Gulliver Expeditions Review

I organised a tour to the Amazon with Paola from Gulliver & was very happy with the service!

We booked our trip to Cotopaxi with Gulliver. Katie was super attentive and very helpful throughout our stay. She was always there for us and helped us throughout our stay. We had some travel issues and Katie and Gulliver was always there to guide us and make amendments during our trip. Jose, our guide, was very experienced and helpful. Highly recommend Gulliver expeditions.

Unfortunately I was not able to book a guided climb with Gulliver at this time due to my covid test taking too long to come back. However I will certainly be booking a future with them.

Katie was not only extremely professional and informative, but so quick to reply and answer all of my questions. Best of all she's a native english speaker so there was nothing lost in translation.

The customer service was second to none, and from that alone you know you will be taken care of!

My boyfriend and I booked a 4-day trip to the Amazon (Cuyabeno) with Gulliver Expeditions last week and it was perfect. Everything was arranged as we expected, the guides spoke English and our guide Pedro even remembered our names. The guides had eagle eyes and spotted monkeys on the most distant places, that really left us amazed. We saw sloths, annaconda's and pink dolphins and about 5 types of monkeys. Gulliver Expeditions were very professional and responsive, and really thought with us while we were looking for a tour to book. This was one of the most memorable experiences of our lives.

I would give 6 stars if I could as Gulliver organized everything perfectly for our 3 days trekking trip (Illniza Norte & Cotopaxi). We had reliable transportation, amazing and passionated guides, and everything included (almost) for a fair price.

We compared prices with other tours and Gulliver are more competitive with a more serious service (some other tours didn't include breakfasts for example!). You don't need to think about anything else than enjoy your trek!

The guide did not wait me nor explained the details about the place when i arrived at the break points. I did not like the tour and don't recommend it to anyone.

I had a great stay in Quito with Gulliver, at the beginning of July, the tours are incredible, the cotopaxi was the highlight with the papagayo hosteria, the Paola was very helpful, I just didn t enjoy the yellow house, the precarious rooms, but the The lady's friendliness is incredible. I recommend Gulliver and Papagayo Hospice, I loved it.

I bought all the tours with Gulliver and I didn't regret it, the guides are really professional and the itinerary is fulfilled to the letter.

Staff are helpful, English speaking, and professional. I booked my Amazon rain forest with them. They work with numerous Eco lodges in the Cuyabeno Reserve, so they can actually sell some of the tours cheaper in their office than they are online. Minus one star because they are closed both weekend days.

We traveled to Otavalo in February 2018. I write two reasons why I do not give more stars. 1. The tour left Quito 40 minutes later than the time indicated by the staff of the agency. Nobody asked for our names. A lady from another agency for "consideration" told us to walk one block and ask the bus lord if that was the bus that would take us. 2. We inform that one of us is a vegetarian. When we arrived at the restaurant in Cotacachi, the lady in the kitchen did not seem to be informed about the vegetarian food we had requested in advance. It was doubtful. I suggested what he could offer us. Suggestions: respect the time of your customers, and do not improvise vegetarian food.

Katie did a great job organizing me a last second trip to Galapagos, her suggestions about the boat and the kind of trip were of great help. Everything was perfect.

Me and a friend did the Cotopaxi Bikes Tour 2 weeks ago. It was awesome!! The guide told us a lot about Ecuador and the Cotopaxi and the biking tour through the nationalpark was lots of fun (You could drive very fast :)). Great organization and great overnight stay in the Hosteria PapaGayo afterwards.

Katie has been super helpful in providing us with all the information necessary for the galapagos. Gulliver has many options for boats (and last minute prices) and Katie was really helping us to find the right boat for our budget and traveling schedule. We had a very pleasant experience at Gulliver.

Great time going up to the refuge. Christian is a great guide. Keeps everyone safe and explains all aspects of the national park. He has a passion for adventure and nature.

Yasmin from Gulliver was great with helping me figure out the logistics of a custom climbing trip and gave good ideas to improve the overall trip. The ASEGIUM certified mountain guide, Marcelo Segovia, was excellent, professional, helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. I would book another trip through Gulliver in the future.

I visited Ecuador two weeks ago with my friends from Argentina and we made our trip with this company. We spent 1 week traveling around the country with their good guides. The attention was first and the treatment could not be better. Highly recommended

We were on a tour to Antisana with Cristobal. We had an amazing experience. And the guide was very proffesional. There were not many other tourist. So if you like nature I can recommend you this tour. Excellent!

This review is only with respect to their organizing mountain climbing . In my experience, organizing a 6 day Chimborazo climb, the agency is just not equipped to do it. They may or may not be good with city tour, but in terms of mountain climbing, they have no idea what they are doing! The guides they hired were terrible. I gave them 2 stars because the lady that helped us (Johanna) was very sweet, accommodating, and worked hard. I just think that the agency is not equipped in handling mountain climbing.
