Just one of my favourite quirky tasty creative places in london. Such creativity, courage and flair.

Amazing food, great service, very fun interior, old fashions are ok
I was disappointed. The decor and atmosphere isn't as 'wow' as I expected it to be. I was not too impressed with the food either, for what you are paying it definitely needs to be better. My husband enjoyed the teas. Waitress could have been more attentive.
Beautiful decor. Afternoon tea well worth it. So many different flavours and the staff are great when it comes to allergies. The bathrooms are also well worth a visit too
Came for girlfriends birthday and loved it. Will be going again for sure. Flavour lacks in some dishes but scallops very good
I had high hopes for this place. What a letdown. Aside from the pink interior, David Shrigley artwork, pod toilets and gentleman just after the front door welcoming us, nothing positive stands out. The food is massively pretentious - don't bother with the disappointing fish and chips or wagyu beef special which was bland and didn't taste like wagyu (you get better quality buying wagyu burgers from Aldi).
In any restaurant, let alone an extravagant one like this, if I've finished my drink then I expect someone to ask if I want another. No-one did. One of us drank sparkling water whilst the other two drank still water - they managed to mix the sparkling so all three of us were drinking it.
The seating arrangement felt too tight like you were on top of each other which didn't really offer any kind of privacy between tables.
I also didn't appreciate the sneaky Place2Be donation on my bill. Granted, I should have double checked it before paying but then I expect to be asked if I want to donate or not.
This place used to be top top top place in town... and yet very humble. Now it feels very artificial. I guess the management changed. French chefs still play their magic well to keep the place standin
Excellent service, fantastic food and atmosphere! Would definitely recommend!
This was my birthday event. The location is very discreet although located just off Regent street. The outside sign is difficult to find as well, as we directed several people to the location. However when you do enter, its a continuous stimulation for the senses. Its hard to describe other than amazing. Its a throw back to an era of opulence and the service matches that. My waiters were all french and awesome. I was in the Gallery/library, again positively sexy. I was even welcomed on my return from the bathroom Sketch is an experience that everyone should try at least once. The food and presentation is stunning. The service is amazing, the internal visual is positively sexy, but this is an expensive venue, but worth every pound. I made my husband very happy last night for the gift and experience
Totally love this place. Very highly recommend this place for cafe hopper. You will get lots of pictures from here. And very good place to spend time and hang out with love one.
Food was not great. It seems most people are here for the design of the rooms.
Quirky, delightful and delicious. Went for tea, going back for cocktails. Make sure you check out the bathrooms!
Lovely staff who looked after us super well! A visual feast
Great food, though expensive. Patronising sommelier.
A wonderfully unique experience throughout. Sketch has a warm and enticing atmosphere. Accommodating and inviting staff. Good service and great drinks. If you re visiting London, you have to check it out!
The best meal I've ever had at Michelin starred restaurants, a wonderful - and perfect - balance of flavours, and excellent wine pairings. I went there a few years ago when it had two stars, but the kitchen seems to have upped its game and the third star is well deserved. The Lecture Room and Library is a riot of colour and imagination, a wonderful place. Service is also faultless. Loved the whole experience.
Restaurant's main room and toilets are the reasons making this venue one of the things you shouldn't miss if visiting London
Don t bother...much nicer places for afternoon tea. Lovely setting just let down by the staff, service really was shocking considering they have so many people working their. Had much better afternoon tea s else where.
Don t waste your money getting afternoon tea here. The aesthetic is really nice, but everything else was a disappointment.
The food was average considering the price you pay. The service was absolutely horrible; waitstaff is rude and incredibly slow. Additionally, the feel of the place was odd; waitstaff seemed like they weren t allowed to show any emotion / were having a horrible time. Many people who came to the The Gallery seemed to only want to be there for an Instagram picture.
All in all, save money and have a better time at many of the other nice places to get tea in London.
Top Class restaurant , no wonder why they have Michelin star. Just professionals and they really take care for staff!!! is amazing.
Booking needed. Restrooms are wonderful designed but instead, small. Very friendly waiters. Foods are amazing. Desserts was really nice designed and not too sweet.
Sketch is a fantastically quirky building consisting of multiple bars (three - check them and the bathrooms out) and two restaurants, a two Michelin star one upstairs, that I have not been to, and The Gallery downstairs, which is literally an art gallery meets restaurant. I have been here for both their Afternoon Tea and Dinner services at The Gallery and it is a very fun space at either time of day. The staff is also fantastic.
Dinner: The food is truly fantastic and I am drooling thinking about it right now. The menu changes seasonally.
Afternoon Tea: this comes with the normal afternoon tea fair of tiny savory sandwiches and nibbles, all very nice if you like that sort of thing, and dessert treats at the end. There are options specifically for people who might be lactose intolerant (me!) or vegetarian that can be used instead of the traditional set as well. The best part of afternoon tea is the huge selection that you have to choose from and the fact that you can get unlimited refills and really try out the 50+ teas that are on the menu. There is also the option to make this a boozy, champagne tea if you want.
Must do while in London. The pink restaurant is breathtaking.
Hands down the best experiential dinning experiences of my life. Every step, every moment is perfect curated and thought though; there s no detail too small for the creators of sketch.
The food is perfect. The drinks, are so fresh and fun; we had the Rose Buds of May and it s absolutely fabulous.
My wife got the veal and she said it s a must try!
The toilets are crazy it s like you go into a different world.
Must try! And you ll be a fan for life.
Would give it zero stars if I could. I was wearing work pants and the man at the front door kept saying they were tights and not allowed inside the venue. Ridiculous. Overhyped. Do not go.
Different styles of rooms to choose and different menus. Breakfast was nice
This is something different. At the entrance you are welcomed by a staff member in a distinguished uniform, who states the possibilities in the place. The whole setting reminds you of a luxury restaurant scenario from a futuristic movie. If you are tight on budget, you should definitely at least try the outer tea room, and simply order one of the black tea's with honey.
Very bad service, took almost an hour to be seated with a reservation, food quality was poor for cost and our waitress disappeared for over an hour and had to be replaced by a bus boy. Do not waste your time.
So appreciable, service was on Top as everytime in London, comparatively to Paris
One of the best afternoon tea you can get in London. The staff is friendly and the place is well designed. The toilet have an iconic design that is good spot for taking picture
Still a good spot even after all these years. Get there early (before 11pm to beat the crowd) if going for impromptu drinks though
Came here with a friend who was travelling from the States. The lovely manager (older gentleman) was able to fit us in at the last minute. Excellent service and the food was amazing. They were able to adjust the afternoon tea as I don't eat seafood and provide scrumptious alternatives. The decor is really nice and modern with live music. Highly recommended.
The atmosphere is cosy yet chic and the food is beyond exceptional with so much attention to detail.
Highly recommend!
The atmosphere and ambiance is worth the visit. The food is above average and the prices are according. The coffee, however, is below average. Surprisingly, it's Nespresso coffee. You'd think at such a nice place they would have hand crafted espresso drinks, so that was extremely disappointing.
A proper restaurant in London. Great service, fantastic food, and an environment that envelopes you in luxury. The Library is absolutely worth the experience. Would definitely do next time I'm in town.
Very special ambience, with interesting and delicious meals
Great food and athmosphere. Always fun place to go.
The rose tea is to die for. So tasty! The pistachio dessert is great as well. Super weird yet cool spot. Their pink room is very pretty as well as their super weird yet cool restroom. It is pricey so prepare for that. 3pm is def there slow time so make it then so you don't have to wait.
Good attention to detail, great and unique atmosphere, food ok. You are going there for the experience
Live music, attentive staff and a good selection of teas. I came here for Afternoon Tea was pleasantly surprised with the welcome and care taken to make sure everything on our table was Vegetarian. Staff also made sure our water glasses were never empty. The decor and china is lovely. However, the cakes and pastries really aren't as delicious as they look - quite dry. The teas are very light, no need for milk let alone sugar.
It's definitely a good experience, the art and the staff really make it worth it.
One of my favourite spots. Always great service and a vibrant atmosphere
High tea here was like participating in art. What a unique experience
Food and service were really good, the ambience and interior looked amazing. The toilets were fun and interesting. Worth going for a special occasion because it's on the pricier side.
My partner and I were gifted this as our wedding present and I had always wanted to visit here so this was very exciting for me.
Firstly, the ambience is lovely. Very careful attention to detail and an extremely creative setup. Love it.
The service and food is what let us down. We had a waitress whose mood we couldn t quite place. She seemed abrupt and impolite, however somehow perked up when serving the table besides us (odd but okay). It seemed she wanted us out from the moment we d been seated. The afternoon tea menu was not explained to us as it is usually done and she started rushing off before my partner had chosen his tea (she d assumed that we both wanted the same tea?).
The cakes and sandwiches weren t exceptional. there was one sandwich we both liked and when we asked the waitress for a couple more of those, she rolled her eyes and responded with I don t know which one that is? When we tried to describe it to her. The desserts were also of average quality and we opted to leave them there rather than take the home as they would go to waste either way.
Overall, a disappointing experience. The taste of the food was probably tainted by the rude service. The bathrooms are pretty and clean but definitely not something that would bring me back to this place.
Will not return.
Amazing tea selection, the food is delicious and the service and characters are absolutely perfect.
The place was very nice to take photos. The pink mood and the lovely paintings on the wall were really nice. But the food was very disappointing. Most food were based off strawberry jam which made at the end, too disgusted to eat any more. Non sweet food were mostly salty as well. Did not understand why egg toilets were famous as well. They had some nice string quartet which was a nice mood change.
Always a good time at sketch. Top notch bathroom and service
5 star experience. Yes it's expensive. Yes the portions are small. But you knew that going into the place! It's more for the experience than anything... And maybe for the bathroom pics as well!
Best place ever. The food is amazing, the service is excellent with a great and friendly staaf. Open till late. 5 stars. I will come back x
Great experience overall. I had lunch in the Glade room and was able to visit the other rooms after eating. Food was good, cocktails were great, service was great and atmosphere was amazing! Price was comparable to any restaurant of this type. Was worth it for the experience. Would recommend!
The food was amazing, the atmosphere was great (violinists and cellist incredible); and the staff could not do more for us! 100% recommend
The attention to details and the caring for customers is out of this world. Creativity pours from the food, ceiling, walls, floors... Please don't miss this espetacular restante.
Out of 5 stars it is a 20+.
Food overpresented, cocktails average, taste combinations didn't work.
Cheese souffle way too heavy - tasted like something out of tescos.
The only thing that we managed to finish on that day was the bread..
Venue was impeccable, service outstanding.
Please come here for the gram and avoid the food.
Such a great place for dinner and drinks. Lovely lounge with different themes
Great place to stop for a drink or tea. Be ready to pay up. The $15 glass of champagne is worth it just to experience the bathroom (it s all eggs)
Sketch is really quite a unique London experience. Breakfast was very tasty, was served quickly, and was a very reasonable price for the area.
Went there for breakfast and had a double feeling about this one. Atmosphere and looks of the different restaurants do not disappoint and are worth the full 5 stars, however, the food is not alligned with the prestige sketch reflects. Would be extremely happy to pay a bit more for the food if the they would go slightly more gastronomical.
Food is worth 3 stars, therefore ending on 4 starts.
Beautiful room and thoughtful, delicious food. Great to find somewhere modern and cool for afternoon tea, that still feels special.
Superb however be warned there are a lot of courses but the team make everyone more special than the last. Hats off to the caviar man who made our experience extra special
This place is highly overrated. Came here for good food and was shocked at its below-average standard. The interior design is OK. The toilets are really cool and so is one of the bars, but the rest is quite tacky and try-hard. Despite the More
Over priced food, but then again amazing atmosphere.
sketch is fun, sketch is playful, sketch is fun , cool, and hip. Everywhere you look people are Instragaming themselves and their meals. It's a 'see and be seen' kinda place.
I saw woman here sneak in just to take pics to pretend she could dine her before the matre'd nicely asked her to go. She was wearing a big hat, a furry vest, no shirt or bra, skin tight leather pants and high heels. An older man with white hair and a scarf walked in with a three piece white suit, a red shirt, and an entourage of young Bohemians behind him arguing about Fellini. They ordered a lot of drinks and forgot to eat. Epic people watching kinda spot.
Come here to see the walls, the egg pod bathrooms, the ultra sleek black and white bar, the people watching, the vibe. The food is 'fine', but not epic, fancy but not filling, but that shouldn't stop you. You'll need a reservation, make it a few weeks in advance. Go and have some fun. It's cool.
We had a great dining experience here at sketch. The waitress which name escapes me, but she was from Italy. The food came up a little short. Some of the courses blew me away and some just didn t taste good at all. The environment and decorations of the restaurant were amazing. I just wish we got more from a two Michelin star restaurant. Cheers
A few weeks ago I elated to take my sister for what was supposed to be afteenoon tea. In the end we rebooked since they could not accommodate my pram in the tea room ( had to get the hubby to stay home with the baby). Eventually booked for lunch at The Glade and made reservations for 3pm. We got there at 2:55pm and was told by the maitre d' / host our table was not available yet and we were asked to wait. Around 3:10pm, the table was still not ready and we were asked to wait at The Parlour upstairs. We were seated at the bar and while waiting we ordered mocktails, time now was about 3:20pm. I thought these should have been on the house since they were not alcoholic beverages, not costly and should have been some compensation for what was about a 25 minutes wait now. At 3:30pm , we decided we would wait 5 more minutes and then politely cancel our booking. Luckily, a waiter did come to fetch us during that time and we were taken downstairs and seated. The ambience is quite different so 10/10 for that. But afterwards became a bit of a let down, took another 15-20 minutes to get a menu then another 5 minutes to get someone to take our order which by the way my sister had to literally get up an ask a waitress Thank goodness we kept our drinks from upstairs. We previously called and asked if vegetarian offerings were available and we were assured so. In the end aftering waiting again we got our meal around 430pm. We got a pumpkin soup , a vegetable dish and a zoodles dish. The portions were quite small or maybe we were very hungry waiting. Paying the bill was another wait and we ordered dessert to go because at this point I was fed up and the waitress forgot so we waited again. Honestly, I don't mind paying for a good food experience but the bill did not justify the food which was good but not memorable or the bad customer service. We were quite annoyed with this experience because booking indicated you could not be late etc and while on time we had to wait about half an hour and receive bad service. Maybe next time they should not overbook and keep a manageable crowd. Still had to stop by M&S on the way home because we were still hungry. Won't be going back anytime soon.
Enjoyed a great breakfast there. Everything was delicious, the Belgium waffles were amazing. The family enjoyed everything about this place, even the bathrooms.
Delicious food. Classy atmosphere and service. Must visit
Lovely gallery and the gift shop is full of such great things!
Very stylish and quirky design, the food was great, along with the quality of service one received. Overall a very delightful dining experience, can't fault it one bit!
Marvelous.. made me feel like I had someone with me even though I was by myself. Thanks for being so friendly
Great place with an arty atmosphere and lovely food.
Prices are a bit higher but worth paying for the experienc and quality.
I recoomend!
A wild place aesthetically but definitely good for instagram posts
Overall fantastic (we started in the glade for drinks and went to the library for dinner). Great food although dessert was a mixed bag
This is my second time here, in a different themed room I was having lunch with my family (girls trip) in the Glade room. You feel relaxed in this room, escaping from the noice and people in the shopping streets.
We reserved a table in advance, or else we wouldn't have gotten to eat here. We only booked two days in advance and got to eat here at 15 pm.
I had the two course meal; duck with fries (good sauce to the duck), and the sketch chocolate for dessert. The beef was also good, with goose liver and some type of crackers.
Great place to bring family (the kids should be a bit older to enjoy this place) and to bring your date
As widely known, the interior of this place is worth your while. The food was delicious, left nothing to wish for. The service on the other hand was not satisfactory, it was not in line with this level of cuisine. We even felt ignored when we wanted to order extra drinks and when we wanted to pay the bill. One expects a certain kind of service to accompany a high bill. Smiles were scarce on our waitresses and sommeliers faces.
If you go, I would opt for a high tea or a breakfast. Make it a visit for the experience.
Trying too hard to be quirky and cool. Two hosts on the door told us to wait while they checked if there were free seats, came back told us there were and then when we got to the bar the next host told us there weren't any seats. The place was uncomfortable and overly pretentious. The staff were rude and uninterested in helping. There were too many 'hosts' who didn't seem to have an responsibility.
Abit tourist place! But love everything here!
Two kind of tea room: elegant pink and tropical green, check out the bathroom! Salad, Rissoto and tea set are extremely good
How to even begin. Do you like experiences? Do you like novelty? Do you enjoy special places your date will remember? Well, this is all that. Come here for the afternoon tea experience. The decor screams Instagram-worthy, the restrooms... well... that s a whole nother experience in itself. From all the things I ate from the afternoon tea selections, the black truffle brie sandwixh was a standout.
Interesting decor. The atmosphere was a bit clinical. A nice place to meet and take friends.
The place is super nice and the atmosphere is incredible! This feeling of a place being posh but stylish at the same time! However, the food was just decent, the portions are small and I wouldn t say it s some kind of culinary chef d uvre. So don t expect too much
I'm from Sydney, food was to a very different level here. As different as it was and had its unique twist to bland flavours. That's still all it was.. Bland and boring or overly done on salt
Had the steak and the tartar and the ravioli.
Entrees are pretty good.. Dense in flavour, maybe the entree needs to go down a notch before being hit with a bland main
Or you can get dessert as well and that may be your 5 star experience.
Just for the 2 course it was definitely disappointing
Lovely staff, and interesting venue. Mediocre food.
Overpriced, but this place is an experience; come here for a drink and the decor. Beautiful furnishing, David Shrigley art-covered walls and unique interior design are reason enough to see this place.
Make a reservation in advance, because dealing with the hosts as a walk-in is unpleasant. It seems they don't communicate internally about availability. A host will offer a table in one room, only for another host to come and hastily reject us. It makes you feel like intruders, rather than guests who had been guided by their colleague. It is unpleasant to bounce from room to room under the guidance of someone, only to be told completely different information from other employees.
Well, what can I, a simple man, say about a two michlin star restaurant? Every thing was unbelievable - the place, the food, the wine, the service and the bill.
I don't think I have the necessary tools to judge such a place. A once in a lifetime experience, unless you are very wealthy, but it was worth every penny.
An amazingly extraordinary place themed in plush pink with eccentric art and performances ranging from a real live ballerina, to live classical music ensembles. The afternoon tea was exquisite, and if you get it with champagne, prepare to be dazzled by the pouring! A must visit experience like no other. Magnifique.
Highly recommend. Book well in advance for high tea otherwise they have a parlour room which is still nice. Would go again.
Sketch is a great place to take friends has that real Wow factor!
If in London one just do Sketch. It s a magical place. We ate breakfast here on our last day in London before flying back home to the US. If the dinner menu looks like it might break your bank then breakfast is a much more affordable option. I had the porridge and full English breakfast. I shared my porridge with my partner and both were yummy!! He had the French toast and it was great but the portion was rather dainty. So if you go hungry you may leave hungry...you know us Americans and how we re accustomed to helping portions. However I d go back again. It was a great experience. Cheers!!
We went here for my daughter's birthday. The service was incredible and we couldn't have asked for more. The food was brilliant and the decor is stunning - my daughter spent half the time taking pictures in the bathroom!
Took my little sister here for her graduation gift. The experience and setting were great. Selection of teas fantastic and the scones and sandwiches were delicious. The cakes REALLY let the food down, every single one was sickeningly sweet, we could only nibble each of them to try, such a shame when the rest of the experience was so lovley, but for the price you pay everything has to be good.
