Party of nine, not a single bad meal. Everyone raved about the food. Most memorable dining during our week in Seattle, a city made for foodies.
Love this place! They certainly know their meats. Their apple butter pork chop is amazing and mention the chub is the best.
Definitely suggest you check this place out.
Food was delicious and liked the post modern meets contemporary yuppie decor, relaxed and not overstimulating. Portions were large and hearty. Plenty of outside seating and space at the counter. Was there on a Sunday and got right in. Scratch Donut holes and a flight of Mimosas, what could be better?
Three star, good food, good service, respectable food portion, just crazy expensive...
I will be the first to say that I am a picky eater, however, out of the 4 times I've been here I cant find anything I actually enjoy. The food is either too fatty, too sweet or flavorless. My boyfriend loves this place that's the only reason I'm giving it 3 stars.
Loved it! Pricy yet amazing! Tastes so good, of unique blends of fresh flavor. Do go all out. Add chicken Chub for best results!
amazing food every time i ve been. Get the cinnamon roll, even if you are too full, get it to go.
Poutine is Ace. Food is generally really good, although there are some dull notes. The fried chicken sandwich is missing something, for example.
Service was fantastic. Food was delicious. Street parking was easy to find.
Great food. Takes 20-30 minutes to get a table which is worth it. We went there for brunch a year ago and again couple of days ago and quality is still amazing.
It is my brunch place in town.
Definitely recommend this place.
Is this just a minor mistake or is this what you call well done? I was excited to get a well done burger but it wasnt the well done I am use to I suppose...
High quality food. Great coffee. I was disappointed with my corned beef hash, since it wasn't corned beef. It was brisket. Great brisket though.
The milkshakes are fantastic, so are the burgers and fries.
I ve only been twice and that ll be the end of it. First time our waitstaff was a bit slow but totally understandable for how busy it gets. I wish I had that the second time. I met my friends there for brunch to see our friend one last time before she moves away and the host or manager was rushing me before he even sat us. They were prompt with our reservation but every single thing that was said to us either by the waiter or manager was passive aggressively hurry up . I understand they are trying to have a timely turnover but it really irritated my whole group. Instead of enjoying one last brunch together we were stressed out over food that wasn t worth it. The manager followed me out to return my phone I left behind which I appreciate greatly. It s not an awful place but I think the vibe and direction is a little off. It wasn t a place to enjoy time with your friends but maybe that was our mistake for having that expectation.
French toast is out of this world! Cocktails are a must.
I stumbled across this place desperate for a breakfast stop while in town and boy am I glad! We got a spot right at the bar and left so full and happy. We enjoyed the little peak into the kitchen and watching the magic happen. 10/10 would recommend and I can t wait to go back and try more of that menu!
Great restaurant. Good food. Long wait during holidays like today so it's better to call or check before hand. Service was good as well. Definitely going back!
So I came to the restaurant on Sunday around 5 ish the food took forever to be ready then the gentleman hands me my shake then grabs a straw without a sleeve on it and I told him very politely hey I don't take a straw if it don't have a sleeve I took the drink like that he caught some type of attitude with me then I was like okay whatever have a great day then he just looked at me like I said something wrong
The biggest cinnamon roll ever! Food is nothing special though. For a diner, the entrees are generally small.
If your looking for delicious food, this is the place. The food tastes as good as it looks. Great atmosphere. Comfort food done right
The food is all greasy, huge, and gross. This must be a very specific taste type of thing, but my friends and I were not into it. So greasy I didn't feel good after, and I only had the fries and a piece of the giant, ultra sugary cinnamon roll (which didn't taste like much else, besides sugar and a little cinnamon) My poor friend got an actual dish (something with waffles and bacon) and he felt gross after eating it.
The staff were nice. Even turned up the temp for us. Just this food can't really be called food.
Food was Awesome, service good, parking horrible, weather THE BEST!
The gf and I really look forward to coming here when we get the chance. All the food has an extra level of flavor that most generic places don't. The wait can be long, but it's normally worth it. Free coffee while you wait. Friendly staff willing to go the extra mile for you. Yes, please.
I think the free coffee available for everyone waiting outside for a seat is a great touch.
Good atmosphere, good service the serving size was a bit large. Really loved the hush puppies! Not being southern, I had no idea they were so good!
The food here was delicious! We got the Mac and Cheese topped with fried chicken, chopped salad with grilled chicken, and their cinnamon roll. That cream cheese frosting was the best!
Great coffee! I've ordered their pastries and have sat down to eat once. Freshly made food that taste so good. But the winner is definitely their coffee. They have parking in the back or you can park on the street.
Had the breakfast sammie and it was delicious! The sausage was just the right mixture of salty and sagey and the taters were phenomenal. Great for breakfast or brunch.
It was absolutely amazing! The cook, i believe Stephen is his name.. Made me the best chicken i have tasted in Seattle! Perfectly cooked and no pink! Definitely recommend.
There is no words to describe awesomeness here. Loved it.
Favorite diner in Capitol Hill. Food is excellent and the staff are friendly. Menu is updated frequently, always for the better.
Only been once but the food was pretty good, I liked the ambiance and the staff were friendly. Would like to go back and try more.
Great service but food was off this happens at the best of places so don't let that detour you. I am going to give them another try.
A fine place for good, substantial food and good service overall. Excellent breakfasts (as that is all I have had there).
Great place to grab a bite. Service is efficient and the food is delicious. You won't be disappointed.
Modern diner, great food but a little pricey. If it's your first time, have a fried chicken sammy and some poutine.
It's a very good American style cafe. The coffee, food and drinks are just fine. The Chicken Sammy is about the best fried chicken sandwich I've ever had. Some of the portions of the dishes are way too big so go with friends and share or stick with the sandwiches and salad. I don't like spending so much on three times as much food as I can eat in one sitting.
The staff is very helpful and I wish I could actually remember her name because she gave us an insight to Seattle that we may not have otherwise had. The food is delicious and the coffee is great!
Food was delicious, large portion size, reasonable price. The service was great as well. I've tried many other breakfast/brunch places, but I would have to say Skillet is one of my favorites.
Got my order wrong. Very simpler order too. Way too expensive for such simple foods. Not that great either. Pretty basic stuff but masked as delicacies.
After a late night out the picture perfect grilled cheese, fried chicken, and tomato bisque accompanied by thick chocolate shake were exactly the right choice for lunch.
I was so excited to try this place, it smelled so good! Unfortunately the host was rude and gave us attitude. We still decided to get on the waitlist anyways and waited over 25 mins (he said the wait was going to be 15 min, because he had reserversations and had to give people their food) I totally understand that! but my friend went to go ask how much longer and the server was still having attitude. We felt so disrespected, makes me not ever want to try this place.
Used to be my fav spot but plamdemic procedures make a visit here less than enjoyable. Better to order take out for now. Food is still super good.
Great place for a quick healthy bite! I especially love ordering online when I'm in a hurry. The staff are always very friendly and helpful!
My favorite breakfast spot, great beer, Bloody Mary's,?
Cute place with a rustic vibe. Great homestyle food.
My favorite place to eat. You can't be disappointed here, no matter the dish.
Service is a tad bit slow but the food is pretty decent.
The food is taste good here. But when it comes to the service, it's a different story, unprofessional at all.
Food is tasty. I have tried biscuits & sage gravy and it was very good. Pricewise, it is not cheap but it is reasonable. I was hungry and portions are large enough.
Able to seat us in short order even though we did not have a reservation. All parties enjoyed their food.
Really awesome food! Great atmosphere, good coffee. The Little Rob is decent, but only if you get the chicken thigh with it. So good!
Dropped in on Tues. The staff was very helpful and observant. It has a good feel to it. Reminds me of a place in New York I loved to visit.
The atmosphere and layout is nice, however the food make no sense.
A good brunch menu with some really nice veggie options. They are famous for their fried chicken I wouldn t say its the best i had but its good. The vegetarian burger was really nice and I loved it. The tomato basil soup was delicious.
This place takes reservations so plan ahead otherwise there is a long wait.
Food was delicious and original, my Irish coffee was perfect too.
The most basic residents of the hill will gather here for brunch en masse Saturday s and Sunday s.
It s uninspired food with slow service. The portions are large but just don t taste great. And then you end up bringing back this kinda bad food and leaving it in your fridge for a while so it can really taste old and mediocre.
I can promise you that your reaction to this place will be it was okay and then you will forget about it.
I gave it three tries. There are just so so so many better options around the hill that have amazing food, a meal here is a bland waste of caloric deficit :(
Phenominal brunch especially their pancake fried chicken sandwich!!!! Biscuit with gravy is just average as the biscuit is just dry and the gravy wayy too think to keep the biscuit moist enough. Great service killer drinks. Get ready for wait times during the weekend but well worth it.
Excellent breakfast would recommend the chicken and waffles
Its a generic hipster/millenial joint. Generic food served with kale, I can drink beer out of a mason jar!!! But Brian the bar tender knows how to make a damn drink. So, If that's not your thing, just go home and cry into your safety blanket.
I came in and I'll order the grilled cheese it was small but good neither the less the bacon jam was really on point in the fried chicken thigh was very good also... Tomato soup basic..
This has to be one of the best diners around! The staff was very nice and helpful. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very vintage and gave it a really cool feel. We chose to sit on the patio which was great! Their were seven of us and we all loved our food! The chicken and waffles were really good!
Go to the Skillet for their specials of the day. The moist pulled pork sandwiches are to die for, the fries are seasoned with herbs and parmesan cheese, the milkshakes are the bomb! I do have to say that I am not fond of their burgers, but to each his own! Skillet has a location inside the Seattle Center food court as well.
Now I am not usually one to leave a review, but my family and I are visiting seattle from England, and we have been loving the customer service everywhere we have been the last few days, everyone is so happy and friendly, but we came here tonight and were completely blown away, being British we are pretty picky about prices, yes it's true, but this place is well worth every penny. The food was impeccable, but not only that, the atmosphere, the music, the staff, they were all 5stars easy! I read some reviews before going and expected small portions, I ordered a salad which when it turned up was huge! Not only that, absolutely beautiful, every mouthful was a delight! My other half had the mac'n'cheese and was so happy, but couldn't quite finish it all, and before you know it they're offering you a box to take it home! (Which for is Brits is a rarity). My father in law had the steak, which at $26 you get a bit nervous, but it was cooked to perfection! We all ended up eating off of each other's plates we were so amazed by the beauty of it all! It's generous, welcoming, busy (but comfortable of course). The staff are more than happy to help you pick and Explain what certain foods are without making you feel like a Derp! It has all the cuteness of a kitten, with drinks served in preserves jars and even real napkins! Water handed straight to you in generous bottles! Being a young couple with the in laws it can be hard to find somewhere we all agree on so well! But heck, we are here for three weeks and I can certainly say we will be going again more than once! Thank you for your hospitality, friendly faces and beautiful food!
My first time here after driving past it a few times. I ordered the southwest chicken and my partner got the mamas meat loaf. Both dishes were packed with its own unique flavors and the portion was definitely worth it for the price. My southwest chicken has a peppery honey glaze that was subtle and sweet. The chicken was crisp to perfection. The flavors from the meatloaf pairs well with their mash potatoes. Both dishes came with a serving of finger potatoes and chopped carrots, both of which were seasoned and cooked well where it wasn't too hard or too soft. There's no doubts that the chefs at Skillet puts a lot of attention into their dishes.
Delicious food, amazing designs, great atmosphere. Genuine people.
The food is fabulous. And the service is stupendous
Mediocre. The menu sounded good. But the reality was much less.
Coffee was barely ok- watery. In another city this wouldn't be a big deal. But in Seattle I expect good coffee!
I had the corned beef hash. Which was greasy in the extreme! And bland. The beef wasn't even "corned"! The tops of the eggs had a puddle of oil.
Really good comfort foods. Service is great. I don't usually give 5 stars to anyone but doing it for this place. Been here for 2 year's never went here before. This was my 2nd time here. Both times were great. Great morning breakfast and place to eat with friends
