Went with my husband and 9 and 6 year old boys during Fright Fest and it was a blast! Newer rides are great for the whole family and it was still spooky enough. The only con was the cost. Admission, parking, and food for four can easily cost $300-$500. And on top of that, tickets for all 6 haunted houses costed $24.99 each person. Overall though, its worth it to go at least once.
We are season pass holders and are usually VERY happy worth Six Flags BUT we were beyond disappointed tonight. It was the first night of Hallowfest... Formerly known as Frightfest... And I would rate it a 0 out of 5. There were NO haunted houses, one itty bitty section with 2 actors dressed scary, and most rides and kiosks/stores were closed. Even the train was closed. Absolutely NOT worth the trip or money we pay for season passes. I understand COVID restrictions but come on.
Short lines. The y disinfect rides after abt 2 or 3 eounds. Hand sanitizer available throughout park
Always a good time.....except for the lines. They can't really help it, but it kills the fun. Food, drinks and games are too expensive. I would play games and eat there if I could afford to. I always pack a lunch and snacks.
Oh that is a no brainer! Sixflags is always exciting from the rides to the shows it is always a fun wonderful experience for my family and I! The food is also delicious every time!
As a season pass holder I've gotten the most of my money this year. Even more now that they're open on the weekends!
It was great! Definitely buy a Membership ahead of time and get a Flash Pass!
Its a fun theme park with entertaining attractions. The lines are really long.
Good times always
Tip
Bring old six flags cup you got laying around for free water refills
Im used to Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio, so to compare the two, this one has easily has more rides, and better theming... but it's way more compact and hard to navigate. There are also spots here that have little to know shading compared to the other but they try to make up for it with tons of misting fans. I would like to give it another shot... but on paper it's a 3 hour drive from Austin, but in reality with traffic in the area it's more of a 4 to 5 hour drive to get there, and it doesn't feel like it's worth it.
Its awesome im on a school trip with my friend and its AWESOME 11/10 will go again And Try the Sambero
For the price ALL the rides should be ready to roll at opening time. Waited at least 30 minutes for
LaVibora at opening.
Six Flags is awesome! However, it's been my experience that several of the rides are down from time to time for renovation, so don't expect to ride everything in one visit. Additional staff would help out with getting through the initial line in a timely fashion.
Break in the heat made for a good night on the coasters
A wonderful park. On Columbus Day they offer a reduced entry..
On June 2nd, there were hardly any lines. We were able to get food drinks quickly as well as most of the rides there was no wait. Its was super hot outside, but the amount of people there, it was just right.
It was once a great place to come to. But it is now just a shell of it's past. It's 1995 Six Flags with a new-ish section. Several areas are looking their age. The customer service is laughable at most of the places to eat. Also it's rarely not way overcrowded.
Hurricane Harbor is even worse in all areas.
After coming back a few years ago with my kiddo so she can experience what I grew up with, I will not be renewing our seasons passes. The value is just not there at $64 a person.
Great place to visit beautiful view and excelent service.
Lots of rides, but generally very crowded for Fright Fest.
So to start, I'm a disabled military veteran. I found the experience to outstanding. I mostly keep to myself because having a service service dog is a chore in itself but we dont ride rides. But my family had a great time. Lines were manageable, restrooms were clean, but the paper towels were out. But the employees were very nice. I love that the fire pits are still running (I love the smells) anyhow, great fun and well worth our platinum memberships
Been going most of my life and I have fun each and every time I visit!
My kids bring out the kid in me I love this place because of them
I personally love coming here with friends! But when I go with friends, we go on a Friday after school because since people are getting off of work and stuff like that, on fridays, it's "empty"! And I love that because the lines are less than 30 minutes, and sometimes, there is no line at all! But I really do recommend going to Six Flags. ;)
Great family entertainment, something for everyone, although a bit pricey...
Lots of and a great place to take the kids! Not very packed, but there were a lot of people seen not following the mask policy
Madison at guest survises was a great help. Very speedy and super nice!
Great place for the kids and adults alike. A lot of rides, games and food. A lot to see and do. A little better than your usual amusement park.
Not worth the money, even at half price. The rides are shut down constantly to give employees breaks, 8 were never opened at all, and they are all in such poor repair I'm not surprised someone recently died. Sealbelts are worn and sunbaked, and restraint bars are too hot to hold on to. There are nails sticking out of all the wooden handrails that caught our clothes and children as we walked by them, causing injuries. The lines for food were not long, but it still took 20 mins to order because the employees were too busy talking to each other and blatantly ignored many customers. They do not wear gloves in serving your food, as I watched the fryer employee in back with no gloves hand the cashier food after she had just handled money and a very dirty register. There is no where to refill your "all day cup" after 6pm. No ice in any of the soda machines after that time and icee is not included so warm soda or warm water are your options. The soda and icee stations were covered in bees and it takes 3 or 4 tries to get a drink without a bee in it due to them crawling up inside the nozzles. Bathrooms are not kept up and many were closed. A large portion of the park has no shade for long stretches and they put up yard sprinklers, yes like $5 ones from Walmart, attached to hoses on the fences spraying back and forth across the walkway with what I can't imagine is potable water since it's meant for watering grass. Cover your drinks! Do not waste your money and time and risk your health at this park.
This was a fun place, but would not recommend going during Spring Break. My daughter who is scared of everything actually rode Judge Roy Scream and loved it! My toddler loved the bugs bunny park too. The souvenir cups we're a life saver but I would recommend that the park set up specific places were souvenir cups people can go to refill their drinks instead of have to wait in line lines. Schlitterbahn does it, so y'all can too!
Customer relations needs more workers. Other than that, we had a great time.
No clear instructions on gaining entrance. Very scarce water fountains and they taste terrible. But a hell of a lot of fun.
Here is a tip, you need to buy an admission ticket additionly if you buy a flash pass. It's very worth it to wait in the shade on a bench until your ride turn is up.
The place is a lot of fun I ve been going several times a year since I was 7. I m 32 now. Ever since they started doing the monthly payments for season passes. It s absolutely over run. Shoulder to shoulder through the park. You wait in 1.5 to 2.5 hour lines. So riding more than 4-5 rides per visit is nearly impossible unless you completely exhaust yourself. We bought the diamond season passes for the better parking. Only to be informed that we needed to reserve our spot online. So ended up parking at the back anyways. It s just too crowded lately.
Great place to hang out, walk around and fun rides!
My 19 and 14 year old sons enjoyed the rides, but commented on the lack of atmosphere in the park. This may be due to the season having only just started. Food is, of course, overpriced especially the refillable drinks bottle, at $16.99. Restroom directions could be clearer. The four stars (rather than three) represent the ride experience which, after all, is what such a park is about...
My whole family luv our Season Passes. Good, safe family fun
Great park! Fun rides and kept up well. But if you need immediate customer service, your best bet is to go talk to them at the park. You can't call and wait on hold. You will be sent straight to voicemail without the phone ringing, and they'll call you back when they can. Or you can email them and hope they get back to you in a timely manner.
This place is always amazing, and keeps me coming back for more!! Definitely worth getting the membership, at least a diamond but gold is fine for people on a budget. The rides are clean, lines usually go by very fast. Only thing is that because of covid restrictions sometimes the ride will close temporarily and then have to be cleaned after that. they do clean the rides hourly, they have to run all of the trains each time. So yeah, if you have any questions, I'll answer :>
I am biased due to weight, but darn it if Disney can be fat friendly, put some work into it Six Flags! I spent an entire day there and went on 3 rides.
me and my sister made a reservation online last friday to go today. we show up and the park is closed! why would they allow you to make reservations on the day the park is closed. what a waste of time and gas ):
Friend has the diamond membership and food plan, wow! Park close, eat and drink free!
I visited the park on a rainy and cooler day which kept the crowds very low. This way, I was able to enjoy many of the rides without the inconvenience of long lines. I has dinner at JB's Barbecue and the food was amazing! I look forward to visiting SFOT again soon and I highly recommend it to any thrill-seeker visiting the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
Ride stops when we are at front so they can have a break and kicked us out of wait
Disappointing bought the best monthly membership online before going and it was so confusing. Never got my cup for my unlimited soda. Parking was not clear. Rides were down. Batman, Harley and few others closed while we were in line
today 05/21/18 my daughter s school went on a field trip to Six Flags Over Texas. It was supposed to be rewarding trip for kids. I went as a chaperone. It was the most horrible experience. Park was grossly understaffed! While lines on rides are expected, lines to grab a snack, or lunch, or just a bottle of water should not be 45 minutes! It was hot! Vending machines on the square by Freeze were out of water! All of them. We checked 8 or 10 of them. And lines to buy a bottle of water at snack stands, and ice cream stands were 45 minutes! Food places which served lunch had a wait time of over an hour! Even souvenir stores had long lines and one cashier. How could you understaff the park so horribly? You sold those tickets way in advance! You knew how many school districts are going to be there with exact number of sold tickets. How? Poor children stood in line on a hot day for almost an hour just to buy a bottle of water. At least stock up vending machines on a hot day with plenty of water. I have never seen such long lines for just a snack or a drink anywhere ever! Greed is amazing! Get all those people in and staff the park with just a few employees. What a torture instead of a fun filled day!
Over priced for what they have to offer, not a lot of allergy safe options nothing is clearly labeled. Makes taking my son dangerous if I plan to feed him while there. Also I wish there were more family rides.
Great park to take the kids. They have an area just for kids just don't forget to take the kids home before it gets dark because they release monsters of all kinds.
I worked For six flags it was a wonderful experience
The kids love this six flags. They are looking forward to going back
Great family place and I love they have a section of the park set aside for the smaller children with even a small coaster and ferris wheel style rides.
Fun and good for the family. We like to come during summer vacations!
Had a great time. Purchasing a season pass wad was a good decision, it saved me a good amount of money. In the end it pays for itself.
The Batman ride is down 7/10 times that we are there. Or breaks down while we are there.
We went during the "Holiday in the park" season and it was so crowded, we felt congested with narrow pathways and parking too far from the main gate. The lights were overrated but not too bad. Would I come back, yes for sure as the kids love theme parks.
This park is dirty, overpriced, and overrated. Many rides didn't open when the park opened, but Six Flags didn't communicate that so we just stood in line for the first 50 minutes after arriving. During the day many rides and attractions were closed. The employees were rude and acted like they hated their jobs. Our day at Six Flags over Texas was a complete waste of money and a vacation day.
Multiple rides DOWN. Redundant food choices. Unenthusiastic staffers. Dirty tables everywhere you try to eat. This park will remind you that Cedar Point is the best amusement park in the United States.
Awesome place to visit with ur kids... Everyone in the family will love this place.. you have rides for ppl of any age except babies under 1 year of age... Must visit this place for all
Honestly, I'm only giving 4 stars because six flags is a part of my childhood. I always have fun but unless you get a season pass, it's really expensive. Like other amusement parks, the merchandise and food is way overpriced. The park is generally clean but super old. Best area is Gotham city and the new area of Gotham city which makes sense because they are the newest areas.
Rides are great but employees seem to have no interest in customer service.
Six Flags over Texas has a variety of rides and attractions. The park is well landscaped as well. The roller coasters provided great entertainment for my family. Their favorite was Mr. Frieze. There are plenty of restaurants of all types. Plus, ice cream shops, funnel cakes, candy and many other delicatessens to chose from. I found it quite hard to stay away from the funnel cake. If I had been there any longer, I would have gobbled up one. On the downside, the bathrooms were gross in the afternoon. Also, I looked around for some shows without any luck since I am not fond of roller coasters and other scary high rides.
I am now handicapped and cannot walk well enough to go to huge parks but this was one of my favorite places to go in the 1960's through the 1990's but I haven't been there since the 20th century.
The rides were great!!! We can't wait to go back! They also had a variety of food!
We enjoy coming a couple times a month. Seems some rides could provide a bit more shade while waiting in line for hours from the hot hot Texas sun. For the most part the park is clean, the rides are safe and the entertainment is fun. Some rides tend to break down for no known reasons over and over which leaves you standing around. I wish they had places to sit down. I have limited mobility so standing for hours with no relief stinks but it's a theme park not a resort, I know what I am getting into when I go. Lots more people then benches or tables at restaurants though. Handicap parking is none existing on a busy day and that really really stinks for limited mobility folks. Overall if you get a membership with dining pass and live close buy it's a good value for the money.
Went on Sunday before Christmas & had lots of fun. It was a little chilly but still a great time @ Christmas in the park
the park is what you would expect from an amusement park.. rides, food, typical guest, decent restrooms. good way to spend a few hundred bucks and hours. BUT to fully experience it, i definitely recommend getting a flash pass. you ll see the park in a whole new fun way.. so many memories here. will always be a place that hits home.
Always loved this park. To bad many things closed (on a busy Saturday) and still many show venues left unused, which is sad.
I took a 5 day vacation and went here for my step sons bday and we had so much fun it's ridiculous!! If you do go here, I definitely recommend getting the diamond season pass or you'll be wasting your time, and money! Be ready to wait in a lot of very long lines too, but all in all we had a great time and will be going back soon! Hope to see you there...
Dear Sixflags,
I m unbelievably hurt by the actions of the tram conductor and driver. Today April 20, 2019 at 1:08 PM I was Approached By what I now know him as Bob. He removed the chain to the waiting area and before I could push my stroller Proceeded to tell me that it would not be able to take up one seat of the tram and that it would have to be placed on the floor. He proceeded to ask me (condescendingly) if I had ever been to six flags before I stated yes I had been there the day before.
While visiting the park yesterday around this time as well i never was told this by any other tram operator. I stated to Bob that my visit yesterday they did not inform me of that. He then said that they were not doing their job correctly then.
As I was holding my nine-month-old I began maneuvering my stroller to be able to fit on the ground of the tram which bob made no effort to assist. Once it was on the ground of the tram I proceeded to ask if this was OK to Bob he then stated no because of the wheel slightly hanging off the side of the tram I was not going to able to do that either.
At this time other customers of the park had seen me now flustered, holding a baby and our possessions while moving a stroller all different directions and began to help me maneuver my stroller to where it would fit exactly how Bob would like it to fit inside the tram however the wheels did end up taking a seat of the tram and Bob said that was fine which in the very beginning we were trying to avoid because he said that my wheels could not take up a seat of the tram And they could not hang off even an inch, not even a little bit outside of the tram.
At this point I m flustered because he told me that I couldn t do something and then proceeded to allow me to do something after other customers had to get involved to help me... then at the end of the ride I asked for his name he refused to tell me and I then kept questioning him he then stated his name was Bob I asked for the last name he refuse to tell me his last name as well I then turned to the driver of the tram and asked him his name he reported back to me that I am not answering any questions I am not in this ordeal as I continued to asked for their names..John as I now know him turned to Bob and stated that he needed to call security on me. I asked them to please call security so that that we could get this solved because I am a second level security officer myself. I stated I would love to talk to security officer they then proceeded to drive away rudely and quickly.
As I walk the rest of my distance to my car I began to become very flustered and hurt by the situation
I absolutely love six flags I treat all of your employees with so much respect and I admire them so much and I was just profoundly disrespected...
I felt as soon as Bob had laid eyes on me and saw that I was caring a nine month old and had a stroller he made it very clear that he did not want me riding his tram, that it would be too big of an inconvenience for his tram to carry me and my daughter to our vehicle which is in area 52 in the very back of the park right next to the exit sign.
So I decided to call security myself to take a statement and as I was going to wait for security a security officer was doing his rounds and told me to speak with Delia and guest relations.
I no longer wanted to go back into the park so my husband located Miss Franklin and had her call me to get my statement and proceed with a written statement, not only was Mr. Snyder remarkably efficient at his job but Miss Franklin was no doubt matching his customer service and completely turned my day around from being hurt to feeling like I should give six flags a second chance.
I want to thank Miss Franklin and Mr. Snyder for their customer service and their understanding attitude I also would like to thank them for being efficient and very very good at their job!
However I would like to know what will be done about my harassment because I still do not want to even continue my membership at this point...
Thank you,
I love six flags over TX! Great fun for the family. Gave it 4 instead of 5 for the lack of cleanliness in the bathrooms.
After going several times with my season pass I noticed how ridiculously long the lines and wait times are( several more than 1 hour standing in lines). It's exhausting. Makes me not even want to go at all just thinking about it. I would give it 5 stars if lines were less than a 20 minute wait time.
Fun rides and great food. They have a huge selection of games and merchandise and lots of great deals on special days. I definitely also recommend getting a membership to save even more.
It was fun. Alot of walking, but the kids had a ball
We had a blast our son and grandchildren enjoyed themselves. We loved the Christmas lights. We will be for summer :)
My wife loves rollar coasters. We now have the season pass, I totally recommend it, get the one with the unlimited soft drinks, it will change your life mostly for the better, if you empty the bottle five times before getting on El Diablo and then vomit lemonade in the other rides and get kicked out, don't come crying to me.
greatest attraction in DFW
EASY to maintain social distancing and practice safe entertainment for the family
The monthly membership is great if you go often! We liked it. However I can't say the crowd there is classy. California Six Flags had a much nicer atmosphere
Food concessions need to train at McDonald's to learn about quick service. Why does the sanitization require spraying, then running the ride empty 2-3 times to dry, and then wipe down because its still wer? Just spray and dry it the first time!! Some rides were closed too... and i can't understand closed soda fountains.. ???
Complete ripoff. Hot, overcrowded, and costs too much to stand in line.
I especially loved the superman, I loved it so much that I rode it 3 tomes in a row
Weather was bad. However, I'm still a fan. A couple rides were temporarily closed. Staff was a little inattentive in my opinion. Bought a subscription to gold membership so we can come back weather permitting. Food is ridiculously priced but the bc rides make it worth it!
Customer service is literally ZERO!! RIDES are crazy!! Rides for kids are fun.
Go here often but today was the first time they made me angry. They seen a cloud and said it was going to rain and shut down mostly all rides and guess what 2 hours go by andd no rain. I paid for my daughter's friend to come and she did not get to ride alot of things because of this...
Super fun amusement/theme park! Huge andnwill keep you walking all day. In the heat of it all, park offered free water for safety and kept the party fun. Definitely worth the cost, efforts and energy to go.
