The chicken and waffles was absolutely delicious!!!
Waited for 60 minutes for table for Saturday Brunch....watched several larger groupsget seated and when we checked in with hostess she kept saying it'd be a few more minutes. Then the waiter lied and said he'd already called our name. Poor service, food unknown.
The food is amazing! The options the have are fun twist is the classic American diner. The breakfast shot is so fun, definitely recommended going whiskey, bacon, oj!
Really great fries, really great burgers. Really high prices. And room temp water lol. I'm not much into organic food, I'm fine with your average gmo whatever burger. Good food though...
This was my first restaurant visit after early March. I fealt very comfortable and safe. The staff was courteous and friendly. Had their Masks on. The food was well prepared and served in a safest of manner. A safe and a good experience.
If you want a cinnamon roll...split it with someone, or take a nap halfway through. Excellent though. Service was prompt, even during a brunch rush. Ps...Add bacon to the avocado burrito.
Wildly overrated. I don't really understand the hype at all. Glo's cafe is cheaper, tastier, and had a more authentic atmosphere. Chicken and waffles were not great, nor was the the breakfast burrito.
The food was delicious and the service was fast and friendly. Especially the fries were very good!
This place never fails. It is almost too good.... but not enough to stay away. Get the chicken sandwich!
The food is okay but the prices are too high and the serving sizies are terrible. Mixed drinks aren't good and expensive. If you want Street kart qoverpriced foods, then this is the place to go to. There better places for better prices on The Hill than here.
Nice menu for brunch. The brunch's timings are also suitable. Apart from that, their taste is also very good. This place has won the title by my family of their often to visit place. It will be recommended by me to everyone who loves brunch.
Filled me up in no time. Prices were fair for the quality of the food. Food is like a restaurant in Jacksonville I loved.
Excellent food, and worth the wait (expect a wait). The poutine isn't quite traditional, but still tastes great, and really satisfying after a few drinks.
Amazing breakfast drinks and breakfast fare. They are currently reservation only on OpenTable so be sure to do that before you arrive. I recommend the Bellini, the drink flight, the breakfast burrito and the mimosas!
Skillet is great for brunch and lunch, making a mean Bacon Bloody Mary!
On my last visit I had the Kale Ceasar with friend Chicken thighs. It was garlicky, tangy and great.
Definitely worth a visit!
Haven't been in a while cuz it's always line-out-the door, but happened by at the perfect time on a Sunday and enjoyed a wonderful (and substantial) meal with excellent service.
Our amazing server even brought us our Farmers Market mushrooms we left behind, tho we had walked up the block a little bit. Major , didn't catch his name.
We went here for dinner on a Saturday night in Seattle. This place was not busy and we received remarkably excellent service. I had the Cobb salad (very substaintial) and my boyfriend had the bacon mac and cheese which was super rich. This was a perfect place to grab an easy delicious dinner, without worrying about the weekend Dinner Fuss.
Love the food here, especially the corned beef hash brunch item. Upscale diner atmosphere with great drinks
Excellent food, even better staff, love this place. Will definitely be going back and would recommend to anybody!
Requires reservations in advance due to Covid. I arrived at 7:30am and the restaurant was virtually empty. Was told I could reserve at 8am. I understand capacity is limited due to covid restrictions. However, the place was empty and I'm sure they could have fit me in. I ended up taking my business elsewhere due to being super hungry.
Staff treated us so nice. The place has a cool atmosphere.
Heckin fantastic pancakes and the wait staff were also very great.
Great breakfast and very nice staff. 10/10...get the biscuits and gravy, you won't regret it.
This place will require a reservation. I was just turned away at the door. Not returning.
Service: this place is very understaffed. Took 30 minutes to get a check and 10 to pay.
Friendly staff & delicious food. Can't ask for much more!
Great spot for lunch. Casual and very tasty food, plus friendly staff. SueFrausePhoto
great place, great food. Who's ever running the show this Sunday needs to pick up their game. Way too many empty tables and spots at the counter for an effectively run place
Attempted to go here to be informed we needed to have reservations at 8 in the morning. When no one customer was present in the restaurant.
Definitely understand restrictions due to covid. But if no one is in the restaurant, it is a silly to not want paying customers inside.
Considering never coming back to this location, when I have seen other Skillet's operate normally. Their loss I suppose.
Really great breakfast spot, especially with some friends, good Bloody Marys, and food isn't greasy.
Their burgers are amazing for lunch or dinner. For breakfast you can't go wrong with the pork belly and waffles!
I haven't been here in forever, since bacon jam craze! I revisited this weekend for brunch and my family is not foodies and picky, but tried the biscuits and sage gravy, and it was a hit at our table. We had the cinnamon roll and I'd suggest getting one as a share, it was delicious and fresh! Service was normal on hill service and was ok. Their brunch cocktail menu was on point!
Holy cow! Best fried chicken I've ever had!!! All the food was amazing and Jae took such good care of us. Their safety protocols made us feel safe. I WILL be coming back, next time I'm in Seattle!
I still rate this location as the best. It is the original and still by far the best. All the food is good but Brunch is the best time to visit, especially on Saturday and Sunday. The Cinnamon Roll is the best i have ever had and the kicker is the warm cream cheese frosting. Always make sure that if you do order one, ask for extra frosting, you won't regret it.
I ordered their french toast, which they talk up on the menu. It was burnt, and cutting into the bread, the custard hadn't penetrated it at all. They clearly slapped the bread in for a second before putting it on the griddle. None of the advertised molasses custard flavor or texture. I basically spent $15 on four pieces of lightly burned toast, a small slice of ham, and two over-medium eggs when I ordered over-easy.
My friend got the chicken and waffles. The chicken was over-fried to a dark brown, like two little turds. The waffle was tasteless. He sent his back and ordered something else, which came with potatoes that had been seasoned before frying (what?!) and we're the same shade of "oops" dark brown the chicken had been.
All in all, dining here was an expensive mistake.
The coffee and service were great, but Skillet needs to fix its kitchen.
I came here for breakfast with my girlfriend and had a blast. I got the waffles and substituted the pork belly for fried chicken and it was the best decision of my life. The fried chicken was amazing and perfectly seasoned. My only regret is not coming back for dinner!
We don't make it out very often but when we do it's always delicious. The chilaquiles are amazing.
Great food, but make sure you shave and don't wear plaid, lest your confused as part of the staff. Wear comfortable shows, because there's always a wait.
Food is good, not great. Solidly made but not that interesting. It might be time to make a menu change, Skillet People.
Absolutely delicious fresh food, farm to table. Great knowledgeable staff.
Delicious desserts.
Great staff. Welcoming. Good food and quick service
While I enjoyed the diner atmosphere, the food I had was a bit par, I had came in, in the middle of a rush, and being food service myself I understand that they were trying to get food out to customers as quickly as possible, but once I started to reach the bottom of my bowl, I had a pool of oil, not grease, but the oil that my food was cooked in, leaving my meal tasting bland and soggy. Speed of service should never interfere with quality of food. Good food is worth waiting for.
Never disappoints. Delicious brunch and great atmosphere right in the heart of Capitol Hill.
Highly recommend for breakfast! I got Mike's scramble of the day and it was soo good. Partner got the breakfast burrito which he also enjoyed. Large portions. Good coffee, GREAT Bloody Mary's. Quick and efficient service.
Just like their food safety rating, our experience here was just "Okay" -- also just a heads up that the morning taters are not vegetarian
We were there for our reservation on time. The waiter said he needs to get our table ready and that there are still people sitting at the table but it will be ready for us soon and he will tell me. We waited outside because it was very crowded inside. 20 minutes later, we still haven't heard from him so I went back inside and he didn't even recognize me. We were then seated very quickly. The food was great as well as the service once we were seated. But waiting 20 minutes even with a reservation and the need to make myself noticed was very unpleasant.
It's not a place I go to eat healthily, but it's one of my favorite brunch spots. Tasty food, tasty drinks, reasonable prices.
Tasty, but hard to eat healthy. Many dishes are over done to the point where they're too indulgent and leave you feeling sluggish afterwards.
My first time here I was hung over and the greasy/gourmet/diner food hit the spot. I was so excited to see such good diner food I never really paid attention to the price. First time around I ordered the PB & J with bananas AND the grilled cheese sandwich with a side of poutine. I know i'm fat. don't judge. Paid the bill and didn't think anything of it.
The second time I came, I had the pork belly. And the third time I brought my gf and I had the mac n cheese and she had a salad and a milk shake.
It wasn't til the 3rd time I came here did I notice the prices. I realized then I paid $10 for a PB & J, $9 for a grilled cheese... sheesh... pricey... I don't remember the pork belly price because I was shocked that a salad, milk shake, and mac n cheese costed my $52.
Is the food good? Yes, it was all very delicious... is it worth the price tag? hardly so. For that kind of money I would rather have a fancy dinner... not have just fancy diner.
Great service, great food--had a reservation for Saturday morning breakfast. Everything was tasty from the breakfast sammy to yogurt and granola. Only drawback, a little expensive but probably normal for the area.
Cute spot for breakfast! Delicious food and very filling
I saw this place online and it seemed like it had lots of options, but as soon as we got there the menu was very limited. I understand that due to Covid many places are now being limited to their menus, but it would have been nice to know prior. I am giving a 3 star because even though we had no reservation( which I was not aware that we had to reserve as it was never mentioned online) they were still able to accommodate us.
Pretty good food and service, was better before they changed the menu and raised the price
great place to get fed upper level comfort food! love breakfast here!
Amazing breakfast. Unique menu, large portions, and great service.
Fabulous, fabulous comfort food. Great place to hit up after a night out. Nice staff, great prices.
Breathtaking Bacon Jam Bloody Mary and a delicious meal to boot! I'm in love
Skillet is always good for brunch! Def worth making a reservation. Good food and solid service. Never had a bad experience.
Amazing breakfast served in a casual atmosphere. There are long wait times on the weekend and the service can be slow but is worth the time spent. We really enjoyed the fried chicken egg sandwich
Customer service is terrible here! I would not recommend to anyone ever!
Great food and fun vibe. Good for kids as we had a infant with us and staff was super accommodating.
If you visit Seattle this place is a must!! Delicious & friendly atmosphere
Skillet Diner was one of the best bistro I had ever tasted although the line was awfully long; we had waited for over 45 minutes before ordering our brunch!!!
My favorite place for breakfast! I know certain places specialize in biscuits, but this place my favorite. Quick and friendly staff.
Worth the wait food was great drinks was awesome service amazing you can't go wrong with anything on the menu
