing and it's all fairly priced for being a ski resort. I have skied here since I was 3 and will probably be skiing here for the rest of my life.

I have mixed feelings about Snowbasin. The mountain is great and they do a really good job with their grooming. It isn't ideal for learners because there are a very limited number of beginner runs but mid level and advanced skiers/snowboarders should really enjoy this resort. The lines usually move pretty well even when it's busy (if they've got the gates in place on time). However, it's not uncommon for lifts (the Needles gondola usually) to open late seemingly because of ill planned/delayed execution of mountain preparations like avalanche control. Race season can be frustrating too because great runs get closed off.

Most of the food at the lodge is pretty good; the basin burger is amazing. The main lodge (Earles) doesn't have enough inside seating for the lunch crowds so it can be a zoo. The floor supervisor roams around policing for people to kick off of tables (especially if you've brought your own food). If your a parent waiting for children in lessons you'll be hard pressed to find a cozy place to wait unless your willing to sit at a small table and keep a steady stream of food coming in from their kitchen. Otherwise the lodge bouncer might send you away (to the outside tables). They definitely have a space problem.

Still great after all these years! The snow, the terrain, the lifts and the lodges along with top notch employees make this a day I look forward to every season as an East coast visitor. Prices are creeping up for single day visits between advanced purchase tickets and the food in the lodges, but still worth a visit. The snow is always fantastic and the long runs are an excellent way to spend a day outside. Someday I hope they can work out a strawberry solution when visibility is low so you don't have to follow the lollipops off the top 1/8th of that section to enjoy the other 7/8ths. I only mention that because they clearly are reading these reviews. A detachable chair to a point on the strawberry side would be amazing.

I mistakenly posted a negative review (which was meant for a cottonwood canyon area that charges for parking) and I sincerely apologise to the snowbasin team for that post. Thank you for responding with class- even though it was totally not about you.

This was my first experience skiing. The staff are amazing and very helpful. If this is your first time or if your experienced I would highly recommend Snowbasin. I will definitely be returning maybe to do lessons even.

I've skied up here since I was young. The mountain is great as well as the facilities, but year after year the customer service is just terrible. I'm not sure whose is worse, Comcast or Snowbasin. I would much rather deal with the IRS.

Started out good, but has suddenly gotten worse. It seems it is less for the experience and more for the money. It caters to beginners and people just visiting the mountain, but locals are not accounted for. The park rats are making the mountain too dangerous to ski on.

Snowbasin is one of those grand resorts that is quiet and unassuming. The facilities are the best in the US with wool carpets, tapestries on the walls, glass and gold chandeliers, marble bathrooms; it really is so nice the first time I entered the new lodge I was searching for a place to check my ski boots. Food is awesome and pricey but at least it tastes amazing. I love the tomato bisque soup, Sunday brunch is awesome and the skiing is fabulous. Fast lifts and gondolas, lots of room to spread out, and world class avalanche control. Seriously one of the best resorts in the world in my opinion, quiet but all the glitz of a world class resort.

No traffic woes to get there, fast lifts, friendly and warm service, fine powder everywhere, lots of terrain for everyone and simple strait forward skiing!
Just book at a hotel around Ogden instead of Salt Lake so that you won t be late everyday that you ski there!
