Every time I come here I wait at least 30 minutes...

Every time I come here I wait at least 30 minutes beyond my scheduled appointment time to get in and see a dentist. If you are late your appointment is threatened but there seems to be no concern to let patients wait a long time. Something needs to get fixed with the scheduling. I also waited at the reception area with 3 people staring at computer terminals ignoring me and one of them simultaneously rolling up a spindle of receipt paper that had unfurled. I guess that is more important than getting patients checked in as well.

We've been coming here for several years. It is hit or miss at best. The dentists and dental assistants are usually very nice and put my daughter at ease. Reception is a whole different story. It doesn't matter how early you arrive, they are always behind. We have had the same insurance for the last year and they have to correct it at every appointment. They have a sign in the reception area pertaining to being on time but do not respect their patient's time.

In July 2017, I went to SmileKrafters. I waited two hours in the small waiting room before I got oral surgery for all 4 wisdom teeth to be removed. I had to come back because I had dry-socket. The treatment for dry-socket had me in literal tears! They didn't care and continued to treat it in the painful manner of which they were. I came back a week later, I was laying in the chair, and I was waiting for the treatment to be removed. The oral surgeon walked in and asked, while holding my papers, "We're removing your teeth today?" and had tools ready to remove teeth. A nurse came in and told him "wrong room doc" and he looked completely surprised. After I got the treatment removed, no pain. But now it is months later and I feel an excruciating amount of pain where my four teeth once were. Terrible job done by SmileKrafters. Terrible customer service, and call system (one time they canceled but never told me and I lived 45 minutes away so it wasn't a short drive to and from the place), overall a bad experience. I moved across the state so I can't go get this fixed, but I can file a lawsuit.

So if you have children, or even yourself, please do not go there. There's literally so much pain in the end.

This is the worst place to go. Their policies are rediculous ! If you have more than one child and want their appts on the same day you need to bring one adult per child or you have to choose which child you re leaving unattended. They have an outsourced calling/scheduling center that leave you cancellation voicemails you can t hear. You can t understand a word they re saying when you try to make an appt. my husband showed up on time for his appt and waited in line to check in bc there was a person having a payment issue and when it was finally his turn they said he couldn t be seen bc he was Late for his appt! I was turned away from an appt because my sons insurance had changed since his last appt and if it took the girl beyond our appt time to input the new info- automatic cancel?! When you get called back with your child you re waiting forever in a tiny space with no where to sit but there will always be someone to walk by and tell you- an adult, to put your cellphone away. If there is one way I can describe the experience of taking your child here- it s a child dental factory assembly line. RUN!

My children have been coming to Smile Crafters for years. The place is beautiful, the scenery is very cute however I have now come into two incidents where the staff has brought my blood to a boil! They have an answering system that the people answering the phones, are not directly connected with the office. 6 months ago I was going to be 1 minute late because there was an accident on the highway. When I called to let the service know they told me I would be ok to just show up the 1 minute late as I arrived up the elevator to arrive to my appointment as promised 1 minute late I was turned away and told they do not take patients that show up late to their appointments. I told them they allow their Doctors to run sometimes 30 minutes late, but my one minute late (that wasn t in my control) caused them to cancel my appointment. THEN the next incident was, my confirmation call, again from the service unconnected to their business, called and I confirmed I would be there. I show up 30 minutes early to my appointment in fear that I would again be turned away due to traffic. I go to check in, the woman tells me that there was a phone call made this morning that my insurance was in question and that I wouldn t be seen becaus of it after driving here from 30 minutes away, not receiving any kind of call from this horrible place to warn me to call my insurance to find out. Not only did I not receive a call, with proof in my phone log that they didn t call me a lady behind the check in desk says to me Excuese me, it s your responsibility to make sure your insurance is up to date for your children not knowing anything about the situation, or not knowing that I am organized when it comes to these things she was nasty and carried her tone with me very unprofessionally. There were other words portrayed to me as though I was at fault for them not calling me before the appointment to make sure I knew the insurance was indeed active! When I did call to make sure the Insurance was active the tone was still ugly as well as defensive when I asked her to apologize to me for the way she spoke to me.

Love this orthodontist office . Everyone is so nice & patient. Dr. Dhyllon and his staff are wonderful, they are very patient. Love how organized and cleaned the environment is. the staff are very welcoming and makes you feel comfortable and like you are in good hands at all times.

I will never come back to smile Krafters. They made a lady leave her toddler in the waiting room alone to take her other back to the dentist. Anything could have happened and people sometimes don t have the help of other to be able to babysit.
The most unprofessional place I have ever been to.

Her name was Jaime. She was incredibly kind and patient. I asked her various questions concerning my teeth and dental health in general and she informed me of many things I didn t know about. It was nice to see I was learning something while getting my teeth cleaned!!

the dental assistant, cierra, was very kind and made me feel very comfortable. not only that, she was easy to talk to and gave me advice regarding job search & college.

The dentists and dental hygienists are awesome, but the wait is absolutely ridiculous. Everytime my sons have a cleaning appointment or need to get work done they wait 45 minutes to an hour before they are seen. I'm not happy about pulling my sons out of school for appointments only to have to wait an hour for them to be seen when they could have finished up their school day. That is way too long to make children wait. If this problem isn't fixed soon I will be looking for a new dentist for my sons, my husband, and myself. My family and I have been coming to this practice for 6 years and I noticed that this ridiculous wait started about 2 years ago. Something needs to be done about the long wait or you will lose patients.

The absolute worst medical facility I have ever dealt with! Referral for insurance wasn't put in until I called to check on it...and if you have to reach them by phone, don't EVEN bother!!! You will NEVER talk to a human being, nor will any message left be returned! After I physically went to the office to make an appointment, they handed me an email to use for further communication! OK...and had I not gone into the office, I would have never talked to anyone from there! Unbelievable....
The office is beautifully decorated with lots of expensive tile and such....makes me think they should spend less on decor and much, much more on patient service!
The reason I gave even ONE star?? They had Saturday hours...

Made an appointment for both my sons 3 months in advance. Gave the receptionist my new insurance information. Spoke to the office twice before my appointment. Drive in a snow storm to get to the appointment only to find out my insurance isn t in the system and now it has to be updated. They can t get anyone on the phone to update it and I need to wait to be seen till the process is taking care of. Why within two months weren t they prepared for my appointment. After giving my insurance info twice over the phone. Normally I wouldn t care but weather conditions are bad and I don t want to sit in here an extra a hour because someone didn t do their job. After waiting for a half an hour and nothing was done. I went up and asked them if I just call my insurance will this be solved since no one has done anything. Did so and insurance told them I m active for service. Why as the patient am I doing this to be seen?

I ve just had the best experience at any Dentist office I ve ever been too real talk !!!! Before entering I was stressed out nervous and uncomfortable even going to my appointment.

1st visit with DMD Patel and his assistant but let me tell you if your looking for professionalism, good patient care, and kindness the whole staff will offer you just that.
From the relaxing music, communication, and patients Safety then look no further fellow patients and plz be sure to leave them a good review.

I really wish the person who ran this horrible place would have walked in and saw this mess.. My appointment was for 1:15 and just now at 2:22 am I seeing the oral surgeon.. The seating area was completely filled and there were at least 20 people standing.. What I see from other reviews this isn't a first.. Hands down the worst experience I've had with any company.

I had a great experience with SmileKrafters in Allentown. Dr. Durai is great! She was friendly, answered all of the questions I had and made sure I was comfortable. The heigenist Joie is wonderful, she was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure I was comfortable. I will definitely be going back!

I'm a senior citizen and don't have the best insurance in fact it's probably low as you can go. I was thinking you get what you pay for. After bouncing back and forth between this office and there other oral surgeon office in Whitehall I only got a referral for what I had of my upper teeth to be removed. I wish I had pushed at my very first dental exam to have all teeth removed with the upper ones. Now i went for a second exam to get a second referal to get a second consultation with possabley the same surgeon then schedgual a second surgery to get my bottoms out. Each appointment is at least three weeks waiting and as long as 7 weeks waiting because I was a new patient. When it is all done I will need to wait 3 months to be fitted for dentures. I was just referred to and called different office on fri. and got my first appointment for exam on monday and they said if I can get this place to send xray I might be able to get all eight remaining teeth out then. If not then at least the two that hurt and remaining ones soon after. A friend had all her teeth removed about 20 years ago. She got fitted for her compleats in a lot less than the three months that I was told by this place. I will get second opinion from the new dennist on that. The new place is farther away, but a bus leaves regularly from center city Allentown and goes right past the new dentist. Wish I looked around way back on the first time.

Very hard to believe any medical or in this case dental office can keep getting people to keep coming. I came on this site just to post my complaint. Wow look at all the bad reviews. At smile krafters i had to work real hard to talk to someone for appointments or any other reason Then i had to keep waiting to see a dentist for an exam then I had to wait to get three teeth removed. I got frustrated with tooth ache and of waiting. I went to dentist at 17th and chew. That was the worst place ever the dentist pulled a tooth that I had a root canal done to and did not need to come out and that was even proven by previous x-ray and exam. Then she failed to pull one real bad one that did need to come out. The other two I wanted out. She tried to pull two of the three teeth and she either lacked confidence or the strength to break them free so she spent the next three hrs. drilling them out in pieces. I found two horrible dentists in allentown. I'm terrified about needing to do it again. Where do I go? maybe another town!

The office dental assistants are very nice as well as the general dentist. The people who answer the phones and schedule appointments have no clue what they are doing. I was put on hold while trying to make an appointment for over 20 mins, I then called back only to be put on hold again. I guess I should be happy that a person actually picked up the phone. When I tried to schedule an appointment I was told that I needed a referral for a deep cleaning. I had to explain to the person who answered the phone that they are the one's who ordered the deep cleaning. The right and hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. They are not the worst dentist I ever had but they could use improvement

She was very thorough with my teeth cleaning, and since I haven't been to the dentist in a while because of the start of the pandemic, this was very relieving. Recently, I came for an appointment and was very disappointed. They suck at answering the phone, get your name wrong, and mess up insurance information. They don t care about you at all! The front receptionists were very slow and still supposedly training . When I was finally back, they just left me there for more than 30 min before tending to me. He didn t even look at my profile and images. The oral hygienist spoke more than he did. What a lazy and incompetent dentist!

The orthodontist department of Smile Krafters has to be the worst. I got braces 2 years ago through my previous insurance. I started a new job with dental insurance and "financial manager" failed to file the correct paperwork to my insurance company causing my bill to go from $245 dollars to $5,500. I had a meeting with this so called "financial manager" and I explained to her that I was on a payment plan but I was not able to keep up with the payments and tried to see if she can bill my insurance with the right paper work. Her words were "Well, if you can afford money for your phone or car payment, I'm sure you can afford to pay your remaining balance." In March 2015, after months of calling and fighting with these people to get treatment for my braces, I got a letter in the mail stating that I was dismissed from Smile Krafters and can no longer receive treatment from them. To this day, I have been calling other orthodontist offices to try and get treatment but because I already have my braces in and my age, I can not get coverage anywhere. So thank you Smile Krafters for ruining my smile and causing me tons of stress and more dental problems. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO COME TO THIS DENTAL OFFICE. NOT EVEN MY WORSE ENEMY!

They gave us an appointment card that says 3:15, get a reminder in the mail that says 3:30, get there at 3:10 in case it was the 3:15, office is locked up. Made multiple calls the days before going to confirm time as 3:15 or 3:30, left messages no return calls. Do not go to this dentist, customer service is horrible

I have had braces on for close to 4 years with minimal changes. My teeth weren t that bad to begin with, no major surgeries or anything had to be done, so it was a pretty basic process. Frey Ortho said in my initial consultation that i would have them on for at least a year and a half and at most 2 and a half years. Scheduling is absolutely awful. Customer service is rude and they do not work with you AT ALL. They hire just about anyone to be a dental assistant with one legitimate orthodontist walking around. I don t know why we settled on this place in the beginning but this is the LAST place i recommend. You d get better service in a crack house

Honestly where should I start? I had called to schedule two appointments, one for each of my children. I got my reminder phone call and made sure to get there 15 minutes ahead of time because I knew I needed to fill out paperwork. When I got there she huffed and puffed because I was alone with three kids and I was supposed to have one adult per child, no one told me that. Then she said I was 15 minutes late and they would try to see me. I was a little confused because I made sure to be early. Turned out the lady who called for my reminder told me the wrong time or their schedule for me was wrong. I let her know, offered to play the message but all she said was they would try to see me... So I was supposed to just sit around and hope they call me?

Anyways, the dentist was nice and didn't seem bothered that I had a baby and my two boys for the appointments. I won't be going back. It was a nightmare. They weren't very friendly upfront and it's way too hectic.

Then when I had called and requested records for their school... That was a whole thing too haha.

Honestly, crappy customer service, nice dentists and assistants. Really need to fine tune your communication.

I highly recommend this office, the hygienist Sally is polite , caring and profesional, I m so grateful for her work and also front desk lady Ashley was so nice and helped me to find my daughter records. Dr Durai is very professional and I always follow her recommendations.

This place is absolutely horrible! The customer service or answering hotline is outsourced ! If you value your teeth and time...DO NOT GO HERE. IT is a clinic, and not a real Dentist office. They do not know you, nor do they care. Last time I went there was a nightmare! Hygienist sent me home 3 times without cleaning my teeth. I had all types of Major Dental Issues and I was told that I didn't have a cavity! I ended up losing a root canal tooth because it had so much decay, the tooth broke in the crown! I went to a Real Dentist and he said that tooth was decaying for years!! I ended up having to get a dental implant and it cost almost $4,000 in cash!! I should sue these people. Do not trust this place!! It irritated me that the voicemail system doesn't work, no one every picks up phone. If they pick up phone, they are rude and disrespectful and have no idea what they are doing!! Too many patients at this place ..it is a meat market. Terrible!!

They answered all the questions and concerns I had, and made the experience all the more better by providing me with concise explanations as to what would happen so that I would not worry. They are such a pleasant group of people, and they made my wisdom teeth extraction quite a fun experience. Thank you Dr. Nguyen and everyone for everything you do!

Great with children and emergencies! They were absolutely wonderful. The office is very kid friendly and the staff was amazing. It was the best dental experience my kids have ever gotten and i couldn't have asked for anything more. They offer a calm and comforting atmosphere which the kids loved!

This is a follow up review. Worst time slots and they are way too commercialized. No personal touch whatsoever. They have the worst follow through and follow up with you or your insurance company. Would avoid them at all costs. All about their money and it shows.

I ve never had a bad experience at SmileKrafters with any of my visits. My hygienist Jaime was great and really comforting and friendly. She really cared about my experience during my regular cleaning visit. I highly recommend SmileKrafters for general dentistry!

Hey, if you ever want to be ignored - then this is the place for you! I ve been going to this place with my mom since January and they ve been great up until this month. My mom had an appointment scheduled for the 29th. I called to simply ask how much her dentures would come out to and was told that her appointment was never even put in their schedule. Every time I would call to ask if they had fixed the problem, I d always get the usual response - someone will call you back . Well the day of the appointment came and still no call back. I had to call every 2 or 3 days just to simply ask if they could either reschedule my moms appointment or if we can still come in that day. I understand that they re busy and have a lot of trainees - but seriously almost a whole month and they couldn t get at least one person to call me back and help me reschedule? Now my mom is gonna be without teeth for who knows how long. Mind you, I applied for their care credit and everything to finally get my mom the dentures that she needs. It s really unfortunate but I ve lost all hope for this place. I ll be taking my mom elsewhere.

My 3 year old son had an appointment early this morning when I got there I was told my other son who is 4 is not allowed to come back, I have to leave him in the waiting room!! Excuse me but I will not leave a 4 year old unattended in a waiting room full of strangers! I was told since I ll be holding my youngest in my lap he couldn t come back... there is no reason he couldn t come back and stand nicely next to me or sit in the dentist chair since my youngest wouldn t be! I was told I needed to make another appointment and not bring my other child! I have never been to a place that was so Inconveinent for a single mother of small children! I will not be returning ever! So unprofessional, inconvenient and the staff is very rude!

Showed up for my appointments for dental surgery twice and both times was told that they can t perform the surgery today. I mean why schedule an appointment at all. They claimed they tried to call me but I received no calls. Completely uncalled for!! Had to drive one hour each way twice! For nothing!!! Very frustrating.

Very difficult to get in contact with the office. No one answers phone calls and voicemails are't returned. After 3 visits and making sure I did not have an outstanding balance each time, i still get a bill sent to me. Have to go into the office to discuss account because I cant get a call through which forces me to be late to work. Seem to be struggling with billing their patients correctly. Front desk staff are of little assistance.
Will be looking elsewhere.

On a better note, their dentists are actually pretty good.

I had to get my wisdom teeth out about 3 months ago in November. They were really driving me crazy so I looked around for offices and SmileKrafters came up. I talked to a friend who stated that her experience there was amazing, so I decided to have my surgery completed there. Dr. Tony Panossian was the surgeon that I had my consult with and he was very informative. The surgery itself went smoothly, I did not feel a thing. The surgical staff was very friendly and willing to make my experience as comfortable as possible! The scheduling manager and insurance coordinator were a pleasure to work with and went above and beyond to work with my insurance and schedule. If you are looking to have any work done on your mouth, this is definitely a great place to do it!!
